Should have remembered this blog entry....
https://www.liquidmetal.com/protecting-our-brand/
Never said it did :)
https://www.techradar.com/reviews/asus-zenfone-6
“Asus says the mechanism has been tested for 100,000 operations. And that it is made of “liquid metal”, similar to the stuff used in the hinges of glasses. It’s designed to take rough treatment.
Liquid metal sounds like the stuff of science fiction films or, more likely, marketing nonsense. But there’s substance to it. These alloys are formed in a different manner to the usual aluminium alloys seen in standard phone casings. “
Maybe Lugee means business ...at least understands importance of trademark

No but I lived in SoCal half of my life. :)
Well just remember Lugee only has a license to around half of the IP, and a lot of it was the older stuff...so he does not have a license to full book.
And infringing or crossing the line requires defense of the overseer....Apple.
I have trimmed what I held through the past years, so what’s left I can stomach as still in the green.
Bruce was in China recently, I firmly believe the decision was made there by Lugee to shift, and its coming to life now.
I know I’m way out there but I don’t think Lugee is going to let his money go down the drain. Best of luck with the new baby, our four year old is our pride and joy! :)
Keeping to my plan til end of year. Don’t get me wrong I’m not happy but I got my big boy pants on
Just posting my two cents about the whole thing after reading through several portions of the filings. They are my thoughts and this is not about agreeing or disagreeing.
“Investments in the commercialization of our technology are made with the goal of reaching volume manufacturing levels, scaling and generating sustainable revenues, and ultimately reaching profitability. As part of our regular review of available markets, the pace at which development projects are being converted into production contracts, and our manufacturing costs, we have determined that current results, inclusive of opportunities in the development pipeline, are unsatisfactory and untenable. As such, we have commenced a comprehensive review of the options available to us in the context of our current strategy. While no decisions have been made, any change to the current strategy, depending on its nature, may result in fundamental changes to our marketing and sales approach, cost structure and/or manufacturing outlook.”
1) “in the context of our current strategy.” = what and where in our current plan do we adjust and still continue long term track, and make money in non-BMG markets.
2) “While no decisions have been made, any change to the current strategy, depending on its nature, may result in fundamental changes to our marketing and sales approach, cost structure and/or manufacturing outlook.” = our focus shifts to making money in non-BMG world, perhaps lower margins but bringing in money. Our BMG commercialization will continue but no longer hold front seat as that is in the long range plan; which we know will arrive at one point but adoption rate is slower but picking up.
The more I read it in a mind set of what the words said, and reading Bruce’s comment below, I thought well maybe Kris Kent said, look love the BMG tech but you need to make money right now and after 9 months I’m telling you redirect the plan to places you can make money while still pursuing BMG’s.
“As a result, we have deemed it prudent to undertake a comprehensive review of strategic options, with the goal of maximizing the current and long-term value of the Company."
Best of luck to everyone at this point in what ever decision you make.
Agreed KS.
Martin is reputable company so positive advertising. Wonder how they came up with “gold” version
Thanks for sharing! So three different versions, nice!
So your saying you are a sucker for paying for their long breaks?
Thanks Dlicious! Industrial electronics company...nice!
Man this board has gone haywire
I’m not in either camp for arguments sake, in terms of Apple using or not. However, read on how long and $$ it took to bring aluminum to life for them.
Regardless they are still a viable customer, I think I’ve heard that several times lately.
Where did you get that from?
Absolutely true? Subjective or factual ....
You know they mention potential conflicts of interest with Liquidmetal Golf in their SEC reporting. Man you would expect to see Lugees absolute conflict of interest in the last annual report at least.
All I have to say is that writer read posts here on this board, read the article again and compare to certain posts/theories here. Bunch of crock ....
No I’m not defending Liquidmetal bud that dude who wrote article should retract it.
Silence had nothing to do with bull commentary from some stupid dummy which cost you and I money. Plain and simple to me.
Agreed DMN, nefarious people out there trying to create stupid chaos with BS evidence. The writer couldn’t even get the ticker symbol right, so if people emptied because of that then well deserved.
As long as they make lots of money from them I’m good.
Well when a $20+ billion a year revenue machine like Hereaus pop up, at first I was like grrrr. Maybe it’s pennies or fractions of a penny to them, but they decided to venture in our world with Engel.
If we are to make money we need more adopters and big adopters along side, so will see what 2019 holds. This is a pivotal year for me to make a decision to liquidate or not, so let’s see what Lugee does.
Apple would be nice to have and they remain a viable potential client i presume (I think that’s how you say it). However, they need non-CE fish and whales to start using it.
Exactly, just off permit dollar amounts somewhere between 250-270K.
Yep Lugee wanted to burn that amount of money....just for kicks.
Own is not the right word .... get it right.
Yeah ok ... they’re in China right now.
Yeah ok bud.
Hmmm taking is different than having a license to and to not ALL IP.

“In one embodiment, the first housing component may be formed via a first process and the second housing component may be formed via a second process. The processes may be similar or they may be different. For example, the first housing component may be formed via various forming techniques, such as drawing, an extrusion process, machining, forging, and bending, while the second housing component may be formed via different processes, such as injection molding, punching, and the like. It should be appreciated that injection molding is not limited to only plastic material and may be applied to other materials, such as metals. Liquid Metal is one example of a metal material that can be injected molded”
From Apple, issued as patent today.

“A moldable material from which features are formed may be formed from substantially any suitable plastic or resin. For instance, a moldable material may be formed from a plastic such as polycarbonate or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). It should be appreciated that a moldable material is not limited to being a plastic or a resin. By way of example, a moldable material may be an injectable ceramic, or a moldable or injectable metal such as LiquidMetal. Liquid metals, and the use thereof, are described in U.S. Provisional Application No. 60/949,449, filed Jul. 12, 2007, and entitled “INSERT MOLDING LIQUID METAL AROUND GLASS,” which is hereby incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.”
Exactly .....
