Love that statement from PB... shows tremendous confidence in the marketability of the ip...
agreed... impressive... I thought for sure we would continue drifting red over the last two days of June as shorts try to control borrowing costs... up 21 cents on one of the market's worst days of the year is quite impressive... will be very interesting to see what tomorrow brings...
mea culpa... my apologies to the board as it has become clear that bill joy 72 isn't the bill joy that I thought he was... sorry for the confusion...
the best thing to come from this sordid mess is the Keen tweet which assures us that Glassware adds "big value" to both Azure (which we knew) and to Windows 10 (which many of us suspected)... thank you to Danyo for posting this tweet from Keen...
"@michael_keen: @billjoy72 first & foremost #Win10 & #Azure r not built on Glassware container tech, but it is a big value add 2 both platforms"
#whatisthisworth?
#spiffyisthebasfofit
the validation of s3d ip is overwhelming... those who don't see that are paid to not see it... it really is this simple... peace and joy to all longs... jmo... glta...
Glassware & Snapcloud core of win10, Azure and azure storage... per Bill Joy tweet...
#spiffyisbasfofit
#whatisthatworth
Notice the trend... everyone who actually kicks the tires on S3D comes away with positive views... doubters are converted... make no mistake... this is irrefutable...
From wiki...
"William Nelson "Bill" Joy (born November 8, 1954) is an American computer scientist. Joy co-founded Sun Microsystems in 1982 along with Vinod Khosla, Scott McNealy and Andreas von Bechtolsheim, and served as chief scientist at the company until 2003. He played an integral role in the early development of BSD UNIX while a graduate student at Berkeley, and he is the original author of the vi text editor. He also wrote the 2000 essay "Why the Future Doesn't Need Us", in which he expressed deep concerns over the development of modern technologies."
He might know a thing or two about technology...
Let's call this the story of Bill Joy's conversion... brought to us by a friend who takes a very common sense approach to investing Here it is in his words and Bill's through twitter...
"I first ran across Bill Joy , like you did, in the comment section of Simons article. As you know at that time he was quite skeptical. Then I cam across some tweets between him & Simon a couple of days ago. The first tweets were from 6/22. He still sounded doubtful about Sphere & GlassWare. His final tweet was this:
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 22
@SimonBramfitt Good night Simon. Off to Redmond tomorrow for tech briefing at Msft. Have lots of questions to ask about their container tech
Whatever he found out at Microsoft seemed to have completely turned him around and he made the following tweets after his trip:
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 24
Enjoying briefing at #Microsoft, this is definitely not "yesterday's company". The change is extraordinary
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 24
"We've been focused on re-engineering our tech stack to make it easy to take advantage of cloud service delivery"-#Microsoft cloud architect
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 24
@simoncrosby @Sphere3D With Glassware, everything runs in microvisor & container in cloud, thus hack proof with better performance than VMW
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 25
@mkleef @simoncrosby Then you would know about Glassware container tech. Embedded in Azure to deliver any app any device plus cloud storage
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 25
@mkleef Hmmm, company is saying Glassware & SnapCloud are core of Win10/Azure & Azure storage respectively. Thus make Msft secure, scalable
William Joy ?@billjoy72 Jun 25
@mkleef Recommendations for other sources? Glassware is also "only way to extend life of XP and XP apps." Appreciate your input. Tnx"
Nice find... so much going on with S3D... q2'14 ends Tuesday... the following six quarters are going to be fascinating... quarters 7-12 are going to provide some huge surprises... unless of course a buyout happens sooner... jmo... glta...
Promark played a significant role in helping nutanix achieve a 200 mil run rate in the hyperconverged space... this space is continuing to grow... Promark will help ANY do the same... only for ANY the hyperconverged market is not their only market... easy to forget that S3D is only in its sixth quarter of monetization.. Nutanix took 11 quarters to reach 200 mil run rate... just 2-3 quarters later and nutanix is approaching 300 mil...
Text below quoted from Orion Nebula... based on his many years of experience in the medical administrative field... full text is saved as a stickie... just one thing that will be cranking up in q3, which begins Wednesday... and we don't even discuss this ANYmore since Microsoft came along... I really like the line "provide substantial cash upfront and on an on-going basis"... it is truly remarkable what this little company S3D has going on right now...
"It is a huge oversight, and actually naive to not see the import of this announcement. I worked in a large hospital but our bill for these services when I left 3 years ago was about $3.5 million a year. The refresh alone will be huge as I can't imagine the 400 facilities left refresh out of their agreements with Novorad. Just doesn't happen. The tab to refresh 400 facilities is going to provide substantial cash upfront and on an on-going basis."
one day it will become public knowledge as to who is accumulating ANY shares during this period... the first reaction will be "wow!"... the second reaction will be... "ok, now that makes sense"... the third reaction will be... "man I wish I would have bought a few more shares back then"... jmo... glta...
July is a month known for its firework displays... this July ANY joins the top .2% of Microsoft partners, Snapcloud becomes available through Azure, Novarad begins refreshing 400 medical sites with ANY products, school administrators begin gearing up for a new educational calendar year, Microsoft rolls out windows 10...

wow! explains a lot... thanks for posting...
Quite alright... I am with you... excellent advice... I am now making liberal use of the ignore feature... it has brought serenity to my ihub screen...
Don't be fooled... very nice accumulation pattern continues... jmo... glta...
Newsflash... Spiffy scores in the 99.8th percentile on its Microsoft partnership exam... that's an A+ on ANY grading scale... all longs need to know you're invested in a company that Microsoft views as top .2%... 40 out of 20,000 partners...
#whatisthatworth?
yes... we have grabbed the Tiger's tail... now we see what the Tiger will do about it... p.s. there may be more Tigers too...
For all who wish to know... the validation of Spiffy ip is stunning and overwhelming... for those with a financial incentive not to know... there remains a few holes they can poke around in... as for the whales... they are nibbling and not the least bit unhappy that an end of month takedown is underway making for a finer accumulation price... believe it or don't... jmo... glta...
The simple reality is you do not know what the monetary gains are regarding Ericsson and Cleversafe or Ericsson and S3D... much going on with both startups and Ericsson... lest we forget... 3 months prior to the Cleversafe announcement there was this...
12/03/14
http://sphere3d.com/adams-networks-selects-sphere-3ds-virtualization-solutions-for-telecom-service-providers/
“There is a tremendous opportunity in the virtualization market that requires a solution with the right price performance benefits” said Jim Broemmer, CEO at Adams Telephone Co-Operative. “Sphere 3D’s automated solution allows us to expand our portfolio of offerings to include economically sound virtual desktop and application services to our customers.”
"This solution is part of Sphere 3D’s joint offering to telecommunications service providers with Ericsson, a world leader in the rapidly-changing environment of communications and managed services technology."
It is likely that both Cleversafe and S3D ip will be part of Ericsson's product offerings development... it is a very, very big pie... and Spiffy gets a really nice slice... jmo... glta...
#SpiffyistheBASFofIT
Cleversafe... good company... good product... private... 100 mil in venture funding as of February article... 100 mil... on its way to 100 mil rev stream...
http://www.sramanamitra.com/2015/02/10/billion-dollar-unicorns-cleversafes-unique-ip-strategy/
What is the big difference between Cleversafe and Sphere 3d... no one, other than its private funders, partners and management, has a vested interest in the success or failure of Cleversafe... no one needs "proof" that they are on their way to 100 mil run rate... no one has vested interest in saying their deal with Ericsson doesn't mean ANYthing... it really is that simple... the same is true with Dockers and Nutanix...
Sphere 3D's stock is treated like a ping pong ball precisely because it is a public company in the very early monetization phase of its development... that leaves plenty of room for debate, games and gamesmanship... it also provides the opportunity for retail investors to participate in something that is not available to them through Cleversafe, Dockers and Nutanix... the opportunity and the rollercoaster are part and parcel of the same package... enjoy the ride!
Microsoft gave us one heck of an intro, far above and beyond the formal announcement... and in 2 weeks or so we join the top .2%!
Agree. Spiffy's ip offers part of various solutions. It is not the whole solution. It's a very, very big pie. Spiffy gets a really nice slice... jmo... glta...

"The vesting or payment of Qualified Performance-Based Awards will depend on the absolute or relative performance of the Corporation on a consolidated, subsidiary, segment, division, or business unit basis. The Administrator will establish the
criterion or criteria and target(s) on which performance will be measured. To qualify an award as performance-based under Section 162(m), the Administrator must consist solely of two or more outside directors (as this requirement is applied under Section 162(m)), the Administrator must establish criteria and targets in advance of applicable deadlines under Section 162(m) and while the attainment of the performance targets remains substantially uncertain, and the Administrator must certify that any applicable performance goals and other material terms of the grant were satisfied. The performance criteria that the Administrator may use for this purpose will include one or more of the following: earnings per share, cash flow (which means cash and cash equivalents derived from either net cash flow from operations or net cash flow from operations, financing and investing activities), stock price, total shareholder return, gross revenue, revenue growth, operating income (before or after taxes), net earnings (before or after interest, taxes, depreciation and/or amortization), return on equity or on assets or on net investment, cost containment or reduction, or any combination thereof. The performance measurement period with respect to an award may range from three months to ten years. The terms of the Qualified Performance-Based Awards may specify the manner, if any, in which performance targets shall be adjusted to mitigate the unbudgeted impact of material, unusual or nonrecurring gains and losses, accounting changes or other items specified by the Administrator at the time of establishing the goals."
jmo... but I would be shocked if the employee incentives were designed in such a way as to leave the employees out in an early buyout which increased the valuation of the company 10-20 fold...
Fully diluted including employee incentives roughly 50 mil shares at $45 = 2.25 bil... a steal for msft... imo... would position msft to make a run at becoming first trillion dollar company...
It is adequate verification for me and incredible news... EK said at last conference call that msft partnership is as good as it gets... and so it is... top .2 %... 99.8th percentile... just phenomenal!
Really appreciate all your reporting jtfm... thanks...
Thanks pete... I glossed over this earlier and didn't give it proper weight... this is fabulous...
"I also don't believe there are a bunch of funds 'nibbling' away at shares. Maybe one."
Try two... and that is all I have to say about that...
So much happening with this company... it is difficult for me to keep up... I seem to remember reading a post recently that stated MSFT has something like 20K partners and they highlight 40 at an annual conference... 40 of their most important partners... and that S3D is one of the 40 this year...
Did I dream that? Or is that real?
I was reflecting on that this morning... if this is true, then only .2% of partners get highlighted annually in this way... while 99.8% do not... and Sphere 3D... our little nanocap... is one of the .2%...

analysts using their various formulas and methodologies are not particularly good at quantifying growth that is likely to be a severe outlier to the normal range...
...the take away for me here is the continued validation of the long thesis, the company's ip... and the growing awareness among various market participants... the positive initiation is more important than ANY specific price targets or revenue projections... imo... there are likely more to follow...
Totally understandable... Don't know if it makes you feel ANY better, but shorts are now being played.
No worries. Running after your kids is awesome... Much more important than this message board...
"When" is the correct question word... Some very, very deep-pocketed institutions are accumulating... Eventually they will carry this to 12 and beyond... jmo... glta...
Now that was funny...
Clear to me who is clueless regarding this technology... As for my head it is focused on 3 clouds.... Azure, AWS and Google's...

We're on a pretty good two month run... are you really frustrated over a minor retracement? the market's re-valuation of spiffy is well underway... the narrative is changing dramatically... the material developments are remarkable... today and yesterday were excellent consolidation... these are very good times... jmo... glta...
JB... this is a remarkable collection of material resources... thank you for taking the time to compile and continually update...
the story of S3D is a story of remarkable material developments... everything else is noise... jmo... glta...
the approximate number are very, very many... as a couple of large investment houses have come to play...
