Wolfrun - Sorry cannot private reply. I do believe Rocky will let the post stay because the content of the story deals directly with the Canadian militarys vision for sanswire stratellites. They link directly to sanswire's site from the story.
I saved the pdf and opened it from my computer. The document properties show it was created 9/28/2005 and last modified on 10/27/2005. So it is something they are currently looking at.
Have a great night
Kevin
Page 97, they shot our Aerostat down. Now that is going to hurt the share price in 2025. LOL. As you read through the story you get a picture of what they have in mind for the stratellites.
If you click on the binoculars in adobe reader and search for "aerostat" you will see every mention of the aerostat and the uses they have for it. Interesting
Kevin
They also have a "aerostat" mention on page 32 that links to a old article about the stratellite.
Note the pages I am referring to are the pdf page number and not the page number listed in the story.
Kevin
Ok, I have finally done it. I found something that is fictional that I think Rocky will let me keep on the board. LOL
Crisis in Zefra is a fictional narrative designed to illustrate emerging concepts and technologies that could become part of Canada's Army of the Future.
http://www.army.forces.gc.ca/zefra/documents/Crisis_in_Zefra_e.pdf
Sanswire link on page 39 of 170, look at the highlighted "aerostat's". Sanswire web page is linked from there and footnoted.
Keep up the great work Rocky. I'm still chuckling about a fictional post that will stay on the board. Never thought I'd see the day. LOL.
Kevin
rankin2323 - Thanks for sharing. You have mail.

Centerline Communications LLC President - Mr. Joseph Monterosso will be attending Pacific Telecommunications Council 2006 (PTC'06).

Interesting to read the conference topics. Under the technology heading is "Alternatives for the last mile" I can think of the best alternative:) Which we will hopefully have solid proof of by the time this conference occurs.

Kevin
Well, if that is true, I will really enjoy this cup of coffee then. Article has nice sanswire mention.
Thanks
Kevin
Sorry, just noticed the date at the top of the article. I must get another coffee. LOL
In case anyone is wondering why Mr. Huff is holding Stratellite information so close. No reason to help the competition catch up. They do mention sanswire and that we have the technology.
"US company Sanswire Networks already has technology that could be of interest, Gobbi says. Its unmanned Stratellite platform has solar-powered engines and proprietary “lifting-gas technology” to maintain position at a target altitude of 65,000ft, which is above the jet stream for stability reasons"

Institutional shares now 3.52%. The Vanguard group added a nice chunck in the 3rd quarter. They increased 158% from previous quarter.

Rocky - I completely missed that post when you first posted it. I went back to see why and think I was busy taking in the updates from the shows. I also noticed there were not many comments on the post, which makes me wonder if other missed it also.
If the part about being contracted for a fleet of lighter than air communication “stratellites” is correct, it would seem we are moving along nicely. Globetel would not contract for enough batteries to build a fleet if they were not planning to build them.
Thanks you made my day again. LOL
Kevin
Lithium Technology news not directly related to stratellite, but PR does mention applications their batteries were used for in the past 12 months.
"Other applications include a prototype of lighter-than-air communication "stratellites"

Testsite1 - Sorry to hear about your loss. Take your time on the update. We will enjoy it whenever you get it ready.
Thanks
Kevin
Noticed the top of the displays says Telecomnext for March 6, 2006. Here is the link http://www.telecom-next.com/
Kevin
AHH, so excited I just ran outside and looked up! LOL
Thanks again
Kevin
Are you telling me this is set up at the entrance of the trade show! That is GREAT! Thanks so much for the pictures and the feedback.
Looking forward to seeing more!
Kevin
Thanks Testsite1 - would love to see the link to the photo and video you spoke of.
Thanks again
Kevin
Yes, I guess you could say it is just wishful thinking on my part. Also since Mr. Huff said next few weeks, instead of couple, I guess I'll give him another week. LOL (just kidding he can have as much time as he would like, as long as he gets it right.)
"Timothy Huff, Chief Executive Officer of GlobeTel commented "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to demonstrate and fly our military airship prototype during the next few weeks"

PS - You do not have to yell:)
I agree, and cannot wait for the video!
Kevin
If you think about it no news is actually news. We have reasonable assurance it did not crash. I doubt they could hit Edwards from 65K feet if they had a failure. If they hit anywhere else the news would be all over it. So if they did test launch, IMO it must have been successful.
Kevin
Great article - As I read the article, I could not help thinking back to the Globetel Stratellite mention from the Telcom 05 main page. http://www.telecom05.com/conference05/
From the article you posted: "Conferences on television delivered via Internet technology and the "triple play" of voice, broadband and video services have drawn everyone from federal regulators to movie studio and technology executives to the Telecom '05 event this week"
From the Telcom 05 stratellite mention: "GlobeTel introduces the first stratosphere communications airship for Voice, Video and Data."
It appears Mr. Huff's timing could not be much better.
Nothing like being at the right place, at the right time, with the right shares (GTE). LOL
Kevin
Updated again. Video link works this time.

guy6 - I just called Michael Cimini at KCSA Worldwide and left a message on voicemail. Told receptionist it was extremly important.
Kevin
Well look on the bright side. When we put out PR's which have great news, but have to be continually replaced for small errors, we get lots of newsline hits. 2 so far today and hopefully a third out of the same PR. LOL
Even with error, I am very happy with progress
Kevin
Off the phone, the person who handles that is not able to come to phone. I told receptionist it was important and explained that it looked bad for a high tech company to put out a pr which causes internet explorer to freeze up. Not a good way to attract new investors. I hope she passes the info along.
Rocky - if you are around, it might be good for you to call also.
TIA
Kevin
guy6 - thanks, I am on the phone with GTE right now trying to let them know about the typo. On hold LOL!
Kevin
It may not be the origional video. Here is the old link and it still works.

Anyone get the video to run? Keeps crashing my internet connection. Are we knocking the discover channel out with high hits. LOL.

Sent the following email to GTE investor relations after reading Serious1's post about handouts. Will share any reply I receive. Kevin
Hello, my name is Kevin A----- and I am a long time investor in Globetel. I am very pleased with the progress. I have read reports on the investors hub message board about the ISPCON 2005 booth that GTE has set up. They sound to me like the company is putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.
Also mentioned are handouts being given to attendees. Since I have invested all my spare change in GTE and cannot get to the conventions, is it possible to email me a electronic copy of the handouts (.pdf, .doc, etc.). It must be considered public information, since it is being shared at a public convention. I would also like to share it with fellow investors via investors hub. It would be equally acceptable to post them on the web site for us to view.
Thanks, and please pass along to Mr. Huff and company my compliments and appreciation.
Kevin A------
serious1 - Thank you! Kevin EOM
Somehow I missed it or forgot I read it(LOL-dumb brain). Apologies to all for reposting.

What is the Naval Research Advisory Committee (NRAC)?

Sanswire mention on page 40, entire document a great read.

Enjoy
Kevin
Great find! That confirms it. I just knew Telecom05 was going to be for the stratellite.
Again thanks for the post.
Kevin
Rocky - Based on your statement. "First of all it is important to understand the commercialization of the airships will take place somewhere other than the US until the FAA is ready to establish guidelines" Do you think we will even be able to test sanswire 2 in the US?
Kevin
Question. I just looked at AMEX most active list. As of 10:21:27 AM they only show GTE with a volume of 378,600. Our volume at 10:21 was closer to 600,000. Does anyone understand where AMEX gets it's numbers from?
Kevin
