The big claim for the Cyclone engine is that it can run on multi-fuels. The fuels that might be remotely available in the near future are Hydrogen and bio-fuels. Since there are already internal combustion engines that run on these fuels, why do we need the Cyclone engine that has the efficiency of a diesel and a design that has not been tested in the real world?
WHE; don't hold your breath waiting for the installation of the Bent Glass deal. Cyclone was supposed to deliver prototypes to Advent last year; nothing ever happened.
WHE question: How does Cyclone capture the waste heat from an internal combustion engine without restricting the exhaust flow and thus decreasing the efficiency of the engine?
I appreciate your honest opinion on the CYPW Board. Since they have limited me to 2 posts a day and they delete a good number of them, I don't get to say much.
I just don't think they are at the point where they can show a complete running engine. The only thing I have seen are bench model parts of the engine not a complete stand alone engine. They have spent a lot of time and money making those pretty shiny non-running mock-ups.
Canada Approves Patent on Cyclone Power Technologies’ Green Engine
Cyclone Power Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CYPW) announced today that the Canadian Intellectual Property Office has issued a notice of allowance for patent protection on the company’s environment-friendly external combustion engine.
Canada’s approval of the company’s patent application marks the sixth major industrialized nation, including the U.S., to issue patent protection on the Cyclone Engine. Recently, China, Russia, Australia and South Africa also issued patent acceptance letters.
“We have received a great deal of interest in manufacturing and marketing our clean, green engines in Canada,” stated Frankie Fruge, Cyclone’s COO and Director. “With this protection we are in a better position to enter agreements with Canadian groups, which we believe will ultimately generate sales and licensing revenue.”
Canada has been making great strides recently in developing renewable energy projects. Ontario, Canada’s largest province, passed the Green Energy and Green Economy Act in February aimed at making the region a leader in renewable energy production over the following years. Of high importance in the legislation is the production and use of biomass, a fuel source on which the Cyclone Engine is particularly well adapted to run.
Cyclone received its first patent in the United States on its award-winning, heat regenerative steam engine (#7,080,512) in 2006, and then on the engine’s unique centrifugal combustion chamber (#7,407,382) in 2008. The company has applications pending for other components of its engine in the U.S., and for the engine in virtually every industrialized nation.

Lampasas I wonder where Buenijo is getting his information, and if it can be verified?
feinanddandy , In regards to your questions, I answered the one on the Chevy Volt. If you went to the site I posted, you would find the details you were looking for. Your question about Raytheon's test results, as I have stated before, cannot be answered because Raytheon has not made the results available to the public.
feinanddandy , you constantly ask me questions and never seem satisfied with my answers. Please do your own DD because I have neither the desire or the obligation to answer any more of your questions in the future.
I think I know where Piecemaker was when he made this statement. Post#14668
Just ran into the office from the shop where we are running a test on the WHE, in fact.....

dotell, Harry has had the concept for 5 years, I think it is time he shows the public a Cyclone engine powering a device with independent test results. Until then the Charles Ponzi idea might be close to the truth.
Without information the public is not going to believe his claims and the stock will not go up.
dotell, I suggest you relax a little and smell the roses.
Buenijo, here's another lesson for you.
Carbon dioxide is generated as a by-product of the combustion of fossil fuels or the burning of vegetable matter.
I listed 3 or 4 forms of green power, I never said they where the only sources of green power.
------------
dotell :
Water electrolysis does not convert 100% of the electrical energy into the chemical energy of hydrogen.
The energy efficiency of water electrolysis varies widely with the numbers cited below on the optimistic side. Some report 50–80%[7].[8] These values refer only to the efficiency of converting electrical energy into hydrogen's chemical energy. The energy lost in generating the electricity is not included. For instance, when considering a power plant that converts the heat of nuclear reactions into hydrogen via electrolysis, the total efficiency may be closer to 30–45%.[9]

Lampasas :
I agree with you, I am sorry but I do not have PM privileges and cannot respond to your message.
The problem with using hydrogen is it has to be produced it is not found in its pure form.
(Production of hydrogen)
steam on heated carbon,
decomposition of certain hydrocarbons with heat,
reaction of sodium or potassium hydroxide on aluminum
electrolysis of water, or
displacement from acids by certain metals.
feinanddandy, Royalties have NOT been paid, you need to make a product to get a royalty. I think you are referring to a license agreement.
Salaries are being deferred for Harry!
This is not true for all salaries and you fail to address all the expenses in the last two years that can not be deferred. Let KatmasterM answer the question.

KatmasterM, If you have been reading my posts and have an open mind, I think you should be careful if you believe someone like Piecemaker who is physically located at the Cyclone company site, yet states he is not employed by the company and makes statements that infer that all my questions and concerns have been satisfactorily addressed.
You call this engine a green engine. Cyclone has stated that it produces C02 when burning propane. I am sure it produces C02 when burning any kind of fossil fuel. Burning fuel for power is not green power; green power is from wind, tide changes, water falls and geo-thermal. Burning any fuel leaves a carbon footprint. Harry states that the engine can run on multi-fuels but he doesn't tell you the extent of the modifications needed when you change fuels.
Cyclone has stated that the engine is about as efficient as a diesel engine, therefore; it is not extra efficient.
The engine is composed of many untested, in the real world, parts. What will happen when it is exposed to an environment of changing temperatures, vibrations and long periods of running in dirty conditions?
Raytheon tested the engine. I am sure they also test many other engines. They didn't come out with a raving report or any report of their findings on the Cyclone. The information we are getting is coming from Cyclone and the stock is not showing any insider buying as a result of the Raytheon testing.
Bottom line, the engine is not green, it is not very efficient and may not be reliable and above all, at this time, has not been shown powering anything.
Many of the issues are the same with the WHE, reliability, not shown running, etc.
KatmasterM, I have a question for you. Where has the money come from in the last two years to pay for salaries, material and equipment, trade show costs, PR's and patent lawyer fees as well as other bills? They have not completed one product that is marketable. They collect no royalties.
This is my humble opinion and I welcome yours whether it is positive or negative.
Thank you. Arnold
Piecemaker, I knew you would spin the answer to my question, because there are no products powered by a Cyclone engine. The only products are non functional mock-ups. Show me proof that I am wrong. No more lame excuses, like it is not ready for the public, or the reverse engineering argument, or they don't have time.
Spin these facts.
No independent test data.
No running products.
Plenty of PR's.
Piecemaker, don't forget the next time you see Frankie ask her how the Private Placement sales are going, because the people who visit Cyclone are not impressed enough to buy the stock on the market.
Piecemaker you say,"Frankie just showed me three four inch binders of NDAs filled out by people who have toured the shop, seen the engines and met with Harry. They simply must do whatever they can to protect the uniquity of this technology." If that is true, by the way the stock is acting, the visitors were not impressed with the company, unless they purchased the private placement shares at a 40% to 50 % discount. Next time you see Frankie ask her how the Private Placement sales are going.
Using the reverse engineering argument for not showing a video of a lawnmower powered by a Cyclone engine cutting grass or a boat powered with a cyclone engine, is just a lame excuse.
Piecemaker now that you are right there at Cyclone, why can't you tell us what single device being run by a Cyclone (complete stand alone) engine you saw.
Put some spin on this request.
Take a video of any complete running product.
Piecemaker why don't you tell the posters on this board that you don't see a single device being run by a Cyclone (complete stand alone) engine. That you don't see a WHE running (running on waste heat). That everything you see is R&D. Cyclone can find time to make mock-ups but can't find the time to make something showing it is powered by a Cyclone engine.
Lampasas
"think I saw PR where a small Cyclone was run haed to head with a small lawnmower engine for emissions testing - results looked good as comparison but is this the only demonstrated engine system in the fleet?"
Cyclone does not yet have a running lawnmower to show the public . The test was made comparing a Cyclone engine running on propane and an equivalent 3HP engine running on gasoline. The Cyclone engine polluted less. They never compared the two engines running on the same fuel.
PRESS RELEASE
Cyclone Power Technologies Tests Emissions of its Green Engine;
Expects to Exceed 2011 EPA Standards at No Added Cost
POMPANO BEACH, FL, Sept. 10, 2008 – Cyclone Power Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets: CYPW) announced today the results of greenhouse gas emissions testing conducted on the award-winning Cyclone Engine.
The tests were performed four times on the fuel combustion system of the company’s 3HP propane-fueled engine, and then on a 2007 3HP gas-powered lawn mower engine. Compared to the standard lawn mower, the Cyclone Engine produced the following test results:
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions were 21 percent lower;
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions were 63 percent lower; and
- Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) emissions were 99 percent lower, with readings from the Cyclone at statistical zero.
“We are pleased with these emission test results, but not at all surprised,” said Cyclone CEO Harry Schoell. “We have always known that the Cyclone Engine runs substantially cleaner than the dirty and wasteful spark-ignited gas engines used to power most lawn and garden equipment today. For instance, our engine runs at atmospheric pressures, and as a result, produces no NOX emissions.”
The company’s tests coincide with the Sept. 4 announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency of long-awaited regulations requiring a 35 percent reduction in emissions from new lawn and garden equipment beginning by 2011. The EPA estimates this new rule will reduce annual emissions of hydrocarbons by 600,000 tons, NOX emissions by 130,000 tons, and CO emissions by 1.5 million tons. Implementing the required changes, however, will cost about $236 million a year, according to EPA estimates. These costs are expected to be passed on to consumers in the form of more expensive lawnmowers, most likely requiring catalytic converters. According to the California Air Resources Board, consumers can expect to pay about 18 percent higher for walk-behind models when these regulations take effect.
Not so with the clean, green Cyclone Engine.
“We expect the Cyclone will have no problem meeting and beating EPA greenhouse gas standards without additional costs to the consumer,” Schoell said. “Our engine requires no catalytic converter, and is generally much simpler to manufacture than a comparable internal combustion engine.”
In addition to not requiring a catalytic converter, the Cyclone Engine does not use any motor oil – it is water lubricated – thus saving consumers additional money and leading to less waste, leakage and spillage of petroleum products.
Results from the emissions tests were as follows (averaged over four readings):
Emitted Gas
Gas Lawn Mower
Cyclone Engine
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
1.28
.48
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
3.45
2.73
Nitrogen Oxide (NOX)
0019
0000
CO gas concentration is measured in hundredths of a volume percent.
CO2 gas concentration is measured in tenths of a volume percent.
NOX gas concentration is measured in parts per million.
For the tests, the company used a Bridge Model 9005-03 Gas Analyzer, which uses NDIR technology to measure CO and CO2, and electro-chemical sensors to measure NOX. These are the only technologies certified for use on domestic and international emissions test programs such as California BAR-97 and OIML International.

Upon a change-in-control, the Company's CEO and CFO would receive, (assuming the change-in-control occurred on December 31, 2008):
(i) Two times his base salary ($780,000) and ($360,000), respectively,
(ii) Accrued vacation pay at the time of termination (maximum amount of $15,000 each), and
(iii) Cobra or equivalent of other replacement medical and dental insurance for a period of 12 months, which has an approximate value of $7,200 each.

I have noticed that when a stock goes down. A logical reason can always be found, whether or not it is the true reason can never be proven. The fact remains the stock went down and that is an undeniable true fact.
At piecemakers request I will repeat some of the reasons I think the stock went down.
Lack of credibility--"Things have not changed..."
1. The One Billion authorized shares are under lock and key, when the quarterly report shows that they are being issued in private placements.
2. They show mock-ups of products without clearly stating that there is not an equivalent running model to date.
3. Stating moden fuel is cheap in a press release and than telling grajekk that the fuel is expensive.

5. Stating they are just going to be an R & D company and then coming out with a press release stating they are going to manufacture and sell a product.
snowcloud: If you have been reading my posts, you will find all the reasons for this stock going down. Things have not changed, even with the two new Press Releases.
The specific reason the stock went down is because there are more sellers than buyers. That is the basic technical and fundamental analysis on which I base my statement.
snowcloud: The answer to your question is the same reason the stock went down 41% in the last 8 trading days.
ddabetsmallwinbig: In the last 8 trading days this stock went from $.46 to $.27 that is a loss of $.19 if this trend continues in 8 more trading days the stock will be trading for $.08.

Piecemaker, I'm sorry if my post was confusing and that I forgot to put the quotation marks on both statements. I figured everyone would realize that it was from grajekk's post #14530 as those were my first words and I showed a link to the second statement.
The point everyone missed is that this is just another of the conflicting statements issued by Cyclone; for instance the ones that are listed below:
1. The One Billion authorized shares are under lock and key, when the quarterly report shows that they are being issued in private placements.
2. They show mock-ups of products without clearly stating that there is not an equivalent running model to date.
3. Stating moden fuel is cheap in a press release and than telling grajekk that the fuel is expensive.

grajekk, post#14530

Looks like I missed a selling opportunity to make a decent profit on my shares. Hopefully another one will come along soon.
This new Press Release means that Cyclone is no longer a Research and Developement company as they have stated. It also means that there will be more dilution in order to obtain financing to set up the manufacturing facility. More of the 1 billion authorized shares will have to be used. The authorized shares are no longer under lock and key. IMHO
From PR: "the Cyclone division will market and manufacture WHE systems "

1. What is it made from?
2. Who makes it?
3. What does it cost?
4. When burned, Moden Fuel produces pure water and carbon dioxide.
Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas as it transmits visible light but absorbs strongly in the infrared and near-infrared.
No Cee-it, Carbon dioxide is used by plants during photosynthesis to make sugars. Plants do not make carbon dioxide, unless you burn them of course.
Due to the health risks associated with carbon dioxide exposure, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration says that average exposure for healthy adults during an eight-hour work day should not exceed 5,000 ppm (0.5%). The maximum safe level for infants, children, the elderly and individuals with cardio-pulmonary health issues is significantly less. For short-term (under ten minutes) exposure, the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) limit is 30,000 ppm (3%). NIOSH also states that carbon dioxide concentrations exceeding 4% are immediately dangerous to life and health
