This is exactly what I have been trying to say.
I have mentioned before that this will all eventually happen. And plan B is better than plan A, as Rich has stated.
I would ask for some more info on these topics from bigbizz, but we all know speculation is not a good thing anymore.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Why do we need Rich?
Well, I guess we don't except for the fact that he created this company by himself and deserves a little more respect than that. I agree that his day-to-day involvement is not part of the critical path to getting SecureView to market anymore, but there are other products under development that he will GREATLY contribute to. And, who knows how all these products work better than Rich.
I find it amazing how fast the "back-stabbers" come out and try to throw Rich out to sea.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I believe the 4Q numbers are to be out by the end of March.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I agree, nice to see things calm!!
All the BS created by hype from the net has caused your listed "problems". The PR's from last year were extremely honest and candid trying to keep everybody informed on SEVU's progress and forecast for the next 6 months. Thankfully the delays happened, or we would have S**T for a product right now because of problems with suppliers.
Just because the time-table has been delayed does not mean the forecasts in last year's PR's will not happen at all. As most people know in manufacturing, and some have commented on this already, the process to market is often a lengthy process with lotsa bugs. Rich was trying to get SecureView to market under ideal conditions, which didn't happen, and made GOOD decisions in delaying the full scale release to market. Do we really need BAD parts shipping in the SecureView? Would that have been better? I think NOT.
We have to play the waiting game, so please go bother some other stock along with the bashers and shorters.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
FrankNG, I hate to even respond and give you more reason to post lots of clutter, but here goes.
I am not the chairperson or director, and I am sure many others feel this way too, posts with strictly data like DNS servers is a WASTE OF MY TIME without some discussions. We are here for discussion, not listing setup parameters from a website. FG's point was to include discussion, not naked facts that don't immediately relate to SEVU. I found some of the info interesting, like the connection between the two, but it left me asking, "and what does FrankNG think and why did this person post this"
I see the posts restored, or at least some of them. We all want to hear RELEVANT discussion. I hate to see anybody, positive or negative leave, but some posters clutter the board with way too many messages.
BTW, you can still use all the free speech you want on SI or RB!!! But if you have some new information and good discussion, please post on IHUB.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Timing of the Springs purchase was good, but the shared marketing isn't, if that is one of the reasons.
You or somebody had mentioned the shareholder's equity before, I had forgotten that. I believe from previous info that there are other reasons for it from a personal side also.
The Springs are yet another "interesting" chapter in the SEVU soap opera!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
FG, isn't this a violation of rules...
Reposting another post is SPAM isn't it, wassup with this!!
Ah, just kidding....I like the new version and maybe the old should be deleted if you preface this better to MadHat. I had a hard time reading the post and it is VERY good, thanks MH.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
On the Springs issue.
I recall a conversation with Rich about this, but it is kinda foggy right now, but here goes and I will try to follow up on this later too.
The Springs are NOT totally unrelated to SEVU. A good joint marketing venture could come from this by using the marine cameras in the Springs. I believe the investment is good, may just be bad timing, but this was planned back in April before A@P.
I believe SEVU and Rich have showed diversification in the business world and this is one example. This has the same relation as underwater cameras does to "wireless" security cameras.
I haven't heard anything besides some posts here and the "promised" info from Rich, which we haven't seen yet. I plan on researching this issue more and get back to you.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
SH...UP UP and UP, gotta love it.
I am making another "show of good faith", this price is still a steal in my opinion. I can't help but buy, buy and buy!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
gotinearly, thanks...not sure I deserve that much credit.
I may have sounded too harsh in my reply to tonyeight, but I have felt that some of the other posts from this person were walking a fine line and all of that spilled out in my post.
I definitely didn't appreciate the manner in which print started posting here, but the posts seem to be getting better or just removed before I see them.
Let's hope this next week the stock gets back to reality...glad it is waiting for me to buy more and more and more!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
SH, I agree with you also.
I don't mean to be confusing but I agree with both sides on this one. The tone sounded like those of us "pro-sevu" people that have been here longer were somehow mightier than print. I don't like the bashers, but also do not like to squash any negative or positive comments.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Tonyeight, I don't agree that print can't play a key role here.
This board is not a happy, always positive party for the longs. We must take the good with the bad and I for one like to hear both sides of the story.
Although each and every one of us gets OT sometimes and annoys the other readers. Let us not try to squash any negative comments that people may have.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
erue, I agree that Rich is entitled to some of this.
Most of us on these boards do not realize who started all of this. Obviously he is being compensated by 6.5 million shares, but we ALL would have nothing without him.
This all started as a private company/endeavor and we are now seeing the steps that MUST be taken to develop into a profitable public company. I still do not think we are seeing any "special" changes in the company that wouldn't have happened at some future date. I am sure Rich never intended to run this entire company by himself or keep all the patents privately held.
The transition from private to public company takes time. Unfortunately over-zealous PR's have changed the time-table for such things.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
FG, I would be disappointed and unhappy with those numbers.
I believe that we are under-estimating the demand and production capabilities of SEVU. 200,000 SecureView systems for this year seems very reasonable to me.
We are getting off to a slow start this year, so they won't be as projected unless some amazing recovery things are done by the new management team.
We are all speculating on this and maybe I am too optimistic.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
printmail, you hit the nail on the head.
I want to give you a little input of my experience with the SecureView camera. The camera is great and very impressive once you get to play with one. It sees GREAT in the dark. I did not get to play with the software they have, just the camera while I was down there early last summer. I do not own a system yet, but hope to play with one some more when I am down there in April again this year
Hopefully some people that witnessed it at the Open House can also comment. I know these are just "opinions" of some longs here, but take it for what it is worth or what you paid for it (nothing)!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Yes the views may be gone from the website, but just because the links aren't there doesn't mean the files are gone. I don't remember the exact link to any of them or I would try to get to them. Maybe somebody else has a specific link to a View or it may be in their history list in Internet Explorer.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crookk, please go back and read the old PR's and Views from the Bridge. The information on withdrawal and re-listing possiblity is in there. We have discussed this before on IHUB also. After you read that info, I am sure you will see an apology in order to bulldop01Toror.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
FanClubBoy...Still sinkin & stinkin.
I love the low price, I can't buy enough shares, bought more this morning!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Good work Daytrader2001...EOM
Crook...I hate this, but please give it a rest!!!!
You have made some good contributions, but tonight has been a complete waste of one hour of my life reading 50 posts on this board.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I emailed Rich...
Francois+Goelo is exactly right, he is relieved. I am sure he would not leave "his" company in the wrong hands. We are still in the waiting game, but things are moving forward.
On the SEC thing, I don't think Rich would have flat-out lied when replying in the last view from the bridge that he hadn't been contacted. If he had been contacted and couldn't/wouldn't tell us, he just would have skipped over it and made "no comment". I read the subpoena, by the way the link on IHUB works, and believe that SEVU is not the one in trouble here, yet.
I am sad to see Rich go, but he isn't totally gone either. Let us not forget that without Rich we wouldn't be here at all, which is both good and bad!!!
This change in management in not an overnight thing. This major of a change would have had to been planned months in advance. I firmly believe from talking with Rich that he was not going to be CEO of Seaview for the next twenty years. I think he wanted the job for a few more years, but he quickly realized he was in over his head when wearing all the 'hats' himself.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
I read the reply by Rich on the Arch Cook interview. I believe Rich before I believe A@P or Arch, but as everybody says here, we need PROOF. The product rollout delay has let all these minor and circumstancial pieces of evidence become blown out of proportion.
Almost all of these problems would be solved (could have been avoided actually) when the company ships product.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
And you put a lot of faith in the Arch Cook interview? I for one did not, but haven't heard a lot against the interview beside the view from the bridge. The bridge is not definitive either.
All this stuff makes great amounts of posts and discussions on message boards, but has nothing to do with my investing or REAL discussions about the company.
I guess while we are waiting for product rollout, we have to talk about something, well I better stop rambling.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
erue...I have heard nothing on the class action lawsuit against A@P.
I gave SEVU my email address and filled out the paperwork and faxed it back to them. The information did not commit me to be included in the lawsuit or be excluded. I have not heard one single solitary thing since then, but the info was to be forwarded to a lawyer and then we are to be contacted by him, not SEVU.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crook... Oberman speaks for many of us.
It may not contribute to this board, but I will voice my opinion with at least a dozen others that the "bashers" have ruined all the message boards.
I can't remember the name of the person that is checking on the legalities of the link between A@P, bashers and MM, but I hope he comes up with something.
And, yes I know I am rambling and I am saying it should stop, so save the bandwidth on such a comment.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Thanks FrankNG....I knew somebody would come up with a detailed listing of the 144/restricted stock issue.
Great stuff you "basher" you!!!! NOT...HAHA
JMHO, TAfirehawk
saltonpepper...true, good point.
I don't look at the 144's because they don't really sell much from there, but she may very well do that. I am sure she isn't happy with the whole situation, so they may dump out there. Having more available isn't a bad thing in the long run, may hurt the price for a day or two.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
And the point of Jen selling her shares is....?
I know they are SEVU shares, but what other relevance does this have on this message board?
I filed for a 144 for my shares also, so will my form 144 be appearing here soon and why?
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Most of the 144 filings our very simple.
First, people have to keep the 144 current IF they want to sell their restricted shares.
Second, people must file a 144 and other paperwork to remove the restriction on their shares. I just did that today and filed a 144 that should be processed soon, but I am long and not selling in the near future.
A lot of the initial shares were restricted for one year. Now most of them have passed that timeframe and need to be filed under a 144 to BE ABLE to sell. I think if you look at the trades, these people aren't really selling much of anything.
I am new to this game, but this is what I understand from my broker and posters here.

Stages of the Deadly Art of Stock Manipulation
Taken from the message board in Abrahams (A@P) other failure. From a Poster DrDoug.....
The Short & Distort Scheme
Stage I: Monitoring: In stage I of a Short & Distort scheme, Short groups Monitor spikes in volumes on stocks with no rumors.
Stage 2: Flagging: Shorts Flag stocks that run up then sits back and wait patiently for their time.
Stage 3: Preparation: The Shorters research the company and develop their Distortion of the rumors to be used later.
Stage 4: Actual Shorting: The shorts step in, selling on every possible up tick. This is the Reverse of front loading. Preparations are made to attack the guy who had earlier written positively about the company and take out, discredit, any new long-term champions or messengers.
Stage 5: Distortion Campaign: The shorts step in and increase selling on every possible up tick. Just as with the pump, newsletters, e-mail, PR firms against P & D, etc. are simulated. Expertise in the field is
recruited for credibility.
Any possible twist using POS (Purposely Omitted Syntax) and PAS (Purposely Added Syntax) is conveniently used on every possible angle. If the POS/PAS is discovered then attack the messenger.
Above all control the message boards.
The group clutters the message boards so no positive information can be readily found. Justification is the Value of the Company in the market. Projections of $0.00 worth and loss projections of 100%.
Note: The market manipulator will do everything in his/her power to keep buyers OUT OF THE STOCK. Cut your losses is touted to stimulate fear. You bought higher but now they need you to sell lower.
Stage 6: Pressure: The shorts have taken it too far. The volume is increasing and the price is not effectively dropping. A stalemate occurs. Personal attacks increase. Threats of legal action, SEC involvement, and yes even death threats increase.
Increased secret IDs are employed to increase the cluttering, personal attacks and the distortion. So begins a string of lies that run for as long as one's stomach can take it. Desperately playing on the "you have been had" scenario. Any new news will be hit hard by
Shorters to kill any interest.
Note: Watch the volume not the share price. A market manipulator will have various brokers buying and selling the stock to give the APPEARANCE of increasing volume but the price goes down. Thus stimulating the story the company is selling or an off shore Reg S or
other convenient scenario. Watch for large blocks that show up but have an MM special code, crossovers, etc.
Stage 7: The Cover: Without warning, the buying pressure is too much and the short begins to cover. Short covering combined with new investors buying into the stock causes the stock to go up. Often the whole thing starts again. Just a vicious cycle sometimes.
Comment: While all questionable MM activities may not be able to be stopped, widespread knowledge of their modus operandi may discourage some of their more blatant
behavior. They know the investing public is aware of what they are doing and looking over their shoulder, while they fight to reform a system corrupt enough to permit such widespread MMM in the first place.
Brettin....and today's "well crafted bear raid" is legal?
This just seems to be illegal activity to me, I have very little knowledge of the inner workings of the stock market.
With the seriousness of A@P allegations, I find it hard to believe that the SEC isn't investigating. As far as I have heard, they aren't investigating SEVU, so somebody should be after A@P. The truth has to come out sooner or later.
I also listened to the Arch interview. After turning my speakers up, I heard everything and nothing. What a waste of bandwidth, where are the facts, "where is the beef?" It was obvious to me that Arch wasn't privvy to any information he was talking about, except his job, which sounded normal for a salesman.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Thanks dk76
I know SEVU doesn't compare to Microsoft, but the point is well made.
As many have stated before, this company will live and die by products, not hair cuts and khaki pants.
Today's culture seems to be out of reach for some "older" posters here, suits and trim hair cuts are NOT a requirement in every situation. And don't think that Rich doeesn't know the difference for when the "professional" look is required, this is not the first company he has been involved in.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
onlythefacts, please check your "great information sources" and find out how much money Rich had before SEVU. His income from SEVU is only one of many that may comprise his income. Did you ever think that he may have been independently wealthy before SEVU came along? Do you think he may be involved with other businesses before SEVU came along?
Your questions are good, I hope the answers come out soon to these less than relevant issues.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
PS. So what if he is dating a girl that is younger than one of his children!!! Who cares, this isn't the fifties!!
AMEN, FanClubBoy. Who cares what Rich wears, looks like or has at his side in his personal life?
It is amazing how people must talk trash, on RB particularly, when they can't find fault in anything else.
I wish there was some legal action that could be taken against people making ludicrous and false statements to artificially affect the stock price to make themselves money.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crookk (GSP) can I ask why you are on this message board?
I can only assume that you do not have any stock or interest in SEVU from your recent opinions. At least if I felt this way about a company, I would not invest one single, solitary dime in the company.
To each his own.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Rich stated that he couldn't tell us anymore information.
I am sure that the police do not want anything released yet, so they probably know, just can't say yet.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crookk (GSP), I agree that every person needs to get as much of the facts as possible. Hopefully the open house will reveal the true nature of the SEVU business. I consider myself fortunate to have already been at the SEVU office and talked with Rich himself. There are a number of things I still question and I have seen most of this stuff working in their office, so I can imagine what it must seem like just READING about it.
The open house can not happen soon enough!!! It is a shame that the PR's have led to the lack of credibility in any statements from the company. Each investor needs to be able to touch and see the company, which is very difficult outside the open house.
The scenario of the 'break-in hoax' is plausible, but in my opinion from what I have seen with my own two eyes, it is highly unlikely that it is a hoax. I have not seen anything related to the break-ins, but basing this opinion on general previous knowledge. But I have been wrong before and nothing is every 100% verifiable and true.
I forget the exact saying, but something like..."Don't believe anything you read and only half of what you see."
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Bill, I don't remember exactly, but I believe that is was just a server, not a "mainframe".
I visited the SEVU office last July and hard to remember exactly, but you are right, they don't need a full fledged mainframe.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crookk (GSP) If the break-in was a hoax, why would they involve the cops, kinda silly to involve the cops if it is a hoax.
There is a record of the first break-in at the police.
Not sure where you are going with this, but IMHO this is real serious s**t.
Only time will tell, but hey, at least we have something to talk about!!!
JMHO, TAfirehawk
Crookk (GSP), I am not sure if you are joking or not.
But, IMO, just the suggestion that it is an inside job is completely WRONG. There is a "mathematical" possibilty, just like I may get struck by lightning writing this.
Is there ANYTHING that some people won't question????????
I sure hope you were joking, but each person is entitled to voice their opinion here.
JMHO, TAfirehawk
