Indeed. Hopefully, a new/learned beginning, if I can be somewhat optimistic...
36, reminds me of my NY days, sans the pines. Do you have to pick up pine needles? (Ouch!)
Election Day
In this, the 17,000 post on this board, call the day as you see it...
Jeepers. Glad you're ok now. Hope you got the number of that 'bus'.
You ok Ron?
The different Kona varieties sell well here.
I had a customer come in the liquor store yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff. I asked if he was having a party. He said he was going to drink as much as he could because he believed the world was coming to an end after Tuesday.
I even had to pick up two leaves. (Uh oh.)
I'm still having trouble.
I think you're right. :-/
(It is still unusually hot here.)
No. I have tested it a few times. Very long to post a message here. If you try to cancel or review, you end up posting twice. Glitch somewhere.
(Even with this message now.)
Anybody else having trouble here? Taking forever for a message to post, then it posts twice. :-/
Hey, those palm fronds can be quite big & heavy, lol. (Sorry, going more for the humor, as usual, than anything else. It sure sounds funny when I say it to myself.)
I had to pick up a palm frond yesterday, lol.
We sell Longboard (Kona) and Presidente beer at my store. ;)
Let's all go have a beer (or three) there.
Indubitably.
Trade in your golf club (and rake) for your snow shovel. Tie pillows around you just in case you fall down. (Or, if you have a chimney, tie yourself to it when you're up on the roof.)
Indeed.
Bad for everyone.
Much M & A activity across the markets right now.
Season goes from June 1 - November 30, but watching weather patterns, I'd say it's over now. Usually very nice weather from now until December.
You probably (as usual) have more to be careful of starting soon...
Be well and safe in MN.
AMTD has dropped, and probably tread negatively in the short-term as the deal with Scottrade works its way through the company. Scottrade was a private company. Of course, the remnants of Scottrade will now be public within AMTD. The clearing will be through TD Ameritrade now.
Hard to say why people were sick. Sometimes storms bring stuff with them, or maybe just the time of year. Enjoy your blizzards and rooftop activities. Happy I still have a roof.
Yes, thank you. Was much more work getting back to normal because of (what turned out to be) unnecessary preparation for the storm. Did much of the work with just a few to help because many fell sick. (Luckily, I think, I still don't get sick. Have not taken a sick day or day off in the 4.5 years at Publix.)
Eighty degrees during the day and 75 at night. Nice time of year for weather now.
Any hurricanes coming your way?
Indeed. Spent 9.5 hours today at the store and the liquor store getting everything back up to speed. Lots of deliveries...
Thanks Ron. The sound of the wind is always good for keeping one awake (all night). It's like a train ride going over your roof, only you're not on it.
Yes, still here, and yes, on the northern end of Melbourne in Viera. Lots of trees & debris blown around, but no real damage around here (that I've seen or heard so far). Flickering power, but more work to prepare and un-prepare (sic) than to actually fix.
One more for the record books...carry on...
Thanks Ron,
We are riding it out well, in spite of the dire predictions. We are two against Matthew. The next few hours will tell the tale.
Hey Buddy,
Wine, whiskey, water, women...ok, in lieu of women, we stocked up on rum and food. My neighbor's son & I are the only ones that did not evacuate. We are protecting our homes together. So far, our decision has been a good one. Riding out some wind & rain, but the roof is still intact. We hope to see it through Friday...sounds like a locomotive passing over our homes.
(I have been through this before in 2004, 2005, in West Palm Beach.)
Thank you for your thoughts.

Is it understood then that the "live" Thursday night episodes are recorded live? (When did the show actually end?)
Indeed. :-/
Whoa.
Yes, it would be better if it was a real surprise.
Not sure if I want anybody to win at this point. The strongest competitors are not very likable. Even James has curbed his practical jokes. Did not like Paul in the beginning (I left a _ space when first describing him on here), then I warmed up to him, and now he's an overdone one-trick pony (duck, or something). Corey is not mute, but maybe too little too late. (E)Victor, probably the strongest in comps., I just don't like...
Unlikely, but one of the ladies should probably win, e.g., Natalie or Nicole.
If someone else returns, then we'll see.
I don't know if I am alone on this...but,
I never liked Double Eviction Night. The show seems rushed, things are cut out (video messages for the evicted ones, choosing players for the veto, strategies, game play, et. al.), and I never agree with the second eviction (although this was the first time it came close).
They bill it as a week's worth of Big Bro. in one night, but I look at it like we missed out on a week's worth of stuff...
My opinion for this week, thank you. ;)
I'll go along with that...at least, keep youth-oriented.
Thank you. You are over 21, right?
I agree.
You too?
Well, you can just say, "I meant to do that."
Btw, I think you will appreciate this...I started training today to work in the Publix Liquor Store.
Free samples for everybody, lol!
