I got a different impression cowboy. The deal was already done with some things to work out, and that's why Barry said within 90 days Lionsgate would be on the site. Then, they ran into problems with this other major, and since putting up Lionsgate content was/is dependent on another major studio being on the site, Barry couldn't put the Lionsgate up.
They've now had a few months to work everything out with the other major, and this is why Barry was able to say at the SHM that Lionsgate and the other major will be on the site at either new site launch time or very soon after. I actually heard that it would be at launch time, but since others heard soon after, I could have had selective hearing, but nonetheless I feel very confident that Lionsgate and the other major to be announced will be streaming from our new site absolute latest by Halloween.
With the thick black shoes?
At the meeting they said that they almost made it last Friday, but figured it would take another week or two, or at the very least, 'weeks not months' which I take to mean 3 weeks. So, I think that tomorrow is 'possible', but not likely. Next week or the week after is definite in my mind.
Yeah, but tomorrow was still a possibility in their minds, and who knows, maybe with not meeting self imposed deadlines before, they just might underpromise and overdeliver.
It 'could' be tomorrow, but my gut tells me more like next Friday. Hoping my gut is wrong.
I agree totally! Now, let's get that .06 painted today!
They showed a trailer. It wasn't a slideshow. It was beyond awesome too. It was like being at the movie theatre, complete with big sound. It brought chills to most in attendance, including Bev, who said she get's excited all over again every time she sees a movie 'streaming from the net' from our site on a big screen!
I agree. :)
The timeline that seemed most probable for announcing the major announcement they have is interesting in that it should come out near the launch of rltr's website and the new major content. These announcements will hopefully piggyback on each other for a double whammy.
Regardless of the share price, (as we know 100 shares can move this over 100% as ridiculous as that is) very interesting volume today. For every seller there's a buyer, and someone just picked up a whole lot more today.
You're giving Rig a run for his money with this food shot. :)
If that's what you are expecting, then that's what you will most likely get. I'm expecting to see them come through and launch the site within a couple weeks. I believe that's what I'll get.
If I'm at my office, I get the same error. If I'm at home, (or anywhere else I've tried) I can watch movies just fine. I am presently working with Ben and others to get this resolved and figure out what is different at work. It could be some type of firewall or other thing that's not allowing something to work.
Send a support ticket in and Ben should get back to you within 24 hours and explain what the problem is and that you talked to me and it was the same problem I've been having.
Are you trying to watch from a different location than you have in the past?
I stand by what I just said. Barry told us at the SHM that Lionsgate told them that a condition of putting their movies on the site was that there was another major with their movies on the site. Barry said that we had another major, and almost at the point of being able to tell the world and put both on the site, a glitch got in the way and it had to be postponed. It's now happening, as this is the major they spoke of at the meeting. He told everyone that he made a mistake by mentioning in the cc that the lionsgate material would be up inside of 90 days. He didn't see the glitch coming. I'm so glad now that the glitch did happen, because launching 2 majors with the new site vs. the old, will make a big difference imo.
If the stock goes higher than what your friend bought it at and he sells for a profit, I guess he'll feel a little stupid for thinking they are a scam. Like the other poster said, he should wait till he sells before he counts his money.
It's been frustrating for all of us. Let's see what happens and take responsibility. If your friend is feeling so bad as to call it a scam, then he probably spent more money than he was comfortable with. Your recommendation might have swayed him, and I understand your anger and concern if that's the case. It sucks to recommend a stock and have it tank from the price it was bought at.
With all due respect Asus, I believe the 'millionaire' investors you speak of didn't have a long enough timeline if they feel screwed. I learned long ago, (and I'm sure you know too) that nobody 'does' anything to anyone else. They could have not 'bought' the stock in the first place. Of all the management I've seen over the years, this management has been as upfront and accomodating as they can be. They admitted to making errors along the way. Whether this stock goes to 10 dollars or to a 1/10th of a penny, there is no management that ever screwed anyone here.
I was told by management at the rltr shm that ICTN has a MAJOR announcement that will be out in a press release very very soon. I obviously was told no more than that. I'm quite excited to see what it is. MWM, I hope you are still long and at least partially strong.
Understood Asus. I respect your opinion and all your great D&D and Thank you for your trip out to the company recently. I will personally visit the office again in 3 weeks if the site isn't launched and find out what's going on. I have a very strong feeling it will be, but again, I respect everyone's opinion as valid and understandable.
I didn't see anyone sign up, so I don't know. Since they considered launching last Friday, and they wouldn't have launched without the ability to sign up, I think it's a safe assumption that someone can sign up and it's built and working. I personally have no problem giving them the benefit of the doubt for 3 weeks, and only then if it isn't launched wanting answers.
I remember seeing the sign up page, the page for movies, the page for t.v. and I think sort of an 'about' page. It was really thought out well from the perspective of how once someone's eyeballs are on the site, how do you get them to understand quickly why they should stay there and not click off, and then why they should download the player and give it a whirl. Then, why they should be a subscriber. Ro definitely understands conversion.
I really think they don't have much to do since they really did seriously consider launching last Friday. I am saying 2 to 3 weeks till it launches, but in my gut from what I heard, I think it could be this coming Friday or Monday.
I want to back up what others have said that this meeting was FAR from a rah, rah session. It was factual information with Barry being very conservative with an underlying tone of excitement and feeling that we really got something. Bev said that everytime she sees the technology on the big screen like we saw at the meeting, she gets excited all over again. She also said that the first time she saw the technology, she made the decision to drop what she was doing and join the company. I think that when the news releases start flowing, they're going to be the ones we've been waiting for. All in my humble yet informed opinion.
Whoever the new major studio is along with Lionsgate, I'm looking forward to our press release getting picked up on their radars and the word getting out to a much larger audience that we are for Reel!
We weren't sold anything. I was there, and I would be HIGHLY surprised if we don't see the new website in 2 or 3 weeks. New content at website launch or latest in 3 or 4 weeks. Last Friday was a serious consideration for launching the new site. Ro and his team have worked much too hard for him to be okay with a timeframe of more than 3 weeks.
No! They were NOT there. LOL :) I definitely could not have mixed up what I saw if 'they' were there. I might be worried that I had selective hearing wanting only to possibly hear good things, but my vision would not have failed me if they were there.
Yes! I don't think I could have mixed up what they were saying. They were rather clear about it. Their lawyers were sitting right in the room, so they had to be very careful but they definitely said they had another major signed. If anyone who was in attendance thinks they heard otherwise, please speak up, but this is what I heard.
I left the shareholder meeting about 2 hours ago before it ended. (For all I know it's still going.) I had to get to some festivities for my brothers wedding. I just got to his computer. The new site is AWESOME, both from a visual standpoint, and the way it will work. It was very well thought out by Ro. Ro was very excited as he showed it to us. What was very interesting to me was that when they blew a movie up to 20 ft. in size on the massive screen they had there, the quality was even better than I've ever seen on my computer screen. I had always wanted to see if the quality was as good blown up to that size, and it was and then some! They obviously couldn't say a lot because of rules, (the lawyers were right in the room) but they did say that the new site will launch in 'weeks', not months. They went on to say that they were thinking about next Friday, but probably not for a couple weeks. Whatever it is, we don't have much longer at all! (Beta will be GONE!!!) They also said it would be launching with major studio content, but couldn't tell us who that was until the announcement. Great to meet An OX, pmunch, tomako -(sp?), lscurrier, Rhustang... I have to run, but I will say this before I go... I brought a friend there who is an astute investor and afterwards asked him if he was going to buy any shares. He said absolutely! Gotta run! More later... I feel very good about my investment!
See all who are coming tomorrow at the SHM! :)
Wow! What an upgrade!! I can't imagine anything looking better than that. SWEET!
Well, I'll say it again. Most people end up uttering the words, 'Man, right after I sold it went up'. So, we have to have a lot of sellers to make this come true. Anything can happen, but imho I believe a lot of people are going to be uttering those words.
HOw can the market have something so wrong. 1.75 cents, for a company that is profitable with a share structure to be envied? I really really can't believe this. I hope to God this is a shakeout, and not the reality of pinkyland.
Don't be bummed mstur29. There is some reason you have to miss it that you may never know. Everything happens for a reason in life. Everyone will update you, and know also that you will be missed.
If we end up getting 'Hello my name is' stickers to wear at the SH meeting, how 'bout let's put our real name AND our ihub screen name on the sticker. I'm looking forward to putting some faces with some screen names and meeting some of you great folks I've come to respect on this board. :)
I will not be releasing any anger no matter what, because I have no anger inside. I just want them to execute where they see fit. We don't know what they know. The SH meeting will be an eye opener in my opinion, and I'm looking forward to it!
Yes. Michael mentioned in a reply e-mail to me that they were working on getting some press and analysts to the meeting. I was asking him if a friend who didn't own shares of rltr but did own ictn could attend, and this is why this ended coming up in our conversation.
I was at the Seattle Mariner game yesterday and after the game drove by the REI flagship store. It's right off the freeway (I-5) and about 20 minutes north of Sea-tac airport in the heart of Seattle. It's a great place to hold a SH meeting.
It's nice to see them continuing to ramp up. Definitely a good sign. As I posted before too, Michael said they are working on getting some analysts and press to the meeting.
I doubt a company would want these people there if there wasn't something of substance to share in my opinion.
I agree. I haven't seen anywhere else yet where I can point, click and stream dvd quality to a full size screen. (Including t.v. size) If I'm missing someone and someone else can do it, then that's still fine, because we have Beverly, and we also have more of a headstart than anyone else as I'm sure we haven't seen or been made privy to many of the things that have been in the works. Also, there is room for many players since this space is so very huge.
Not my scene and about 10 - 15 years too late, but I'm sure there's something. :) Good luck!
I know the blog is down, but let's not forget Ro's last post. He was very upbeat. Ro and Bev both have things going on in a positive way in their business lives, and I doubt very much they would be spinning their wheels with Reeltime if in fact that's what they were doing. I think the company learned their lesson not to open their mouths before stuff is done, and that is why we haven't heard anything as of late. I am looking forward to the shareholder meeting and will give my take on it and report along with the other attendees.
Is there news out somewhere? My msn.com stock page has a news icon next to ictn, and I have never seen one appear before without news coming out, albeit sometimes it's hard to find the news.
I hear ya stoopid. I just had to bitch and moan a little bit. I've owned ICTN since 2001 at least. Raging bull I think started a different page for ictn at one point, but if they hadn't, you would have seen my posts in the first 20 posts. (maybe even the first 10) I just want to see my baby go up, not down. I know the price right now is not reflecting where it will be tomorrow, next week, or next month, but it's nonetheless just a little hard to see it down there. Thanks for your post.
2.2 cents. It's hard to see. Okay, it's downright depressing. I don't get it. We are making money, we own a piece of some other great companies, and we just continue to sink. Hopefully our day is coming. I don't see how the street can just continue undervaluing us like this. It's ridiculous. Okay, I'm done being down. Thanks for listening.
