If the stock goes higher than what your friend bought it at and he sells for a profit, I guess he'll feel a little stupid for thinking they are a scam. Like the other poster said, he should wait till he sells before he counts his money.
It's been frustrating for all of us. Let's see what happens and take responsibility. If your friend is feeling so bad as to call it a scam, then he probably spent more money than he was comfortable with. Your recommendation might have swayed him, and I understand your anger and concern if that's the case. It sucks to recommend a stock and have it tank from the price it was bought at.
To make the future better is to live it now. The 'NOW' is a projection of the future.
