It will be hard for anyone just getting a license in Apr to compete. I look for whoever gets a license to sell it to another company. The small players just won't have the money to expand as necessary. I don't see it as a negative. At $1m a license, the state of Florida is just looking to rake in additional cash, that's the bottom line.
Still waiting on those 5's. What's up?
He must have figured out the train is leaving the station so he needed to get onboard.
Pertaining to Maryland. Existing medical cannabis dispensaries would be converted into dual licensees at the same time that legalization takes effect on July 1 if they’ve paid a fee. So TCNNF can sell both recreational and medical by this summer if they've paid the appropriate fee.
Well at least someone is talking about it. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3841872-senate-democrats-look-for-way-forward-on-marijuana-banking-bill/

I see some progress this year. Don't know when, but I think we see something beneficial.
Pretty good pop at the end of the day yesterday. Wonder what today will bring ? Did we already see the low for the year ? Are we gonna see those 5's as some have suggested ?
I'm holding long and looking to buy on the dips. Some here have said we'll see 5's, but so far that isn't happening. There is some movement in congress toward rescheduling, but who knows what congress is going to do. I do think over the longer term we'll see some favorable legislation.
The White House was asked about banking legislation and they punted back to congress. So who knows where it's at with the new House.
Interesting how some states that have legalized are allowing 280e exemptions from State taxes. Now if the feds could get their act together.
from an article in Marijuana Moment.
The legislation seeks to decouple Virginia’s marijuana industry from the federal tax code, as lawmakers in several states like New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania have moved to do. State medical and recreational cannabis businesses would be able to take deductions at the state level that they’re currently barred from doing federally under IRS’s 280E.
FL OMMU week of 27 Jan
113,717,025 mgs THC
1,186,092 mgs Low THC
38,150.838 oz smokeable.
Nice numbers.
As of January 12, the state saw $4,000,732,608 in gross cannabis sales, according to data from the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC). This comes less than a year after Massachusetts hit the $3 billion mark, demonstrating continued growth in the industry.
Glad TCNNF has dispensaries there.
I found this snippet in a newspaper article and thought it was interesting. Rivers said the next steps are opening medical dispensaries across the state, and Trulieve is planning to have 10 facilities opened in Georgia by July 2023. Approved dispensaries in Macon, Marietta and Pooler have been confirmed.
If Florida is an example, then I think being one of two marijuana growers in GA, TCNNF will likely flood GA as quickly as they can.

It's a chart that tells you after it has happened that the stock went up and then down.
The Georgia Cannabis Commission voted tonight to approve the rules. The rules take effect on Feb. 14, Pinkey told Axios in a statement. Then commission officials must inspect and sign off on testing labs and dispensaries.
So it looks like TCNNF will be selling in Georgia very soon. They already have locations picked out and a grow facility in Adel, GA. Onward and upward.

Not sure where you read that. But ITEM 5. OWNERSHIP OF FIVE PERCENT OR LESS OF A CLASS:
If this statement is being filed to report the fact that as of the date hereof the reporting person has ceased to be the beneficial owner of more than five percent of the class of securities, check the following [ ].
As you can see the box was not checked therefore the assumption is they still own over 6% of the stock and this was a standard filing they were required to make since they own over 6%.
I don't see where they sold. The Schedule 13G filed pursuant to paragraph (b)(1) of this section shall be filed within 45 days after the end of the calendar year in which the person became obligated under paragraph (b)(1) of this section to report the person's beneficial ownership as of the last day of the calendar year, Provided, That it shall not be necessary to file a Schedule 13G unless the percentage of the class of equity security specified in paragraph (i) of this section beneficially owned as of the end of the calendar year is more than five percent.
Seems to me they were just filing because they own more than 5%.
Fintel reports that Cowen Financial Products LLC has filed a 13G/A form with the SEC disclosing ownership of 11.15MM shares of Trulieve Cannabis Corporation (TCNNF). This represents 6.98% of the company.
In their previous filing dated January 20, 2022 they reported 7.05MM shares and 5.48% of the company, an increase in shares of 58.21% and an increase in total ownership of 1.50% (calculated as current - previous percent ownership).
Analyst Price Forecast Suggests 149.54% Upside
So it appears to be just opposite of what you are saying.
Well, guess I'll just have to wait. So what is your bottom projection, I don't want to miss it.
Ricky Williams. https://footballfoundation.org/hof_search.aspx?hof=2388
Former NFL running back Ricky Williams is launching his own cannabis lifestyle brand, Highsman – a play on words with the Heisman award he received in 1998, after years advocating for the legalization and normalization of cannabis use.
The athlete-focused, purpose-driven brand features cannabis products, apparel and accessories curated by Williams himself. The initial cannabis lineup features three strains: a sativa, an indica and a hybrid. The company will also launch its own pre-rolls soon.
Been waiting for the under 5's for a long long time. When it comes I'll be in for more.

I'm thinking I saved a substantial sum of money not buying it. So I've offset my loss on TCNNF.
No 6.83 and 50 aren't near the same. I see more pain until something happens. I think they have projected Mar as the earnings release. I don't think there has been any official notification as to the date.
6.83 or 7 it's pretty much the same. You can't have an exact number day to day.
This weeks FL OMMU.

Pretty good week.
I've been investing so long that this situation doesn't keep me awake. I haven't lost anything yet and don't plan to. I've seen a lot of stocks turn around on a dime. The story hasn't changed much as far as I can tell.
Can anyone tell me when we might hit the $5 level ? I'm waiting, but so far we seem stuck in a $7 range. I personally don't think we will have much movement until some legislation and some figures for the 1st quarter.
I think I am more optimistic than you might be. I don't see it being a few years. I'm thinking things move along pretty good this year. I have said before that the current situation is more beneficial for TCNNF than the other smaller companies, especially those just trying to start up. I see a lot of consolidation coming and I believe TCNNF will be one of those taking advantage of the possibilities.
Not sure how some on this board think the smaller companies will survive, since they think TCNNF has problems with debt. It takes money to expand and reasonable debt is the only option to get ahead of the pack. With some of the TCNNF locations now allowing recreational use, I see a bump up in income. I would say 2023 is the transition year, from less profitable to extremely profitable.IMHO.
Well, I'll wait it out. I've got more cash if it hits $5. It does look a little suspicious that the first bill coming out of the GOP congress is one dealing with guns. While I do agree that medical marijuana patients should be able to buy and possess guns, this bill they put out doesn't really address much. Follow the money.
Not tying gun laws to cannabis, but am pointing out that maybe the GOP congress is for allowing medical marijuana users to purchase guns because the gun lobby is pushing congress so they can sell more guns now that sales are down. Rather than address the overall problem of legalization which would do away with all of these little bills addressing very specific issues that have less overall impact on people.
Why else would this be the first bill the new GOP congress would propose ?
Gun companies reckon with declining demand after pandemic surge.
