Company this young MUST fight back publicly and fight for it's reputation.
it's PR 101 for any large corporation or any company that wants to protect itself.
I called IR the other day and they called me back the next day with a voicemail. I haven't had time to call them back yet.
I'll get around to emailing the company directly.
Agree 100%. Communication is the 2nd more important thing after results and it's a shame they aren't taking it more seriously.
Smart research by you to be in that early! A friend who got in around $2.00 turned me on to it. My share cost basis is nowhere near yours but as you know - this is a multi-year hold - at least for me. It's still the early days.
But wow I'd love to be in where you are.
Nice! You just had go and beat me by $0.01 didn't you? It was down at $3.88 for a hot second.
I have a large core position I don't touch and I also play the dips for small gains to keep it interesting and funnel into some other holdings I have.
Very excited about this company. A lot of potential catalysts.
Got 5,500 more shares at $3.93. Waiting to see how day develops - maybe can get more, lower.

Today's Farm Bill Update: House/Senate conferees will hold a public meeting on HR 2, the Farm Bill, at 9:30 am in SR-325. There are 47 House members on the conference committee and 9 (nine) Senators.
Pissed I missed the high 3s this morning! I would have bought another 10,000 shares dammit!
I was out of office in meetings all day. Dammit.
Dif. b/t TLRY and CVSI...
I'm long CVSI but everyone is comparing multiples but it's not apples to apples necessarily.
TLRY's valuation is so high because of their pipeline. Their large facility they are building, their beverage contract, and their other projects.
Taking a loss doesn't matter - look at Tesla and others. Institutions want to see big, long revenue development pipelines.
Frankly, a high growth company shouldn't have a profit - they should be dumping it all back into the product and BD.
While CVSI has great financials, it is not a company prepared to scale immediately whereas TLRY is implementing huge scaling projects.
CVSI needs to show and start implementing huge scaling projects.
I love CVSI's potential but TLRY is just further along when it comes to be a big growth company.
TLRY revenue is surprisingly low though. Investors are putting huge bets on their BD projects.
Farm Bill v. NASDAQ
NASDAQ routinely turns down companies that are in legal gray or conflicted zones.
Hemp is in legal conflict between the ambiguous 2014 Farm bill and the DEA.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vice.com/amp/en_us/article/pawdz9/cbd-products-are-everywhere-but-is-cbd-legal-not-exactly
However 2018 Farm bill May legazloze hemp nationally which woulderase all gray areas.
My thought is: What are chances that NASDAQ turns down CVSI because of this, but then Farm Bill passes in a month.
It’s a very real possibility.
Hope NASDAQ doesn't give CITRON and these lawsuits much weight. But it could certainly kill the listing. We'll just have to sit and wait.
If it kills the listing this thing is going down for a while.
Another lawsuit: Pomerantz LLP is investigating...

NEW YORK, Aug. 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pomerantz LLP is investigating claims on behalf of investors of CV Sciences, Inc. (“CV Sciences” or the “Company”) (OTCQB: CVSI). Such investors are advised to contact Robert S. Willoughby at rswilloughby@pomlaw.com or 888-476-6529, ext. 9980.
The investigation concerns whether CV Sciences and certain of its officers and/or directors have engaged in securities fraud or other unlawful business practices.

On August 20, 2018, Citron Research (“Citron”) published a report addressing a CV Sciences patent application for CVSI-007 titled “Pharmaceutical Formulations Containing Cannabidiol and Nicotine For Treating Smokeless Tobacco Addiction” (the “Patent”). According to the Citron report, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) made a non-final rejection decision and mailed CV Sciences a letter indicating the non-final rejection status of its Patent on June 6, 2017, and then made a final rejection decision and mailed CV Sciences a letter indicating the final rejection status of its Patent on December 20, 2017. The Citron report alleged that CV Sciences never disclosed to investors the USPTO’s decisions concerning the Company’s Patent.
On this news, CV Sciences’ stock price fell $2.40, or 36.31%, to close at $4.21 on August 20, 2018.

$4.00+ close? It would not be a good thing to close under $4.00.
My company was threatened with a lawsuit once.
Looking in from the outside you could derive any number of scenarios. You could absolutely conjure up armageddon type outcomes if you didn't know what you were talking about, just like many in CVSI.
But if you knew our business, it was a tiny deal, we settled easily and they never wanted to go to court in the first place.
We stepped out of bounds on a very small matter but you could easily have blown it up to a doomsday death of the company if you wanted because 90% of people haven't been through any real business experience.
That's what is going on here.
The product is what matters. They are too smart to screw up the product.
If executives need to go, or the Board forces him out - so be it. Just protect the product!
I've invested in this exact scenario before.
Bad guy CEO never learns, stock muddles along and CEO eventually gets pushed out/prosecuted (for real), company goes on to flourish big time.
Scenarios:
Mona will hold on for a few years and stock will flourish despite his reputation (Steve Jobs also had a bad reputation).
Mona gets forced out along the way and the company flourishes faster
Someone buys the company regardless of above.
They've managed to build a good product and good distribution with a loyal user base. That's the core of value in any business and these guys are too smart to ruin the good product.
This will be just fine once all the loser manipulators get out of the picture and spend all their money on tattoos and fast cars.
CITRON announces he's moving on after covering for 70% on CVSI.
Here's the link from 30 mins ago: https://twitter.com/CitronResearch/status/1034849283982286848
Maybe it'll start heading back up soon. Either way - long and strong creates true wealth. I'm in this for years and have been buying all week down. Bought more today.
Great product with real, growing sales.
Bought $10k more. Will buy more - just waiting to see where bottom is.
Going to buy more tomorrow if it dips again. Will ride this baby all the way down.
I'm long 2-5 years from now.
I emailed company asking them to respond and fight this PR battle.
They can't just sit back and take it - they aren't Apple where they get the benefit of the doubt.
They need to support the shareholders by engaging publicly and fighting for their reputation.
2 million+ shares already traded - such a heavily traded stock.
It just awakens more people to the great financials and big market it's going to capture.
Every company has lawsuits everyday - it's not a big deal. Amazon's litigation dept. is insane.

MJNA? Why did you bring them up? Pure curiosity. Someone mentioned them to me years ago but stayed away for good reason.
CVSI files 8-K saying will vigorously defend against trash lawsuit.

Would any company ever make it on a big board if “no litigation” was a requirement? Nope.
Lawsuits are and will always be a constant way of life for CVSI given their controversial industry and success in that industry.
Yawn - short term hit.
Catalysts:
CWEB IPO
NASDAQ decision
US Farm bill likely legalizing hemp in US
Next quarterly earnings release
I’m long.
SA article twists reality to fit his own agenda. States old things that aren't relevant anymore.
One of the commenters summed it up nicely on the "coincidence" of this coming out right after the short-seller attack from Citron (who's been sued many times I believe).
"Are you kidding me?? Full time investor since 2017, trades infrequently, first time author writes a hit piece on CVSI right after Citron tweets their ignorance of patent law.. now SA lets this newb write an article showing his ignorance of just about everything.
This is why nobody reads or subscribed to Seeking Alpha anymore this used to be a respectable outlet. Sheesh."
Agree SA article is hired gun.
It's his first article. His bio is shockingly thin. He clearly takes things into his own context for a clear agenda rather than providing the counterpoints - which would make the article more neutral.
Someone else pointed out that:
+ Audited results with QB certification for years
+ industry leading CBD brand with exponential growth
+ $82MM float which is paltry compared to most OTC stocks.
+ Dilution is non-issue
Catalysts for CVSI:
There are way too many short and medium term catalysts to deter me from buy more on dips and staying long and strong. Sales are sales and no matter how many articles are written about things that are already well known, facts are facts and money is money coming in the door in the form of revenue.
Catalysts in order:
1. CWEB IPO
2. NASDAQ up-listing decision (cross fingers for approval!)
3. 2018 Farm bill that will likely legalize hemp in the U.S.
4. Next quarter earnings
SA hit piece: Commenters are tearing into his lack of knowledge on certain issues and demanding corrections.
SA hit piece: I should have waited to double my position until tomorrow.
Dammit - I rode the price down all day gobbling up tens of thousands of shares.
Yes this is all coordinated. Hopefully CWEB will drag us higher and hopefully NASDAQ approves the up-listing.
If NASDAQ doesn't approve the up-listing this is back to $1.00.
However, some of the companies on NASDAQ are absolutely tiny - not sure why they wouldn't let CVSI on.
I'm buying all way down today - CWEB IPO on Thurs. is a huge catalyst.
Doubling my position today and I'm getting overweight in this company.
However, no risk - no reward.
CVSI v. TLRY financials are insane. If CVSI gets NASDAQ approval this thing is going to the moon.
CWEB IPO - How to trade:
I'm based in the US and I use Fidelity's online trading platform and regularly call them for support. I've traded Canadian equities for years. You just call up your brokerage and ask them to turn on international trading. Most should be able to have it turned on. Then just ask where in the online portal you trade foreign equities.
CWEB will hit the open Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE) on Thursday morning.
It has a lot of fanfare and hopefully will pull CVSI and the entire sector up.
If you don't know CWEB you need you study the industry more. Just google it. CWEB is one of the bigger players in the industry and is going public on the Canadian Stock Exchange on Thursday. Great company.
I'm heavy into CVSI and plan on buying CWEB on Thursday. Both companies are great.
Agree that CWEB will bring this and the sector up on Thursday and from there on out.
Lawsuit is frivolous. I kind of feel sorry for the people who work at these scammy law firms.
CATALYST: CWEB to boost CVSI when it goes public on Thursday. I'm heavy and long on CVSI and plan on buying CWEB retail stock as soon as the bell rings on Thursday.
All these companies are linked together and pull each other up or down.
