HC, it is literally unbelievable.
Every excuse thrown out there for this share price has some merit, but NOTHING explains a pps LOWER than it was when we were 3 years out with little to show, as compared to now only a year away from having a real product on the market (somewhere) with exposure. We are much, much farther along than when Titan pulled the plug on the minimal indications strategy. Regardless of dilution, there seems to be no speculative energy developing for buyers.
Bizarre. It can only go up, and when it does I think it will be fast.
The masses don't know about Titan. And many big buyers are unable to buy off the OTC.
THANKS TITAN FOR 3 YEARS OF BAD PR, IR, REPRESENTATION, AND CRAPPY COUNSELING (BERTNER), AND LACKLUSTER MANAGEMENT, AND POOR FINANCING DECISIONS.
I'll forgive you if you keep moving in the right direction.
Jeezus!
With Titan, that is a good sign that things are proceeding along nicely. I'm hoping for a good 5% downtick in the next few days before a rise to a stable 70 cents.
Buying more on anything over that.
LOVE THIS NEW FRONT PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU, THANK, YOU, THANK YOU.
Fowler featured!
Ximedica featured!
Reiza dressed in a surgeon costume!
Where's a photo of Hargrove? LOL
Nice photo of product in place of Randall!
Well all this good news must be leaking because we are only down 3% on light trading. If confirmed good news breaks out we should be down 10-15%.
I'll wait to hear it from the supreme leaders of this "company".
Yes, and we are closing it fast.
Up 9/10ths of a cent with volume approaching 125k for the day.
I'd say market interest in Titan is going through the roof!
That used to grate on me, that Surgibot (and by implication TransEnterix) was mentioned in all those nitwit articles as being somehow a technological equivalent to daVinci, only smaller and cheaper. It was ridiculous and unfortunately, the average guy in the street was buying it.
I'd love to know if ALF-X is actually ready to sell, ship, support, and perform where it is approved and someone wants it. I suspect daVinci has just become such a standard that ALF-X just can't (and will never) reach any critical mass in the market in its current form.
TRXC does own ALF-X. That system is not Surgibot. It has real and up-to-date robotics technology and has been used in hundreds of clinical cases. It has value but its form factor will need to be changed to make it smaller. TRXC may find buyers for it who want a jump into the surgical robotics arena.
I think the biggest difficulty with Surgibot was that it was misrepresented to the investment public as robotic, and unsophisticated (medically and technically) investors bought into that. A more streamlined and honestly-represented version of it could have allowed it a place in providing enhancements to manual endoscopic surgery in select surgical situations.
TITXF management should be getting a lesson in that law firms will start sniffing around the surgical robotics sector with new interest in uncovering any potential lawsuits. I think this will actually stifle (as if that is needed) PR from Titan, although it might improve their transparency when it comes to IR.
I don't buy the excuse that shipping and setup of a unit is "too expensive". Jeezus Christ, pay it out of your own GD pocket JH, if you have to, or Fowler, or the other bozos. You didn't mind paying Bertner, or Paige, etc.. Rent a freakin' U-Haul and line up a few smart tech heads with muscles to help set up.
Pure BS, that it is too "expensive". These guys hide things from their investors. Of that I'm convinced. That's the only way to explain such weird behaviors from this company.
Amen, brother!!
In my opinion Ximedica (and Fowler)are the ONLY reason Titan is where they are at currently.
Hargrove and Rayman are bozos.
Krystal, Surgibot is nothing more than a fixed-platform for essentially two standard manual endoscopic instruments. It is not a robot. It would require an entire back-end of manual controls console-to wire-to actuators to move the effector arms and effectors. I have no idea if TRXC envisions this for Surgibot. There has been no indication that they do. Telemedicine is not the intent of the current design.
Alf-X has real possibilities as a daVinci substitute.
Yes. It will make us much, much less than the real possibilities it had.
Over the last 2-plus years, huge news has never caused pps to rise even a dollar. And any small rises have been very short lived. We will need a massive PR to just get us into the zone where someone will notice.
The silent strategy (which I think was due to Bertner's counseling) has been a disaster. I called that out over two years ago, among others on this board.
Can anyone reading this really believe that Titan and SPORT can be sub-dollar at this stage of the game. After Sages? When mentioned now in articles with "upcoming ISRG competitors"?
Where are the investors? Where is our CEO?
Pump???!!!!!
Nothing can pump this stock!!!
It can't even rise on its own good merits. To think Titan was higher a couple years ago with SO MUCH less in the proof and the pipeline and the timeline is enough to drive one insane.
We should be at $5 on actual current news releases and exposure.
I think CEO Scott Huennekens hasn't spent much time in ORs, med schools, surgical residencies, hospitals, or with concerned patients and families. There is still an art to medicine and surgery. It will be like that for more than 5 years.
He's talking about Jiffy Lube surgery a bit too early, but I give them credit for trying.
My guess is that they did not think it would be important enough to bother showing it. I don't why.
If I was Hargrove, I'd pay "many thousands of dollars" out of my own GD pocket to get the exposure. They paid a clown like Bertner for far less each month. Cost is not the reason the robot is not there.
I hope the news is that they have brought in a new CEO.
Thanks for the heads-up.
We now know to expect the pps to fall shortly thereafter.
I like what DukeSilver said about being creeped out by Titan Mgt.
Whatever, chump.
Surgibotnot is going nowhere.
Alf-Xtra-Large needs massive redesign just to think about competing with ISRG's big platform entrenched dominance.
Neither of your "offerings" will compete with SPORT's market anyway.
Noticed not one mention on your board of any feedback, even delusional, about TRXC showing at SAGES.
Your company comes off as a one-time, long-ago, dream of competing in surgical robotics that attracted some big speculators. While TRXC has burned through years of cash paying 120 employees and BS'ing everyone, Titan has produced.
Please go away.
Well, today's pps action confirms what we've all long suspected:
TITXF pps never makes sense, unless there is a real reason for it to fall.
With all this truly great news, $1.02, really??!!
Please Titan, get off this ridiculous exchange.
ISRG will claim that their console control, and therefore the training invested in to use it, and its commonality, are the world standard.
I really hope that Titan presents their plans for training at this first public exposure. They will also be asked about inherent advantages of the snake-arm technology. I don't know the answer for that, or if there really are any.
I just hope they present themselves as saavy, confident, and more than some company that just stepped out of a basement in Toronto. Ximedica should be there blowing their horn too as co-developer.
God help us I hope Hargrove doesn't forget to wear his socks.
This kind of weird trading behavior seems to have always been with Titan. Beats me. My best guess is that we are on an "obscure" exchange.
Great advice from many about the PFIC situation. I thank you all for looking into this and relaying it.
I tend to agree. The more you tell the IRS in an effort to be completely transparent, the more you can make problems for yourself. The average joe just trying to make some money using his hard earned cash to engage nd keep alive the engine of American (and Free World) Capitalism should not have to deal with the PFIC crap. Titan is a real company. No one is stashing cash there offshore. That is a fact. They can fail utterly too; we investors take that risk - Uncle Sam isn't!
Titan has paid big bucks to Ximedica (US), SAIL (US), US conference events, EVC, even Bertner, etc., will hire Americans, improve American healthcare, etc., etc.. I will just tell the IRS should they bring it up. That is real honesty, not some out-of-date, obscure, BS tax rule.
That's how I feel; sorry for the rant.
All of mine is in a regular Schwab trading account. Purchased in bits an pieces over the last 2.5 years.
Not probably, definitely.
Sometimes I just claim ignorance. If the IRS flags me I write a letter claiming my ignorance (which is usually the case) and ask them to provide me with tax advice, or pay for me to get some.
If they persist, I pay the amount due.
I'm happy to pay taxes, but when it is so F*ing complicated that with two advanced degrees I still need to hire professionals (who usually don't know either or have differing opinions), I say screw it; let the IRS tell me what the problem is.
Does Hargrove know this!!?? Someone better tell him.
Very happy with all that is going on, and still in disbelief that the pps can be so low for so long in the face of such a good bet in this sector.
I will say that if it is the case of Bertner vs. this new crew making the difference, then based on that alone I'd like to see Hargrove replaced as CEO. I realize that we have an unveiling coming up to help momentum, but no way should we have foundered for 2 years, with the subsequent dilution and cash crunches.
"...We look forward to working with the EVC Group team to maximize awareness of our potential, our achievements, and our focus on building value for our shareholders." John Hargrove actually said this.
I almost fell out of my chair. Better late than never.
$10,000 gift card for 5th Avenue boutique shopping.
Just another Titan/ John Hargrove mystery. I've gotten tired of trying to figure out this company from clues and hints. I looked into the whole 3D Medical Solutions story at one time. You won't get any information from Titan. Just like the Bertner story.
Hold and hope to make some cash on pps pops, a buyout, or a market going wld over SPORT, but Hargrove has been a terrible CEO for this company. He could be their marketing stategist, but that's it. Basically, Titan has been a company without a CEO in my opinion. I'd say get someone from Ximedica to take over.
I hope to hell that Ximedica makes their corporate presence known at the Titan Booth. Hell I don't care if people start calling it the Ximedica robot.
Without ANY big name associated with them, Titan can STILL come off as a garage-based company obscure company, regardless! of what SPORT looks like. People will ask why they are at 60 cents a share, why they've never heard of them, who is this CEO, why isn't Google looking at this, etc., etc..
Titan screwed themselves by not ramping up any buzz for themselves, EVER, in my opinion.
SAGES has got to be a MAJOR, MAJOR coming out party.
Virtual Incision's robot "working end" has appeared on this board before. An example of a surgical robot where the articulating joints and effector motions are driven by motors in the limbs themselves. A fine idea and one that will continue to be more powerful as it is miniaturized. As I've said before, it is hardly a 'virtual' incision; it is at a minimum an MIS device.
I think they are over-hyping it a bit in their releases.
I highly suspect the colon resection procedures were not performed entirely by the robot. It is a fairly big device to be functioning in any space that could be obtained inside the abdominal cavity for MIS. Our surgeons can weigh in on that.
I agree: another competitor on the horizon, and backed by university-quality engineering and probably a good amount of IP promotion.
Is the ALF-X system being modified by TRXC at this time in order for it to be more competitive with daVinci, or will it be marketed in the same form as was when purchased from Sofar?
Has TRXC taken over engineering design on ALF-X, or is that still managed by the European (Italian) team that designed it.
Also, when will marketing commence in Europe?
These are important questions that TRXC investors should be getting information about.
Thanks. I do recall that video. However, we are not sure whether the mechanism that was used in that video is being used in SPORT. SPORT has not been mentioned as having motion reduction, to my recollection. It is likely quite possible to do it, and in the plans, but we are not privy to that.
Good points.
Two comments:
It does remain too be seen if the snake-articulated effectors offer the accuracy, precision, and motion control available with wristed or other effector designs. I did not look at what the previously mentioned company is using as their core effector technology. SPORT remains based on a highly specialized platform (snake-arms) which is far from proven practically in the OR. Hopefully all along, surgeons like Fowler truly believe it has unique advantages. I am not so sure.
You are correct that telesurgery for plastics and microsurgical special procedures (like limb reattachment) could be special niches. Plastics is 'usually' low risk surgery where the most highly qualified surgeons may not be geographically available. The same for super-specialists doing nerve and vessel repair, microimplants to the brain, etc.. It would be nice to know that Titan is keeping abreast of telesurgical technology. Frankly, I think a Google-type company is better posed to dominate in that arena.
A needed advance for surgery. I wish them well.
That's a pretty piss-poor showing of institutional market involvement.
Thanks Bertner! Go buy another pair of hot boots on 5th avenue.
