Like all investors and even myself you buy stock and its a risk its the facts. I gave a long list earlier of how you build a beverage brand. I run a distributorship and sell quite a few brands. I spent 20 years watching brands that made it and brands that failed. This brand is going to make it despite you guys beating on it and the company. All investments are a risk if your not in for the long haul I suggest you get out. Because its a marathon not a sprint.
The pay I think a social media company to do that if your talking to their facebook your not talking with the company. To get a response from the company email them direct via the website that the only way to actually communicate with the company.
If that came from facebook its from a social media company that dos the management and not the company so I would not put stock in that etc.
They released PR just a few week or two back on the movie ads. They also have had articles on Bevnet and Beverage World all over the place. Recent Press by CMP mag and also convenience store news. So they have had a lot of press out there in the last month. I never seen them ever make a comment on their Facebook about the stock of flippers. They are growing the brand that what matters and in time you will see that is the case. Put to say they have not had a lot of press out there is not the case.
You don't get it this is not about PR for investors its about building the brand at the street level and creating more sales and distribution and placement. FB is not their outlet for PR its social media for the followers and fans of the brand. They do release now and then when necessary they don't hype this they just go sell and promote that what they need to be doing. The stock price will catch up in time and reflect what is going on in the industry. People buying the stock at this penny level are day flippers and you also have tons of the people from the reverse merger who stock is now unsecure and they are selling because they were tied up for years in accredited members once there gone you will see a bounce back in the stock I believe as well. The movie does not determine the brand far from it this is where your totally lost. You will see its only good for placement. The brand is The Hangover Recovery Shot , Hangover Joe's is the brand and in time as they continue to have more placement and grow the brand onto more and more store counters the movie image will fade from the bottle as it will be Hangover Joe's brand. Once you have placement and share of mind there is no need to have that because you now own the category plain and simple. It's about owning the category and growing the brand both domestic and international. Its not about releasing PR all the time for investors relations. They will in time get a IR firm and promote the stock but the focus now is on sales. The average person finds the brand in the stores and learns about it from events marketing promos advertising etc. This brand in the next 2 years will be in over half the cstores or more in the USA that is what is going on and will happen! That is the real objective of what they are doing on a daily basis. Its not about the movie. Your so wrong they missed an opportunity. The category is the opportunity, lesson 101 in beverage this is a new an emerging category. This is why their on the front of Beverage World magazine this month. I just set through a seminar this is going to be a 250 to 300mm category by 2015-17. I know you don't understand this or get it but that is the case. Remember know one thought energy could be a category and no one thought putting vitamin in water would work as a category. The event of the movie launch has nothing to do with the daily selling and growth of the category. Hangover Joe's has used the movie because store buyers will choose Hangover Joe's over others and get to the counters as it has branding. The movie forces placement once you have placement you own the category and no need for the movie branding as time goes on. The more placement and sales the better for the brand. They are actually independent of each other as time goes by they will be so far ahead in the category it won't matter no one will be able to play catch up. See this is not the end of the generation this is the birth. Just to show you that the functional lifestyle category is growing just yesterday a former coke guy launch a new product as a shot for headache. This is more proof the functional category away from energy is growing. I will post below and maybe you can understand that the category is growing and they are the only company positioned who are taking it for hangover recovery. There will be more diet shots , Sex Shots you name it the functional life style category is very much alive and in Hangover Recovery, Hangover Joe's is the Boss! Below is more news showing proof that the functional lifestyle category is growing at many levels

Former Coke Executive to Launch Functional Shot Line

Over-the-counter liquid therapy is ready to explode.
At least, that’s what Mary Page Platerink believes. A former executive at the Coca-Cola Co., Inc., Platerink is the founder and CEO of First Aid Shot Therapy (F.A.S.T.). Debuting in Seattle soon, F.A.S.T. has two SKUs — one targeted at pain, like headaches, and another that is supposed to relieve an upset stomach.
Using common OTC drug ingredients like ginger, caffeine, choline salycilate (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and calcium carbonate, F.A.S.T. offers a liquid format of relief from maladies that are typically treated with medications like Goody’s or TUMS. The product is expected to retail for $2.99 per shot.
While unconventional in the U.S., Platernik said this is an underdeveloped category that’s succeeded in Japan. Sofinnova Ventures, an investment firm with 40 years of healthcare experience, rewarded Platerink’s faith last month with an investment that will help launch F.A.S.T. this August.
“We believe the consumer healthcare segment to be a vital growth area for healthcare investment today, and F.A.S.T. is well positioned to be one of the leaders in this field,” Garheng Kong, general partner of Sofinnova, said in a release.
Coca-Cola’s $4.2 billion acquisition of Vitaminwater in May 2007 shook the beverage industry’s landscape, with ripples still being felt today, and seized the attention of entrepreneurs and executives alike. This included Platerink, then Coke’s director of global customer strategy, who started exploring what creates this kind of enormous value.
In 2010, she met a Stanford University doctor, Pankaj “Jay” Pasricha, then the chief of the Stanford gastroenterology and hepatology divisions. Pasricha shared with her an idea for a pain and upset-stomach remedy, and Platerink created the product by meshing functionality with accessibility.
She said that while creating the product, she constantly thought about Coke’s idea of “the perfect pour” and 5-hour Energy’s mission to give consumers what they want.
“The American consumer wants instant gratification,” Platerink said.
F.A.S.T., a liquid shot packaged in a 40 mL plastic PET bottle, targets consumers aged 18 to 44, with ages 24 to 35 serving as its sweet spot. Platerink said that the metallic package looks and feels like aluminum to engage with younger consumers and to stand out in the over-the-counter drug aisle.
“Today, everything in the aisle looks exactly the same,” she said. “It doesn’t really engage with those consumers.”
Platernik said that Sofinnova has been a compatible business partner because of its extensive experience in the healthcare industry. She said that the investment firm has followed F.A.S.T. for more than a year and has supported the product’s development. She said that their presence, along with the advisory board featuring Peter Barton Hutt, the former general counsel for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has aided the tricky process of bringing a drug product into market; a different kind of challenge than launching a food or beverage product.
“We have to fully embrace the FDA in our products,” Platerink said.
Platerink also said that Sofinnova’s investment will help bring F.A.S.T. to a second test market after the initial launch in Seattle. She said that the location of the second test market hasn’t yet been determined. Also on board to help shepherd F.A.S.T. is Andy Steele, a sales and marketing consultant who has worked with many high-profile consumer brands, including Glaceau and Pretzel Crisps.
I think you totally don't get it I been watching facebook. Yesterday large grocery chain for the 2 pack on east coast. I see the Walgreen stuff in Nola if they are in Walgreen more stores will ad the line I assume that is a Beta test in Nola. No advertising? They have full page ads in Beverage World , Bevnet & CSP Magazine just to name a few. They just did a national campaign in theaters aimed at the consumer. We also see there is a bus tour about to start or in the works. They don't go out hyping big news is coming on a daily basis. I have been told from my rep that they are kicking up promotions and if you read the recent Beverage World article and it was a cover story and center of the magazine article I would say they have had big news with this in the industry landing as one of the top picked next big brand by Beverage World and on front of the magazine. If you read that article it mention an investor who comes out of the beverage world and has a back ground in pharmacology. I think this was insightful and I expect that will be seeing brand line extension over the next year or so. I assume this investor is also an R&D company etc. If you follow facebook they did a large promotion over the weekend also in Vegas. They are focusing on the brand and that is just what they need to be doing. The key now is sales and more sales. I don't think their going to run out of money anytime soon. They are going to need more money to continue to grow the brand that is a given and I have always said its going to cost more and take longer.
They will have strong sales and continue to grow the brand and they have a strong investment partner. It is going to take more money and more sales distribution and its going to take time. I have know this and totally understand what it takes to build a beverage company from day one.
Yes I bought more today. Its a long term play. I saw on Facebook they landed another large grocery chain on the east coast. Rolling out to more stores and building the brand is their job and its a marathon not a sprint. I think most of us know this and are in for the long haul.
Wish I could but you are correct on that one.
I don't have to prove anything I am a distributor of the product and I think they will be proving it in their next Q as I think you will see sales will have increased big time. The proof will come from HJOE in the form of sales and when that happens there will be more article in the beverage magazine and more chains and authorizations. Time is on their side yes it is!
I have explained beverages 20 times its not going to correlate for sometime. The street is way ahead of the market. They also need and IR firm they have none and that another reason the stock world is way behind the beverage world. It's simple. I believe in the future months we will see them hire a IR firm and then will start to see more of a correlation of the two. But if you think the Beverage Magazine are in on Pumping the stock your wrong there reporting what is going on in the industry and this is a very hot category and they are the leaders in a massive growth category. The future is so bright for Hangover Joe's there going to have to wear shades!
You don't get it I expect more losses as with like with vitamin water the company lost money first few years it was not till they got to 36 million in sales they turned the corner and showed a profit for the first time 5hr it also took 3 years was not till 2007 that they turned a profit. It takes a fortune to build a national beverage brand that why it take strong investment it take longer than you thing and it cost more. That just the facts and if your not in for the long game then your not in because that what its going to take.
The category is huge and growing and they own it so far this is the key and they have good investment partner now. This press will only help as more cstores will be picking it up for sure.
Hangover Joe's made the cover of Beverage World Magazine the June Issue as one of "The Next Big Things' Break out brands. They also have the centerfold article in the issue. Here is the link to the article in the Magazine. As you all can see the Beverage experts are very strong on this category and this company. They continue to get very good press.
http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/macfadden/bw0613/#/36
I think they have a private investor and are not looking to the market place for investment. I have been told the have a strong investor partner who has the vision and passion for the brand. It was actually mentioned in the Cover story article in Beverage World that came out yesterday.
I think the category is there for the taking and with more international business they can achieve this Its good that they are gaining this attention in the beverage magazine. There front and center in the positioning in the category. Like I always say its going to take more money and its a marathon not a sprint. Good to see HJOE getting more press it all helps!
I have been setting in today on the Beverage World discussion State of The Beverage Market webinar and it was really interesting on the prediction on the category of Hangover Recovery! They stated this is one the hot new category in the functional beverage. It has also won the poll on the front of their website as the leading growth category. They predict the segment category to grow and have solid growth from 2012 to 2016. This was today between 2pm & 3pm on www.beverageworld.com. HJOE is going to be featured in the June Issue that should be hitting the mail box anytime as a breakout beverage. The pointed out that the category is still small with many more players coming but Hangover Joe's is the established category leader. The upside is the consumer is now more focused on functional beverages and this is a big plus and the category has a huge upside.
Yes I have taken it before, I really don't like the taste of it. It gave me the shakes, I didn't like how it make me feel. I also took it on an empty stomach.
It's been very well documented that in the first few years 5hr didn't have strong sales you can go back to the beverage mags in 2005-2006 and they would say they spent over 2 million in promotion with less than 400K in sales. This is just public fact from articles that are out in the public domain and they struggled and the owner has state many times they almost went out of business. When the product first launched in Walgreen they removed it because the sell through was so low it didn't sell. why was this because they had not sampled and promoted the brand or taught people to take energy shots they pioneered a new category and it took tons of promotion to educate and sampling this is how you build brand and it take lots of money a reason so many beverages fail, up to this point HJOE has been undercapitalized. The owner of 5hr has stated many time that almost cost them the business and it took years till Walgreen re launched the product in the store he often says they got a national authorization before the consumer new of the functional side of the brand and they had not created brand awareness or share of mind in the market space. The one thing you need to know about Hangover Joe's and I have been told from a good source that the mystery investor has very deep pockets deeper than we might imagine and has the vision and loves the brand and is totally behind It. I was told at Bevnet we will learn more of this over the coming months plus much more. There is no espionage man there is only a great relationships with a company and brand I believe in and market and sell. Today our sampling at a local grocery chain was great, if you could have the advantage to see how people respond to the brand from Soccer moms to golfers to working folk its resonates to the consumer. These are the facts. I am not worried about Hangover Joe's with their backing this is why we are seeing large promotions starting around the country buses etc.
ITs not about the movie fool, its about building the brand. Go look 5hr fist few years they spend tons and lost more. They never had as strong a numbers a Hangover Joes toll 2006 this is in its first year you have no clue you been saying the same about them in year one or two. I just set through a few day seminar where basically experts said this is what it take and the stock price will never catch up or reflect the company. Sales will be strong and stronger and the movie has nothing to do with it. The brand is Hangover Recovery the movie only aids in placement onto shelves as brand awareness the movies are independent to the function of the brand. That a lesson in basic sociology for you
Statement make no since. There going to promote the hell out the brand and that is a good thing. I know you love doom and gloom but that not what this is about its about creating brand awareness and share of mind and it looks like they are going after it.
I don't have to pre book it will be sold out. I love these guys are starting to promote they told me that they were going to take it up a notch and it looks like their going to do big promo. Just saw this on facebook I love it. Magical Mystery Joe's Tour Haha.
YA its how you build a brand they need to promote massive and do tons of sampling and event sponsoring, yes build awareness build share of mine. It's a beautiful thing.
What you see is short sided and you don't have the knowledge of me. I sorry you cannot get it. The company is strong with investor and there will be more cash when needed. Cash is not to concern what goes down will come up. The stock market is not at all based on what is actually going on in this category. You don't believe in the category or have the luxury to the knowledge I do because I am out there setting in the conference on the front line of the category. I actually sell the product. We are doing a big sampling tomorrow morning at a Supermarket Chain. I get to see how people interact with the brand I have the insight and the knowledge of what is really going on, you make short side comments based on numbers of what you preserve reality to be or the reality in a snap shot frozen in time, This category has just launched. This is just the start to a lot more to come. I learned over this week how strong of a backer they have and I can tell you there going to be more money pumped into this brand and I predict line extensions soon than later. Your going to see a lot more promo across this country. Snake oil was a shot at the guys stupid term I pointed out how clues he is on understand how people view functional brands. Its a functional life style beverage just as 5hr works for energy and vitamin water is a recovery drink and so is gator aid and Bob Marley is a relaxation drink all versions of what he would call snake oil and all functional lifestyle based products. You might not like the brand that fine put don't try to lay the BS on like you understand what going on based on a snap shot of the stock price or the numbers because to what is going on in the category and the street its not relevant but in time that will cause this to be relevant it starts there not here in micro cap land.
I take that as a beautiful statement. 5hr is the best snake oil out there seen the latest ad on TV its like coffee with vitamin. How about this one Red Bull give you wings or how about vitamin water its vitamins that hydrate you. These are all versions of what you call snake oil. I sorry you don't get it or like marketing or beverages. Hangover Recovery Shot Hangover Joe's - Just Get It & Get Over IT! More snake oil, you continue to look like an ass as always. I just came back from the largest educational seminar on beverages in the USA over 50% of the show was about branding marketing and driving consumers to buy your own version of snake oil that might be energy strips now or energy beef jerky or it might be tea with ginseng. Its called creating market share and share of mind in the category and market place. The great thing is Hangover Joe's is doing it big time and the future numbers and more distributors will prove that out. Its going take more money its going to cost more and it's a marathon not a sprint. Here to selling more snake oil that my Job each and everyday and so dam proud of it. Snake oil anyone?
I spoke to my guy yesterday over at HJOE and he told ne they are having a meeting to discuss hiring a team to promote the stock he said its not really been the focus but they are looking at addressing it. He did tell me their about to start and I quote massive promotions around the country and events promos. He said we are going to take it up a bit and add more street teams and a higher level of guerilla marketing and focus on sampling and brand building.
The also have a large distributor in Texas and Republic National in Texas I think you see more of HJOE all over Texas soon.
The optimism comes from understanding what these guys are doing on the beverage side. They are increased production they have the top two DSD in the USA pushing the brand and they now have HLA in NY and John Lenore in Southern California not to mention Republic Liquor and a new large distributor in Arkansas and Eastern TN as well as a new distributor I met from Indiana. They key is they are adding more and more distributors and growing the brand down the street this is huge. HLA them selves are massive in the Northeast. Distributors like this don't pick up and start moving the brand without two things. The believe in the category and they also know the can place it and move the product. These are all things that are create optimism.
It's so designed for the market and the new 2 pack gets them even more business off the counter in the liquor and cooler area. They have the best concept as morning after and the delivery system and packaging and branding is the best. I just got back the show was really good look forward to Santa Monica show in December.
This is not a show where there are both its seminars you break up into rooms and there is a main hall with presentations. You can attend different lectures that go on host of subjects. You can see some of it live tomorrow on Bevent they stream some stuff in the main hall live on the website. This is not a show where people come to hock products, there are tons of samples. This is a inside beverage guys conference, some brand do get up and speak about what they are doing to be effective. There are speakers form like Monster etc. Guys who are distributors speak etc. There are speakers form all different aspects of the industry. Also Hangover Joe's social media is quite real. Just look at all the people out in instagram who have put up the shot in social media over months you cannot fake this etc. This is basically a show where people in the industry get together and there are meeting and discussions and its basically where you network and see what others are doing in markets around the country. There is a sampling bar where products are put out but no one here has booths per say where they handing out tons of product and trying to sell there products. Like Hangover Joe's does not man a booth etc. Like tomorrow this is some of the stuff on the agenda. Wednesday morning, attendees will hear from three marketing experts who are there to discuss strategies for entrepreneurial beverage companies to build a critical mass of dedicated customers. The panel discussion “Reaching Your Core Consumer” will put Vanessa Walker, Sr. Director, Strategic Brand Management at National Beverage Corp., Greg Fleishman, EVP Marketing at Sambazon, and Olivier Sonnois, the CEO of Brands Within Reach front-and-center to talk about ways that they have been able to seek out and activate influential brand advocates to increase awareness and drive sales. This is an educational show more than anything where the brands come to hear what is going on etc. Lost of networking goes on here and people talk about what is hot an trending. Hangover Recovery is a very hot category that why you see all the beverage magazine featuring it etc.
I have always said its going to take millions to build this brand and yes more promotion everyone today at this conference I was at said they need to promote more. They need to do more events, I have always said its a marathon and not a sprint. There no contradiction to it.
I just came from the cocktail party where this was being talked about tonight. I don't think they are inflating numbers to qualify for distribution in Core Mark and Mclane you have to be in at least 20K accounts. They also now have a huge distributor in Southern California and in NY that have come on board. They have Republic National the second largest distributor of liquor moving the product in select locations around the country. I also met a distributor from Indiana who has just started moving the product and another guy from Kentucky. The category has been talked about and featured also there is 3 more new Hangover products that have come out in the last month or so. The category is growing and the space is growing. They are also not raising money from shareholders they have one private investor I was told who shares the companies passion for the brand and the category and vision. Everyone agree Hangover Joe's is leading this category and its going to take more sales , a lot more money and distribution to continue to grow this brand. We also talked about them going to need other co packers in the near future.
You can buy that crap for nothing online. The thing most people don't know is that Facebook and Twitter over a year ago stopped those profiles for branded products. Even top starts like Lady Gaga and others lost thousands of fans. They have software to stop face profiles so that stuff is basically useless to companies and they have put in the protection for this etc.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/27/fake-facebook-likes_n_1920724.html
Its going to take millions of more dollars I just set in on a seminar this category is growing massive. There are three new hangover products being show here and are on the sampling tables. The category is big and that is why you see all these companies jumping in just like you did with energy and relaxation when it started. The category is heating up. Hangover Joe's is going to need as pointed out earlier more co packers and their also going to need more distribution on all fronts plus more promotion. This is not depending on the stock the movie this is depending on up and down the street and into the stores. This has to be built from the street level and they are way ahead of everyone so far and they have great branding. Everyone here loves the brand and also that it works and has good turns. The key is more and more money. It's a marathon and not a sprint. The guy I know came from Red Bull he also is a national sales trainer for the company he is totally committed and will be going out training a lot of these new distributors. We can have this conversation in a few years because its going take that and millions more dollars and everyone here thinks they are moving in the right direction. I have heard some guys wishing they were doing more promotions in there markets, but as everyone knows it take more money.
Totally agree I can tell you they got more distributors coming on HLA in NYC will do a ton themselves and they got the other big one out in Southern California , John Lenore so these are two big distributors I learned about today on both coast. I been saying it for months its a marathon not a sprint and its all about sales and distribution.
Hey I was just told something else the founders all of their stock is restricted they cannot sell if they want the company is not even a year old so they are not dumping anything they cannot restricted by SEC law. In my opinion they don't release enough press. Guy setting next to me said, hey if this was a pump and dump they sure would of built it higher and put on tons of PR and the founders would be the ones who are trading they are not they cannot. They are focus on building sales and growing the brand. I mean spending million on all the branding they done not counting the license deal. Also this guy pointed out Warner Brothers would not be involved in a deal like that and would also be doing its own audits of the brand. I can tell you lots of people here are massive keen on the company and even most distributors don't know its a public company which actually surprised me. I have talked to I would say 3-5 guys that didn't know its even public.
The average person out here who is buying this product in stores are not following the brand on facebook. They raised the million with a private investor as I was told this morning this person is remaining out of the spotlight but is massive behind the brand and pouring more money into the company. Lets address the movie ad you think its fake as well. I setting eating lunch with a few other guys who distribute the product who have never seen this board. I am showing it to them and they are saying wow. I mean you really believe they are not producing a product and are in thousands of stores and they are spending all this money. Even coming to this conference which has nothing to do with stock but distributors all in a huge scam that its not a real company they are here just trying to scam the stock or distributors. They don't focus on the stock and maybe they should but I can tell you they are a real company and the do real promo across the country. They fly people out and train your sales guys they provide support and POS and know one who running a scam is doing this man.
They spend hundred of thousands create all this debt do hundred of thousands in ads wrap autos move around the country with promo teams, they spend all the money manufacturing it and you think its a pump and dump. They would have to be totally ignorant to spend the million or so they done on the product and promotion and all the store pos. Do you know how much POS they send you when you buy a pallet. Really go to all of that for a big scam get real
No its not you said the ads in movie are fake its a couple hundred K buy hey this just a BS link. I see the interaction go to twitter put in Hangover Recovery Shot or Hangover Recovery Shots you see tons of people talking about the brand and guess what posting photos on instagram I assume you think that fake. The movie ad want the number to Regal to prove it I checked on it personally they are playing in over 50 USA markets and not just Hangover 3 its in all theaters. I see the product and have it in stores I not going to debate this crap with you I am on lunch at Bevnet but your totally wrong. Go do the twitter check all those people with the shot there just made up fake address. Get real. The movie ad its made up ya.
Your nuts I seen the ad myself in the theather and look at the Klout scores and levels of social interaction on Facebook and Twitter. Its real people everyday interacting with the brand. They have very high social media scores and they are dam good at internet. Google Hangover Recovery Shot they like own the first few pages of Google. The same on a ton of other keywords relating to the category. They get SEO massive.
