It is a tough one for them I imagine. They could probably sell more stock if the CE was lifted which would help the funding of the famed sniffer detector, but would the information that came out with the current information (share counts, locations of offices, material agreements) send the stock way down? This is my guess, they think they are better off with CE then letting out the information needed to remove it.
Richie if they wanted CE lifted they would have done it long ago in my opinion. It is clear what is required and they just have not shown interest in doing it.
But it is up 25% maybe this is the breakout.
Emily, I have my money on a PR regarding some obscure country placing an order to xxxx units equaling yyyy shekels, but the potential for the country is $$$$$$$$$. Watch for it. We have not seen this in a while so they are due.
Richie maybe we are missing something here. There are a few folks here who seemed convinced this thing is about to turn the corner. The don't have a lot of facts and seem to ignore that their hopes are based on promises which have failed to materialize in the past. They even ignore the dilution. They have added how many billions of shares over the last few months? 200K in revenue that is a great trend.
Maybe it is us.
Emily you can't be serious? Whatever happend to the retail deal? They had a vendor number and in store date remember? They never named the chain so there is no risk. They are hiding behind their forward looking statement lingo on the bottom of their PRs. Do you think there was a retail opportunity? How can you be sure? Oximeter Plus a company which states
"Oximeter Plus, Inc. has developed a nationwide reputation as a leader in supplying high quality oximetry products at excellent prices. "
They are going to be Identa in CVS?
Here is the roadmap for getting CE lifted. All they need to do is fill in the blanks right? Why don't they do this if they are serious about getting it lifted. They must have all this information.
I am particularly interested to see their responses for items; 6, 10, 18 and 20.

Emily are you referring to Oximeter Plus? The company that does not even mention Identa on its Website? If you are holding out for a retail deal I would give a lot of thought to these questions:
1) How is Identa going to market the product in the US?
2) How will they pay for the marketing?
3) With no marketing how would this product sell in the retail chain?
4) Do you really think parents are going to buy a device to check substances? When they can buy a device to check the kid?
Tex can you tell me why you think they have such a great product? They have been trying to sell it for 8 years and they only can manage 200K in revenue? This does not scream great product to me. I think there are better competitive alternatives and I think there is not a huge market opportunity here. Why do you think this?
Bull -
I am with you on this. I don't see there being a large direct to consumer play here for the reasons you mentioned. Why test the substance when you can test the kid, plus lets face it you find a bag of green stuff in your kids draw what do you think it is.
I think the market is law and legal as they have been chasing and I think competitive alternatives are better then what they produce thus the lack of sales after 8 years of trying.
Just my view, could be wrong.
Emily I think investors were happy with the last retail deal too. What happened to that one?
Tex, releasing financials were a small positive step in the right direction in my view. Lets remember a couple of things 1) they did not provide all the information to be current with OTC, why is that? They have this information available 2) The sales numbers are very small. They had announced 500K of sales in 2008 and now they have 200K, after 8 years of marketing?
Retail market, what happened last time?
But they said in the PR the value of the share should be higher, how can that not be true.
Sniffers. I did some brief research on drug sniffers the other day. There are a wide range of sniffers already available from many different/reputable companies and they have been available for a long time. I am not sure what they are developing but the sniffer market appears crowded.
I am sure it will fill quickly on Monday, they have a sniffer to build.
Richie
The truth hurts and might yet again fall on deaf ears. If they were serious about CE they would have gotten rid of it months and months ago. OTC provides the document with the information needed to remove CE. It is not rocket science.
Tex lets face one thing. If they wanted CE lifted they would do it. It is clear what it will take to get it done. They have known for 9 months.
I don't think they should stop promoting that would be stupid on their part. But I also don't think they haven proven they can support a huge customer like a CVS. A large retail customer is going to demand a higher volume of product, which to date they have not delivered. They had handled smaller orders apparently but nothing of this scale. Also getting a retail deal will require a large marketing outlay. CVS would require them to advertise and promote the product more broadly where do they get the cash for this?
It would behoove them if they are serious about growing to remove CE. So if they are serious how come they have not done it?
OTC provides the roadmap for getting CE lifted. It is clear this is not a priority or they would have provided the necessary information long ago. It is not like they are asking for information that does not exist. Number of offices, share counts, employees, stock ownership, financials etc. Identa knows it all but for some reason they do not want to provide it.
Tex I would think CE might cause red flags with a potential retail partner. Also CVS for example asked for financials from a company, I am not sure if they have any profitability requirements but might they be less likely to do business with a company that is both very unprofitable and has CE hanging over it? In my opinion, CE blocks any serious stock volume and could hinder expansion in the US.
What do they need to do? If they need to provide all the information to be considered "current information" on the pinks, then they are missing a lot of relevant information.
Is that the requirement?
Well never thought they would do it but great that they lived up to one promise. I am pleasantly surprised. A step in the right direction. The revenue numbers are low which we already knew. I think they are still missing some data though to get CE removed such as share counts etc, but for once I can't say much bad.
Today is financials day. What do you think? Do we see something or is this another missed date with no explanation.
Mike I have been a Identa student for years. I don't believe they will publish financials like they promised so that rules out a financial press release and also one about the status of CE. Their press releases follow a similar pattern. Based on this pattern I think we are due for a new country/distributor press release or a press release announcing orders so far this year in the tens of shekels. They might even combine the two. This is of course just my opinion.
What news do you think we will see?
I was a week off on this prediction. Next PR will be new distributor or new sales order from a new country is my guess.
HP
What is so sweet about this news? There is nothing concrete in it, just a lot of potential which we have heard before.
Financials this week and a change in status. This is of course from their Dec press release that they have removed from their site.
Emily without reporting, which they have promised twice, there is no way to tell if thoses reported orders ever become revenue. BTW you don't know the product is good. They have a ton of distributors and have been selling the product for 8 years and only generated 200k in revenue down from 500k in 2008. This does not scream success to me or that they have a great product.
They are not doing PRs unless it is real? Come on. What about the financial PR? Now removed from their site?
Really? What could make you think that? The removal orr the PRs is a bad sign in my book. The only gold is being delivered to Yaacov's house as he sells more shares.
There are other possible explanations, such as the company survives on selling shares not product. They claim 200k in sales per year but since they won't report financials we don't even know if that pitiful figure is accurate. Emily if you are a true investor you should know what this is.
Emily you can't possibly be positive about this? The exclusion of the financial press release from the identa websites is a very very bad sign in my opinion. Why won't they publish that? I suspect it is cause they are not going to report and don't want to call attention to yet another missed promise.
It has to be true, it is in a press release. Or they could be relying on this clause they use on their PRs
These forward-looking statements are based on management's expectations as of the date hereof, and the company does not undertake any responsibility to update any of these statements in the future.
Identa to begin reporting financials. Can't wait, should be soon.
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/international-drug--explosives-detection-company-identa-corp-to-begin-reporting-financials-135860633.html
I think I will post this on here every day as a reminder that financials are coming.
It is almost unbelievable. I don't know where the Yahoo board sources their PRs from but the PR is not there either.
You are right new potential investors will not see that release and thus will not know they missed financials and promising them two years in a row (if that is what happens). They also won't see the PR about moving to CE either.
The only thing we know for sure is that they have a lot of shares to sell.
Don't know how they can deny it, when the PR is still everywhere on the Internet. I can't say I am surprised. If I were a shareholder I would be concerned.
I would love to hear someone explain how they forgot to include that release on their two Websites? Fadi?
Press Release about financials not on Identa's Website. All of the other ones are listed. They nicely don't include the Dec. 19th release but have ones issued before and after.
Check both sites:
http://www.identa-corp.com/index.php?pid=pr
http://www.identa.biz/pressrelease.asp
I believe this might lower the chance that they might actually report someting.
Less then two weeks before financials. The count down is exciting. We should also expect the great trip to America PR this week.
