like i said, 'Big News w/in 2 weeks!'
how do i know? I don't. Just looking at the probabilities.
that was really very peculiar activity right before the close!
wavedreamer I say we get Big News w/in 2wks!!
the NSA thinks Wave Systems is the spearhead. Yeah yeah...
the skeptics will say 'show me the money'. Ok fine. One of
these days we will show them the 'money'.
Until then i just sit and wait and occasionally accumulate.
I have a six figure share position now over the years. Never
thought that would happen. LOL
The Power is shifting from Search to Social Networks!!
read here:
http://www.businessinsider.com/the-balance-of-power-is-shifting-from-google-to-facebook-2010-10
The more I think about it in my puny little head, the more it
makes sense that the real power of the internet is intricately
expressed within the SOCIAL NETWORK.
Search engines and 'searching' is a lonely and singular activity,
but social networking is a broad and more 'uplifting' ( insofar
as you are mixing it up with other similar people)type of activity.
Searching is no where near as powerful as social networking.
it is really fantastic!
The Power of Social Networking Companies!!!
This is clearly the NEXT BIG THING!!
read this:
http://www.businessinsider.com/the-balance-of-power-is-shifting-from-google-to-facebook-2010-10
Now, think about it!
QPSA is the leading social network enterprise in the fastest
growing global market....the LATINO DEMOGRAPHIC!
I am not hyping here. This could very well be a MONSTER STOCK!!
JMHO
cjg...you are probably right!
I don't think there will be any new public offerings
until the price is right.
no one knows. The management is very pro shareholder oriented.
Keep in mind that the first order of business is to ensure
that the franchise grows as rapidly as possible in the face of
competition.
I would love to see QPSA start a GroupOn type business in the
Latino community!!! It would be a Home Run!!!!!
ChasD...an AMEX listing would be significant.
Institutional capital would be forthcoming. Big catalyst.
I hope management can amass capital without diluting the
shareholders. I think management is very very shareholder
friendly and so I am not too worried.
I wouldn't be too concerned if management would allow the
current market cap grow to about $200 million and then do
a public offering at, let's say $10 or $12 per share. That
would be OK.
On another note, I think it would be fantastic if QPSA started
a GroupOn type service down in South America. I think it would
be a hit!!
just thinking out loud
Ian...WOW! an AMEX listing!!
that's great stuff. Institutional interest would clearly
grow in a big way with an AMEX listing! No doubt.
I agree a consolidation would be justified. Having said that,
I think long term, high risk investors could buy at these levels.
As you said, double digit stock prices are forthcoming given the
appropriate time horizon. Short term traders might look for a
10% pullback for a quick trade.
Myself, I am looking at QPSA with at least a five year time horizon.
I think that the BIG GROWTH phase will kick in by 2012 and continue
for at least several, if not more, years. And when I say BIG GROWTH i mean triple digit membership growth and commensurate revenue/earnings growth.
Thanks for your report on the potential AMEX listing. This would be
a HUGE CATALYST.
I would appreciate your good feedback.
good stuff
thanks
wow! that close to being listed on NASDAQ/AMEX??
that is very interesting.
so they must have submitted their application a while ago.
smart management
that won't happen until it goes on the NASDAQ
or AMEX. probably NASDAQ.
everyone has their own investment style but I hope investors
don't buy on margin. too risky for me anyway.
i sort of like it on the socalled 'pink sheets'. It sort of
flies under the radar and so I can pick up shares at a lower
price. Once it goes on one of the bigger markets, then it won't
be flying under the radar. Just my thoughts...
Bought another block.
going to keep accumulating prior to the FaceBook IPO.
just seems like a fairly sensible thing to do in lieu
of the peer valuations.
we'll see
Article here saying that YHOO might buy GroupOn!!!
http://www.businessinsider.com/yahoo-looking-at-buying-groupon-2010-10
OK....so Groupon ( a social network site that does coupon type
business) had only 4 million users as of May 2010. Not to belittle
4 million users or anything and the company is making impressive
revenue numbers.
But QPSA already has over 20 million users and will probably have
close to 55 million year end next year! What's to keep QPSA from
starting their own Groupon type business down in South America?
So YHOO might be buying Groupon for somewhere between $2 to $3
billion!! This values each Groupon member at $550 each!!!
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY????
that's right $550 each.
oh boy
wavedreamer And if you combine Digital Mgmt
with ORC/WYY possibilities, then you can see that the revenue
outlook brightens up considerably.
the key question is, and has ALWAYS been, the timeline! When will
this revenue stream start to kick in? We have been way way off
in this respect, but sooner or later the revenues will start to
ramp up. AND, i think that the growth rate will be fantastic once
this whole dynamic starts to kick in.
hoping anyway
ChasD it is an awesome opportunity, imho.
feel free to use my points of interest on QPSA to whatever
place you want. no problem with me.
Latest Technical Barchart Summary here!
http://www.barchart.com/opinions/stocks/QPSA
interesting
ChasD well, the valuation #s are clear as day.
Actually, when you think about it QPSA is perhaps in the
best global market out there.
First of all, QPSA is primarily INTERNATIONAL. That's a plus
Second, QPSA is growing fastest in South America. That's huge
because it is the best international (ex USA) market out there.
Third, QPSA is very quickly monetizing its franchise. The new
skill based games is just an example.
Fourth, it is well managed by a group of very young, smart and
energetic guys who know the space. Lots of insider ownership which
is good too.
Fifth, it is well sponsored.
Sixth, it is UNIQUE because it is the only publicly traded social
network out there.
Seventh, it is undervalued vs. its peers. Maybe GROSSLY undervalued.
So, those are the key reasons to look at this franchise.
pretty amazing
orda...here is my hopeful outlook/scenario
We need WAVX to just hang in there. Clearly, this investment
is taking way way longer than any of us anticipated.
So, we just need WAVX to keep growing their business and hopefully
secure a couple more big contracts like the GM one ( i use 'big'
relatively speaking)so that WAVX can keep going until the big
traction kicks in.
Unfortunately, we just have to hang in there. Not much we can do
about it.
p&f
The $$ Value of LinkedIn is here!!
http://www.socialnetworkingwatch.com/2010/09/linkedin-now-worth-more-than-2-billion.html
Tiger just bought a chunk of LinkedIn for $2.26 Billion. See
above article.
I guesstimate that LinkedIn has a user population of about 70
million....maybe a little less.
So, based on these #s Tiger Asset Management (a very well respected
firm)values each LinkedIn user at about $32.
We know that by year end QPSA will have about 26 million users.
Based on LinkedIn valuations, QPSA would be worth about $830 million.
By year end next year QPSA could grow in value to about $1.9 billion ( again based on LinkedIn #s).
There are only 13 million shares outstanding. So, this would give a
valuation per share of $147.
OK....what if we were to cut these valuation metrics by 50%.
Well, that would bring QPSA per share value down to $73 by year end
2011. Not too shabby.
just some interesting musings to ponder.
Late PM buying surge?
it could happen....
need to get over that $6.02 minor resistance
not that it matters over the long haul
ChasD what's the bid now?
$5.85?
oknpv that's it. Sheldon Levine said it!!!
check out his Feb 2010 post. Looks like ORC/WYY uses WAVX
technology at the core of its certificate business.
good stuff
Latest technical picture.
next resistance level is a bit over $6. Then, the next
resistance is about $6.16
http://www.barchart.com/cheatsheet.php?sym=QPSA
just interesting to know
summerblaze thanks for the info
that's interesting. I think, however, that Wave and WYY (via
ORC) are doing business in other capacities as well. I just
can't remember the exact relationship.
thanks again
ChasD How's the volume shaping up?
probably going to do more today vs. yesterday
thks
33% insider ownership! 9 million shr Float!!
it's great that there is so much insider ownership. No wonder
the management is so motivated to enhance shareholder value!!
and the Float is miniscule in today's market.
good stuff.
ChasD...yup. no sellers in sight!
i wonder why....LOL!!!!
Interesting report on Widepoint (WYY)
http://seekingalpha.com/article/228904-michael-steinhardt-s-variant-perception-on-widepoint?source=yahoo
I understand we do some good stuff with Widepoint (WYY). Could
someone elaborate on the scope of our relationship?
thanks
CharlesD with the LOW FLOAT & LOW # O/S shares
the big increase in trading volume recently starts to
really get things very very interesting.
In the last two days alone, 200,000 shares have traded and
probably they are in the hands of relatively long term
investors (2 to 3 year time horizon).
A couple more weeks of this type of activity and we have
the makings of a very spectacular situation.......
just some random thoughts to ponder
CharlesD are we going to get the late PM volume?
a repeat of yesterday?
how does it look?
Technical outlook on QPSA!
http://www.barchart.com/opinions/stocks/QPSA
just thought it would be interesting....
Escrow The Most Sensible Post in a Long While!!
i want to congratulate you on perhaps the most sensible and
relevant post i have read in a very very very long time.
thanks!
samk THANKS! eom
Next year will be big revenue growth!
I am hoping for somewhere between $30 million to $50 million.
I am unclear about earnings. I am hopeful for earnings but I
think this investment will first move up based on revenue growth
and the evaporation of the socalled "execution risk'. I would
much rather see QPSA solidify its Number One market position in
the Latino market. Earnings will probably come on strong in 2012
just in time for the FaceBook IPO.
just my thoughts.
CharlesD just bought another small batch.
Yup. Yesterday's PM action was pretty impressive. Had not
seen that sort of activity.
Still playing around with next year's revenue numbers. Ladenburg
guesstimated 4Q 2010 revenues at about $4 million.
So, if we say that going into next year our Q1 revenues will be
a minimum of $5million, then I think one could say that total
year (2011) could be a minimum of $26 million. I am projecting
that revenue growth will be about 20% qtr to qtr.
The revenues could really move up based on all sorts of intangibles.
We could see $40 million in revenue run rate by the end of next
year.
just some thoughts.
CharlesD do u think greater vol. today
vs. yesterday?
i think so.
Right. But revenues is another thing.
at a penny per user I think you could see $40 million in
revenues by the end of next year.
sound reasonable? thanks
ian...could you give me a ballpark range
of where you think revenues could be by the end of next
year? Just a ballpark
thanks
samk could you bring me up to speed on this?
could you tell me exactly how Wave is connected to the
Citrix Xen virtualization technology?
thanks
CharlesD....looking good.
probably have good volume today too.
ian...Nice job on your report.
i noticed it on the wires. Seekingalpha? That is an
interesting place for info.
good job.
