Recently, they have decided not to PR every little thing. Probably at the recommendation of YA/Neom counsel seeing how hype/foggy PR's are somewhat tied to Claw's claims of short-swinging.
On a side note, Bruce Braun has been with Neom for almost 6 months....what the heck has he done since his arrival other than drain the payroll account?
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a PR about this. We can't let our competition know...
...shhhhh...
If we build it, they will come.
They are in .PDF format, not sure how to paste them onto here...but this will get you to them.
Docs can be found here.

Didn't Barkume add new claims this time around?
If history repeats itself, then Neom will fumble this as well and the cycle will continue. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see it upheld...but my Scottrade account says to take anything Neom related with a salt block.
Time will tell I suppose.
Great to see that.
But I'll play Devil's Advocate....what's the point in having the '048 re-exam terminated when the patent holder doesn't even recommend the indirect method?
i see nothing has still materialized

Hopefully the defense arguments are true and the judge agrees.
Sure not YA, it's your fault and your fault alone!
She's a hack of a leader, so far she's hired some people which look good on paper...but I've hired plenty of people with false credentials and have been let down. You have to ask yourself, if these people are so great why on earth would they come to Neomedia, why are they even available in the first place? Sure, they may know Laura but would they really hurt their career for a favor?? I'm still open to seeing their performance, but so far I'm not seeing much that's worth while.
As for Laura, she's been with Neom for over 2 years, she was a cheerleader for indirect and is as much responsible for putting Neom where it is today (in the crapper), she voted for the R/S, she never held anyone accountable as she stated she would, she's all over the place (educating the market, B2B, so forth) and has contridicted herself numerous times since becoming acting CEO. Further, she blamed common shareholders for the PPS drop...not herself, not her staff, not her investors (YA) and certaintly not Neom's lack of performance.
What seasoned, credible CEO would want to take over the reigns of a mess that Neom has become...with no apparent corrective course being taken - that's great we paid 2 mil of debt...but we're still borrowing monthly AND if each license bring in only 1 mil then we need to sign a few hundred deals to pay off the current debt load? All my opinion of course; plus, Poptech has made some good points about Neom unable to bring on a CEO with a board that was not approved by shareholders.
Sorry for the rambling, but your question ruffled my feathers. I do not like Laura in the CEO position.
stairway to hell
licenses (eBay search patent license, for example) or licensee's (new company)?
And wouldn't an 8k have to be filed for a new licensee?
I believe the eBay search license has already been accounted for in the 10k, since they mentioned a payment was made a few days after that was signed.
Lowe's is running ads with TAG, commercials and print
If your theory is correct then we should see another licensee before the next 10q. Didn't Zima say in the next 10q there will be more payments made, or is this just my wishful thinking?
Another road bump for them
I don't think competition is wondering if Neom does have the patents, unless you're referring to us shareholders as the competition.
If we had them then wouldn't we have pulled the trigger on patent licensing at least a year ago and tried to corner the indirect and direct markets, well after our competition was destroying us with direct code usage?
To me, it's just more hype. Pop said it well in that we knocked direct for so long only to discover we have to go to direct to even compete.
That is a big question and I think the answer is yes...the bigger question is can the current leadership team execute a plan with measurable and positive results and actually compete within the market?
It's going to take Neomedia a while to convince me that they have the resources, the right team and capability to do so.
There were no false starts, there were cleaverly crafted PR's, interviews, SEC filings which led us to believe Neom had merit. To name a few (I'm sure others can add plenty to this list):
Of course it's our fault. Let's break it down:
Neomedia: can't produce rev, can't sustain operations, can't communicate to shareholders, can't hire permanaent leadership, has no control over it's financier, put all eggs into Neustar Clearinghouse, last to adopt direct, getting crushed by competitors for marketshare, and total disregard for shareholders that don't have 'the most to lose'.
YA & friends: dump shares at ask when ever they want, flood the market with cheaper shares permitting day traders to get back on board.
Us: giving up and getting sick of listening to all the BS about Neom educating the market and not producing any results = sell

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this, I'm really not understanding why they are paying down interest on a 13% loan, when they could have taken the 2 mil and paid off principal and interest on at least 2, possibly 3 smaller loans at a 15% rate, which would have reduced the debt the same amount and prevented more interest from accruring in coming months.
Can anyone help me understand the benefit of doing it the way they did?
thanks Krays, I wonder why they are paying on that one first?
Also, Debenture Neom 9-4 had about a 30k reduction on principal on 1/14.
Is this it?
Seeing how there's not much industry statistics and competitors within the market are keeping mum on their own success/failures then to me it's kind of scary that our buisness plan is based on something with little merit out there.
That's the thing, she's a marketer not a business leader. I don't believe she does understand what those controls are and she relies to heavily on Zima and O'Leary when it comes to the financials.
She's acting in the capacity of a VP of communications...if she is going to stay CEO then she needs to act in the capacity of a CEO. Focus on building the company within the market, and not building the market around the company. Perfect example is the Neustar clearinghouse...she was a part of that so perhaps she should learn from the mistake and move forward.
A: successful results and ROI
Every single business everywhere is focused on building a profitable company and Neom is in the best position in many years b/c 2d barcodes are actually being integrated within marketing campaigns....but that doesn't mean Neom is taking off with the market.
Paying down debt
This is what I've been able to decifer so far as to how much Neom actually paid down:
Looking back over the 8ks, NEOM-9-4 Debenture is the only one since 9/29 to have a principal reduction. I didn't go beyond that. It's as follows:
As of 12/14, per 8k exhibit 10-6
Prin: $294,000
Int: $87,771.18
Total: $381,771.18
As of 1/10, per 8k exhibit 10-6
Prin: 258,035.80
Int: $90,813.82
Total: $348,849.62
The principal has since remained the same all the way through today's filing.
Thoughts???? I'm guessing roughtly 36k of eBay license fee went to this debenture as payment. Why this debenture? Am I right with what I'm assuming?
Road, it was nice to hear they made payments towards debt, but we don't know how much the payments were, they never mentioned that - why??? In the whole scheme of things the 2 payments could have been a fraction of the loan amount, and it will only be replaced by another loan in coming months. Until we can determine the amount paid or how they can manage to earn money and pay debt without reporting it anywhere, then it's irrelevant really.
Saying sorry about the past doesn't mean anything, she's been on the board for 2 years, watched, voted for and did nothing to prevent everything that has happened up to this point. Sorry doesn't cut it in alot of shareholders books.
Marriott is a marketer, a pretty good one. She's not CEO calibur. The marketing direction may be figured out and on a positve outlook thanks to her with the help of some decent hires, but everything else with running a business (cash flow, financing) seems to be under the control of Zima and O'Leary. Gag.
I'm sure Neom might actually get on the right track this year, but it's at my expense, your expense and every other shareholders expense that's been invested prior to this point.
I hope you can continue to find hope, because you're one of the select few left that still has it. Best of luck, I hope your optimism pays off for you.
If what I heard was correct, and what you're saying is correct about an elected board appointing a full-time CEO...and the timing of her saying she's becoming full-time CEO and Neom's need for another loan....I will not be surprised to see an 8k giving ridiculous terms and voting rights to YA to elect the board so they can appoint Laura as CEO.
Maybe far feached dot connecting, but based on their history and 'way of doing business' perhaps it not too far feached.
I believe it was the 2nd to last question, I was multi-tasking at the time (b/c the entire call was crap) and can almost swear she said she would remain full-time CEO and O'Leary will be part-time COO.
Can anyone else credit or discredit what I thought I heard?
If she does become permanent, then doesn't an 8k need to be filed for executive changes?
Based on the PPS plummet, I am confident in saying no one at Neomedia is responsible to the shareholder.
Pop, what are your overall thoughts?
Does it really matter at this point? By the time the case even gets to the point of judgement this technology will be outdated and irrelevant. We'll be dead long before.
Son of a Bi$ - she's staying at CEO.
Did I hear that right???
Looks like I'm going to have to take this call with a grain of salt, I mean, a truck load of salt blocks.
Hard to believe most of these questions were actually submitted by shareholders, common shareholders at least. They are to forward looking.
Where and when are these 2 debt payments found in the filings? They are really highlighting these 2 payments.
Anyone know how to begin looking for this???
Who knows, but I like how they're answering questions which have no solid answer.
These questions they're answering are such BS, seriously...how are we targeting teenagers????? WTF. Answer questions about why this company sucks so much!!!!
