The MM position is growing daily also. It will take weeks of 5-10mm buy side volume to burn through it. The price will move up during but the big move will need to run their inventory low.
I have patience. Also picked up 2k shares at 14.
Gotcha. I have the Jan 35c. If yours go itm them I am buying drinks :)
You have the Jan 50c? Right? I like your price target :)
Do you have a rough price target?

2.2mm yesterday! Better considering the blowout.
A bit of positive PR would help for sure. The buyers are almost non existent. At least my other investments are smoking hot now. Enjoy the weekend.
Well respectfully I hope you are wrong. Will bet you a beer :)
That seems a bit lofty but it wouldn't be upsetting. It will be interesting to see how Monday opens. The $30b number I saw floating around is near $43 a share steep but can see compelling arguments for it. Anything north of $30 p/s is gravy to most though.
Rob from mkm and Bob from suntrust have egg on their face. Both have price targets of $18 and $18.50.
Here comes Bob from sun trust. He will crap all over it again!
The 50mm shares short may play into today's close. Would not be good going into a weekend short.
I like your number better
Minimum initial bid IMO will be the original IPO of $26. Hoping for a bid war and a short squeeze. I would be scared right now as a short who based my DD on analyst opinions.
Where is our resident moron from sun trust now?
Yes!!! Own both the stock and Jan calls. First SRPT, now this.
Finally!!! My Jan calls may payoff after all
Pre market is starting off ugly. A positive PR from Jack on yesterday's NFL game would offset this RBS downgrade.
In these small volumes they are trading from their own account. Guessing they have a ton at low prices. They can also short very different from the typical investor. I have seen about 4 MMs on this listing. You seen otherwise?
There is a lot of caution built into the current price. Allows for stronger pops when good news comes in. The q3 cc will be very interesting. I am putting odds of a foreign transaction at 70% in next 6 months.
Our friend at sun trust usually pipes in around 19.5 to 20. He has a vested interest in his 18 price target
They can't hear it if nobody is telling them. There is a reason good CEOs and/or their staff go to investor meetings or meetings where media will help tell their story. Look, I believe in what they are doing, I just don't like how they are handling it. It is an objective viewpoint and it is ok to praise and criticize.
Someone earlier made the point that nobody heard of ELTP outside of i hub. While that may be extreme it is a point understood. Getting the word out is a good thing. It isn't a pump, it is prudent management.
Like I said, to get new investors you need to let people know you exist. That PR and/or communication plan includes who you are, what you do, why you are great at it, your strategic plan, your progress on the plan and the future. This is something that good CEOs and/or their team do. With no new investors it is easy to walk the pps down which is what is happening today.
Fair point. That being she can create the plan and the boss can enable her.
Welcome back :). What is your take on these buyback trades? I have a concern with a lack of growth investing but I think it may be the unfortunate pivot point due to poor choices.
Yep, it is called PR. They are not doing a good job at it. It doesn't have to be great milestones but rather, who is ELTP, what are they doing, where are they on their strategic plan and what does the future hold. Waiting for deals and major milestones keeps potential new investors away because they will never hear of us. How this is not obvious is baffling to me.
Any thoughts on the era of buy backs and how long it may last? It seems unfortunate that the best deployment of capital is oneself.
A few puts might help pre CC.
With their cash they can do something fantastic but as you said, stuck in the mud. They have said next to nothing about their AI acquisition as well.
Jack needs to get ahead of this and share his vision and strategy with investors. He is consistently behind the curve on this. Proactive vs reactive!
Simple supply and demand. No buyers lowers price equilibrium. No buyers will come in an information vacuum. Still don't know what Diane does all day.
We were talking about SRPT, not ELTP.
Agree. Up another 10% today and has a price target of $88. My guess is that they did the FCF of sales. Typical FCF analyses are 5 years out. Most M&A work is done on that timeline. We used the same when we bought MBNA for our DD. Given that this isn't M&A you wouldn't add in cost synergies so it usually sticks with sales rather than EBITA.
Gotcha. Thank you as usual.
In your experience and/or educated opinion is there a typical known lag to the time between issuance and publishing?
I did my master's thesis on the Arbitrage Pricing Theory which is along the same lines. Public opinion and regulatory behavior often runs counter to the common sense presented in both. That being said, getting public opinion to place pressure on ADF approval would be a severe benefit to us. The momentum due to White House stated objectives as well as the unfortunate publicity of public figures passing from the same can only help. Others better understand the inner workings of the FDA but I am guessing they are receiving pressure as we speak. The only counter to that is the well funded lobby of ELTP's competition which may impact this as well.
Yes, that is accurate. The public was clearly for this and the FDA was going to lose in their eye if they didn't. The kids on TV and the parents talking about wanting it anyways due to "quality of life" reasons made it obvious.
Had never heard of that company but had a big win with SRPT yesterday. Played the options only though. Better risk / reward. Have 200k shares of ELTP but don't expect much from it until late this year or early next. Anything before is a bonus.
Couldn't agree more.
Not sure what will work on this but it is good to see they are open minded and trying different things. The blood and treasure we have spent on the "war on drugs" is astronomical and ongoing.
Hope they find something soon. Seen the effect on people in the shelters I work at. Very sad!
