Brian K.
here's where I am tonight -
I researched the subbers (DIAAF and LSMJ), but I think it's a tough call, I'll have to watch opening bids, but I think LSMJ is a great pick up if you can get it for .0002. btw, I've been watching BKMP and I think it's a good lotto pick if you can get it @ .0002 as well.
I researched all the stocks were tracking, ran the candlesticks and volume, etc.
I think RGNO again, is the most poised for a run-up. It's sitting @ .029, .02 is the all-time floor, but it hasn't been there in a while, in fact, it's not been to .029 in a while...should see some major action this week. Candlesticks are inconclusive as of tonight...
NXNO is looking poised as well as NVMG for another run.
These are my picks - now I'm getting some sleep, because I am wasted tired...
I've got a couple subbers I'm researching tonight that had a good week so far and I think could be good investments. I especially like DIAAF.OB. I missed the 100% run today - I couldn't get my stock sold @ the right price unfortunately, but I think it's a good run long-term and can be had @ .0005 probably still. I wouldn't buy too early as it's due a correction soon. It has it's fingers in a few industries but they are related and I especially like it's non-PVC food film which can used as suran wrap on foods, box-outs, etc. The company jumped on news that San Francisco was requiring all stores to rid itself of plastic bags and use environmental friendly bags, which DIAAF makes. I like environmental companies - anyway - check it out and see what you think. DIAAF's board is pretty slow - seems like the jump took most people by surprise.
LSMJ.pk is another one that I'm researching - Lease Smart. 200% jump today, but I think it's less poised than DIAAF is. They are into a lot of different leasing and financial options, which, honestly, has struggled lately. But it's a subber to keep an eye on.
I'm hoping to have enough time tonight after the family goes to bed, since Heroes is still running re-runs until April, to do the candlestick analysis again and see what you guys think. Happy trading and Happy posting. I had a good day today, I hope for an even better week!!!
Good luck to all!
paretty slow day today. I think everyone is waiting for the OTC uptick. As it is, we'll just have to be patient.
ya - all the trades I see are washes - no real action unless the bid goes up!
me too... but maybe he's more speaking to the future, then to what the condition is right now. Seeing as how he's just doing bid, I don't think we'll see him here for long...just a hunch....
four bid's are holding @ .001, asks are @ .0011, 3 @ .0012, and 1 @ .0014, after that it's 3 cents and up. Hope that helps. I tried to cut and paste but it messed up so I think this will tell you what you want to know.
The bid's have moved up recently, I wouldn't be surprised to see an afternoon run up.
quarter should close @ the end of March - I'd expect them by the middle of April...
I was going to post the same thing - but I think it was a wash - a buy/sell by an MM to stir up activity, but nothing really happened. I think everyone is trying to figure out where the spread is and the volume it has. It'll levelize soon...
it only reduces when they "retire" those shares if they just buy them back to hold them then they are still outstanding.
I wouldn't read too much into it. I've noticed guys float in and out @ different times, while other MM's park themselves with Bid/Ask spreads for months @ a time. It is true, that in order to be able to short they also have to have long positions - maybe he's getting out of being an MM for CHNW, etc. There are a lot of possibilities. I've noticed the rule that they have to have long positions when they have short positions doesn't play out as static as I would like it to. They don't just pop in one day with bid/ask spreads and then leave later with both dropping off the board @ the same time. Sometimes they accumulate stock first, then they are MM's then they bleed off stock, etc...If he stays on the ASK for several days then I might look into it a little bit deeper...
volume is picking up too - it should be a good afternoon - let's get ready for quite a ride!!
ya - I'm not showing any activity on L2's - just be patient - it'll take a few days.
GOOD MORNING ALL!!
We had a good close yesterday - Let's hope for a good day!
I thought the message from CHNW was good - but you just never know what will send it over the top...I hope so - I'm tired of watching that stupid thing ping between 10-11-12.
Happy trading to all!!
not much action here today - I might look @ the candlesticks again tonight, but I've got a very very busy week.
CHNW has GOT to move sometime...btw, a lot of surprises for me today. CIVX looked surprisingly strong for it's first day of trading and EVSA is making a rebound.
Any ideas of plays you guys are working this week?
It's tough to tell with PK's - it's not like the BB where momentum has a much larger base - but it definitely is looking strong, which surprises me after such a crazy couple of weeks. I like the direction though and I LOVE the fact, however painful that it was, that the pumpers and dumpers got run off. I'd like to see this thing make a good climb...
guys I'm heading out for the afternoon - won't be back until the end of the weekend. Let me know if anything exciting happens...I'm going to be installing a new chandalier in our bedroom this weekend and installing 4 recessed lights so pray that I don't electricute myself. peace -
It doesn't look like shorts are covering - way too many rumors in this business. Watching the opening positions is the clearest way to see what the MM's are expecting. They rarely change their mind mid-stream unless they are just overwhelmed by the reaction to a really strong PR. You can't rush into a stock trading PKs - you'll be stuck holding the bag a lot of the time. Let's see if CHNW rallies in the afternoon...
btw - I've learned everything from watching BJT and Strong! they are my idols...American idols.
I'll look into it and get back to you on it. I have a few ideas of why this might happen, but I'd have to look at it specifically to see what has happened. A couple things can cause that - sometimes MM churn their own stock making it look like transactions are taking place and increasing volume, but it's not really effecting anything. Additionally, when a stock is hot there is a group of people who take advantage of the volatility. Buy @ .0055, sell @ .0060, wait for it to drop and keep doing the same thing. It may not seem like much money, but @ a couple hundred bucks a pop it adds up day after day. When this stock took the dip I think a lot of those traders took off. The bid/ask spreads have been aweful - you can't have a a bid/ask of .002/.0028 and expect much to happen. The MM's, much like us, are not too confident with what to do with this stock, so it has a huge spread they don't want to get caught with the bag and their trying to pry out the holds out who will finally sell for a huge loss. I think once the spread closes volume, liquidity will pick back up...The other thing is that there haven't been many PR's recently - new information sparks interest and increases liquidity. I don't think this lull will hold - just the quiet before the storm. But yes, it has been really quiet. The spread is the biggest thing that I can conbtribute it too as well as people being once bitten, twice shy. Just a thought...
I think he said fines, not interest. I'll still have to pay daily interest, but not fines. There is a difference - am I right?
it's starting to really churn nicely now - It actually broke out a little quicker than I thought it would. I hope it has enough strength to finish out the week strong. It's nice to end on an up note...
I actually think we close low today - .0021 range...the MM's didn't want to shake off that position yesterday and I expect them to try to hold their ground...but I do see a slow climb over the next week or two. It's a good buying opportunity.
good morning - not sure about shorts covering? - the CUSSIP is less than 2 weeks away, so it could happen. I'll wait to see what the opening positions are -
I have an estimated taxes question. I've called the IRS numerous times and been given all the info about estimating how much I'm going to make this year and doing quarterly payments. Since each quarter will be drastically different they advised me to use a form 2210 and a schedule AI to explain why I sent in different amounts each quarter...etc...yada yada yada. So I filled out the 1040-ES for estimated taxes and figured I might owe about 5000-6000 in Capital gains taxes this upcoming year in 2007. Except, near the end, it says how much did you have to pay last year in total taxes? My answer is $611.00. I have huge deductions (5 kids, house payment, etc) and the 1040-ES says, just make sure that you contibute atleast the amount you had to pay last year to avoid any penalties. Well, my work has already taken out $1300 this year in taxes, so does that mean that I won't get fined if I don't do Estimated taxes and I'll only have to pay back interest, which is okay with me because I'm making more off reinvesting it than sending it in quarterly? Does any one have lots of experience with Capital gains and estimated taxes?
btw, I finally bucked up and paid the 89.95 for a full year membership, so I have unlimited posts. I might start a new board titled "No thanks to Granddaddy Mac" where we can vent after a bad day and then reserve this board for uplifting and informative information. We could use the "No thanks" board for all of our boyish humor at times as well. :) Did you know that Walt Disney has a building in the middle of their "complex" called the positive room. It's where they brainstorm and come up with ideas. If anyone says anything negative or that something can't be done, then they kick them out of the building and won't let them be negative in the positive building. It's only a place for positive thinking in order to not squelch ideas but bring them to the surface...interesting. but I regress...
I went ahead a did a some candlestick charting on our picks and I tell you - it's probably more feel than science. I can look at it one way and it's a Bearish Harami and I can look it smaller scale and it's a Harami Cross (Bullish) so I'm doing this more in the name of fun then any sort of guidance to anyone - PLEASE DO NOT INVEST YOUR COLLEGE TUITION ON MY "ANALYSIS". If anything, bet opposite. I thought this would be a fun way of testing some technicals in general, testing my technicals in specific, and just an all around good time. I could start using all these terms and sound very professional, I think Garr would even be impressed with me...I betcha he reads this post... :) To the predictions:
ALRY - If you look @ the day as a whole - it appears to be a textbook example of a Bearish Harami on the way down. It's had quite a run-up and it seems to be headed the other direction. Looking @ the close I'd say there are the inclings of a Harami Cross or maybe a slight turn around. So, my suspicions is that the MM's are going to win this one and it's headed down, but I'd watch the opening bell, if it opens up, it might have made the turn around for a day or two (I still think it's correcting in the long-run), but if it opens low I'd get out, and wait to get back in.
CHNW - signs of a Bullish Marubozu - seems to have upticked - again, look @ the opening positions, but I think it might go on another run up soon (whatever that means, I'm no technical guru!). Not too far - but maybe uptick another point or two.
RGNO - Classic Example of a Harami Cross looks to have hit a floor, will find resistance @ 0.003, but I think it's going up some tomorrow - if it pushes through .003 then it should be a nice gain
NVMG - still forming, if it opens up and moves above .01, then It will definitely form a Bullish Harami - watch it @ the opening bell though - resistance @ .01 if it opens low, I think it's dropping a good bit, look to get out and back in @ a lower price floor - might push past .009 all the way to .008 - don't jump back in too early (I sound so knowledgable - is anyone impressed or fooled??)
HESG - no call - too difficult to tell - you are on your own - it's "still forming" The lucky 8 ball says, "Future cloudy - too difficult to read"
KMCP - No call here either - it has a Harami cross which is bullish, but volume is so dismal that it doesn't mean much...volume's not there to show anything - back to the magic 8 ball...
TRNP - no call - no sign, it's forming a rebound, near the low, but too little volume. I don't think it would be a bad long play, but no technicals to throw out there...
PMCL - no call - too early to tell - same story @ TRNP - forming rebound, it might happen soon, but too little volume.
NXNO - all signs are bearish
XSBV - too little volume
NWOG - look @ the opening price - if it breaks above .05 then it's definitely bullish, some bullish signs are showing now, but it's still to early to tell - "candles are incomplete"
EQBM - if it had more volume I'd say bullish - but too little volume.
PDGT - looks to have bottomed - no activity - probably no movement until a PR - but I think it's not going anywhere soon.
CIVX - no data - no call. I just hope it stays in the market!
EVSA - no call - no technicals to help, was bearish, now it seems to have bottomed out some - good long play, but it might dip some more in the meantime.
WRNW - looks sorta stagnated - huge bid/ask spread - probably bullish right now, but how can you tell with that spread?? no call on WRNW as of yet...
So I think this probably leaves you no better than I found you, but I had a good time doing the research. If I have to do some picks I'd say a drops for NXNO, ALRY and EVSA, upticks for RGNO and CHNW. Not big movements for any of them, but I see small downticks for NXNO, ALRY and EVSA and small upticks for RGNO and CHNW. That being said, I really like all 5 companies long-term.
So those are myu 5 picks for Friday - let me know tomorrow afternoon how I do and if I need to quit my day job...
I'm going to be out of touch some this weekend - I might post Saturday night, but probably won't until Sunday. I'm leaving midday on Friday, so I won't even know how the market closes. I'm hoping for green!!
thanks - I'm happy to be here - btw, I tend to write long posts...just store that away for future reference. :)
Incidentally, the interview with the CEO has been added above in the info - I think it's a good listen for all.
Great post Clever Mathematician and excellent spelling of your name as well. I'm still here and "YES", I did loose money on stock as I also have made money in the past. In the near term, I don't see this being a stock positioned for a huge short squeeze - but I do think it's a legitimate PK stock (though it's no GE, why else do you think it's a PK stock), it has an excellent market and business plan, and I think it's going to take some bumps as it rises over the next couple of years. Honestly, we were ALL taken off guard by the R/S and there is a lot of frustration and hurt associated with that. I, for one, had whiplash from thinking it was about to make a large run again to seeing it reverse, but that is part of investing. I don't have a problem with people venting here, though I do suggest that once Monday roles around let's deal with the future and move on.
Some excellent things that we have going for us:
There has been a conversation with the CEO who is committed to growing the company and making it profitable. Additionally, we do know that funds will have to be raised in the future (some of that is probably already now factored into the price) and that can be a good thing as far as growth potential and expanding of product lines.
I've mentioned it before on other boards, not that it makes me anything, but I did graduate with a 4.0 in Finance, and I'm a financial analyst with years of experience in stock. One thing that I like about this company and others that I am invested in is that they have a clear business model and they are pursuing it. It drives me crazy to find a stock that is invested in Uranium mining only for them to release a PR where they are going to additionally build condo's in the Caribbean. It's like they don't know what they want or what they are doing and it makes for bad investment of the limited capital that PK stocks have. Envirosafe is not as far along the growth line as some of us might think - but it has great potential and direct path that it is pursuing in an attempt to be successful. Let's not freak out if we hear anything about diluting stock in the near future, because it seems to be already factored into the price - the market is forward looking. We'll monitor all dilution, but as has been stated numorous times, any dilution hurts the CEO WAY more than it hurts us @ this point. He's not looking for a quick buck and probably the only people that are still around aren't either.
That being said: I'm happy to have you all on this board. Everyday is a lesson.
I would like to be an assistant...
btw - that was me selling a fraction of my holdings to get the bid up higher. @ that point it was .0021 - I brought it up to .0028 selling 75000 shares, but nobody was willing to bring it higher. The last hour I lowered to .0027 and then to .0026. I could see SBSH lower his offer as I lowered, so I'm assuming he was holding my order. There was no movement, so I cancelled. Should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. It appears that the MM's are unwilling to go higher than .0021, though they did buy the 75000 @ .0028. Maybe tomorrow will be different.
Man, I'm sure a lot of people are frustrated and nobody wants to loose money - but personal attacks against Fringe is not helping. Fringe has been around a long time - he's done a lot of posts and they are his opinion. He's not a MM stooge guy who just shows up when a stock is running and tries to drive down the price. He's stuck with stocks through thick and thin and he posts his opinion. quite frankly you get what you pay for - His opinion is free. He's just calling it as he sees it because people ARE ASKING. He's not supplying unsolicited information. You can't ask him his opinion and then chastize him for what he thinks. Let's not turn against each other. We are all trying to figure out what to do with the stocks we have, what the new floor is, and what the CEO is thinking. Just settle down everyone - I assure you, it's not helping.
Let's make this board what it was designed to do - a forum for discussing EVSA and figuring out how to play this stock and not get screwed by the MM's.
theoretically it is trading, but no MM's have picked it up. I can put in a buy order through Ameritrade, but since there are no MM's it just sits there waiting to be filled. I don't know how to get MM's to pick it up...perhaps a company announcement.
I've just my L2's - can anyone tell me what they are?
good - I've got a new trading strategy seems to be working some - time will tell. I'll let you know if it works out!
sell if you got it, it will dip, and then you can buy back in...it's low volume so it won't stick - it's just a MM trying to prop the price up....IMHO
good posts so far - saw you over @ CHNW today. your doing a good job - patience is a good thing in this game, ummhhh, I mean occupation. :)
Good to have you aboard!
If you can get out around the 30's then I'd sell. It's probably going to settle somewhere around 30 today then stagnate for a while - perhaps being slowly driven down by the shorts over the next couple of days. Anytime you can pull of 60-80% profits - cash out and take your money. you can always get back in, but everything retreats after a run-up. Don't play the what if game - you'll end up loosing more than if you just stuck to your strategy. I noticed it's down a little bit, was in the 30's then it was in the high 20's now it's in the mid twenties. If you can get 28-29 then I'd sell. It'll probably rebound late in the day - around 3:30, but people have psychological ceilings as well. Meaning probably a lot of people are thinking - "when this thing gets to 30 - I'm selling", so set your ceiling a little bit lower. If you bought in @ .0016, then I'd go ahead and put a sell order in @ .0028 and you can adjust it later if it never makes it up to 28. just a thought. Small gains is a great way to start!
you're probably pretty close - you wouldn't do bad to watch it for a while though - maybe see if it dips to .0016 again, it's up to .0034 now. a lot of times it psychological, but floors like to establish @ whole numbers, especially, something volatile like this. I'm freeing up $1,000.00 to throw into it.
We might have already missed to big dip - that's okay though, don't chase it.
I hate to tell everyone, but if you were planning on the price being @ .0033, then you're already high - this joker is opening @ .0026...that's the L2's. Happy trading. It could be a very volatile day as the new price is determined...If we're going to be trading @ these levels - my advice is just to keep your stock. that's what I'm doing. MM's will have to adjust to the market - I wouldn't sell that low and force the price up to a more reasonable level, it's not like the company has diluted shares yet...or anything.
this bid/ask spread should be criminal...aren't they supposed to be Market MAKERS??? I wish some of these MM's would move along - nothing to see here.
