Los Angeles-Based AIDS Research Alliance Selected as Site
ATLANTA, June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GeoVax Labs, Inc. (OTCQB/OTCBB: GOVX), a biotechnology company that creates, develops and tests innovative HIV/AIDS vaccines, announced today the opening of a third site for testing the therapeutic potential of its HIV/AIDS vaccine. The Los Angeles-based AIDS Research Alliance (ARA) will join with two existing members of GeoVax's clinical trial site team: the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta and the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The ARA is the nation's only independent, nonprofit HIV/AIDS research institute.
The therapeutic trial is the first trial to test the GeoVax vaccine as a possible treatment for HIV-infected people. Studies with simian prototypes of the vaccine in infected non-human primates have demonstrated the ability to control viral replication in the absence of anti-viral drugs. The clinical trial in HIV-infected patients will test safety, vaccine-induced immune responses and the ability of the vaccine to control viral replication.
"We are excited to expand our therapeutic trial team to include the AIDS Research Alliance," said Mark Newman, PhD, Vice President of Research and Development at GeoVax. "They are a group with a mission that parallels that of GeoVax, developing a vaccine to prevent infection by HIV and developing better treatments for those who become infected."
Dr. Stephen Brown, ARA's medical director, said, "The ARA leadership is very familiar with the GeoVax HIV vaccine products through our involvement with the HVTN, and we are excited to participate in this clinical trial. The development of new products and approaches that build upon existing antiretroviral drugs regimens would be a major breakthrough."
To be eligible for the study, potential volunteers must have started antiretroviral therapy within 18 months of a negative HIV antibody test and must remain on stable antiretroviral therapy for six months prior to receiving their first dose of the vaccines. Multiple potential candidates, identified through the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta and the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic, are currently in the six-month antiretroviral therapy period and the vaccination segment of the clinical trial will soon be initiated.
The GeoVax vaccines are currently being tested in HIV-uninfected persons in a Phase 2 clinical trial by the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN). The HVTN trials are funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a division of the National Institutes of Health. The therapeutic trial is the first GeoVax trial designed to test these vaccines as a treatment for HIV-infected persons.

Thank you for that reply, and not too worry my feelings have never been hurt by Charles .. I am an investor, In many aspects of this life . I take risk on my own accord and do not blame others for my own decisions..
You have some sound points and I'm sure we will wait and see together .. Have a great night . And "BLADE" you have a great day!!
Jesss.. I agree with you 100% on where this company should be .. And I have a lot of respect for Charles and investors on this board. But at some point Charles needs to move some product . It's not that I'm giving Charles 4 days ..He has had many Years and I know that this looks like it is a new great deal ..And I hope that it is . But over the years in all Charles emails ,Personal letters and phone calls that I have had with him about deals just like this one. I'm sorry to say it does not materialize. I'm not a basher or pumper have not flipped this stock one time ..So if Charles is worth his salt this time and we really do have something ..Hurray for us ..Lets hope for the best .. But understand that we set at sub pennies for many years because of these kind of releases with no results … good luck too all
I so hope you are correct.
Steve Schneider: 1) Yes there were several questions that came in from the shareholders. Question was raised about the reverse split that will be voted on at the shareholders’ meeting on June 20th, 2011. Why do we need to do a reverse split and how much will the split be?
Answer: There are a number of reasons ZAP is considering a reverse stock split. These reasons are outlined in detail in ZAP’s recently filed proxy statement. One significant reason is that ZAP plans to list its shares on NASDAQ in the second half of 2011, pending approval of the reverse stock split of course at the shareholders’ meeting and approval of ZAP’s Board of Directors. In order to do so, ZAP would need to affect a reverse split to satisfy the minimum share price of US$4 required for listing on Nasdaq. The ratio of the reverse split will depend on ZAP’s share price at the time we affect the reverse split. "REALLY STEVE ARE YOU FROM ANOTHER PLANET .. WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY THIS AT 4.00 IMO"

MOP Environmental is Courted by Giant Middle East Company

Historical Stock Chart

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MOPN) announces Saudi Aramco - World's Largest Oil Company, to Test MOP, Maximum Oil Pickup
Customers might not expect the world's largest Oil Company to be taking an interest in a small New Hampshire business that specializes in oil spill cleanup and recovery products, but MOP Environmental Solution's patented MOP Maximum Oil Pickup sorbents are on their way to Saudi Arabia where they will be tested by the world's largest oil company Saudi Aramco in anticipation of a visit by MOP representatives to the Middle East oil giant's home turf for a full scale presentation of the MOP product's capabilities.
To facilitate the presentation MOP Company officials received the offer from a middle east commercial powerhouse group to arrange for a visit by MOP Environmental Solutions' representatives as their guests to make a presentation to Saudi Aramco and the appropriate Saudi Government Agencies and decision makers pursuant to their desired franchise of MOP products in the Middle East and North Africa.
"We are very enthusiastic about our multiple opportunities through the Saudi's. They are connected to a vast network of global commercial interests and all the nationalized oil producing states throughout the Middle East," said MOP CEO and President Charles Diamond.

Unfortunately if Charles doesn't come up with some sales you are going to be able to average a longs ways down in about four days
IMO
As one of mop's original investors , and who for the most part has backed Charles for more over 6 years. Through numerous phone calls and emails. I understood why he was cautious with BP. Knowing that there was a possibility that they would not pay there bills and that this could do great damage to such a small company like mop, and I believe BP did leave a lot of people holding the bag.
With that being said , I have to agree that it has been to many years of great deals that are just on the horizon , and though have been willing to be patient. If no sales result from this latest venture , I believe we will see sub. Pennies once again ..
What I don't understand. If you have been here for over a year. There was plenty of time to sell in the .25 thru .33 range . So now you are asking people to feel sorry for you ,because you decided to hold.
excellent question.. I would like to hear that piece of wisdom myself.
