I don't see how ppl can argue against the idea of mandatory testing. It not only benefits the individual themselves, but also benefits society and the community as a whole. The benefits completely outweight the chance of increased discrimination. Only my opinion.

Article released June 4th mentioning Calyptes BED test. Sorry can't afford the $3. Need it to purchase 37 more shares of CBMC.
I think we have all come to realize the SFDA follows no time line. I'm sure they will get back to Calypte whenever they "feel like it". According to an earlier statement:
'Once we submit any requested materials to the CDE, they have 30 working days to process the supplemental materials and make a decision (accept, reject, request additional info, or schedule for later review)'
So if they submitted in early May, this would come to somewhere in mid June...but like I said who knows with the SFDA.
Surely blood as 12 dollars and can purchase this report. I think he gets .15 for every negative comment he posts, so that's only 80 posts.

30 billion is a lot of money. Surely some of this will be spent on testing. You would hope some would trickle into a company like Calypte.
Cato, why are you here? If you don't believe the company will succeed...sell your shares and move on. Frustration in not the sign of a well-to-do investor. Don't fall in love with your shares. Just some advice.
Agreed, well appreciated!
Good CC, wasn't expecting to hear too much but I was greeted with BIG plans. Can they make these plans happen? That's yet to be seen.
"Since the beginning of 2007, we have hired full-time sales and marketing employees to market our existing products"
Never saw these openings posted on their website. Hopefully they got some experienced sales people who can actually sell. So far - not so good. I wonder what the sales process involves? What they really need to do is professionalize their website, which is a major thing potential customers probably would first look at.
I don't think it means anything, it most likely simply allows the new UAE investors to listen in to the conference call. If it was held at the usually time (2pm Pac) that would be some where around 1 or 2 am in the UAE I believe. This way a 6 am call will be somewhere around 5 or 6 pm in the UAE. Again, I hope to hear some decent questions if a Q and A is available, I would love to hear Blood call in - He has a bunch of good questions.
This way they can get the conference call over with and take a half day of work by leaving at noon.
I don't recall that date ever being mentioned. Would be a good question to ask during the CC. I hope we actually hear some decent callers. I am limited to only hearing these in replay and can't call in during their cc hours.
That's weak blood. You already know the answer to 1st qtr sales. You've always been good at decieving others.
From CC:
"We have already noted that we focused our limited management and financial resources during the first quarter of 2007 on China and on negotiating and completing the financing that will give us the working capital to finance sales growth as well as the ability to proceed on our journey. As a result of all of these factors, sales in our first quarter of 2007 will not be significant. We expect them to be below the comparable period of 2006."
How do you know they didn't? Simply because they didn't release anything. This company is known to do things without issuing PRs, who knows what goes through their minds. I would be extremely surprised if they didn't. Call Tim C. up and ask. Thanks in advance
Never heard of this guy. Did he recently work for Calypte?

Strange that they appear to be "trying" to sell these products even though they are yet to be approved.
Its hard to understand people like this. I can at least respect Reads posts because they are intellectual. Obviously qtr 1 results are already priced into todays market for Calytpe. Everyone knows they are going to be obsolete - no surprise there. However, they could come out with new projections, approvals, sales, etc. I really don't see this going back down unless they are unable to receive approval in China. Possibility of good news definately outweighs possibility of bad news.
Looks great, do you have an issue with it? You sound sarcastic in your post, I hope you don't expect it to go up everyday.
Who cares? You have time to look through thousands of old posts? Sad.....mark me down as a fool from Wisco.
The link worked fine for me - all pages. You need to navigate throught them.
I agree, that is what I stated "two years ago" was May of 05 and it was published in november 06. No discrepancies between us. The issue of the patent really needs to be brought up and questioned to management.
Thanks OR, lots of good information in there. Looks like it was filed 2 years ago and recently published back in Nov of 2006. I agree, this seems to be only an application. If they were issued this patent, it would be extremely good news - covers many countries.
"We are convinced that there is 99% chance that this company will fail."
-this is definately not true of myself. I would not have a long position in a stock that I am 99% sure will fail.
Yes, it is an incentive. The shares of TCNH will be given as an addition to your shares you already hold in MRKL. Don't listen to that other poster.
How is this "bad" news as you seem to be implying?
The word 'GAY' seems to be strangely input into the story. Are they saying only Gay experts fear this?
anytime.
I suppose that is when I'll have some extra money, but also I don't see too much news coming out of Calypte until that point: Sounded like a lot of the progress won't be coming until 2nd half of 2007. China surely won't come on board until at least end of May. First qtr results will be terrible (should be released middle of May) -->obviously this shouldn't be news to anyone and shouldn't effect the pps. This stock has a tendancy to trickle down when nothing new is being released. I'll wait until then and see where the price is at. I'm loaded enough in the stock that if it takes off soon I'll be happy without the added shares. Just my opinion, who really knows.
I really like the chart though, need to break through the .07 -.08 resistance.
ERHC Energy Inc. (ERHE.OB)
Looks like they traded more than that. I'm being cynical of course. No idea what you mean by ERHE.
You should step up to the plate and buy some more. I will be, but going to wait until mid May.
Who is Colby?
I don't think the CDC takes sides. Also, it appears as though they simply choice India as a location for random field testing --> No mention of applying for approval there. Also you will note that Orasure doesn't even have a distributor in India. Hopefully the these notes will rub off on Calyptes Aware Oral test.
I guess I took it as good news, I suppose you can take it the other way too.
The good news is that an ORAL test will could become a standard for all field testing. Obviously I wish the news mentioned Calypte and not Orasure, but its a large enough market that if this test becomes a standard they should be able to share in the profit. We know the test isn't exactly 100% accurate. Remember the tests out in SF last year?
Thanks Cato, good news....all though this means OraSure will probably have approval as well.
Say what you want. The 1 month chart on this looks great. Turnaround in process.
Leave Blood alone. He's obviously senile.
News....what's your take on the CC? I'm pretty happy with it, lots of good talk and I sense much more confidence. Can they deliver though? That remains to be seen. I'm much more confident in my investment now then I was a few months ago. The callers were apalling to listen to. That first guy works for an Investment Firm? Was hoping for some better questions. This product will eventually catch on and become a standard for testing. Blood (contagious) VS. Oral (non-contagious)...its an easy choice. Worth the cost to me.
I assume he's calling the guy that called in that.
What is a Maroon?
I suppose, but since the SFDA carried out the initial trials...why wouldn't they have taken care of it at that time? Definately a different world over there.
Can someone explain how a random sampling of the public will help anything? I'm confused as to how something like this works. They take a 1,000 random (low-risk) people and test them. What do they have to compare it to? Lets say they all come back negative. How do they know they are right? wrong? etc? Do they re-test with an existing approved blood test to make sure there are no contradictions? If they do contradict how do they know which test is correct? What is the real test of whether someone has the HIV disease? The blood cell count? Just curious, anyone have any information?
Such a sad 60 year old. I can't imagine your grief.
