RI should just settle this issue. We can all be happy.
Find us a new location. that fits the new rule.
stealth Approve everything.
Pay all costs to transport eqpt.
pay all costs for past rent.
no taxes for 20 years to offset our expenses.
There has got to be a solution here. Don't wait 30 days.. File now.. before the end of the week. Lets do this!
Let's be honest, I think everyone left here is hoping for sub-penny so we can buy.
That's a nice flip. Buy now for 1 cent, sell on the news that SNPW filed an appeal for 3x that.
I doubt it's going that low because I think there's going to be some competition here to scoop those up, but we'll see. I am just holding at this point, though if I had funds, would probably be sitting around hoping for sub penny as well.
I didn't sell any today. In way too deep now. Just hope Nick can deliver.
I do think it was a solid day all things considered.
Wish he'd say something, but I'm sure he's looking at legal options so there may be more silence for the time being.
gonna have to kick it up a nickel for me. Pain and suffering. $1.55 and not a penny less.
Great! Bring it on!
Carter is the one who was taking loans to get him through this, not me. I care about justice and principle, so if it takes years and a protracted battle to get a fair amount, so be it. Carter may have more shares, but I have more time... and the law is on my side.
whatever we do.. we need to go on and do it..
Nick can give the case to the lawyer and let him sort it out. Nick needs to move on and quickly. Time to cash in and use up some of those good news points.
the product looks good enough that it will sell itself. If it has the efficiencies that are advertised, we'll be just fine.
If no one buys them, we can just create and manufacture our own panels for places like Durango and Aus.
"waiting" is not an alert. You don't need to alert us that we're waiting. We know that. Talk to Nick and get some actual news going! UL has been pending forever. RI may not be Nick's fault... but there are people who can get things done, and people who can't. medrecycler didn't get done. If any one of these other projects works out, we'll get back to where we were.. but we need something to work out. There are a lot of dreamers out there. dime a dozen... Let's see if Nick is a guy who can go beyond the dreams and get things done.
That said... appreciate the optimism.. I hope we see something with UL soon.
Yeah no shocker here. congrats to all who got out close to 3 cents.
more volume already than we've seen most days lately. Nice to finally see a healthy bid size, but that's at .023 I imagine it will be gone soon.
A few weeks ago I said that if denial comes we'll likely settle around 2 cents. Doesn't help to be right about losses though. Haven't sold any of mine, but sure wish I had.
We're going to see an early dip as many (like me) were hoping for an approval and hadn't baked it in as much as the market.
Everything the last few weeks pointed to denial (even Denise got quiet.. she knew she'd won)... but I didn't want to believe it... so.. It does seem like the market was ready for this and had priced accordingly, but it's still going to go down.
We'll see a dip this Am, but perhaps a recovery within a few days or weeks, especially if Nick delivers on any one of the things going on.
Props to wallstreet, who months ago suggested that the company should drop the medrecycler stuff in RI, a place where the people don't want us, and move on to greener pastures and better opportunities. He took a lot of heat for that, but he was right.
If you are planning to buy, it seems strange to be pushing so hard for people to hodl and not sell and all that. If someone was buying, they would want lower prices today.
I hope you're able to sell for a good price man.. I don't blame you. Good luck!
lol good luck with that.
A good day for that one. This is tough, but it's just $$$. Meaningless in the end.
Have a good one sir
That's a big 'as long as'... and doesn't include the time and permitting process which could be months or years.
Yeah it was a real setback to get a new governer. Hindsight is 20/20.
Hopefully Gina feels bad about what has happened and hooks us up with some folks in other states. THen again, Nick disrespected the state and I doubt Gina is going to be too excited to stick her neck out for him at this point.
He needs to get some information out there now, and we need contracts now. Some of these things have dragged on for years. That was all fine and good til one thing got rejected. Now he needs to deliver.
I guess all that personal money Nick put up is in jeopardy now... Ugggh
yeah but do we we have the funds to move everything and start from scratch in a new place?
... and if we are able... why didn't we just do it there all along?
Months ago the company said we'd start getting updates and very little has come since then, nor has the Q2 meeting that was planned. I have been as supportive as they come, but I'm not going to paint a rosy picture here.
This was a huge setback We should have been trading at 50 cents tomorrow.
We clearly won't be.
All these other states we've been applying to. We need approval.. like.. right now. We'll see if that was fluff or if there's something to it.
He tried. We'll see if it works. You think it will, but you've been wrong about at least two pretty big things thus far. Hopefully this as well.
I don't care about him getting prosecuted, I just want his actions to be seen for what they are for for any effort to cut us out not to succeed. WE'll see.
NOt going to happen. She won. We just need to move on. She'll never see any negative impact from this, and we just have to accept it. If the landfill does get full, she can just move somewhere else.
You win some you lose some. She won. Stretched the truth and made up some stories to do it, but a win is a win. They won.
We need to suck it up and move on. I was fine with the location while it was a possibility... but now that we're denied, it's easy to sit back and wonder why NIck chose the least business friendly state to try to get this done in.
He needs to move the operation to Georgia and get up and running here in a few months. You can tell what kind of CEO you have when things get tough. Let's see what happens
It depends. Equipment was all set and ready to go. We'll see if Nick can swing some emergency deal and get going in a new location soon.
If so, we do well, as this seems to have been largely priced in over the past few months.
I'm just not excited that everyone seemed to think this was coming except NIck. A few weeks ago this was called the flagship of the company. It's embarrassing to be wrong on something of this magnatude.
Oh great... #20 on the breakout boards.
I guess the only silver lining here (we'll call it a copper lining) is that someone knew about this and maybe it really was already priced in. We traded at $0.34 in January and here we are at $0.03.
The market knew this was DOA and has for a long time. I'd hoped the market was wrong, but it wasn't. Why didn't Nick know? Why didn't his lawyer know?
Nope. Sorry. That is not impressive. That is not great news. Great news would have been approval. Anything less is bad. Sorry, it just is.
I don't care that he's considering action. That's not going to get us anywhere. Rhode Island shut us down and that's that. "An appeal of sorts"??? With what lawyer? The one who said this legislation doesn't apply to us???
Yes.. there are a lot of other things that could be far more lucrative.. but what's happening with them? What has happened with UL and the panels? We waited forever on that, and luckily we had the medrecycler to distract us. Well that's done now... so where is UL approval? Hope that doesn't get denied also!
Not going to be homeless. Hopefully no one is.
Ok time for the company to live up to the hype.. Where are the trucks, where is the Q2 meeting, where are the inked deals on these solar facilities, where is info on Chase.. etc. etc. etc. don't want to hear about legal options in a state that Nick just disrespected (46/50) because that's going to be years of effort amounting to nothing and we're not going to win the case.
Nick was given the benefit of the doubt and it didn't come through. Denise may have been a big part of it, but we didn't even meet the standards for conditional approval. This is a mistake on Nick's part.. either because he didn't anticipate the opposition... or he didn't anticipate the extra work to meet the conditions.
Not saying he's a bad guy, just that it was a mistake. All these years going through this process... and here we are.
They need to deliver big and in a hurry. So what's next Nick? A lot of us held on when it went down because we believed in what the company was saying.
We were told the new legislation doesn't apply. Well.. it does. Even if it didn't.. there are a whole set of new conditions that weren't met.
I guess everyone who was pricing in the denial had the right idea.
Why did he choose to go to Rhode Island if it was such a bad place then?
I get being frustrated but this shouldn't be a huge shock.
Is the state going to refund the co for all the rent that was paid? What are all these options he talks about?
Congrats to Denise Lopez and group. They fought hard and won.
Wow.. Tough break... especially after the intent to approve. Hopefully some of the other stuff gets going.
This was really going to be a zip changer. Oh well.
Why would anyone think that we lose our ownership rights simply because a stock is no longer being traded???
If your house isn't listed for sale on zillow.. that doesn't mean you don't own it anymore.
If anything... being delisted helps our case. Stockholders shouldn't worry. I'd worry if I was the person who let it get de-listed.
I think we're all happy there is a settlement. Were you expecting that?
That's a concern, and I've brought this up before.
Billy could agree to a lowball settlement, but then have a high price for the tech. He gave himself 20% of UO!IP which licenses/sells the patents. A distinction without a different for all practical purposes, except that he can structure it so more of funds go towards that instead of settlement, since he granted himself a greater portion of those.
I am not saying he did this, but I am just saying that if someone isn't interested in acting in the best interests of holders.. the potential has always been there to try.
Thing is... At this point, the future value of this tech is very small relative to prior damages from the theft, so the lion's share of the overall $ figure should be in the settlements rather than any sale of the tech.
20% may not seem like a fortune... but when everyone else is netting off the top, we end up getting less and less and pushed further and further down (based on the TRO) it can make a big impact.
WHat percentage right were people who said there would never be a settlement?
Carter can lend borrow whatever he wants for whatever interest rate he wants out of his personal stake. Usury or not... that's up to him :)
When borrowing starts happening at our (shareholders) expense, that's where I have concern. If our stake was going to be reduced... then those funds should have been used to benefit shareholders.
As I recall... the funds were alleged to have been used for his personal expenses... nothing to do with us or the case.
That's a problem whatever the rate was!
Yeah.... but are we mike tyson or bubblegum Joe?
#80'svideogames :) :)
Great! I added a bit additional today as well.. :)
Let's see this thing through!!!
As I see it, any holder here should be very wary of leaving this process to chance. If you own shares and want to ensure that your rights are fully represented.... posting on this board alone won't get us there.
Right now is the time for action, but it is going to take a big group of us supporting any efforts to see this through and ensure we get a fair shake.
This has a chance to be a great story, lets just make sure to do our part so that we don't trip right in front of the finish line!
Glad it's going well sir. Never easy to go through stuff but you are a good example of maintaining a positive and happy outlook through it. All the best to you and your family... including Dutch. When is his next article going to drop? Maybe that grumpiness is about the 13 rather than you.
Ya man.. I apologize if it came across anything less than positive. I certainly didn't mean it to.
All I meant to say was much better stated by Tony in post #89191. If we were able sit and talk for 5 minutes, I'm sure we'd actually agree on everything, so thanks for (hopefully) giving me the benefit of the doubt here, and please accept my apology as it appears I expressed things the wrong way.
You're a solid guy and I look forward to many positive future interactions.
Glad we've gotten this far and regardless of age, I know we are all anxious to get $$ from this settlement.
Have a great weekend sir!
I am happy to sit back and let it ride. If you read what I actually wrote... I never said anything different.
I am simply responding to the idea that we should be so happy about the current result that we should give up any and all future rights because we're old. I disagree with that idea.
THat said, I agree that we should chill and let this work out, and I agree that much of this is better left to minds greater than mine. I still believe that things are being read into what I wrote, and I'm being attacked for things I didn't say. I'll be thrilled if and when we get paid, and I agree that for the most part, this conversation is putting the cart before the horse ( though.. if you'll remember, I didn't start the topic, just wrote a response).
Anyway, looks like our conversation will have pushed us to #1 on the breakout board here within an hour or two, so I guess that's the silver lining. Have a great day sir!
THat's my guess! ZW wrote Billy today, I know he said he wasn't going to contact shareholders, but now that it's "done" I don't see why he wouldn't. Have you tried to text?
Yeah I would hope to see something from the TA within a week or two. Exciting times!
I don't disagree with anything you wrote here. I think you are attributing things to me I haven't said nor do I think.
I am very happy with the current outcome, and I am more than happy to let any shareholder legal team concern itself with future action... For example, if we get a fair lump sum to cover any future $$, that would be great.. I'd love to be done with this whole thing!
I'm not seeing where you think we disagree??
I am telling it to everyone who will listen.
If we own shares, we own the rights to the current settlement, and any future settlements.
Whether it's appropriate to go after those... I don't know... but if 'we' do go after them... I don't think any shareholder is going to say... "Nahh, Billy, you can take my shares back, I don't need any part of what we recover in the future."
Do you disagree that our shares entitle us to a fair portion of current and future profits of this company ??? Because that's all I'm saying....
