You missed the line in there about being DECADES ahead I suppose.
Big revenues are coming.
Let us enter a fantasy world where we could buy alcohol stocks weeks before prohibition was lifted. That's kindof where we are not... don't complain.
I am not long, I do not buy on margin. I freely bounce my positions, but right now, I'm not moving... check that... I might make one more trade prior...
Up on them since opening Monday though.
But Canopy lost way more yesterday therefore bounce harder back.
In terms of regaining from yesterday, ACB is still ahead.
I think he was talking about ACOL's OS at 5.5 B
Looks like it was a perfect trade... buy back in at 9.70
Thanks for the 3k or 300 extra shares
I think its because with so many shares we are very liquid.
But I agree, buying this stock on margin is pretty ballsy.
look at what craft beer did to budweiser
There are FAR more common/credible/no worry reasons for one to resign as CEO in this situation, than there are negative reasons...
Take off Reverend's tin foil hat, and let it play out before worrying....
sounds like an inefficient use of paying commission to me.
I think the bottom of the channel was defined today, but I also think that if we don't crack 10 (USD) tomorrow we will be sideways again for the next few weeks.
I bet we are flat here for a bit. Unless some crazy news comes out.
2) I think this means the profits that they have made on holding shares of TGOD and the like, that profit is still unrealized.
I might be wrong.
you will drive yourself less crazy if you just pay attention to the split during after hours. That really gives the opening range.
I bet you are still seeing the t trade from Friday afternoon.
I'm showing a 9.15 9.22 split. (USD)
Not sure where you are getting down 1.27 pre
I will be away from my tickers all day :( I have set up a limit buy just in case we have sell off today, but I will be surprised if it goes low enough to trigger it.
To clarify... just because it is the last trade to hit the books, doesn't tell us at all when the trade actually occured. I agree that it is a pretty low price for anyone to make during today's trading ... but clearly it has had its desired effect on many.
The price 7.85 is just the price of the last trade to hit the books. It's an MM tactic to make it look like a big drop occured. YES that is the last price, NO that will not have an effect on Monday.
Unless panic ensues... as is the hope for those employing this tactic.
In which case I suppose I will buy.
I would not be surprised if there is another afternoon short run similar to yesterday. Although they didn't test the waters at lunch time today like they did yesterday... I might be wrong.
IMO
sing some doors to it.
When I have moments to watch stocks climb... I sing "Break on Through" by the Doors in my head when it reaches some resistance.
I've been singing it here at $8.45 USD maybe it will.
Tomorrow will be interesting. I think that it's 50/50 up or down... but it would take some serious balls to buy on margin right now.
IMO
And... there is a story every week about rat poison in the street stuff... etc... I agree that commercial is the way to go... BUT... this has been the life blood of far too many criminal organizations for A LONG TIME. Not sure they will roll over and give up.
Trust me, It was not perfect. Looks like I got out of Aphria a little early and into Aurora early... But I have profited handsomely. I think (hope) that I'm right again. Thinking $12 to $15 around November....
To be fair... I am invested in Aurora at the moment, because I think their surge is coming.... just not sure how long I will ride it. Auxly might surge after...
While I do agree, (I have moved my Aphria money to Aurora) I think that some of the "rush" might be along the lines of... what will the over supply status be in 2020... it is a pretty easy to grow weed... what will the black market do.... what happens when the US gets involved.... I am of the OPINION that this bubble will burst.
Will Aurora pay off prior to that burst?
Just trying to figure out my re-entry point. Don't want to screw up a T+2 and catch a big dip.
My goal is to catch only the positive seconds of the ride.
Profit takers are going to win though. I have ZERO problem selling the bump and rebuying.
They are starting to come back to earth a bit. Wonder if it will settle back at 6.80
It's not just canopy, Apharia up 4% too
I am not a professional by any means... I day trade as a hobby.
That being said, I don't think that this will go much lower than $5.15 USD this seems to be a pretty solid line of support. I imagine that it might spike down to $5.00 for a minute here or there, but it won't ride that line like it will this line... so unless you feel like taking a chance and setting up a limit buy at 5.05 or so... I feel like 5.15 is about as good as you're going to do...
That being said... I am also still out of Aurora at the moment. I am still trading in Aprhia and enjoying that channel action... less outstanding shares, and still cheap enough to have enough volume to control commission flipping the stock.
In my view, Molson doesn't need a huge company like Aphria, Aurora, or Canopy. They already have a brand, distribution, and wealth... Molson needed a smallish company that they could just get the cannabis from minimally.
I think as MJ unfolds, the big MJ's will have interest from small brewers for much the same reason.
Just my guesses.
looks like I was wrong on the new bottom though... might still be 7.80
I doubt it. Previously the bottom of the channel was holding pretty solid at last December's $7.80 (USD) now, even with the news, it appears to be holding at $8.35. I think the positive financials cancel out the Molson deal, and we continue sideways for a bit.
Just my guesses.
Anyone know what time earnings will be reported tomorrow? Will it be after trading hours?
I see. Assuming you know (but not every one does) if earnings push you into the next bracket, only the amount that is into the next bracket is taxed at that level.
I'm not sure if that's right then. Short term earnings are taxed like regular income.
Are these Canadian tax laws?
Or should I say, returns to it's old base in the 9's
Crazy that it closed right at 8.50 USD. It's last two stops at this valuation there were selloffs down to 7.90 both times...
I think it drops one more time, and Aug 1 begins its climb to a new base in the 9's.
Just my guesses.
