Falconer,
First thank you for sharing your knowledge with this board. I do have a question... How much can the contents of a persons gut effect the amount of a drug that will make it to the brain? Thanks again.
You all need to keep in mind one of the Good Doctors early interviews was used as a basis of a law suite. Of course he is going to be very cautious.
Under promise and over deliver...
Epilepsy could be one of those 5 CNS drugs the FDA chief was talking about.
I appreciate your daily updates... Thank you for taking the time.
Calm before the storm..
15.00 high ...
My guess is this going to be much more than most of us think.
Pre and mild AD people.. that is were the market lies..
What are the chances our trial patient population will duplicate BIIB's ?
Interesting read... Indicates how ready MJF is ready for 273 vs PD

I believe the Road shows were set up with the thought that the good doctor would have the trial starts in his back pocket. Now delayed till December tells me we will have trial starts before EOY. IMO
Sounds like a plan..
Based on her comments and past coverage of Anavex, I am expecting a positive article from her and hopefully some incite from the Good Doctor
Latest from Michele Sullivan ... I'm working on a story about #Anavex 2-73, a sigma 1 receptor agonist in early phase development for #Alzheimer's. In the meantime, anyone can look at the slides presented at #CTAD17. Kudos to Anavex for publicly posting research material.

Just like everything else...it will happen when it happens.
I ain't going nowhere.
She said should be out Tuesday... Not out yet..
Will probably appear here first.. http://www.mdedge.com/clinicalneurologynews/latest-news/latest
May be waiting for Mike Fox to announce it at his Nov 28th fund raiser.
I believe today was the PD poster.
"With his donation, Gates hopes to spur research into more novel ideas about the disease, like investigating the role of the glial cells that activate the immune system of the brain or how the energy lifespan of a cell may contribute to the disease.....Gates believes that it will be a combination of mainstream and out-of-the-box thinking that will lead to potential treatments in the near future."
I think so!
New sheriff in town.... Janet Woodcock
Great post... should be stickied..
Good news is, that's all they have...
Anavex will be able to choose folks with profiles that duplicate the super responders. This can be done for all CNS indications. Am I wrong?
She does have a BP influence. Let's see what happens.
I believe she will interview the good doctor at SFN.
UPDATE...Michele Sullivan tweeted that interview will be out Tuesday. She is a respected blogger on AD. This could be a market mover.
My question to (Michelle Sullivan) https://twitter.com/Alz_Gal@Alz_Gal
What do you think of the Anavex presentation?
Her response
"Intrigued they presented clinical data on very last slide. Interview later this week re: 1 year stability for AD, plus trials in rett and PD"
Thanks Mycroft... I was looking for a justification for 273 being more effective in mild AD folks and why it may be more effective in the younger Rett patients.
Thanks for your reply.
Do some DD on the Sigma 1 receptor... This is a different animal...That along with being able to stack the deck for the trials.... I give this one a better than 50% chance of success.
How I define start...
NDAs in place
FDA blessing
Start recruiting before EOY (Rett has begun, Rett, PD and AD have
databases).
Very doable in 2017.
Question for you or anyone who may know the answer...
Do the sigma-1 receptors diminish with age or does the occurrence of a CNS disease diminish them? Or maybe both.
Just a coincidence???
