Morning Gwen
Have a look over here.
Lurk a little ! LOL

Sorry Gwen you lost me,
I dont think I sent you a link.
I referred you to the this boards IHUB box for comparison of the daily and weekly charts I believe.
Here they are.......

Nil,
You obviously spend a lot of time on your research as I also note from your Merril Lynch post.
May I ask how long you have been using your system/theory?
Do you find it an accurate, reliable predictor ?
Its certainly going to be interesting to see.
Hope you stick around.
Thanks
I realise this should be better placed on the other board. But at this time it seems more relevant to this.
Replay. As we are able to mention him again !LOL
Things are a little more urgent for Rupert. He failed to raise capital on the London market recently to upgrade his sats.
Maintaining and upgrading present sats is going to be an ever increasing and expensive problem to resolve particularly as the Shuttle is grounded. (How do we get the space lab guys back?)
September 5, 2005 - Satellite operators continue to take a strong interest in WiMAX as a way to enhance their triple play plans with two-way communications. According to Reuters, Alvarion is negotiating with US satellite television giant DirecTV Group to supply WiMAX equipment, and the UK’s SkyTV, another Rupert Murdoch company, is also investigating the technology as it comes under increasing competitive pressure from DSL and cable-based offerings.
"Wireless communications infrastructure will speed up the use of DirecTV's networks," said Alvarion Zvi Slonimsky at a recent conference. "The group is now testing WiMAX infrastructures in order to provide its satellite television network sububscribers with high speed communications on the return channel."
Meanwhile, Sanswire is the best known pioneer of ‘stratellites’ - huge balloons or airships as a low cost alternative to satellite for delivering rural services. It is looking to use WiMAX for the last mile in a planned network to span the US and parts of Canada and Mexico.
The Globetel subsidiary says its balloons fly at about 65,000 feet above earth and act as giant microwave repeaters. One stratellite can cover an area the size of Texas and can use solar powered engines to maintain its position.
Sanswire/GlobeTel says it has a $50m deal with the government of Columbia to put five of the airships over the Latin American nation.
Good one
Nice to see you here
GLTY Too
Braden
I see you came aboard yesterday.
How long have you been a GTE shareholder ?
Presumably you are buying at this point from your posts of encouragment to everyone.
May I ask why you think so strongly that this is the bottom at this point in time ?
Thanks
The bottom line here is that THEY are the 'deep pockets'and have control over the share price.
Its inconsiderate to retail/private shareholders that the CEO has given them dominian over us and skewed the playing field I appreciate.
We are at their whim .
The effect is doubled because they are hedging, shorting, naked shorting and as we have seen today are quite capable of moving the pps 15%
So .........
Either ride with them or against them.
With them and you make
Against them you dont survive more than a couple of rounds.
For now ......
A couple of bright spots.
Wizr saw the trend cnange almost immediatly So play the trend, they control it.
Low speculated this might come to be.
(Seebass bless his heart - wishful thinking and luck ....)
It makes for a volotile stock.
Vol manipulation means movement. It wont be a boring ride.
Use the TA it still is meaningful.
JMO
Nite All LOL
(Sorry !)
Someone noted this post from caradoc way back in May.
It seems an appropriate time to repost it. particularly on such a bloody day for some.
--------------------------------------------------
A look at the future...
My guess on timing as it applies to revenue/price per share is that we'll arrive at profitability even before strat revenues kick in. By the end of 2005, a decent PE ratio plus speculative value of pending strat revenues has GTE trading in the range of high single-digit dollars to maybe 11 or 12 bucks. Final 2005 price depends on extent to which company's efforts result in investor awareness of the size of those pending revenues.
For timing during 2006/2007, note that Stratellite's various pending revenue streams are independent, not sequential events:
* Sales of strats to Air Force, Army, NASA, and Weather Bureau (now National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA)
* Sales to other nations
* Leasing entire strats to users who require the entire payload and/or want to do their own command and control
* Leasing partial payload (space, weight, power) to those who simply want a ride for their hardware
* And the big one: income from GTE operating its own services (cell phone, broadband internet, etc.) from 65,000 feet.
Any two or three of those revenue streams could kick in during the same week or month and all of the streams should have kicked in within two years. So, once strat revenues begin, profitability is likely to increase sharply as still other strat revenue streams begin to flow. This is important for two reasons:
1. During 2006, just based on having a PE ratio at all, price per share would go to low teens or better depending on how many dollars are flowing.
2. With two or three of the revenue streams flowing, the speculative value of the remaining streams goes up sharply as onlookers realize "Hey, this thing really does work! We really are on a verge of a worldwide paradigm shift." This realization takes GTE to or beyond $20 per share.
The extent to which this realization happens in 2006 versus 2007 doesn't matter much in the long run because mainstream investors don't buy even highly likely speculations and will want to see two years of increasing profitability before getting involved. This means 2008 and it's your guess as to whether these conservative investors climb aboard closer to $20 or $40 per share. After that, price becomes a function of earnings.
One more prediction: as pleased as they will be with price per share in 2008, those who invested during 2005 will be even moreimpressed with what happens when all those revenue streams (literally rivers of money!) are translated into dividend checks.
Just me and my crystal ball,
Caradoc

Just did the $10 Wheeeeee
looks to be more.
Thanks
If you could just clarify what number you are using for your ADX on your chart again please,
ADX = eg 14
Thanks
But sorry I am not seeing what you are.
Any chance of putting the chart up your looking at pls?
Green
What index are you using on your ADX pls?
Yep,
Quite agree seen it and experienced it time and again
Very frustrating
Sheer arrogance.
They have far to fall I fear LOL
OK so I have some confidence in my undestanding of the ADX and williams now
I have to understand better its relationship with the Aroons which I know you set store by.
GTE fell through the 200 & 50 today. Bit of a blood bath.
Buying Op coming but not for a few days of this at least.
Got out some before Xmas so looking for a re entry .
-D about to X ADX is next no doubt !
Hi Ken
Just been through them all.
Looks like 3 more have popped too.
Impressive.
GTE having a bad day. Got out 50% before Xmas.
Looking to the ADX to tell me when to get back in again.
Check should be with you !?
Honest !!! LOL
Gwen,
Please go to the IHUB header box here.
You will see links (thanks to Techbear Where are you !!)
for the weekly and daily charts.
Have a look at the 2 and compare.
The daily gives a different story to the weekly on technicals.
I use the daily's for ins and outs as I am sure most do here.
It can be confusing. For instance if you were looking for an ADX confirm on the weekly it would tell you something quite different.
The 200 is @2.66 ?
Please feel free to come back with any questions. Bear in mind I am something of a novice too !LOL

Interesting to watch them.
Thats what caught my eye too, the ADX, its kinda similar set up to GTE now.
Ken Goodrich listed this about a 2 weeks ago as being ready so have had it on watch.
Must say I cant yet see the set ups that far back but am working on it LOL
This is what we need !
It happens .........

Your stature has just increased Sir !
Welcome,
The understanding (I hope otherwise I am totally lost !) of the Golden Cross is the 50 DMA (SMA) piercing (from below) the 200 DMA.
I think most are waiting for that indicator as being some confirmation.
Then I would like to see a DMX X and a few days above the 5 DMA. But thats because I am feeling my age............
Like to see your ANA sounds interesting ..meanwhile suggest you log in a few 'gurus'.
Ken Goodrich, Wizetrader Lowtrade and Mide to mention a few.
Could your 'formulae' be Seasonal or astronomical !!?
GLTY
And may perfect TA obviate the luck !!!!!!
See how your 'formula' 'gels' with those.
Thanks for that Lowtrade,
Some confirmation of my present thinking.
No real signs or signals.
Wont be biting nails !LOL
Hope you had a good Xmas with you and yours ..........
Hi Ken,
And seems
it still keeps on going ! LOL
Hope you had a good one.
Humm
Someone dumped 1/2 mill shares !
Great assesment Rhapsody,
Nice one LOL !
Mide,
Hows that X of the 50 and 200 DMA looking.
I am still having problems getting a 60 min.
I am looking for something which might turn the ADX because we continue to drift here.
The oars for the boat if you get my drift ! LOL
Thanks

Per Lindstrand is a manufacturer and designer of balloons and airships.
http://www.lindstrand.co.uk/hale.html
He and Richard Branson flew around the world in a balloon non stop. They are good freinds.
You will see that Lindstrand had a contract from the EU Space Agency in 1998 to look into the design and feasability of a 'Stratellite'.
It appears to have gone no further. But the chances of the tech being facilitated more easily and profitably in the US rather than the EU is apparent.
Richard Branson is quite capable of bringing to the table great financing deals I would have thought because of his successful history of actually making things happen and work.
Richard would I would expect get his last mile for Virgin Mobile.
Could Sir Chris Meyer bring the UK and US together on this ?
I see it saving Globtel as much as a year or more. Whilst adding tremendously to the companies credibility.
Got to say I have been suprised that although someone raised the subject of how good it would be for Globetel to have Richard Branson aboard, since posting the links of mutual interest between the two, no one has commented.
Presumably it hasn't been forgotten that Branson and Lindstrand set a record round the world in a balloon not to long ago ?
The more I consider the benefits the more I see it as both a practical and mutually beneficial alliance.
How beneficial would a Globetel/Lindstrand/Branson alliance be to all ?
From Lindstrand Ballons site. (link earlier post on this thread)
European Space Agency 'Hale' design assesment project.
The airship is unmanned and will fly in the stratosphere at 70,000 feet and is geostationary, i.e. it will use its propulsive power to motor into the wind and will therefore remain stationary over its intended position on earth
At this altitude the airship will have a tremendous coverage reaching 400 miles in every direction. This means that if the airship is used as a MOBILE TELEPHONE relay station two airships flying over the UK can instantly create complete mobile phone coverage of the entire country.
The airship would be designed to carry a 600 kg payload and this can be, apart from a mobile phone relay station, a surveillance radar, a weather radar or a sensor package.
The airship is closer to a satellite than an aircraft as it is intended to leave it on station for up to five years. Unlike a satellite the airship can be brought back to earth for repair and service, although that is a secondary option.
This very idea was first voiced in the mid 70s by the US Navy in what was called the HASPA programme. The HASPA concept was almost identical to the ESA HALE study in that it used solar cells for daytime power, fuel cells for night-time power and an electric motor with propeller for propulsion. However, the solar cell technology at that time was not sufficiently advanced to achieve the required electrical power for the available weight and the project was shelved.
What has made the HALE project possible is the radical improvement in photovoltaics, i.e. solar cell technology. The traditional solar cell is a single crystal semi-conductor deposited onto glass, which is efficient but heavy and expensive. The HALE airship would use instead amorphous silicone solar cells deposited onto a Kapton (polyimide) film. The thickness of the solar cell itself is less than 800 Ångstrom and although this cell only has 8% efficiency it costs a fraction of the former cells and will revolutionize the extraction of electricity from the Sun in the future.
The solar power available at 70,000 feet is over 1kW/m2 and with an 8% efficiency this will translate to 80-watt electricity per m2. The airship’s total surface area is 30,000m2 , so only a small percentage needs to be covered by solar cells to achieve the required daytime power extraction of 400kW. The amorphous silicone solar cells are very flexible and will be integrated as an extra layer in the airship’s skin fabric.
The nighttime power is delivered by a fuel cell almost identical to those used in today’s spacecraft where H2 and O2 produce water and electricity. During daylight hours an electrolyser will split the water into H2 and O2. This regenerative fuel cell is a totally enclosed system and the three gases, i.e. H2 O2 and water vapour, are stored in what is called nurse balloons inside the main airship envelope. This is a unique feature available to an airship due to its vast envelope volume there are probably no other vehicles that could house such vast quantities of gas without compressing it.
The propulsion is by a brushless DC motor configurated to run at the speed where the propeller is most efficient (500rpm) and thus eliminating the need for a gear box. As the atmosphere at 70,000 feet is very benign, i.e. no weather, almost no humidity, and no pollution the propeller will need virtually no maintenance.
The flight guidance system will be built by DASA and is very similar to what you would find on today’s airliners. There are essentially two flight modes, geostationary and free flight. The airship could be launched from almost anywhere since it has the capabilities to motor itself to its intended location.
The size of the airship is similar to the pre-war Zeppelins but there the similarity stops. The airship envelope is entirely made from fabric and maintains its shape by slight super-pressure. The lifting gas is helium, which is totally inert.
The 70,000 feet flight level is selected as it is above 99.9% of all other air traffic (controlled air space stops at 65,000 feet), it is above all weather and the winds at 70,000 feet are the lowest in the stratosphere.
The payload is one ton and could be just about anything. The most obvious is mobile phone exchange platform but it can also be a radar or a sensor package. In the current configuration the HALE airship has allocated 15 kW for the payload power consumption.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Seems a win win for all. Globetel get real experience with Lindstrand. He builds it and does it. He is at the forefront of balloon/airship tech.
Branson just makes things happen. What a boost for Virgin Mobile in the US ! Again the cred. to bringing his name aboard in the financial world would be enormous.
Hummm, I think THEY should be told ! LOL
My read is that they have been naughty boys been admonished and told not to do it again.
ie : no further action
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., December 27, 2005 - Globetel Communications Corp. (AMEX:GTE) today announced that it has received a "warning letter" from the American Stock Exchange stating that the Company was not in compliance with AMEX rules regarding the listing of additional shares.
Specifically, GlobeTel had not filed an Application to List Additional Shares with regard to certain share issuances the Company has made since its initial listing in May 2005. The Company has subsequently submitted the application to the Amex. According to the letter, the AMEX has determined that it will not apply at this time continued listing evaluation and follow-up procedures. The Company has also amended its share issuance procedures to assure future compliance.
I have been seeing the converging of the two.
Snaphook set quite a bit of store by that too the other day.
I was looking to the DMA and Williams for some confirmation.
My feeling is that we may still have a couple of days of being messed around here.
I am in straddle mode at the moment and prepared to swing on these large movements with 50% but dive in when that ADX gives better confirmation while holding 50%.
Volume bodes well for registering interest going into the new year. Still very mindful of Ken's Seasonality here so not going to be left out! LOL
Am sticking to some indicators I have made a mistake in not following so rigidly this year which has not helped in profitability or anxiety levels !
Always learning from mistakes though Midi ........ I hope ......
The European/Lindstrand Stratellite,
http://www.lindstrand.co.uk/hale.html
What has happened to this since 1998 design study ?
Note similarities
Yes thanks Serious 1.
Those that were on the e mail list got the news this morning.
You can sign up to receive Globtel e mails on their website.
It works to shareholders benefit.
Having looked at the idea of a Globetel/Branson/Lindstrand alliance in a little more depth I can see major mutual benefits to all.
Lindstrand has already put a ballon to 65,000 ft is looking at putting one up to 130,000 ft.
But it is the manufacturing and design experience that is probably the most beneficial.
Globetel can benefit from Lindstrands production knowledge and capabilities.
Sir RB for Virgins telecom arm.
It looks good all round.
What a coup if it can be brought about ..........
I believe his relationship (Branson's) with Per Lindstrom may preclude him from joining with GTE.
Lindstrands's company is involved in a similar project.
High Altitude Long Endurance
(HALE) and was awarded a European Space Agency study programme to study the feasability in 1998.
http://www.lindstrand.co.uk/projects.html
Having said that,
It certainly would be a great move if Sir Chris could bring them all together to each's benefit somehow.
Merrily ,merrily merrily........
Thanks Mide
Mide,
Is there any possibility of putting the links you used to 'triple confirm' the short position in the I box here ?
Does anyone subscribe to www.buyins.com here BTW?
Hope you and everyone had a good Xmas.
Thanks
Thanks Low,
Havent given it the time it deserves yet.
See I am going to digest that over Xmas.
Thanks for sharing that.
Ever thought writing a book ? LOL
Have a good Xmas
Agreed,
This is a good stock to hone TA skills.
And some good practitioners here to learn from.
There is interest and expectation together with ground breaking tech. to be a part off.
Have a good Xmas.
