I have tasted it. Posted my review a long time ago. I agree with Misanthrope. It's ok. Tastes like ethanol. Sort of funny aftertaste though and it does not mix well. It works well with Russians but makes perhaps the worst martini I've ever had. Tasted like a sweat sock. I guess skim milk, honey and vermouth are a bad combination. Tastes pretty funky with cranberry too.
Point is there is nowhere near the differentiation you are claiming between vodkas other than significantly flavored, e.g., Absolut Mandarin, and Marani is not in that category. Put Marani and four other grain 80 proof vodkas in a blind taste test and 99/100 people would shrug their shoulders and say they couldn't really tell much difference.
And news for you on the so called awards which are now older than some of the Marani bottles still sitting on shelves from 2008. They were pay-to-play awards like a Who's Who listing. MRIB bought those awards and then touted them as real competitive events. They also finished 17th in the only somewhat legitimate tasting but even that's like a Little League game. Everyone gets a medal and a tidbit for PR. There were 16 brands with ratings of silver or gold ahead of Marani.
Lots of shares at $.0004 but no takers. They're not budging. Still some folks that think they can make a little walking around money if they get it at $.0003.
The dumper even set the trap with a $100 trade to keep it away from $.0003 but no one's falling for it this time. Not sure how patient the dumper(s) are but sooner rather than later, especially as we get closer to June 15th, they'll start taking $.0003s and below. The insiders know MRIB is headed to worthless in very short order when the HUGE MRIB debt comes due. The first of it in less than two weeks and only eight trading days.
They're going to need to get rid of quite a few shares in a short amount of time before the music stops and the last of the chairs are taken.
The best vodka in the world? Then why is it being sold by MRIB for well liquor prices at $7.99? The truth is it's an illusion created by MRIB. They took run of the mill rot gut, put it in a fancy bottle and called it "premium". It tastes no different than any other vodka. Ethanol and water clear spirit. The claims of differentiation are purely psychological.
And many of us have done the DD. Unfortunately all the negative facts have proven supportable and true while the optimistic speculative positive items proven false and undelivered. In many cases some of the MRIB PR turned out to be outright lies. No company that lies to its shareholders can be trusted. Since they are out of business I guess it's a moot point but the trading needs to be put to a stop to keep good folks from losing their money which they have and will continue to do so.
MRIB was a scam the first time around with the same ring leader(s) running the con game. They did it again a second time in identical fashion. The only variable is did Margrit and her cronies clear as much cash as last time?
Bottom line is there are no sales in MRIB's future. It's simply not possible. It's a shell company with no cash, no employees, no advertising or marketing, decreasing retail presence and a CEO who is dumber than a bag of rocks with no experience or track record of success in fourteen years sitting at home having shut down their offices. No consumer brand has or will ever accomplish that feat. I wouldn't even wait for $0001. It will never bounce again. Any investment in MRIB at this point will be a total loss.
That's the same thing that was said about Washington State when the Seattle event kicked off almost a year ago. Marani sales to date in Washington? ZERO. NY was claimed to be huge a year ago. NY retailers selling Marani? ZERO. What's different in Florida? Nothing. Sales will be ZERO once again.
These events are useless. With no retail presence you can NEVER move product. MRIB with no retail presence and no advertising or marketing is simply putting on a cheap dog and pony show to try and hide the fact they're not in business anymore with these cheesey events.
Brazil is clearly a dead deal. Never was a deal probably. MRIB or their joint venture partner hasn't even filed for label approval in Brazil. There's also no Marani reference in any Brazil business records so I doubt any company or venture exists in Brazil.
If MRIB is in high gear I'd hate to see what low gear would be! Fact of the matter is that all evidence points to the fact that MRIB did in fact cease normal operations six months ago. Margrit let go of the employees, shuttered the offices and ceased all communication. MRIB was reduced to a single operator shell company whose revenue is primarily the sale of shares with some very minimal residual product sales from the few retailers MRIB has been able to retain. With no sales force, a 40% decrease in sales for the last quarter and no new retailers added in the last eight months is pretty much proof positive that there is no product sales effort in place and the company is shut down and dormant as far as selling vodka.
Conversely, there is absolutely no evidence to contradict such other than a confirmation from MRIB or a bankruptcy filing and Margrit isn't going to do that as long as shares can continue to be dumped. MRIB silence and non-activity is being regarded as an indication of an ongoing operation when it really should be quite the opposite. As for the rationalization MRIB is not shut down and not a scam because it gets attention, all I can say is that is absurd. Bernie Madoff got lots of attention. Enron got lots of attention. The Boston Marathon bombers got lots of attention. Certainly does not signify relevance let alone anything positive for MRIB.
What would cause MRIB, a company that folded up shop over six months ago, to pop? There's really no reasonable expectation of news. Brazil was clearly a ruse and a dead deal that never really was. Sales are abysmal down 40% in the last reported quarter. No new sales are being done and MRIB is late yet again with their financials and this time didn't even bother to file an extension. MRIB has no employees or offices. No cash. No marketing or advertising. Just wondering what kind of news can come out of a company that's clearly not actively in business or operation. What's more is the only news on the horizon is what MRIB does about $600K in notes payable that come due this month.
Short of a winning powerball ticket I can't think of any good news forthcoming for MRIB. The late financials are just a stall to keep the shares moving and suppressing the bad financial news giving the dump enough time before the PPS bottoms out. Heck, there hasn't been any news or even a meaningful statement from Margrit or MRIB since October. What would make anyone think we will all the sudden hear something let alone something good given the MRIB dire situation?
Where's the paint? Gotta' get it back up to $.0006 before the 5 million dump tomorrow. MRI is now an ATM for Margrit. Went out of business in October and now just collecting on zero basis shares. Gold is full of it. Nothing is coming. Gold is probably Margrit herself.
You should be able to get MRIB $.0003s easily as we get closer to the 15th as long as it's high volume. Might even get $.0002s middle of the month. I would hold out. When MRIB is faced with the two notes payable the first of which will hit on the 15th, with no cash on hand, they will have to issue out a boatload of new stock unless they have it in reserve. Who knows? Either way we should see a huge dump of shares on the 15th and another the first week of July when the second note matures. And nothing is going to change that. The only hope was Brazil but a check on the Brazil version of the TTB has no registration of Marani or any joint venture or subsidiary and no label registration for the product. There isn't even a spirits distributor listed in Curitoba, so that's all bullshit and is not going to happen.
The problem with all of this is the PPS by the first week of July, assuming all of Margrit's accounting is kosher, should be at $.0001 at best and that will be overvalued based on revenues and financial condition. But I doubt we will ever be able to confirm just how bad it is as I think we've seen the last of MRIB financial submissions. Not even an extension this time. It should be a good write off if you need it come December 2015.
Obviously you can't average down to par but with enough volume one might get close enough to bet on MRIB 3.0 four years down the road.
And a Florida vacation paid for by MRIB shareholders. And then after that, on to Barcelona! Nice vacation spots but not places where MRIB does any business. Now isn't that special? From the trading it looks like Margrit is bankrolling the trips and paying her bills before she takes off for the rest of the month.
Coincidentally, by the time she returns, if she does, the two notes payable in June for $600K will have hit. Could be the final exit here. Get rid of everything before the 15th and skip town with a big bag of cash. Still going at a rate of $3-5K daily. Should have a nice little stash of $300K or so built up over the last couple of months. Actually, it started back in the first week of February when the last of the toxic financing ran out. Since then someone has been dumping almost every day to the tune of an average of over 4 million shares between $.0008 and $.0004. Wonder who? LOL
There's that famous MRIB word again... "Soon". Brazil? Soon. Profitability? Soon. Costco expansion? Soon. Good news coming? Soon. Financials? Soon.
Not ONE thing other than maybe the initial Costco deal has materialized and MRIB has now lost more than half of that deal and most likely will be discontinued very soon. Think about it. Not a single MRIB promise has ever been delivered. It's either an outrageous exaggeration of a non-event or an outright lie. They use the word soon simply to extend the life of the meaningless hype.
The only application of the word soon for MRIB is BANKRUPTCY. They're already incredibly insolvent so it's certainly not a strectch to expect that soon. All the other stuff is bunk.
Hi Veronica. Hadn't seen you around much lately. Anyway, we all know there are no Florida retailers signed on. The desperation of the MRIB situation and longs, and most likely insiders, is starting to really show now and information about MRIB is now almost entirely fabrication.
As I've pointed out, any exposure or marketing attempt no matter how lame it might be is useless with no retail presence and is no different than trying to sell in a state you're not licensed to sell in. There's no difference. If there's nowhere to buy the product, it's not going to generate any sales. These events are just a cheap way of keeping up the appearance of an effort and to eek out any little last bit of confidence in MRIB investors who rationalize them into positive activity.
You could say that Florida has the potential of being MRIB's biggest state. The way it's going in California the bar will be set pretty low. And I don't believe any retailers have signed on. Simply not the truth. If you know of any, please state who and we can confirm ourselves. Otherwise we have to assume it's just made up wishful thinking trying to support a company that went out of business seven months ago.
Amazing marketing effort? You're kidding, right? What effort was put into it? Sending a couple of free cases of vodka to a D-list event is not only a lame attempt at marketing but totally useless in a state that MRIB doesn't sell or have any retail presence. They might as well do events in states they don't have licenses in! Same effect.
And as I said, this was committed to over a year ago so there was and is no current effort. Anyone can sponsor these crappy events. Probably paid for in product and at most just a couple of bucks. It's the MRIB MO. Spend as little as possible to keep up appearances and exaggerate the hell out of every little thing.
Yes. And in the largest market in the U.S. MRIB can't manage $2000 a month in net sales. Oh, but Florida will be different? How's that? Perhaps MRIB should concentrate on California, that is if they were still in business. But they're not. Shut down and now reduced to a stock selling shell vehicle and to support Margrit for as long as it will last. She's not out selling. Since Dan Senters left she lost more than half her retail presence and added ZERO new retailers and then topped it off with a 40% decrease in sales to existing retailers. Obviously no effort at all is being made nor has been made selling vodka for the better part of the last eight months.
Mighty strange indeed. Trying to sell a product in a state where MRIB has had a license for over a year and has yet to land a single retail location. MRIB can't even sell product in their own backyard and they're off trying to do it somewhere else? And with no sales force, local or otherwise?
It's really a moot point because MRIB committed to this scam of an event over a year ago. It's certainly no indication that MRIB is in business. And regardless of how much alcohol consumption there is in Florida, if there's nowhere to buy it they're not going to sell any. MRIB sent a couple of cases to the cheesey promoter running it, put out a PR in connection with a PR about a Florida license and never thought about it again. All done as part of the charade and ruse. Anything to give the appearance of sales where there was never any possible potential for such.
The only interest here is to see a major scam shut down for good. At least the company, the vehicle for this charade, is out of business. Now it's a matter of the stock selling part of the scam to be shut down. But that should take care of itself by the end of the month when the $600,000 in notes come due and MRIB has no cash to satisfy them. They might even have to R/S just to issue enough shares to cover.
MRIB did put out a PR about it. Two or three times already as a matter of fact. It's part of the same Amelia Island Film and Gaming Festival they original PRed over a year ago. The event goes by a number of different monikers. Probably some machination thought up by Santiago Ramos and Zodiac Brands in order to get multiple PRs out. And again, they are third rate events you have to pay to go to. Even the entrants have to pay to have their movies included. It's just a small time event run by a small time promoter. Attendance at these things is always minimal.
Did anyone notice that MRIB didn't even bother to file an extension for the financials due? Perhaps a case of why bother? Just keep the bad news under wraps, keep selling shares and be fully exited by the time the new debt matures this month and the stock finally goes to zero.
The MRIB plan seems to be identical to 2010. Shut the company down. Do one or two more random bogus PRs over the next six or seven months while dumping shares and Margrit collects it all while making no effort to do anything but cash out. Let's face it. There are no employees. There are no offices. There is no operating cash. There is no market or advertising and Margrit could sell a bucket of water to a guy on fire. I doubt she's even trying. If anything she's probably selling cases of Emerald Castle to her pals in little Armenia in Glendale off the MRIB books. Still waiting for any logical explanation of why the brand was kept a secret other than for the purpose of theft.
Regardless, with no sales and no one selling MRIB is for all intents and purposes out of business. Haven't heard a word from Margrit or MRIB since October. And remember, the same situation in 2009 ended with Nina telling a shareholder via Facebook, "great things and big news coming for MRIB!". That would be the last time anyone would hear from MRIB for four years.
Donating a couple cases of vodka over a year ago to some second rate D-lister pay to enter promotional event is no indication of a company being in business. Just another crappy non-event no one will attend. No, MRIB is clearly not in operation other than doing as little as possible and as cheaply as possible to keep the charade going with the appearance of being operational in order to finish dumping the stock. Wondering if we may have seen the last financials we'll ever see as MRIB seems to be circling the bowl. This turd may flush yet. But there will be no good news coming. All mentions of good news and huge things coming is pure made up nonsense. The pump is over and the dump is on.
The great MRIB dump continues. Plenty of shares available. The dumper is even taking the smaller volume trades now. Shouldn't be long before we see $.0003.
Well, the good news is I'm sure you can get all the stock you want, especially at $.0004. Just have to make it worth the dumper's while with a large enough order. $200 buy isn't going to get them to bite. And as for the vodka, even better news is you can get it mail order for $7.99 a bottle at Mission Liquor versus $30 at the Burbank Costco. As for any further communications to or from MRIB I'd say that ship has sailed. Most likely with Margrit, passport in hand, headed to a non-extradition country like Spain or Brazil. LOL.
There's no guessing Gold. Margrit has obviously been selling this Emerald Castle since 2010. You can call any of a half a dozen liquor stores that I found in a short search and they have it in stock between $7.99 and $9.99. But considering the label approval came in 2010 and MRIB reported no sales after 2010, it begs the question, who got paid for the Emerald Castle Marani sitting on shelves?
And we all know the vodka is the same stuff. All $2 a bottle hooch contracted out to some contract distiller paid by the shell company Wine Plant of Eraskh. MRIB pays Wine Plant God knows how much a bottle and everything over $2 a bottle goes back to Glendale, CA in small undetected cash wires right under the nose of the IRS. Perhaps places like a certain Armenian on Glen Oaks Blvd. where there are 16 companies listed in a single 1000 sq. ft suite (one buried in CA records happens to be Marani Foods). Sort of like Tustin and their host of scam companies. By the way, Eco Investments is now defunct along with Zodiac Brands. Poof!
MRIB is more than just a scam and confidence game. IMO it's a serious criminal enterprise that has bilked investors out of more than $100 million. One of the residents at Red Hill Road shows an $84 million default and deficit. MRIB shows $30 million. Where did all this money go? And God only knows what they made on the stock pump and dump in addition to the capital raise and subsequent loss. Sorry bud, MRIB and their affiliates? All a total verifiable and provable scam.
IMO, this looks like a serious money laundering operation. Margrit can try and sue me but I'm going to be looking for where $500K in payments to Wine Plant of Eraskh ultimately went for what seems to potentially be a container of $2 a bottle hooch went.
The inventory just vanished off the books. The other possibility is that it was booked as a purchase at X and then put into inventory at a fraction of that. Well, I got news for you Margrit, that's a felony offense. Illegal conversion and conveyance over the wire. Big no-no. Not the same stuff Margrit? Well, who cares? Why didn't you tell any one about it? Didn't want anyone to know it existed? 100% profit from whatever could be sold at the expense of shareholders without them knowing?
For Margrit I hope that orange is the new black because it certainly looks like there's an orange jumpsuit in her future. Update your passport Margrit. But then again, IMO I think you're already on your way to Spain. Then on to Armenia where there's no extradition policy. Neat operation. Now I know why the selling accelerated the last few weeks. Look or a big MRIB dump this week. June 15th and 30th are dates to mark. Should be over by then. $600K in notes come due.
Why would a company come out with a product/brand and not tell anyone about it? Where are the 4000 cases that were ordered from Wine Plant? Were they Emerald Castle? Did MRIB pay $15 a bottle for $2 hooch with a different label and then sell it out the back door?
A lot of serious questions here need to be answered. Bottom line is much more than 4000 cases are missing from inventory given sales reports. Since spring 2010 we have close to 7000 cases shipped in addition to $100K in existing inventory and total sales of $32,000 gross since. Something is definitely not kosher with the MRIB books. IMO, this is looking more and more like a criminal endeavor every minute. Margrit admits to a second "secret" brand. The only response is it's of lower quality? WTF? She kept it secret? This woman can't be trusted as far as you can throw a piano. Total schemer.
Sheesh. 15 days. It's still a death sentence for MRIB. Denying MRIB has the debt obligation versus correcting me on the maturation date is just yet again protecting MRIB and Margrit from the reality of the situation in a deceptive way and an attempt to suppress the truth about the MRIB situation.
That said, I assume you now agree that there are two debt obligations coming up on the 15th and the 30th? The question is what is MRIB going to do about them? It appears that the obligations total $600,000 but I only see $300,000 in possible liability unless MRIB took the balance of the debt in cash. Either way given current PPS MRIB will be maxed out on A/S by the end of next month if they have to issue shares to cover the debt obligations.
So if MRIB is paying for product and it's being sold by Margrit Enterprises with no money going to MRIB you're ok with that? That's what is happening if you're not aware. All expenses paid by shareholders and all sales collected by Margrit.
Just for kicks. And to prove Margrit is a complete liar and thief. Won't take much effort so why not? should be fun to see if Margrit is full of shit or not, right? So what's your response to MRIB having a brand and sales that they never told anyone about? Do you think MRIB reported Emerald Castle sales? I bet they didn't. They PR all sorts of brands they never had or sold yet here's one that's on shelves and no one knew about it. Strange. More like criminal. Matter of time. Total shut down on July 1 when the debt comes due but we'll have a little MRIB fun before that.
Plenty of leftover MRIB product on shelves that no one could sell. Some of the inventory is clearly over five years old. Typical for a company that's gone out of business.
Saw this elsewhere...
Margrit says: "Emerald is less refined in quality" its not the same hooch. Chatted with her on her private FB
So Chewie, as of June 30th you can probably expect MRIB to be at $.0001 and worthless. They have more debt due in one fell swoop than the company is worth. No need to report financials. It's all over July 1.
On June 25, 2014 the Company entered into, an 8% $300,000, one-year convertible promissory note maturing on June 25, 2015. An initial advance of $150,000 was received by the Company on July 3, 2014.
On June 30, 2014 the Company entered into, a 4% $300,000, one year convertible promissory note maturing on June 30, 2015
Dumping continues. Has to be Margrit or afffiliate. No other source. Company is out of business trying to sell off whatever stock they have left.
Nope. Last financials show $600,000 in loans due June 15th, 2015. $300K in cash already payable. You are mistaken. MRIB will be bankrupt at that point. Just fact. And how do you explain the sale of Emerald Castle vodka? Not on the MRIB books. Looks like criminal activity to me.
I don't think so Popeye. Everyone knows Brazil was a ruse now. But the bag holders, folks under water and the flippers will continue to promote it in the hope of keeping MRIB relevant. The truth is MRIB shut down and went out of business for all intents and purposes back in November when they let go of all the employees, halted selling efforts and abandon their offices. The only reason MRIB bothered with the last financials was yet again, to keep up appearances and keep the stock trading. And why haven't we seen the latest financials? Aside from what is sure to be abysmal sales, we will get to see any and all new deals they cut on shares in Q1 2015 which I have a feeling MRIB would rather not let us see. And remember there's a big milestone date coming up. June 15th. That's when two huge notes come due for MRIB. I'd say we won't see financials until after that date.
No. Never was. Why do you think Margrit waved around the FINRA document on Money TV? MRIB is and has always been about appearances and convincing investors that their fiction is reality. Fake Brazil contract, get a FINRA document. Why not just disclose the contract terms?
Other examples? There will be no dilution or toxic financing? Easy, reduce the A/R to give the impression of such all the while issuing out to the max new A/R before more than doubling it less than a year later while issuing out a billion new shares.
How about profitability by Q2 2014? No problem. Pay a dividend. What most people don't realize is that the big beneficiaries were the insiders who got a 5% bonus on their zero basis stock.
Nothing at MRIB is real as they present it. It's either a wild exaggeration or an outright lie. Brazil is at the top of the list. They haven't even gotten label approval for Brazil. The shipment supposedly scheduled for Brazil was headed to the U.S. the whole time. Tax stamps, my ass.
Popeyemag is dead on. MRIB $.0005s would fill in a heartbeat. Margrit or whoever is dumping is in a hurry. Heading out of town soon? LOL. I really don't think you'd have any problem getting filled at $.0004 but not at small volume. The dumper isn't stupid. They're not going to shoot themselves in the foot and destroy the PPS on a $50 trade and screw up their dumping grounds. What they don't want to see is $.0003.
What's your bid and volume? I'm sure you can get all the MRIB shares you want at the ask and most likely a ton more at the bid. What they won't do is let the PPS fall to $.0003 on a $50 trade. Put in a 5 million order at $.0004 and I bet you get it. At $.0005 and I'm sure you'd get it.
There's no shut out by MMs. It's a shut out on the flippers who are trying to flip their $.0004 and $.0005s. They thought they'd get out with a profit having seen MRIB moving at $.0006-.0007 but I suspect those were minimal volume matched trades by the dumper to lure the flippers in. There's no one else buying above $.0004 and soon to be less, other than the dumper and their buys aren't going to let any of their buys and cash go out of their circle. It's a pretty simple game but outsiders are subject to the insiders rules. Never play other people's games for money.
The dumping continues. Looks like $.0004 is the new price level for MRIB. $.0003 is right around the corner. The metering of the sales tells me it's an insider and not a financing source. Toxic financiers unload as soon as they can at whatever they can get. With no new issues it seems it would have to be someone sitting on a large amount of shares who couldn't or wouldn't do such. So who couldn't? Well Margrit is the best bet. We know she had some kind of sweetheart deal and got 7 million preferred shares with her brother a year and a half ago. I'm wondering what the terms were.
Just hypothetically, if those shares converted to common restricted after a year with a minimum safe harbor of six months they would start hitting the market in... uh... March-April 2015. Just about when this selling trend started. And the dumping has just been too darn consistent to be existing commoners getting out. It's been a systematic dump and at levels that tell us the stock was acquired for little to no cost basis. Can't see it being anyone else but Margrit or an affiliate or control interest. Anybody else have any logical answers?
My DD on MRIB was questioned so here are the links|

That's right. There is no Wine Plant of Eraskh. Just some contract distiller churning out swill for pennies. Athen MRIB pays some shill shell company five times as much as it costs to produce. It's a textbook skim. And it's looking like a felony crime now versus just some stock fraud. And it's not selling very good. That is shown in the reports. It's not selling at all and the company is out of business.
