is... wishing Americans would wake up before it is too late.

Yep, saw that one ...
What kind of politician could not want that sort of thing stopped, NOW, IMMEDIATELY, FOREVER, COMPLETELY?
Well ....... not quite, but I'm working on it! LOL
I have had three Opus X sticks, and they were good. That's about it though, as far as anything in the $25.00 range or higher.
I guess I'll just have to make do with my Cohiba Black Supremos, and Ghurka Centurians... for now.!
You know how to make a guy feel truly deprived, CM ...
Oh, man, you know it!
$41.50 back then ... was two weeks work!
Keeps on creeping .... just a day or two more, each time.
It's all true, of coure, but to do anything with it, Romney's campaign has to bring all this together, tie it up in a neat little bundle, and make sure everyone in the country gets it .... TV, radio, papers, blogs ...
And in the windup, even though this is all common sense to many, there are still a substantial number out there who will vote for those fancy tailor made suits, and those teleprompter inspired 'emotional' pleas, record and facts be damned.
Wish I were as confident as Noonan.
I have absolutely no doubt.
The dems like people to think they're the underdogs.
I can not buy that for a minute.
You mean, size doesn't matter?
Nice signature, BTE .. but I think I preferred the last one .. LOL
I can't differ with any of that.
Just seems he can't shake the 'kook' image he acquired the first time he ran ... But Texans continue to put him in office, so he must be doing good for them.
It is amazing how useful that left hand can be!
Pretty cool! I may have to try to look for one of these on my next outing to the Sporting goods store!
I can see where knowing you have a good smoke waiting .. could mean a hell of a lot. I well understand the need for a little touch of home and civility in any foreign land.
You make sure you stay in touch here, both before and after you ship out. Need to hear from ya every once in awhile!
Well, well, that little party sure didn't last very long, did it?
Oh my gosh .. you mean I have been wrong all these years?
It is really funny how different doctors have such varying views of how long the patient has to wear that dang sling.
I ditched mine (with partial blessing of the doc's PA) after 2 1/2 weeks and started driving (though they told me at first, five - 8 weeks). I met a guy in therapy whose doctor told him everyone he operates on wears the thing for 16 weeks, minimum. Criminey, I'm not that far along yet ... and I'm semi-functional already. It seems there would be somewhat more of a concensus by now ... seeing as this is not a new procedure by any means. I understand some things are case-to-case basis ... but 2 1/2 weeks versus 16 weeks, and everything in between .. doesn't seem to make a lot of sense (to my admittedly fried brain!)
I think we could all use some brush up/tactical tips, every time we get the opportunity. I know I surely can. Thanks!
Newt will go, kicking and screaming ... but I'll believe he'll go next week, when I see it.
Yes sir - to paraphrase a line from a favorite movie ....
"I love the smell of cordite in the morning"!
I guess we just get hard headed as we get older ... but I saw plenty of 'seniors' who were fighting their therapist's efforts every step of the way. It was amazing, to me, why they didn't want to do anything to 'get better'.
Yeah, I figured some wiseacre would chime in with something like that! LOL
The nurse who caled me two days after surgery to check on me nearly flipped when I told her I had dome 1000 reps the previous day with the little rubber ball. She 'suggested' I back off a bit. Of course, I listened (not!)...
It's amazing how something so simple could become the highlight of the day, when there's nothing else to do but sit around in front of the TV.
Paul's main problem, I think, is that he just doesn't present the 'image' people want in a president. Silly reason, I know, but I have always thought that was his main problem.
Glad to hear that! I nearly wore mine out too...
I'm doing OK I think, and my doctor actually told me to 'get lost and not come back unless I had a problem' on my last visit on April 6th. I'm doing PT on my own now, working out every day on the exercises my therapist showed me, and others too. Also go out walking almost every day, and put a couple miles on the old New Balances.
Getting ready to go shooting here in a few days - doc cleared me for "anything up to and including an M-16" .. He's a former Air Force doctor, and is familiar with the ARs. Have to wait until at least July or August for anything with more recoil, and then only anything that doesn't cause any pain. But, I can go and shoot my handguns, 22 rifles and my AR-15. They're all fun anyway.
I hope you recovery goes as well as mine has so far. Sounds like "the big guy" is doing OK as well.
Be safe, and if they tell you to do 10 reps of something, do 12, or 15. I stayed in trouble with my therpist all the time, for that very reason.
Are you squeezing the rubber ball?
I did one heck of a lot of that the first few days afer my surgery.
That's a classic!
Thanks for posting it ..
Agree 100%. Under any other circumstances I would never vote for Romney, but in this case he is by far the lesser of two evils!
We can only hope republicans retain the house and take the senate, so they can keep his nose to the grindstone and on the straight and narrow (even though the eunichs haven't done a damn thing with Obama, or Holder).
Then maybe, just maybe, in 8 yers we can actually get someone in office who will stand up for the constitution.
And in the meantime, hope Romney surprises us both. I'd like nothing better than to be completely wrong about him, and I imagine you would gladly take that same opinion.
Yes sir, and you too!
I have to mow tomorrow ... always a good opportunity to burn one!
I have seen that one online and in the catalogues .. Haven't tried it yet, but will have to after reading that review. Sounds like another Gurkha hit!
I have liked most every Gurkha I have ever tried, some more than others for sure, and a couple that didn't quite live up to the hype, at least in my opinion, but never really a bad one. I have a five pack of the "Crest" in my 'cooler-dor', just waiting for me to sample .. will be the first for them too.
Be sure and let us know how you like this "Wicked Indie". It sure sounds like a good smoke.
And come around more often .... you've been "AWOL" from the board long enough! LOL
Have a great one today and better one tomorrow.
Just wanted to pass on informtion that I have found a new 'cheap' cigar ... that is just a pretty darn good smoke. They're called "Pirate's Gold", and they're made by Rolando Reyes, the maker of Puros Indios cigars. I ordered a bundle of 20 of these in the 5 X 50 size, with maduro wrappers, and they have proven to be a pleasant, medium bodied smoke that doesn't break the bank. They're normally available for under $2 a stick, and I snagged mine on the cigarbid.com auction site for $20 and change.
If you're looking for a decent 'cheap' smoke, you might give these a try. Good taste, good draw, pretty nicely constructed, and I've had a good even burn on the ones I have smoked.
I am sure you can do a lot worse ... as have I in the past. And at that price you can afford to pass out a few to those moocher buddies.
BOA - let's see, if I recall, they received a pretty good chunk of change in the 'stimulus' program, right? Taxpayer dollars.
What does that say about BOA? They are typical Obama supporters.
Nope - I'm not that energetic. I buy the little critters at the local bait shop!
Hold that thought, because I got detained and placed on 'gardening' duty today!
Oh well ... the fish will wait.
Thanks ... I'll need all the luck I can get!
She's been confused for years ... starting with which side of the aisle she is supposed to be working for! LOL
Yeah, I hear Khadafi's ex-body guard contingent is looking for job ..
Senator Collins' comments, reference the Secret Service sex scandal in Columbia:
I think it will be crickets, actually. The big bluegill are biting, and I do like them rascals after they've received the corn meal & hot peanut oil treatment!
Yep, it's sort of like ......... "so what?" after that!
Settling just a bit now that the sun is setting.
Supposed to be much more agreeable tomorrow!
I thought of that .. so filled my shoes up with rocks!
Walking after that wasn't to comfortable, but it beat flying!
If the wind wasn't blowing the dirt out of the flowerpots (literally), it wouldn't be too bad here actually.
A bit windy for fishing, even.
I know I can't stand to watch that Farid or whatever his name is, on TV ... Such a pompous leftist ...
