All due respect, I think we could weather a recession well; it's going to depend on the talent at the top whether we do or not. The products are in a price bracket where the 'risk/reward' ratio should slide quite easily through a recession....The MARKETING talent is 'key'.
P.S. Not sure Brandon Gentry was a marketing genius but he certainly seemed to have a handle on getting that end further along than Chan, who is a disaster in that position, IMO.
Appreciate your response. Yes, I would imagine all are getting impatient (Robt Friedman, e.g.) So many times I've said Neil is no marketer. (Take #FamilyShield disaster, for example. What a super 'MISS' that campaign was.)
I've often hoped for a merger with PU; Mark seems to be a superb leader and CEO.
The only problem with IGEN as I see it is not having a 'key' marketing person-not sure Abel will do any better-but, Chan's a disaster in that department. Has he ever even heard of 'PowerPoint'?
The opportunity he had to attend the NACO conference and we dont see one contract from that blown opportunity! He should have gone fully prepared with real sales team and full-on production, in fact the other conferences-AGENT Summit-two seasons of Agent Summit-and ZIP!!! (Don't get me started....)
TDA just reported 87M shs traded already; looks like it's halted...TDA has NOT removed the restriction to purchase as yet.
Thanks pxxpy7: Yes, my thoughts, too re: Abel...So, I wonder why the change...(scratching my head).
I don't disagree with your expectations re: price (into Nov likely).
The government awards should only expand, imo; and DOWC and PPT (Now PCF after the purchase of PPT) should also continue to build.
There still could be a 'stellar' turnaround once the bottom is in.
Also, "Installation of Medallion GPS units completed for first group of Counties in New York State expect an additional 350-400 commercial assets to be deployed in Q4"
Yep, it's been a tough ride now for a couple years in spite of regular reports of new contracts, city, county, state and federal awards; patent improvements, credit unions, dealerships; additional functions added to TDS patent, first-time positive bottom line revenues(Q2); and, "Record monthly shipment of 900 units" for September.... There is progress being made. I was reminding myself, also that Chan has purchased about 37M shares personally....We don't have a 'rose garden', but it's not weeds either; there's a great deal there to remind us that we're not betting on a hollow dream...
And, November is coming up quickly...The dream isn't dead by a long shot.
Anyone have thoughts regarding Abel's promotion? What may have precipitated that and/or what it may mean?
Q3. about Nov. 15.

Perhaps then you have bought at the bottom; if you know anything about Elliott Wave/Fibonacci the distance from .0243 and .0018 is 13.5. which would be a perfect Wave II.
Keep in mind we are only one month away from Q3 financials; a couple weeks before another F7.
Im holding.
Wedge is still in tact; no guarantees, but....
By gosh, it is.
Yes, chart patterns breaking down all year, too. :)
It wouldn't surprise anyone.... :(
This insurance co is in acquisition mode-almost daily:
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/pcf-insurance-services-acquires-west-virginia-agency-infuse-insurance-301647190.html
This is the same ins co that acquired Peak Performance Team over one week ago....
That's good because technicals look like it's going a bit lower...and it's only weds....Usually there would be a lot of buying activity if 19 were the low....
After all this time, we've caught onto 'his games'.
Agree, ET. I believe the patent is a 'game-changer'. The latest upgrade added items to the 'reading of driver behavior', also I believe....critical additions that would be highly valuable to credit unions, insurance cos.
You mention what I think is the biggest issue here, Chan's blatant disregard of shareholders.
I cannot say publicly what I think of this guy regardless of his business abilities.
The lack of transparency is a huge issue. He pr's that a valuation of the patent would be completed by 30June but never even hints at the results. He doesn't hold CCs either which is announcing to all shareholders, "I don't give a (&*^) about you,!"
Typically once these cos get established the only thing that moves them up is positive returns...and we' ve had very little of that.

Descending Wedge 1 Yr:
Let's move on...
Thanks, Sarge. And yes, you're right. Most folks don't live in the upper northeastern part of the country, and are not aware of all the dynamics of powerful new york.
I grew up outside Boston and was always aware of how much NYC dwarfed our 'little Hub'.
I think you are using too small a sample...forget NYState, NYC is massive by itself:
"The other three counties are named differently from their boroughs: Manhattan is New York County, Brooklyn is Kings County, and Staten Island is Richmond County.
The Bronx (Bronx County)
Brooklyn (Kings County)
Manhattan (New York County)
Queens (Queens County)
Staten Island (Richmond County)"
The above is New York City.
....just for starters. (Think really BIG!)
It takes time for information to be deceminated throughout agencies (city, county, state transportation departments, traffic and safety, motor vehicle, etc.) ,,,BTW, IGEN's technology already incorporates 'speed' in it TDS patent. I don't think the company has left anything out - #Medalliongps/#MedalliongpsPro is a fully integrated system-and it operates on both 4G and 5G, another advantage.
How many insurance companies made note of this announcement in Insurance Business Magazine on June 2?:
Telematics provider snags NY state contract
https://www.insurancebusinessmag.com/us/news/commercial-auto/telematics-provider-snags-ny-state-contract-411176.aspx
There's a lot of competition out there: “Examples of leading telematics companies selling services via third parties or directly to consumers include Octo Telematics, Targa Telematics, Spireon, Procon Analytics, Ituran, SareKon, PassTime GPS, Mojio, CalAmp (LoJack), Viasat Group and Vodafone Automotive”, said Martin Svegander, Senior Analyst at Berg Insight. " and no mention of little IGEN
This is an article that refers to IGEN's device!!! dated June 8, 2022:
https://www.gsa.gov/about-us/newsroom/news-releases/gsa-fleet-activates-telematics-solutions-saving-~%2415m-06082022
"WASHINGTON – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Fleet team recently activated more than 19,000 new telematics devices. Telematics drive innovation by combining telecommunications and informatics to send, receive, and store data connected with fleet vehicles. By activating these factory-installed devices, GSA Fleet avoided approximately $1,455,000 in installation costs. As GSA continues to expand its telematics program, the agency expects to save a minimum of $775,000 annually in avoided installation costs for new vehicle acquisitions each year." see link above

There should have been a local press release in the new york county in which the IGEN devices were installed...
Trick is finding it!
https://www.government-fleet.com/10175986/igen-networks-awarded-telematics-contract-for-new-york-counties
Sarge: This process that tapioca started is what we all need to be doing-digging deeper...I believe we can learn more details than what Chan is providing and in a more time efficient manner....We can't depend on him to keep us abreast of what 's happening with 'our investment'.
This mechanism (speed limiting) plays only one role in providing vehicle safety where IGEN's technology is 'all-encompassing'.
I found this-not on CNN-but, I believe this may be the news item you refer to: https://www1.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/589-22/mayor-adams-dcas-commissioner-pinnock-implement-new-technology-city-fleet-cars-reduce-speeds#/
It is just that term "speed limiters" that causes me to doubt that it is IGEN's product. (IGEN tech only reports auto behavior, not prevents it.) Am still digging for more information.
Yes, very interesting...Thanks, Will check further...
Can you find the link? Thanks, Great news! I'm finding numerous references from 'cities' to NYState agencies addressing telematics and pilot programs installing 'devices' in vehicles... These articles site excessive speed, alcohol use, etc that needs to be curbed...There is great need for it.
It's all great news for IGEN. With our 'preferred customer' status there should be some activity coming to IGEN at some point, I would think.
