I say NO!
I'm so glad Intuitive didn't buy Cardica. I'm sure Dr. Swanstrom would not have it. The funny is that last year an Intuitive rep said that Intuitive was working on their "own" stapler. I then read somewhere that Intuitive had invested heavily in Cardica. Everybody wants this stapler. I would!
Lol. I wonder if my order for 20,000 shares at 50 cents will ever get filled?
No partnership. I'm drawing conclusions based on him being involved in both companies and the requirement of a stapler for the added surgeries. I could be wrong. Educated guess.
No. That was from the Amedeus days. There is no other 5mm stapler in the world and this would work perfectly with SPORT. Everyone on this board should visit cardicas website. Coranary artery bypass procedures are amazing. Here is Dr. Swanstroms stapler:

I think it sucks short term. But I'm long. Read my posts please. They need a stapler to perform the added applications; Bariatrics and colorectal. Dr. Swanstrom brought the ISRGs stapler to them. It's being refined. I've lost ALOT of money too. But I don't want a half baked product and I wasn't planning to sell most of my shares until around 2030.
I will too. They will not release SPORT without an incorporated stapler which is necessary for GI surgery. It would have to be retrofitted in an ISRG machine but imagine if it is already built into SPORT. But maybe that's why ISRG is delaying release of their SP.
One can only hope. Trolls always seem to hang around.
They need that stapler for colorectal and Bariatric surgery.
From what I can tell the stapler has been used on patients successfully. They are making a second generation but they are not recalling the 220 units that can still be used, so it works. But notice what happens with limited launch. I would bet that Dr. Swanstrom the medical director knew this and this is the stapler that will be part of SPORTs instrumentation. Mark this post!
I agree. One of TITFXs SAB members is or was their medical director. That's been a problem with robotics. Intuitive has been promising a stapler but to no avail.
Wow. Can you post the link?
Can you email the recording of the interview to us?
That's great news. My questions are;
1) With the given extended timeline, will haptic feedback be incorporated?
2) Can they expand on which instrumentation is being added?
3) Why can't they show videos like they have done in the past?
4) Which hospitals did they get their feedback from?
And for you point; What was his opinion on the market reaction?
I thought everyone on this board was anonymous. Do some of you people actually know each other?
They still have to give end of quarter results according to TSX requirements.
They have a working prototype.
Not scratched but enhanced.
Cool. My brother is an architect.
Agreed. Emotionally I don't like the drop in PPS and delay but intellectually I always go back to why I invested in the first place. I would love it for my portfolio to look better today but that's not really why I invested. I invested because I believe in Dr. Fowlers vision after talking to him before he started working for Titan full time. Also, after using the DaVinci Si for 7 different surgeries with lax training I realized that there has to be a better way moving robotic surgery forward. So....
Strong and LongER Titan.
I'm telling you, it's all about the 3D glasses. That was tried in the 90's. A console worked much better.
Thanks. Great insight. Are you an engineer?
The DaVinci Si is currently being used for procedures it was NOT designed for but since they are the only game in town they can get away with it.
Thanks for your diligence.
The first prototype for SPORT was completed in 2013 and has been used and been improved. They have evaluated 30 physical prototypes since than according to the investor presentation. 3D printing makes it cheaper and quicker to build prototypes. There will be more prototyping to get to that design that can be used for all applications. That's the way I understand it anyway. Any engineers want to weigh in?
.....and TRXC is 63% management and 17% institutional owned. I can understand retail investors selling here but why is the "smart money" selling over there?
Uhmm....you need to calm down. I wasn't sure if he told you on Friday or you had a new conversation. Anyway, if your telling the truth....thank you. We've had several other people on the board making claims as to what they've been told by someone with real information.
When did he tell you that?
How about pyelolithotomy? How often are those done in the era of ESWL? I'm surprised they didn't include Sacrocolpopexy. Pretty nifty case to do with the robot. I've watched a urologist do one.
I wrote a respectful letter to Bertner, Hargrove and Fowler
Titan Medicals haptic feedback patent

Article about haptic feedback mentioning Titan Medical and SRI.

I agree but the Zeus robot by computer in motion was used for many CABG surgeries in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I believe it had haptic feedback. It would be interesting to know the patent situation on that. IREP supposedly had force feedback. SPORT 2.0 was was supposed to have haptics. That's the holy grail of robotics.
That's interesting. I didn't know that the DaVinci was being used for vasovasotomies. These procedures are similar to creating an anastomosis in vascular surgery which I do for dialysis access creation (AV fistulas). 2 weeks ago our Intuitive rep asked me if I would consider using the robot to do vascular surgery. I laughed at her but now you've got me thinking.
Same here.
How can SPORT possible do a bilateral vasovasotomy? That's microsurgery.
What do you think another CEO gone would do to PPS now? I will not suggest that in my email.
Do you know Dr. Reiza Raymons email?
You must have not read the cooperate press release in its entirety.

Thanks point. I'll write an email to all management in the morning as well. Does anyone have Dr. Reiza Raymans email?
