GE Aviation plans to invest $92 million and create 200 jobs at a jet-engine manufacturing plant in Lafayette—its first production facility in Indiana and one that could expand to add hundreds of additional workers.
Let's hope that Sigma will have equipment in this plant!

Update on Sigma Labs Stock from 10-Q (14 Nov 2013)
As of September 30 2013:
Shares authorized: 750,000,000
Shares Issued: 559,266,061
Shares Outstanding: 556,516,061
The shares issued will exceed 600,000,000 in the 1st Qtr 10-Q that will come out in May. This will account for the private placement of shares to Rockville Asset Management LTD in early Jan 14.
There will still be over 100 million shares that are authorized but not issued. These shares could be used for another private placement if one of the big guys want to buy a large chunk of Sigma (as talked about in previous posts).
I feel it would be very good for us stockholders to have a major player acquire about a 10% ownership in Sigma. I am not interested in Sigma being bought out, but the PR factor of a major player getting involved would be huge for us.

DaD X 4 - Thanks. I thought you posted it.
DADx4,
Thanks.
Recommend that you delete told sticky - 12849 - it is now redundant.
Recommend that this post become a sticky. It should replace the current sticky that just had the Gregg Morris video.
Dad X 4 - Can you replace the this??
Idemol,
Thanks. I am a big believer in the Hydrogen solution and see it replacing other options in the future.
I have always believed that CNG was just an interim solution and that something else, like solar or Hydrogen will be the long term solution.
How long will it take for the US market to see what is needed and then put the infrastructure in place support Hydrogen across the USA?
Same news as previous post, different format from another blog.

Why is this board so dead?
Given all the activity with Hydrogen lately and the fact that these guys build Hydrogen Fuel Stations, why is this board so dead?
One would think this board would be full of activity.
After today, I am excited to see what Monday brings!
Let's hope that the 15 holds and does not retrace.
The number two was before the acquisition of SunWorks.
Before the acquisition they also had a consultant or two.

(MKTW) EchoDrive(TM) Bolt-On Hybrid Kit Wins Work Truck Show 2014 Green Award
EchoDrive(TM) Bolt-On Hybrid Kit Wins Work Truck Show 2014 Green Award
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI--(Marketwired - Mar 11, 2014) - Echo Automotive, Inc. (OTCQB: ECAU), won The Work Truck Show(R) 2014 Green Award for its EchoDrive(TM) bolt-on hybrid electric kit for fleet vehicles. The award was presented last week during The Work Truck Show 2014 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN. This is the second year in a row that EchoDrive was honored at The Work Truck Show: the product won the Editor's Choice Award for new product innovation at the 2013 event.
The Green Award is given annually to the product at The Work Truck Show that a panel of trade media and fleet manager judges determine best enhances vocational truck fuel utilization.
EchoDrive is a plug-in system that includes an advanced battery, electric motor, inverter and charger. The components work together to provide torque assistance and recover braking energy. While other hybrid systems replace or alter the OEM powertrain, EchoDrive bolts directly to the vehicle. Its non-invasive, cost-effective design saves fuel without affecting the original OEM warranty.
Green Award judges praised EchoDrive for offering a complete fuel-saving package that can be easily added to or removed from existing vehicles. Echo-certified technicians can install EchoDrive in four to six hours using existing mounts, keeping vehicle downtime to a minimum.
"The Green Award is significant because it is judged by actual fleet operators who deal with fuel-related issues every day," said Jason Plotke, chairman and president of Echo Automotive. "The award, plus all the positive feedback we received on the trade show floor, validates that EchoDrive is recognized as a solid solution that can deliver real cost-savings for fleets in a variety of industries."
Work Truck Show attendees were able to test-drive a Ford E-250 cargo van equipped with EchoDrive during the Green Truck Ride-and-Drive held as part of the Show. The Ride-and-Drive offered test-drives on city streets and a closed-access section of the Indianapolis Zoo parking lot, so fleet operators could try sustainable technology vehicles for themselves.

DCM,
I heard there was another company there with a similar product. The other company was also part of the drive and ride event. I did not see their booth.
Do you by chance know the name of this other company? I would like to research them.
Will more institutions start buying once we hit $5.00?
This would help propel us even further.
GLTA!
Is GE better off not buying Sigma??
The way I look at it is that GE is (repeat is) better off not buying SGLB. Since Sigma is known as a company of previous USG Scientists who are working with the US Government Labs and NIST to develop quality standards for the 3D printing industry, these agencies would be less apt to work with Sigma in this process if GE owned them.
Here is the reason. Currently Sigma is viewed as an extension of a US Lab that is in the process of setting the standards of the industry. If GE owned Sigma, then Sigma would no longer be viewed as an extension of the USG. GE would then be viewed by the industry as a company that is trying to dictate the industry standards to their competitors and others. The USG likes to dictate and not be dictated to.
Currently Sigma is viewed as independent from big industry and this independence goes away once a major US Industrial player buys them.
Provided as a point of reference - I am retired from the USG and had exposure to the USG S & T System from 2000 - 2005. Spent time escorting foreign delegations to several US labs during this period. The USG likes to keep distance between their organizations and US Defense companies (Industry).
Just food for thought!
Echo Automotive Bolt-on Hybrid System Takes Home Work Truck Show Green Award
http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/story/2014/03/bolt-on-hybrid-system-takes-home-work-truck-show-green-award.aspx
March 7, 2014
WORK TRUCK SHOW -- Echo Automotive's EchoDrive plug-in hybrid system took home the Green Award from the NTEA'S Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.
Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., Echo Automotive has developed a non-invasive, "bolt-on" plug-in hybrid solution for new or existing vehicles, and expects to deliver the first units to beta-testing fleets in the second quarter.
The Green Award is presented annually to the Work Truck Show product that best advances work truck fuel utilization as determined by a panel of trade media editors and fleet managers.
Echo Automotive will install the units on customers’ existing vehicles, which will immediately be placed back in service within their fleets. Drivers will use the EchoDrive plug-in hybrid powered vans in their standard day-to-day business. Throughout the test period, system data will be captured and reported back to the Echo development team and will be used in fine-tuning the EchoDrive system for production application.
Delivery of production volume units is expected later this year.
“We are pleased to announce that almost all of our first-year production units have been reserved and that we have begun taking orders for 2015,” said Amy Dobrikova, vice president of sales and business development. “Betas will soon be deployed in fleets across the nation within Fortune 500 companies and leading universities, government agencies, municipalities and utilities.
Production of EchoDrive units for the Ford E-Series platform is scheduled to begin later this year. Production for EchoDrive units supporting the GM 2500 and 3500 platform is expected in early 2015.
Driitin.
i believe Alan Hilll stated this after his attendance at the AGMM.
DCM,
Show was good. I was amazed that Echo won the Green Award again. This was good for them. Hopefully it will bring more awareness to the company.
Had a good talk with the VP of Marketing/BD. She confirmed that they have purchase orders in hand for the 2014 units (no number of units given) - yes could be a low number as alluded to on this board. She could/would not confirm when we will see this revenue reflected in the financials. I think GAAP requires them to show this as a sale in the quarter that the PO was received. Perhaps we will see this reflected in the 2013 10-K that should be out soon.
She also showed me the REMY motor that Echo has co-designed with REMY. What I did not realize is that ECHO owns the rights to this motor and will be able to sell it to others that want to use it. This is a whole new revenue stream for Echo. This is good.
I asked about the loan that was taken back in Jan 2013 that had really bad terms. She could not address this issue and recommended that I address it to their media company. The media company will then work the answer with the HQs guys in Arizona.
Again, overall I feel the show was a big success for Echo.
