CYOP Systems Plays to Gaming Market of 50 Million People in United States
Monday February 7, 6:43 pm ET
Video Skill Games at skillarcade.com Easy to Play and Enjoy
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2005--CYOP Systems International Inc. (OTCBB:CYOS - News), a leading provider of online video games and tournaments of skill, publicized today the estimated projections of numbers of players of online games.
Since 1997, the online gamer population has leapt from 5.5 million to 50 million, according to Forrester Research Inc., a Cambridge, Mass., technology consultancy. In the United States, 28 percent of all Internet users visit a video game site and more than 4.8 million play video games over the Internet according to NetValue.
Although men still dominate the gaming world, the majority of mainstream online game players are women. Over 55% of all activity on the five largest game sites was by women. And the average age of online gamers continues to increase. Part of this is due to the overall increase in the proportion of Baby Boomers in the general population. Another factor is that there are more computers in the hands of the older generation. As this group becomes more comfortable with computers they begin to discover games as an entertainment resource. Since they are less likely to own game consoles, online games have become an entry path to the world of games, and a stepping-stone into virtual entertainment.
The myth that most gamers are children also seems to defy changing gaming demographics. In reality, nearly 75% of PC gamers are adults, with only 30% under the age of 18. The Forrester Report indicates that 25% of the on-line population plays games on-line, are 49% woman and 51% men, and have a median age of 39. On-line gamers generate an average yearly income of $49,000/year and play an average of 13 hours/week.
Here's how it works: A customer enters a gaming site powered with CYOP's licensed software; CrediPlay. The consumer opens an account by completing an information form. A credit card is used to deposit a minimum of $5.00 USD, although larger deposits may be made.
The gamer wants to play a tournament of skill and chooses a game to play. All games integrated with CrediPlay are approved as games of skill versus games of chance. The Tournament Entrance Fee and the Network Maintenance Fee are posted along with the minimum number of players and a time limit on the tournament. The customer opts to play the tournament and the fees are debited from the gamer's account. If the gamer wins the tournament, his or her account is credited with the total amount of the Tournament Entrance Fee from the tournament.
Tournaments generally run no longer than five minutes and involve five people on average.
Mitch White, CEO of CYOP, commented, "The growth of I-Gaming commerce, coupled with the overall increase in the Internet population, will provide substantial traffic and income to the company. A strong marketing foundation is being established to enable positive growth of memberships and revenue by constantly examining strategies moving forward and looking at the future. And maintaining excellent customer focused service will continue to be the most critical element of our success."

i completely agree. eom.
i understand that, and thats been about how long nite's been there...half the time. imo we can compete all we want with clyp but the only ones who will win, or have won during this conversion, were the ones who bought in the 002's. the rest have had to wait and imo that game will soon change. now given this thing will very likely not blow up in our faces and take off, i do believe it will be a nice, measured ride up as a result of the completion, would you agree?
yuppers. glty!
clyp is def cornell's main man. nite, you probably are right, though i find their "teamwork" very timely on the ask at times. can't wait to see how this developes nonetheless! CYOS
perhaps, but if you have been following nite over the past 3 months you know how many sares he has accumulated sittin and soakin up the bids sells. it's not necessarily many MMs shortin, it could very well be just one. If nite was the "one" (hypothetical), he very well could have covered his position over the past three months. until the SB2 is finished it is anyone's guess. you are absolutely right in your theory, but it is just as good as everyone else's at this point imo. it will def be interesting!
JVGI 0025 break would be excellent!
perhaps everyone is aware of cyos' situation with cornell. there are less than 10milion shares (on the high side) left to convert. and imo, it will be done by early to mid-week. once this happens i believe we will see more of the "prowler effect". for the most part, you will see much more predictable results from cyos once clyp and nite are done with these conversions on the ask. it is obvious the ball is in their court everyday but unlike most other MMM, we know WHY. we'll see what happens! all jmho. glty!!
EZTO HOD 03. eom.
EZTO UTing 027 x 03. eom.
buckey i love the siggy, lmao. he's such an ass!
JVGI going now!! eom
0035 x 0036 (1/nite x 1/clyp)...buys are tearin up 36, could UT shortly. CYOS
CYOS - nite still suckin up bid sellers to no end. 0035(1)x 0037(1)
USXP .010 x .0101 (3x2) lookin good.
buyers did a good job knawling at USXP ask today. should be close to a reversal. .0099(4) x .01(2)
nice trade - GZ. no vol for JVGI in last minutes. i'm gonna hold for mon. you in?
USXP MMs have a TON of 01 shares. build has been slowly building all day - avg vol - .0099(4) x .01(3)
yup, still lookin good! JVGI
JVGI L2? tia
super mario just lost his fireball power and now he has to face king koopa without even a mushroom!!! <:-0 RUT ROH! LMAOOOO.
thanks bob and LMM! eom.
FSIJ L2?
JVGI seems to like 0018 support. any additional volume is a good bet for a new HOD test. I agree LMM, break of 0025 is huuuuuuge. JMHO
JVGI L2? tia
added JVGI, my one and only add...she better not let me down lol
EZTO crappin out on low vol :(
whats L2 look like? JVGI?
JVGI looking like it will fill the small gap perhaps.
you'll definitely get filled! hopefully its the whole thing, shares get more and more scarce down there with every day!
yes indeedy! all the guns are in place, should be a lot of fun! glty!
yeah its not much. and i agree, put a PR out afterwards and to pennyland we go! JMHO, CYOS.
JVGI nice chart. in 0024. eom
yup, cornell is almost done the SB2; something like 17MM left. i expect it to hold above 0035 until then. afterwards, who knows but my guess is upward and onward. jmho! CYOS
