The client did a series A... Then came into the Kia dealership and bought a car from GP.
.687 today, around a 10 year low. It sucks for us U.S. holders and the company, who raised all their capital in a weakening currency.
At this point, about $6.50. lol
I'll reinvest in the aquiring company, assuming they'll realize the full potential.
I think he is a big VHC holder.
$100,000+ invested?
CustomerS, plural, want to see specific data. Lebby is working to satisfy their requests while streamlining packaging, increasing IP protection/value. Everyone has been waiting forever to see a deal of some kind put together. From Lebby's POV, I would guess it is too soon.
I was pleased with the update. I thought it was honest/straightforward. One line seemed to specifically address my own complaint about their creation of new materials is a major setback for investors. I believe Lebby is working very hard and it is difficult to visibly see or experience any gains from it currently.
Recession would be great right about now. We can finally justify slashing JMs pay.
Lucky for us, the investors financing his ambitions, Lebby is interested in keeping his peers at ECOC informed so maybe we can pick up some tidbits that keep the stock out of the .50s.
Over the years I've heard sarge was two different people, both of whom are still are invested. I trust Lebby will do a much better job handling the LSS.
True, and board sentiment is directly coupled to the share price.
At the time, that was an accurate post. All the progress made over the years led up to Dr. Alan Mickelson applying the ultra thin-film coatings of our polymer on the test strips (a very difficult task) for the LSS. But, unfortunately, testing did not go as planned. The material was not consistent enough to make Lightwave worthy of partnership or acquisition. It was in every respect, the best Lightwave could do at the time and a failure.
This is more my personal take; Lightwave believed they had achieved the end result they wanted but the LSS tested in ways that Lightwave did not, and perhaps the LSS did not permit Lightwave to know and prepare for the complete testing regiment. In some areas, the material performed very well, in others it was inconsistent. The shortcomings came as a surprise and was a major setback. Tom was furious. I believe this is why he declared that we would beat Intel at the next SHM.
Similar proclamations have been made in the past.
The news issue, I don't see a company insisting Lightwave cold shoulder their investors unless Lightwave is bending over already for just one company

The irish bull 1 said: Anyway spoke to the company today. My impression is no real news for another 3 to 6 months. Their attitude is if we had read all the filings we should realize this. So .. I'm as frustrated as anyone but realize waving my Pom Pom all day isn't going to change anything. The fact that they are burning 1 million every quarter and giving pay raises to guys like JM in a pre revenue company is disgraceful. 300 grand to do payroll is out of hand. The board is nonexistent and has always been. I believe they have a good shot at succeeding but details like a tight budget, getting real financing, increasing shareholder value and communication is not on there check list.
I don't have any opinion about the news timing but I notice they seem to lose the desire to put a PR out around the same times they are going to tap LPC for money.
I own the stock because I believe Lebby will make something happen for investors. But I agree about the BOD. And I also put blame on shareholders themselves. So many, unlike yourself, are passive and embrace that "only the lab matters" philosophy and turn a blind eye to aspects of the company that clearly need improvement.
Owns a mining stock, dislikes the pro business administration in place. Cognitive dissonance 101.
I'm not being pessimistic, just having a sense of humor in a familiar post format. New materials have shown up several times. Perk, Perk NR, Perk Indigo, Corning blend, then three more I believe. I think this current material will be the last one we develop on our own. But they did gloss over the delay that puts us on like it's not a big deal.
Pitcook said; "No I got you inversor, just being as sarcastic"
Glad you have a sense of humor.
Here a 2 Reasons to have a sense of humor when holding LWLG...
1. MGMT funds their operations with the support of retail investors but won't put out a 1 page update on time to keep them happy and buying "because things are going well" Haha, that's some logic there. I think they pulled Epstein off suicide watch for the same reason.
2. Just when you've got a material working and ready, a new one pops up like whackamole. Surprise, here's a 12 month delay lol, no big deal guys.
If you and kmack are interested, RKF302 and I will put in a combined 700,000 share bid at .30 cents so you can exit. You can buy back in the .20s
I meant because they're such and annoying bunch.
Our shareholder base is the largest motivation MGMT has for getting the company sold.
They have options and stock awards. Jim has never spent his own money buying LWLG. Tom bought 40,000 shares back in 2008. They definitely will profit from the sale of the company. You would think it would be motivation to run a tighter ship.
They definitely do. But there is a disconnect between the scientific and the investment community so it doesn't translate into something tangible for shareholders.
I believe Lebby abides the business as usual from Jim/Tom while he progresses with the science. We never had anyone at the company who could even speak at, let alone lead, conferences like Lebby is doing. Too bad his magic has boundaries
I do believe we were. Later, Tom led our tour group and expertly demonstrated how to speak over the lab staff.
Like they say with our other stock, we've made world-class market cap gains! lol
It's not a complicated move from NASDAQ's side. Plenty of ADRs already on their junior exchange. The company should be getting on with it. Hard to speculate on what they are waiting for or trying to complete first.
When did you become a shareholder?
We've been here before. The company gets quiet and investors get restless. Things are probably going fine but mismanaging investors ahead of tapping LPC seems to be a habit.
No disrespect to Lebby, but I'd much prefer him to have a stronger partner in the office. We can't expect Lebby to do everything.
I think gatesoft kept deleting your posts because he misread it or misunderstood it. A caucasian is a drink, not a personal attack.
Options for people who can close deals sounds like a good idea to me, we've given enough to past CEO's who couldn't.
Yes, it is very much on topic to discuss what the very company this message board is about may be doing with the resources that they obtain from us, the investors. Saying that I emailed the company asking if they pay anyone to post information is not off-topic. The company would not confirm that they do not do this. They also would not confirm what Marcelli's son (who has listed himself as a consultant or something on LinkedIn) does for the company. Coincidence?
Probably a coincidence. But still On-Topic.
Can we get Avi Katz to replace Jim? He's available since he figured out how to sell his company (that wasn't nearly as good as Lightwave...)
My last email wasn't answered.
Does your theory involve him never waking up next to a horsehead?
Trading decently lately. Buyers will feel pretty smart in 3-6 months.
The board used to be better. Some people just go tired of spending time watching it everyday after 10 years but still hold, others I think we're driven away by the rhetoric.
Ironically, this is exactly how it was trading the day before Lebby was announced CEO. No one seemed to know. Same with the advisory board news, Miller comments. I think they have the ability to surprise everyone. Under Tom, Jim/Phil trading was more telling.
Even if things are sideways, at least LPC will run us through the magic shareprice increaser again.
I was glad to make a swing trade from it before but I am not sure about down here. Summer for Duluth must be the slowest time.
You don't think it's clever to wonder if Lightwaves likely future partner, Intel, asked for some silence while they're unloading their silicon photonics branch (which I believe Lebby help create) onto Apple?
Or did you think I replied to sixshot?
