This is interesting,
What patents or licenses is he licensing?
I didn't even bother listening to the call today. I knew nothing would come out of this.
The only rational thought I can possibly muster is that Liquidmetal is not allowed to announce anything until Apple is ready (presuming Apple intends to use this) and that Apple said during the original negotiations, "we won't be using your alloy until 2016 at the earliest so make sure you can raise enough funds to keep the doors open until then.
If that didn't happen, then I'm sorry to say we are all screws (about to get screwed)
Watts,
$0.20 will provide me with a significant profit which to me is equal to my dignity.
Watts,
What question should I ask at the conference call?
That is probably why they fired those two clowns. They needed to boost the appearance of moving forward.
Watts, I am not in disagreement with you. I only pray we get one final shot in the arm so that I can get out with my dignity.
Today's call will be a non-event
I have asked many questions on conference calls. The trick is to be ready and when they ask you to hit the button to ask a question, hit it immediately.
And don't ask a stupid question.
I wish someone would literally rip Steipp a new asshole on the call.
A question like, "what makes you think you deserve a raise or increase to your incentive compensation when this company has zero revenues, no real volume shipments to speak of and has failed to produce on an equally impressive basis"?
I bet all you'd hear is crickets and then the call would end because Steipp would need to change his diaper
Apple only has the right to CE. I think Apple will be entering non-CE and that will allow us to receive revenues at the time that agreement is signed.
Otherwise, Apple will create their own proprietary alloys and maybe we will receive access to those as they are developed using IP from the LQMT vaults.
Night,
Actually, you're incorrect. Software encryption can always be unencrypted. You just have to have the key.
If Apple were to design the phone in a way where all the information is held on the physical device and the chip where it is kept is designed in such a manner that it is physically destroyed upon tampering, then it would be a solution in which Apple provides 100% privacy with no manner to assist the government with their prosecutions.
Jolly,
If we were to land a big contract or ship in an Apple device, how high do you believe we could trade based on the order or publicity?
I'm serious!
Serious question for Watts!
I don't know if you've been following the stories where governments are requesting Apple unlocks phones in order to assist in prosecutions..
If Apple decided to put all secure information on the chip level and used the hooks and loops patent to damage the chips in the event of tampering, then the data would be lost and Apple would not be able to unlock the phones as it wouldn't be a software problem (of unlocking) but rather a hardware problem (where unlocking would physically destroy the data).
Am I wrong?
But we would get money from Apple as they do not have a license to manufacture cars
FULL CAR PANELS!
International manufacturer of lightweight metal components for automotive is opening a new laboratory in Southeast Michigan--they have an immediate opening for an engineer or a technician with a strong hands on background in metallography--this person will be very hands on in the lab testing metals and other materials and examining with a microscope the results--Should be a self starter who wants to grow and is willing to be very hands on-
It would be nice if we could somehow prove Apple is using this in mass production.
Doug Smock has a new post on www.themoldingblog.com
this stock is a mirage
When I say product, I don't mean a test as a paper clip
I know this stock has been diluted a million times. That said, they are generating a lot more interest than they ever have.
I pray every night that Apple uses this in a product. This stock would have a 100 million plus volume day easily. It would happen twice in a row. This stock would jump to $0.29 on day one. Maybe it would jump to $0.45 on day two.
Maybe it would continue rising... Maybe we could all dump and be happy!
I would be!!!
As of when? Commodities are very low.
I know commodities have been falling dramatically in value.
How much does it cost to procure one kilogram of Liquidmetal compared to one kilogram of aluminum?
Lockheed eyes overhead cuts of up to 30%
Liquidmetal had the beryllium based alloy.
Now, they have a beryllium-free alloy.
In the future, hopefully Apple will develop a beryllium-free, titanium-free alloy and file it under Crucible. If they do, the rest is history!
Once amorphous alloy formulations are cost effective and we have access to the most advanced machines in this field, then we will be king
If Apple discovers they can build all of their products using Liquidmetal and manufacture much more efficiently, then I would think they will take that opportunity and use their supply chain to drive the cost down.
How many ingots can be injected simultaneously?
How many cavities per mold?
How many cases per ingot?
Also, how many iphone cases can one CNC machine machine per hour? I think the comparison is relevant
Microsoft just sold out of the new surface book at launch. That is good news. Apple will be forced to pivot and differentiate their product. LQMT can't be copied and nobody else will be able to
Produce it in volume meaning they can't compete on price..
This and the six year time estimate of
Atakan Peker are hopefully spot on. Next year could be an amazing year for innovation!

Companies can fly under the radar for years before they hit.
Hopefully we will experience a similar article in the future.
It's about manufacturing efficiency!
It's about proprietary materials.
It's about marketing and exclusivity!
When we were $0.05, nobly thought we'd see $0.20 again. Only we saw $0.40.
I'm just saying, we may still have a chance.
If Apple is able to find a way to make much larger pieces, then they would buy the company for automotive applications.
What do you truly believe maximum potential for LQMT is? A few years ago, we traded at $.05/share and rocketed to $.20 in a day. Six months later we were at $0.40/ share before dropping to where we trade today.
If we get orders and contracts, do you think this hits $0.20 again?
Just curious as to your thoughts. What if we get ISO certification?
So you guys think they will declare bankruptcy and then Kang will own all the non-CE assets outright!?!?
I would think they would want Saga and Engel to move some units and give it real value. Then once the tech is fully proven, just sell the company to the highest bidder.
Or could it all be smoke and mirrors
Weer is independent under NASDAQ rules. Why do NASDAQ rules apply to him
If they wanted to go private, what would they be forced to pay for the shares?
Do you remember the Ideo phone. This was to be a Liquidmetal design and the CEO of Ideo was very good friends with Steve Jobs and actually visited Steve while he was in the hospital.
The videos suck. The okeefes sound so dumb. And don't even get me started on steipp
I smell trouble.
I hope this company creates something soon!
