Well, I still haven't bought any shares of COLFF. I've pretty much been distracted by other things and really haven't thought about it.
I guess the price of oil could blow past the 70 buck level but I really don't see that happening any time soon. I think the chances are pretty good that OAS will follow along the path that quite a few other oil companies have trod. They're just taking their time about it.
Yes it was a bloodbath but I'm betting that most of what the OAS pps lost will be regained over the next few days.
OAS is taking a steel toed boot to the butt today.....If I were to buy a few shares, that would be the 15th time that I have owned a small portion of Oasis Petroleum.
Hope all is well with you.
I looked at BAYK a few years back but never bought shares.

They probably need to double up on it. LOL
In years gone by something like this would have caused everyone to run for the hills. Now, only their shareholders will be in danger of needing to change their Depends.....My guess is that this bank will be considered to be too big to fail and every measure possible will be used to keep the bank standing.
I also think his treatment of VNRRQ has been spot on!
I've been reading 56Chevy's posts since 2012 and each one has always been a solid piece of DD regardless as to what stock he was posting about.
When I'm not busy with stocks like QTMM and getting my posterior whacked at the bridge table I go fish SC every chance I get, usually the coast.
The QTMM board looks like a fun place to be. I just might park my posterior here for a while.
He did a pretty good job of digging up some interesting stuff...… RIBT is going to do well.
It's almost time to slam the lid on another quarter y'all. I wonder if the numbers will be good enough to get the pps to finally surge past the two buck level? Since I'm always the optimist, I'll say yes.
HDII looks like it is going to be a fun stock to own very soon.

I think the fairly steady and consistent stream of insider buying has me convinced that the future is bright for RIBT.
I've been thinking about buying a few more shares. It certainly won't happen over night but I am convinced RIBT will hit the 10 buck level.
Good morning sunshine. Nope, I'm not lost at all. I'm just out early taking orders for my new librul launching device that's just about to hit the market. This thing is going to make me a zillionaire! Can I put you down for one? LOL LOL LOL LOL

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My initial impression is that SOHI has a future but it could be that any appreciable rise in the pps is way off in that future. Although I don't see the company falling down and going boom anytime soon, I don't see any exciting activity about to take place either. What I do see, at this point, is just another boring financial stock trying to figure out what direction to take.
Please note, about the only thing I can concentrate on for over five minutes anymore is bridge, fishing, or a history book so my evaluation of SOHI is certainly not the best one you could get.

Sortis Income Fund Delivers Ninth Consecutive Quarter of Returns That Exceed Targets
Mon April 29, 2019
PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sortis Income Fund, LLC announced today an 11.33% net annualized return to its investors for the first quarter of 2019. The Sortis Income Fund, a real estate mortgage fund that holds short-term notes collateralized by real estate, is managed by Sortis Holdings Inc. (SOHI) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Sortis Financial, Inc.
“Although the primary focus of this fund is capital preservation, we’ve delivered nine consecutive quarter of earnings that exceed our 10% target,” said Jef Baker, Fund Officer. “We’ve been able to deliver attractive yields to investors while maintaining conservative loan-to-values on short-term real estate loans.”
The fund returned 12.24% to investors on an annualized basis in 2017, and 11.12% on an annualized basis for 2018, exceeding the fund’s 10% to 11% target return for investors. The fund is accessible via the Fidelity Wealthscape platform or directly from Sortis Holdings at www.sortisholdings.com/funds.
“With the high returns, our number one goal of investor principal protection is continuing to be maintained through our average 65% loan to value, first-position real estate portfolio, and an average maturity of eight months or less,” said Morgan Smith, Fund Officer. “We source, underwrite and originate our loans through our nationally licensed lender, Sortis Financial, Inc, and as a result of our conservative and compliant underwriting processes, we have experienced zero foreclosures since our inception.”
The Sortis Income Fund, LLC is an unlevered real estate note fund that allows quarterly distributions or reinvestment at investor discretion. Liquidity is also available after an initial six months, subject to short term loan maturities in its portfolio. Sortis recently extended their reach into the real estate equity world with the launch of their Opportunity Zone Fund.

About Sortis Holdings
Sortis Holdings is a private investment firm with a primary focus on real estate, both as a lender and direct investor. With its roots as a former bank holding company, Sortis has evolved into a diversified firm that both lends and opportunistically invests in real estate with a focus on the Western U.S. Since real estate and financial markets are constantly evolving, the firm’s ability to move between asset classes and positions in the capital stack makes it more nimble than its competitors. For example, Sortis launched an Opportunity Zone Fund in January 2019, created to take advantage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which allows accredited investors to benefit from one of the best capital gains tax reduction programs in a generation. Operating under the principles of client focus, integrity, hard work and creativity, Sortis Holdings provides its accredited investors with well-managed, diverse, asset-based investment strategies.
