"i heard a&e passed on the show" lol. read reply
i almost wet myself that was so hilarious!
so i'm assuming you have a nielsen cleared rating(like me) and are associated with endemol, freemantle, next, or another heavy showrunner in the industry.
since you have knowledge of the inner workings of the deal specifically with A&E you forgot to mention which channel was even negotiating. Was it bio, history, lifetime.
and then to go further as A&E is a joint venture between hearst, disney, and universal could you please inform me what company and department were dealing with this.
thanks doxen looking forward to more of that solid DD!
great dd this morning.
i can see we were up last night checking our twitter alerts.
the article jason posted is amazing. From his mouth directly on selling out and needing to resupply before christmas.
i look at that as a huge turn in the right direction. with the show, and the constant pr mashiah and him are receiving we should keep hearing good news.
look at this comment about board of directors by Jason on August 2:
"I am happy to announce the appointment of Ms. Kim and Ms. Kostakou to our
Board. The Company is facing significant challenges; the current year's
lackluster revenue, recent changes of policy of the Pension Financial
Services regarding the clearing of stocks priced below $0.10 and the new
XBRL financial reporting requirement are hurdles the Company must
overcome. It is the intent of the Company to form a committee to
undertake a comprehensive review evaluating the current business of the
Company to determine its viability and the Company's direction. This
review is intended to include current operations of the Company,
including a review of assets and liabilities, the business operations of
the Company, and its trademarks with a view to providing the officers,
directors and management of the Company with a report and
recommendations. Ms. Kostakou and Ms. Kim will head the committee which
will undertake this review, and will be responsible to gather all
information from legal, consultants and management and prepare a report
with recommendations to the Company. I believe it is in the best
interests of the Company and its shareholders The Company may also review
new financing opportunities and possible acquisitions to enhance its
asset value."
And then his comment from last night:
I am proud to say that sales of our Fall line of DEUCE have surpassed expectations and we are sold out or close to sold out in most styles. In fact sales where so good I have ordered more hoodies, with different threads so that we will have stock for Christmas, and I am currently designing hoodies for spring 2012. Every collection, I have a new Peter Panda, the spring collection will have 2, see a sneak peak of art below.
go duss
patience imo, the company seems to be doing very well.
with the opening of the london store and consistent celebrity/magazine pr the market is being covered.
wait for quarter returns and once the new angel/demons line comes out.
one thing i've noticed is the estore has barely any clothing available compared to what the store and site are showing so that would be nice to have updated as i want to get some clothes. Maybe maracas can fill us in when back from london.
when and at what pps we bounce is anyone's guess.
When we come out with product in stores. That will be the first step.
Liable, Rogers Media is a subsidiary of Rogers Communications.
Is that information not a fact?
If Bio(Rogers) originally commissioned Paperny to shoot the pilot who do you think owns the project?
Now it's airing on City(Rogers).
Who but Rogers has funded the entire project?
Paperny is a production company. They shoot the show. pay camera-ops, ap's, editors etc.
Rogers is the bank and has been from the pilot. When did they ever not own the show?
I am prepared to stand by it. this is where that opinion is based off of.

doing dd and will write more in a bit.
GENE A&E U.S. DEAL.
Figured that would get your attention.
i'm going to put a fork in it now as i've been trying to explain to many of you the situation. this is not a hypothetical this is fact.
Gene cannot sell the show to A&E. Paperny can't sell it to Gene or A&E. Rogers ordered season1 and season2 that means they paid for the cost of the show. Paperny shot it and got paid to make the episodes. Gene came in for who knows what on Season2, but he's not a seasoned TV producer and has only one show on air that he didn't get picked up. a production company did that for him.
The only way we get a U.S. network deal is through Rogers(who owns the option and rights to the show)
Rogers has to do the deal. They have the syndication rights. There is no other way. That's why Dussault Inc moved time slots in the past day without any P.R. release from Paperny or Dussault, They have no control of how the show plays out which is great in my opinion.
For example: Take two and Half Men as it's been in the news a lot. producer/creator Chuck Lorre has no control where it airs. Warner and CBS have the rights to the show. they can sell it to whoever they want. they are the ones getting paid and doing the international syndication deals. it's their investment. Chuck Lorre can't stop reruns of charlie sheen airing even if he wants to. he is paid residuals and that's it.
even on the sept 24th release by dussault about the show airing. the media contact directly at the bottom is all Roger
So to break this down. Stop talking about A&E and Gene. focus on Rogers (RCI - NYSE) a company trading at 35.68 today when doing dd on dussault. they did the deal in new zealand. they can get us the u.s. deal and numerous other countries. They are the keyholders not Gene, Paperny, or Jason. Those three combined are small goldfish while rogers is a 16 foot great white.
Rogers Communications = 18 billion in assets.
Gene, Jason, and Paperny = lets be nice and say 250 million
do the math.
If you want to know more or pry further about our show doing a u.s./international deal this is who'd id be contacting:
Media Contact:
Meghan Hardy, Rogers Media Television, 416.764.3197, Meghan.hardy@rci.rogers.com
Michelle Lomack, Rogers Media Television, 416.764.3190, michelle.lomack@rci.rogers.com
We have the wold's most expensive pair of jeans? 250k?
Didn't realize one pair of jeans is $250,000. We'll be making bank in no time. i'm getting two pair. lol.
wonder how many pairs they made?
Dussault Apparel’s Trashed Denim line of luxury jeans. These men’s jeans are handmade using a special process where they are washed thirteen times, with dying and painting performed between each washing to add depth to the jeans. That’s not all, though, as each pair of Trashed Denim jeans is adorned with sixteen 1-carat rubies, twenty-six .05-carat rubies, eight .05-carat diamonds and 1080 grams of 18k white or rose gold.
So how much are the most expensive jeans in the world? Try a quarter-million dollars. That’s right; Dussault Apparel’s Trashed Denim jeans are priced at $250,000.
Citytv and Rogers P.R. changes time slots for Dussault!
looks like we've been moved up in time form 830 to 730p.m. starting tomorrow. that means this was an immediate change made this week. This could be a ratings move or a sign that the show is going to move to another night. one thing is for sure, we aren't getting cancelled as episode 5 is already being discussed on city's and rogers forward looking p.r.
check city's website and schedule
they release their weekly p.r. on their shows.
here's the rundown for episode 5 for next week.
Dussault: Saturday, October 22 at 7:30pm ET/PT (7:30CT, 7:30MT)
***Time Change***
“Hong Kong City”
When Jason goes to Hong Kong to find a manufacturer for his new Deuce by Dussault line, Mashiah takes Ayden to her sister’s farm in Abbottsford, B.C.

How were we on the breakout boards right before the 1000/1 reverse split?
i noticed another company on the breakouts today and currently in a reverse as well DKAM.
what's up with that?
DUSS imo to those who message dussault/jason etc.
Please be cautious with overstepping boundaries and insulting people who are actually excited for the show or clothing and not concerned with the stock.
From what i've seen in the past few weeks, from when city deal was announced to even today i see a lot of pushing from investors on social media sites.
This site(investorshub) is about the stock those sites are for positive p.r. only please remember that.
wasn't trying to put a spin on it. thought it was a good thing that the guy below said he made money.
i think it's great we've been airing consistently in canada and will continue to do so. I'm optimistic about the U.S. deal but right now that's speculation.
that article is more prevalent to show that before the city announcement jason was already talking about his show being on and helping him.
good dd.
I read that, you should put the rest from the guy under jason that says he made money but then stopped. i liked that statement.
back to normal. we'll have to wait till the volume picks up again.
where'd everybody go. two trades for a whopping $150 today. that's craziness.
i mean didn't anyone see arian foster on e:60. lol
I saw that, but that is incorrect.
go back to my post with caps and read through it.
The Biography Channel Canada was acquired outright in August 2006 when Rogers bought out the 40% stake owned by Calgary's Shaw Communications and A&E Television Networks' 20% ownership.
It uses the Trademarks owned by A&E U.S.
it is a great relationship and could mean their is a direct line to A&E, but obviously there's Gene Simmons show on their network and imo it'd be too high risk to a do a show very similar on the same network due to making direct competition on your own network.
Think more like american chopper or mythbusters. they can bounce from discovery to a&e and have same shows with different formats.
Funny little shakedown by mm's
So what, that's huge i didn't know that and i should've but with all this talk about magical u.s. deals and doing fake math about adspace the show airing constantly is a massive base that i wasn't aware of.
We're basically guaranteed another 28 episodes of airtime across canada.
The fact that Rogers is ordering the episodes consistently and airing them on two of their own separate networks shows a massive interest and backing on their end.
Rogers would also be the ones outsourcing to new zealand which means we could see a trend start developing there.
win/win
and another link. http://thebiographychannel.ca/tv/?DUSSAULT
biography channel canada. we are on

weekly schedule for 11/13to11/16
http://www.thebiographychannel.ca/cgi-bin/programming.cgi?instruct=week
Did anyone know we were on Bio all the time?
or does anyone care?
cause that'd would've been great info considering it's the whole base for the tvshow.
NEWS! DD! WE'VE BEEN ON BIO!
That's right. We've been airing since january 08 this year and are still showing episodes on BioCanada
We are in their weekly scheduling airing 5 times a week!!!!!!
here's the link:
http://www.thebiographychannel.ca/cgi-bin/programming.cgi?instruct=search&q=DUSSAULT&year=2011&month=01&date=01
why was this not pointed out!?
i wasn't here six months ago or i've would've found this.
BioCanada is owned by Rogers Communications just like CityTV.
Now everything is making sense. Season2 is already shot because season1 has aired and was succesful enough for Rogers to order a season2 and make a move from Bio(small channel) to City(big channel).
Rogers is testing City on their major network in a bad time slot to see if it can move to a weekly primetime spot.
Now this make sense for a U.S. network deal as Rogers has been churning this show through their own company and building it to make it valuable. They would be the ones selling the rights to a U.S. network as long as they have ownership over the project.
give 5 10 minutes and going to drop a big DD on you.
Volume at 34million in first two and a half hours of trading.
abnormal with no news or any bubble. mostly all on the 9's as well.
there were some big blocks grabbed this morning.
3 trades over 4million shares at the 9's in one hour at seperate times. probably 20 min gaps
regarding tv show numbers, value, and networks
A&E has nothing to do with this production at it's current stage. a subsidiary of a subsidiary has the licensing rights for one specific demographic region.
i do work in the entertainment industry and know the actual hard numbers on how deals get done.
unless you have a entertainment law degree or work in the industry you have no clue what you are talking about. this speculation on value of ad time and etc. is absurd.
if you are affiliated to a network or a person on another show that doesn't mean anything.
almost every show on every network has a unique deal specific to itself. this is worked out by the talent, production company, and network.
There could be two shows airing back to back on the same network. one with a budget of 5million the other with a 500k budget.
dussault is where we want it to be. we had less than two weeks from the p.r. of show airing to original airdate. there are shows that are plugged months in advance on a daily basis.
we are conforming viewers with no real cost risk/exposure on a night where the show was never expected to do any type of numbers. Saturday in canada is owned by hockey, if we can take 5 percent of their market we are doing amazing.
Wait a few weeks and see how the numbers play. IMO if we could see 100k ratings by episode 8, then season 2 will be almost a guaranteed lock
to those who speculate on the tv show numbers, value, and networks

DD on New Zealand ratings!
their unavailable and will stay that way as we are airing on a publically owned channel.
TVNZU is a non-ad revenue channel that is owned by TVNZ.
other channels they own do sell ad space.
TVNZU is like a MTV owned by the government.
depending on how you look at it, this is good or bad.
THE RATINGS ARE FOR ALL OF CANADA! 51,000 is a good number as a starting point

We are on CityTV not CTV. We reach only 1/3 of the canadian population mostly in major cities.
We are competing with 5 other major networks for coverage.
We are in season1 and the numbers overall for ratings this weekend in canada were drastically low because of canadian thanksgiving.
that's all of canada. read the article before posting.
toronto has a population of around 2.8 million and everyone isn't watching tv at the same time.
at top of weblinked article:
Here’s how they all played out across Canada in prime time among adults 2+ the week of Oct. 3 to 9, according to overnight estimates:
The numbers are good for a new show with all the sports going on.
Look at the numbers 2 NHL games, 1 CFL game, 1 MLB playoff game.
only competition we had was Bedlam(67,000views) which is a scripted show that has aired already overseas. they're in episode 6 and we competed well.
i look at this as a positive thing. if we did the same numbers which i can't find for show 1 and 2 that means we've had 150,000 viewers.
plus we aired in new zealand last night and that's a tuesday primetime slot.
don't forget there's 13 more shows still booked to air.
we should see movement if people respond to the show by midseason.
TV RATINGS FOR EPISODE 3!
so here we go.
we had 51,000 people tune in.
good numbers for city on a saturday with sports going on.
SATURDAY
Can Don Cherry still draw a crowd? Yes, concussion breath. The Coach’s Corner star had 2,359,000 at CBC’s Ottawa/Toronto tilt. Game 2 on Hockey Night in Canada drew 1,010,000 for Calgary/Pittsburgh.
Buried on Saturdays, CTV managed 282,000 for The Sing Off. Dussault, Inc. did 51,000 on a feeble night for City. No Doctor Who, no viewers on Space; Bedlam was down to 67,000. Calgary/B.C. drew 569,000 CFL fans to TSN. Baseball batted 367,000 for the Tigers/Texas round two opener on Sportsnet.

picking up some volume in the last hour all green.
No. 25 on breakout boards today!
more pics of the store on horiyoshi's facebook page
hahaha! how does that equate to 27,000?
more like 2700.
where's our p.r.
yes it did. link to opening

thanks. will work on it now and update.
