Nice post JB61. You are exactly right! Those last two PRs and the BW week article is no bull. The proof is in the pudding... People want results right away which would be nice, but our days will come!
Thats the video I posted yesterday. Its a great video to see just how coal is going to be around for some time to come.
I am not holding my breath, but IMO there needs to be some news real soon... There is a lot of specualtion out there on what is going to be released and when. Something of importance needs to come to out sooner than later.
Check out this video on clean coal debate!

Had to bump it up top!!!
You bet Track... I love the guy at the end how he takes over and shows them up! lol
Thanks Coffee13. I get more excited as the seconds tick by! Glad I can be of some help around here! Clean coal is becoming bigger every day. India and China are going all out with clean tech, and the US is taking notice!!!

great post tracker! Its good to hear that the demand is high, and Coal is here to stay for a long while! Maybe its just me, but I believe CCTC has some major news on the horizon. It could shock us all... I can feel it in my gut!!! lol
you bet stevesc. Just trying to get all the info I can gather to show people what is happening on the coal front. As you might see, CCTC has the right technology to really solve some of the issues at hand! CCTC could explode on the US scence sooner than expected!
The ask is moving up!
U.S. Coal Industry Leaders on Capitol Hill Today Talking Clean Coal
by AlwaysGreen - April 15th, 2010
Today was a fairly interesting day as the leaders of many of the U.S.s largest coal companies and coal associations were called to the Capitol today to discuss clean coal and mine safety.
The interesting part is that with all the talk of clean coal technology over the years, the coal companies seem to be nowhere on the actual technology. Or at least not as far as long as they made it appear.
While on Capitol Hill the coal industry was talking with the House of Representatives stating that they needed more time to develop clean coal technology before steep penalties were placed on carbon emissions or else the economy risked losing more jobs. The head of the Ohio Coal Association made a similar case saying that the House climate change bill didn’t offer as much assistance for developing clean coal technology as some claimed.
Representative Edward Markey (D – Mass.) stated that the bill would contain $60 billion in assistance but said that the coal industry needs to stop trying to stall climate change legislation and that the recent mine collapses are an indication that action is needed now.
But we did notice a lack of discussion on carbon capture and sequestration which we thought was working well around the country and globe
CCTC I believe is in the right place at the right time to capitalize on the green movement!

Obama wants clean-energy transformation, but will Congress vote him the money?
100415 Obama on 7.30 Report
Message from djackmanson@gmail.com:
US President Barack Obama said last night (Australian time) the world should turn to a clean-energy economy, and that a billion Chinese people can't have the same living patterns as Australians and Americans. But the money the US Congress approved last year for clean energy projects didn't meet Mr Obama's target.
Mr Obama said in April last year he wanted to spend $15 billion a year on clean energy, including on wind , solar, geothermal power and clean coal. Congress only approved about a third of Mr Obama's spending target on clean energy (see below).
Some clean-or-efficient energy programs include a research unit that might work out how to build better batteries, the Solar Energy Technology Program, and the Fuel Cells Technology Program which is trying to solve the big problems in the way of that technology.
Mr Obama was interviewed by Kerry O'Brien of the ABC, Australia's public broadcaster.
CLEAN ENERGY SPENDING:
The money approved last year in the US Budget for major clean energy programs included:
US$ 2.242 billion Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (record of appropriation)
US$ 1.108 billion Materials Science (possibility of better batteries) (verify appropriation here - pdf file)
US$ 0.585 billion Biological and Environment research (verify appropriation here - pdf file)
US$ 0.394 billion Fusion Power (verify appropriation here - pdf file)
US$ 0.149 billion Clean Coal technology
US$ 4.478 billion TOTAL
Mr Obama's stated target is $15 billion in clean energy technology spending. Some huge grants for energy projects were made in last year's American Recovery and Re-Investment Act, but that was an emergency one-off stimulus package.
He also said he was convinced a price needs to be put on carbon.
China's coal output up 28.1% in Q1 0 CommentsPrint E-mail Xinhua, April 15, 2010 Adjust font size:
China's coal output grew 28.1 percent year on year to well over 751 million tonnes in the first quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday.
The increase indicates China has built up a large coal production capacity after a rapid growth in fixed asset investment for coal, according to an analysis by the China National Coal Association (CNCA).
The report estimates China's total coal production capacity has exceeded 3.6 billion tonnes.
Mergers and acquisitions in coal-rich areas such as Shanxi Province, Henan Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are expected to create large coal mine groups and further raise the nation's coal production, the report said.
Doug Hauge if you read this... I think its time to smoke the shorts and reward the real shareholders! Its go time. Lets get the party started.
Tracker: I dont mean to spread rumors, but I could see that being a reason why things have been delayed per se. Your theory also would make sense, and I too think big money might want their Technology!!!
Could he be refering to a possible buyer of the company/Technology?

Clean coal is solution to climate change, Peabody executive testifies
14 April 2010-- Peabody Energy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gregory H. Boyce testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming on April 14 and said coal needs to be part of the climate change solution but only if it involves carbon dioxide (CO2) emission control technology such as carbon capture and storage (CCS).
"A strong energy bill that advances CCS is the best way to achieve both our energy and environmental goals," Boyce said. "Greater deployment of advanced energy technologies including coal with carbon capture and storage would create tremendous economic stimulus, reindustrializing our economic base and putting people to work."
The amount of coal used for electricity generation in the United States has tripled since 1970, when the first major Clean Air Act was written. Pollutants under the act have been reduced by 84 percent per megawatt-hour.
Using coal will become more important as the world's population continues to grow every year, Boyce said.
"Today, 3.6 billion people around the world lack adequate access to electricity," Boyce said. "And by 2030, the world will need the equivalent power of five more Americas to fuel the world's population growth."
A 2009 study by the National Coal Council concluded that deployment of coal with CCS would increase U.S. gross domestic product by $2.7 trillion.
Boyce outlined six steps to lower carbon emissions while using more coal:
· Build supercritical combustion plants with improved efficiencies, which in the United States typically have CO2 emissions that are 15 percent below the existing fleet, and more than 40 percent below the oldest of plants being replaced,
· Demonstrate CCS. Statoil's Sleipner project in the North Sea has been storing 1 million tons of CO2 annually for 15 years,
· Complete large-scale CCS demonstrations,
· Develop coal-to-gas with CCS. One benefit of coal-to-gas technologies is the ability to capture a pure CO2 stream, reducing the ultimate cost of capturing and storing CO2,
· Deploy commercial-scale IGCC technology with CCS, and
· Retrofit the world's existing fleet of coal plants with CCS technologies to improve emissions

Aldermen to Coal Plants: Clean Yourselves Up
Fisk Generating Station. Photo by swanksalot.A new city ordinance, announced today, would limit the amount of pollution that Chicago's two coal-fired power plants can produce. The Clean Power Ordinance was sponsored by Alderman Joe Moore of the 49th Ward, co-sponsored by Aldermen Sandi Jackson (7th), Toni Preckwinkle (4th), and Gene Schulter (47th), and supported by more than 30 businesses and nonprofit groups.
According to the Chicago Clean Power Coalition, Chicago’s two coal plants - the Fisk Generating Station in Pilsen and the Crawford Generating Station in Little Village - were built in the early 1900s and some of the equipment it uses dates back to the late 1950s. They follow more relaxed federal pollution standards because of their age, but the city ordinance seeks to limit the amount of particulate matter and carbon dioxide they can create per unit of energy produced. According to a press release:
The ordinance would create “rate based” limits for particulate matter and carbon dioxide, setting a threshold for how much pollution the plants can create per unit of energy produced. The limits on particulate matter are equivalent to those set for new coal plants being built today. The limits on CO2 are equivalent to the pollution from a natural gas plant. The Fisk and Crawford plants would have one and two years, respectively, to phase in required pollution controls for particulate matter and up to three and four years, respectively, to reduce CO2 emissions.
The ordinance would make Chicago one of the only cities in the nation to regulate pollution from coal plants - and bring the city closer to its goal of being the greenest in the nation. We've talked about this goal before and we're not entirely convinced. The BBC also evaluated Chicago's progress toward being greenest late last year which focused on the coal plants and found that many residents aren't convinced either. In fact, the city's Department of Environment Commissioner Suzanne Malec-McKenna was quoted in the broadcast as saying that the coal-fired plants are regulated by federal and state governments and the city has "limited power" over them. The exception is where air quality is concerned so here's hoping that the Clean Power Ordinance isn't just another empty rule on the books.

Newt Still Defends Global Warming Commercial with Pelosi: 'We Need a Green Conservatism'
Gingrich contends he was seeking common ground with liberals on climate change issue, but says current legislation is 'just pure socialist.'
By Jeff Poor

Back in 2008, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich caught a lot of heat for participating in Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection advertising campaign in a TV commercial with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. He has since defended his decision to make the commercials.
However, nearly two years later with Democrats in control of Congress and the White House and moving aggressively on climate change legislation with draconian regulations on carbon emissions, Gingrich still maintains conservatives should have a voice in the debate. Speaking to a group of bloggers at the Heritage Foundation on April 13, Gingrich contended there’s still a need for a so-called green conservatism.
“First of all, I did the commercial with Pelosi to make a case that conservatives ought to be prepared to stand in the arena and debate,” Gingrich said. “I also debated John Kerry on the same premise. I wrote a book called ‘Contract with the Earth’ arguing we need a green conservatism. I’m very happy to say you want to reduce carbon-loading in the atmosphere – by the way I don’t know if there’s global warming or not and neither does anybody else.”
Gingrich alluded to a 1922 National Weather Service report that reported Arctic sea ice was melting as part of a long-occurring trend, but it didn’t allege that was the result of manmade gases causing the melting.
“There’s a great 1922 report by the Weather Service on the fact that the Arctic ice has melted and that you can now go further north in the Arctic than you could at anytime in modern history,” Gingrich continued. “It’s 1922, OK? So whether you’re engaged in large, long-term climate patterns that involve the sun and involve various other patterns or whether you’re engaged in manmade – and I have zero respect for the way the IPCC has operated.”
Gingrich continued his critique of the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, but explained that his idea were more in line with some proven uses of alternative energy like nuclear power and some that have not yet been proven, like clean coal technology.
“If I see a vote of scientist on watching politics, it’s political science,” Gingrich said. “It’s not science. Science is about facts, argumentation, theory, etc. Second, I’m happy to say that it’s very likely that carbon-loading the atmosphere is going up. It’s not like we understand what it means, it’s going up. So if you want to be prudent – I think the case as a conservative, you be cautious – let’s reduce carbon loading the atmosphere. If we went to the French level of nuclear power for electricity, you take 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. I’m happy to do that. I’m happy to go to clean coal and to have the use of excess carbon to strengthen old oil fields by infusion, which could actually increase American reserves of oil dramatically. There are a lot of things you could do that are practical, common sense.”
The House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate change legislation in June 2009, but the Senate has yet to put its version of the legislation forth. However, as Rich Lowry pointed out for National Review after the bill’s passage, this bill will do little to solve this so-called problem at a high cost on the American economy. Whether or not Gingrich’s willingness to participate in Gore’s campaign will affect the ultimate outcome of this debate remains to be seen, but Gingrich explained the current legislative efforts were “pure socialist.”
“What I’m opposed to is a centralized command bureaucracy raising the cost of the American economy, driving factories to China and India and guaranteeing our collapse as an economic power. So, I think we should be prepared to engage in that debate, not to hide from it and that was the whole point of the Pelosi commercial that said we ought to both be able to have this debate and we ought to be able to move through the legislation. Now they then turned that into the Waxman-Markey bill, which is socialism now. That’s why I describe a secular socialist machine because their entire climate approach is just pure socialist.”
I think Wayne knows more than most. I know there might be some shady happenings in the past with him and CCTC, but they do own a huge stake in the Company. Wayne I believe has ties to the company in ways we dont know. IMO Wayne might be covering his butt, and making it sound like he is unsure about upcoming events, but in all actuallity knows more than we think! The stars are aligning...
what to make of the form 3 that was released after the close. Larry Hunt owns a lot of shares... Can anybody explain the significance of that report? Thanks in advance.
My mind is at rest as well! I have invested here heavily, and am convinced I will be one happy camper when all said and done! GLTA
Ok thanks for the clarification! Are you long on this stock, and feel very good about its operations going forward? I certainly believe in the company.
Are you close to the company in any way? You just called up Doug to chit chat?
Great post BioprodResearcher! I am amazed that people dont see the significance of the last PR. The news will come, but some are really really impatient, and cant obviously read what the Company puts out in the PR's. Its there in plain old english...
How did yo talk to Doug Hague?
I think you are correct sir!
Could someone put the article up as a sticky! Thanks Up from here!!!
That is a great article, and reafirms that the Company is moving forward and news is imminent! Great things to come here folks! That is one awesome ARTICLE!Very proud/excited CCTC shareholder... LONG BABY. Humblehawk just crapped himself! lol.
The project at completion will produce some 80 million tons of clean coal per year, and represent a capital investment on the order of $8 billion," he said.
China reference!
Clean Coal Technologies Inc. is perfectly positioned to ride the environmental wave into a very profitable future, says CCTI President and CEO Doug Hague. nice ring to it
Ospreyeeye, where you at? You became a mod, and you stop posting? I miss your upbeat analysis!!!
you got some people playing some games with right now, and wanting to load up at cheaper levels. We could very easily finish green today! Dont worry, a lot of folks are slowly accumulating.

UK Energy Bill Becomes Statute Law
Published: 12-Apr-2010
The UK Energy Bill has received Royal Assent becoming the Energy Act 2010. The act, which focuses on the UK energy markets as a whole is expected to augment the development of clean coal in the UK.The new act will provide financial incentive to bring forward four commercial scale demonstration projects on coal-fired power stations and to support the retrofit of additional CCS capacity to those projects if required at a later date.
The new act promises to create a framework to mandate energy companies to provide support to the fuel poor, by giving greater guidance and direction on the types of households eligible for future support and the type of support they should be given.
The act makes it clear that Ofgem must include the reduction of carbon emissions and the delivery of secure energy supplies in their assessment of the interests of consumers, and step in proactively to protect consumers as well as considering longer term actions to promote competition.
In addition, the act gives Ofgem additional powers to tackle market exploitation where companies might take advantage of constraints in the electricity transmission grid.
Other measures include: requiring the government to prepare regular reports on the progress made on the decarbonisation of electricity generation in Britain and the development and use of CCS, extending the time limit from one year to five years within which Ofgem can impose financial penalties on energy suppliers for breaches of licence conditions, and allowing the government to set the period within which energy companies must inform customers of changes to their gas and electricity tariffs.
It also requires enabling action to be taken against unfair cross-subsidy between gas and electricity supply.
Its spreading throughout the world. Clean up that coal or else!!!
I would have to agree! The more eyes on the prize the better! Great time to accumulate.
Smart people are accumulating trying to eat up as many shares before the news. Supply and demand...
You have to have patience people. Mr Hague is aware of what is going on, and has our/shareholder interest in mind. It might not seem like that to some, but the next PR will catch some off gaurd. I also want to reiterate the fact the BW article is still fresh and needs time to settle in. In due time...
