Out Brk.B June 125 Calls at $3.80 from 2.86.
Still have BRK.B June 120 calls at $6.65.
You are rockin' this morning Roy!
That makes me feel better. I got whipsawed really bad the last couple of weeks. But I have almost recouped. Watching for another flip today to break even.
GLTY!
Thanks Fulgore! Been watching you all for a while to learn how to do this. I am grateful to all of you for sharing your knowledge.
Regards,
Jane
Sold BRK.B May 17 $125 Calls at 2.20 from 1.70.
Yeah!
Bot BRK.B May 17 $125 calls at 1.70.
Give myself a little more time in case it turns against me. Not likely though. BRK.B tends to slowly follow major indices.
Whew! Finally got out of my losing trades from last week.
Learned some hard lessons over the past week.
- Don't leave the desk without putting in stops
- Cut my losses early. Hoping that it will go back up soon is not a strategy.
- I'm not a good enough trader yet to trade in short time frames.
- Take small profits instead of waiting for big ones.
- I put too much of my trading capital into these trades. Broke my money management rules.
Guess I don't have my discipline down yet. But I did manage to salvage more of the trades than I thought.
So my bad trades are all closed, and I have some cash to start over.
Tomorrow is another day.
GM Roy, Dot, Beer, Smart, Farook, et al.
Roy - thanks for posting the good article yesterday - sobering stats.
Quick Q: When the market week is short, does Theta continue to run through Fri, or is is accelerated to make up for the short week?
TIA.

Oh the humanity! What in the heck is going on with the market today? UE numbers improving...POMO...
days like this are such a gift
???
Shred - the most important thing I learned is not to focus on what you might make, but on limiting your losses if you are wrong. It is a subtle mindshift, but makes a big difference.
Preservation of capital is more important than wins when you are learning.
Good luck - keep posting.
Thanks Dot - good advice.
How far out do you play your options as a general rule using the daily charts? One week, two, etc?
Bot SPY Apr 19 $186 call at 1.75.
HI Roy - Thanks Beer!
Good to "see" you guys again!.
I bailed on CWRN and all other stinky pinkies - learned my lessons the hard way. Sticking mainly to paper trades, SPY, IWM and BRK.B for awhile.
I hadn't heard of POMO til today. Will read up on it.
Roy, I have been watching SPY and IWM charts all day, flipping back and forth between the
Today- 2 minute
1 Day- 2 minute
5 day- 5 minute
etc.
What time periods do you use for daytrading, vs multiday trades?
Thanks - It's so good to be here again!.
Hi Beer - what is POMO?
Thanks Dot - I have never been sure what period charts for day vs swing trading. Still a lot to learn!
Sure -

It's a great course - I've taken it several times.
Hey everyone - I'm back.
Just finished an on-site project, now working out of my home again for awhile, so I can lurk and practice trading again.
My suggestions for noobs:
I highly recommend a free introductory course by TradesmartU called Foundations of Stocks and Options. They cover a lot:
- How to read charts
- How options work - calls, puts, the Greeks
- How to identify support and resistance
- Setting targets and stops
- Common candle patterns
- Most important - money management!
I concur with Beer - I would only paper trade until completing such a course and developing some skills.
My biggest mistake when starting out was not understanding money management - risk/rewards and proper sizing of your trades. I am now paper trading again with a Risk/Reward model to see if I can trade profitably before jumping back in with real money.
You can also learn a lot by watching the folks here trade.
Roy - very happy to see you again. I went back through a bunch of your old posts for a review. You have been an awesome mentor to so many here, including me. I am grateful!
Regards,
Jane
Good research exposing more scammers:

I can't believe they used Comic sans font. Perhaps it is fitting.
Just checked mine - looks the same as it has been. Not changed to MMTED yet.
No. They are not.
That's good Jacob. Please notify us immediately when it happens.
Who cares? We know more about what's going on in the background than most of the folks here. The company is in a cocoon for now. Will emerge as a butterfly in coming months.
Even if they "only" sold 23000 tons, at a low estimate of $100/ton, that's $2,300,000! Most pink stocks would be deliriously happy with those revenues.
The new company is like an iceberg - very little is visible on the surface, and much will be revealed in the near future. Stay tuned... Patient longs will prevail.
Will you be happy if this happens?
What is the source?
Thanks - you too. Exciting times ahead.
All investments are based on individual risk/reward calculations. I think this company is promising. It's fine with me if you disagree.
You must wait patiently for it, Grasshopper.
New company is coming. Why would they continue to focus on the old company when they are busy rolling out the new?
Well I'm certainly glad that they haven't hit .0001 yet - guess the cries of wolf just fall on deaf ears. I glad - waiting for a fresh cash infusion to pick up a few more before June 30 announcements.

LOL - I had to google Urkel. Don't know how I missed that show.
Well, pray tell us what you are hearing.
Hey to you too Roy!
I started a new project about a year ago wqorking at a client's site, so I couldn't play on the boards. It's over now and I am scrambling for my next project. If my next one lets me work at home, I'll stop by some more.
You guys have been burning it up lately. I really miss hanging out. The market has been amazing. Hopefully I'll be back. Take care and keep up the great trading.
