I began to think of possible sales figures for this product. Which led me to several initial questions.
1. How many doctors practice in the U.S.? (I focused on U.S. only, due to the possibility of sketchy foreign sources of information.)
Answer: According to the W.H.O. (World Health Orginization) There are 1.5 million licensed doctors in the U.S. Our Dept. of Labor says roughly 800,000.
2. How many hospitals in the U.S.?
Answer: According to a 2007 survey conducted by the A.H.A (American Hospital Association) there are 5708 registered U.S. hospitals, 4897 community hospitals. There are a number of other classifications, such as urban, rural, non-profit, for-profit, and many others. The 2007 survey also gave admission numbers. For registered hospitals, the total number for 2007 was 37,120,387 admissions. For community hospitals, the total was 35,345,986 admissions.
With a total of 10,605 hospitals between registered and community, I would assume they would purchase the 5 unit model at $30,000. The dollar amount comes to $318,150,000 if all of these were to make a purchase. This does not take into consideration all general practisioners and small clinics. I gave up my search to find that number. The smaller clinics I would assume may purchase the single unit for $5,000.
In regards to total admissions between registered and community hospitals, there were 72,466,373. I have no idea how many of those would benifit from this device. At 1%, the monthly fee of $19.99 comes to $14,486,028. Yearly revenue of that 1% would come to $173,832,335. (that is a lot of cheddar)
Another question I pondered was, how many patients does a doctor have on average? Someone in the medical field will have to answer that one.
Some assumed math on sales revenue from the sale of 100,000 units sold at $5,000 in the first 12 monthes. Answer: $500,000,000. I will assume each device will be used on 100 patients. That is a monthly revenue of $199,900,000 and a yearly revenue of $2,398,800,000. I will also assume that the current authorized shares of 1 billion may be activated to complete the merger and establish manufacturing contracts. The price target may be far larger than anyone currently believes. I will open myself up for ridicule and say from just the assumed numbers in this paragraph, revenue could be $2.89 per share. If you place a 5X on the price to earning and you come to $14.45 a share. I'll put a two year timeline on this price so that the monthly fee can accrue.
All information was gathered through links from "ask.com". Forgive me for not providing links, though I'm sure it is easy, it isn't something i've ever done.
These are all my opinion and should not be taken as fact. I have made many assumptions on sales and hope that they are conservative ones. This is why you will have to pry my shares away from me. Good luck and stay strong.
