Engines Ignited! Launch countdown has begun!
Up 7- 9% premarket most retail can not trade this early I know TDA is not open for pre yet. Will they launch the rocket today or are the just testing the Engines? The engines have definitely been ignited. Now 84K increase of another 12K since rocalinda posted.
MIGHT be a 2 Stage Rocket!EXPECT UNEXPECTED!
Sunday: Stage one, here is the dose that our "investigation" has determined to be thePRIME therapeutic dosage. Oh and here is the FDA approved PII/III trial design based on this dosage which we intend to go forward with! Monday Premarket: Ignition: Rocket Engines Thrust!
Tuesday continue to burn the fuel of the 1st stage. Wednesday separate the 1st stage continue trajectory at high velocity. 2nd Poster, The therapeutic efficacy shown by our current trial which we are confident we will PROVE IN OUR UPCOMING PIVOTAL TRIAL Ignite the second stage. Continue the trajectory to rendezvous with the Market Cap we would have had , had we IPO'd instead of uplifted to NASDAQ. Except now Missling has as his most important investors a group of well informed, smart and brave retail Cats that trust him at the Helm instead of a bunch of meddling institutions that might question his commands.
The Die is cast! The Sword has been forged! Missling has a firm grip on it!
Now how about some real American Music:
Jason Isabell and the 400 Unit in concert in 'Bama (they track the rockets from Huntsville haha)
OK! Resolution Passed! Quorum of 2! Unanimous! The Shins are the official band of the Longs of this board! God bless you all and take time to listen to those that would lighten one's heart even in dark hours!
No apologies warranted. I agree if one is up big in the options one should sell them going into a binary event and if one still believes in the Company one should re-invest in the stock.
I sweep the street for options on Friday and bought those that I considered under priced.
I ended up with enough that equal 72% of my stock holdings but at 10% of capital outlay and I had to sell some stocks at a loss to gain the instant capital. I literally bought 1/2 the volume of the issues I was buying.
But these are OPTIONS! Akin to a casino bet. I have been underwater in some stocks for over 7 years before they recovered but stocks do not expire unless Co. files Bankruptcy.
One would have better odds at a craps table betting conservatively unless one was shooting loaded dice. ( I think we MIGHT have loaded dice!;))
If I were the holder of those options which were already making them a lot of money I would have $hit $ure sold going into a binary event. And bought the stock on saleFriday.
There are very few players in this option field and most are probably members of this board. I know for an unverified fact that one of the honored members of this board has about 1/3 of the options Jan 17 2.5. Deep in the money like that has so much less risk and moves one to one with the stock price and does not have any time decay but can face liquidity issues. But it is a good way to hold a place maker on a stock until one can exercise with next years Retirement contributions.
Sorry for long reply,,,I digress :(
Go Avxl
Thank you for selling me those Jan 5s so cheap if you were the one but I bought at the bid. I know all the T&S for every single one so maybe it was not you. I did not get any Jan 7.5 because I thought too expensive. So I expect you did get top dollar of those Jan 7.5s is was kind of strange volume on Jan 5s and Oct 7.5s was high but the volume on Jan 7.5s and Oct 5s was low. Opps I took half the volume on the buy at the bid on the Jan 5s and Oct 7.5 so I suppose that could be the difference.
Very good move on your part to take your profits after the big run.
Thank you brother I will try to ride them from here.
You are 100% right if one is up 100% on options one HAS to sell them. Good move! I was just lucky, coming late to the table, and wanting options to wait until Friday when some needed to be unloaded.
Go AVXL!
Well I must agree that your attitude is the best one to have as these things are out of our hands. One must trust management to manage these things. However, you also ignore "smoking gun" type evidence. What Companies in your recent memory have done "surprise" overnight reverse split uplist to NASDAQ? As you should remember Adam F released a hit piece the previous day. Look at the chart candles of those days. You do not believe in short attacks and I do not believe in Unicorns. The probabilities of the events of those days being a coincidence are as the most beautiful Unicorn ridden by Tinker Bell showing up on your daughter's birthday.
I have seen and presented all manner of evidence to juries from Murder to Medical Malpractice.
The October "Surprise" is a smoking gun.
But your attitude is correct there is nothing we can do and I agree one can focus too much on the "boogie man" and neglect examination of fundamental weaknesses in one's own thesis. This is exactly the time and the area where the "boogie man" will attack.
One needs to trust management, but to evaluate the performance of management one should examine their actions in times of crisis.
Missling gets an AAA+ from me and I trust he will (IF the science is strong) do for Anavex what Donald Rumsfelt did for Gilead (before he was Sec. of Defense of the United States)
Anavex's technology is extremely disruptive and it seems more and more as if the Company wants to control the destiny of their drugs.
There will be many fights both overt and surreptitious, most baby bios buckle under in these environments. Anavex needs strong management. We have that in Missling.
Skarpelos donated 4 million shares back to the Company to get Missling basically making him a partner in the Corporate Enterprise. The recent amendment to his contract reinforces that.
You are a critical thinker and I greatly respect that, also you deride those that would blame the "boogie man" a "loser's limp" in effect, of which I also strongly agree.
One should critically evaluate management and not base too much on a "good story" of "fantastic" science.
Good Luck Brother!
Go Anavex Life Sciences!
Why would you be disappointed? Had nothing to do with you.
Disparate and Divided years.
The die has been cast, get on board or get out of the way.
But I agree there is a lot of fear uncertainty and doubt out there especially in the dweebs like Adam F and J Finn outa Dallas.
But I have a tune for that:
100% right again! One must enter the trade before the dweebs and exit the trade before the dweebs exit. Once the dweebs realize AF and JFin are wrong they will enter the trade but it will be too late as the dweebs will be so small of a fraction of the stock ownership. It will be the cognoscenti and intelligentsia as yourself and the those that were lucky and those of faith and courage but they will still have a chance at a possible ten bagger again where ever this goes but one can never know and really I do not care about stock price but I did make a large Aug 7.5 Call bet, maybe not so smart. :( Too late to fret I did get a lot of Jan 5s cheap so maybe overall it will be OK. No matter what the data says maybe it does not matter to the retail market as they are dweebs and do not understand. But if we get ground swell TUTES,,,, who knows! Pay one's money and take one's chances!
Here is an old tune you might like while we wait.
100% agree that a steady climb commiserate to the development of the Company is ALWAYS best. The fall from $14 to $8 or $9 was all a natural and an expected occurrence of the parabola. I did not see it at the time and had star dust occluding my vision. The shorting was mostly from $8-9 down. Just my opinion and supposition. As far as Adam he is a loud mouth dweeb and I am sure he has a lot of other dweebs that follow him as long as his calls/pans are not too far off the general market the dweebs will follow him all these dweeb, well because they are all dweebs and live in there dweeby world.
Avavex is not looking to attract dweebs as investors, the core retail they seem to me to be the intelligentsia and the cognoscenti as it should be as this is not the latest gadget. It is a totally different approach. As "The Cris" stated in Washington we can defeat Alzheimer's because " we think differently and have no fear." Not the words or actions of a "dweeb."
The dweebs threw the call options out the window today and I sweep them up. Now granted this could go against me as basically what people "revere" as "the market" is really just all the dweebs.
GO AVXL!

Yea Bro did you see my post about the options play we were discussing yesterday? Solution, he/she sold the puts at $5 for $0.35 and bought the calls $10 @0.30 so if both fail pocket $1500 if goes below $5 get shares for $5!!!!! If goes above $10 all blue sky plus the $1500! Brilliant!
I swept the street today peeps were throwing out 5s and 7.5s like trash and Oct on 7.5s and Jan on the 5s.... wow it was surreal I collected in one day what would usually take several months of playing it hard. I got 189 cheap as H E double L all 5s and 7.5s Jan and Oct ...but a few 7.5s for Aug :(.
I hope that the 7.5s will be the new 2.5s :)
I swear to my Lord Almighty I have never seen such liquidity in Options even when I was trading options in MSFT, INTL and heavily traded stocks like that. I was literally just sweeping the streets for what people were throwing out. They did not show on bid or ask but as soon as I bettered the bid by a nickle BAM! But not the Oct 5s or the Jan 7.5s that was weird. So I got the Oct 7.5s and the Jan 5s ok by me that is what was on sale.
But do you see the solution to the question we had on what looked like a strangle? It looked brilliant to me but I like the $7.5s but worried so close in.
Oh well the die is now cast so we wait,
A tune of old artists becoming new! Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle go Electric!
The Die is cast nothing we can do now but enjoy!

more likely to be some multiple of the product of the first four prime numbers: 2, 3, 5 and 7 and the 12th prime number: 37 (second star number after the Unity)
I have no Idea but I think it will be at the time I have lost all hope for my Aug $7.50 calls that is not pre-Monday but is there is a spike on Monday and a short down on Monday or Tuesday maybe then? One should consider where the market cap would be it the shares were held be Wall Street via an IPO like AXON. My fundamental value that I place on the stock has hindered my ability to smooth out the volatility by trading because my value and the markets value are such at odds I have been a hoarder of the stock. There are a lot of smart fellas and filas on this board who reinforce my conformational bias as well. I tried to trade a few times while not failing it seemed like futility as I was chasing because could not let go of my "precious" like Gollum and the "One Ring." I could be wrong but this could be as the semiconductor was to electronics this cellular receptor technology may be to medicine. And does not need to be produced in a mouse specific to each patient like the BP expensive solutions would have the Insurance Companies Government and ultimately all to pay for. This is disruptive and would never survive in the hands of BP it would be deep six'ed bigger than snipers in Dallas. This will be off the shelf safe and of widespread application. I wonder why Skarpelos moved from the Chaos of Athens to the relative safety of Geneva?
Sorry to say to those that want BP Partnership or Buyout. Not happening. Skarpelos could have sold for Billions already. To his credit I think he feels the weight of history and the hand of fate and I think that is why he hired Missling as his Champion they share that vision.
In for the long term!
Go Anavex remain above the fray!
Yea Ziggy there will be games played HOWEVER I have a sneaky suspicion that MISSLING is holding a secret weapon. And the he might spring it at the most damaging time to the shorts. Do you remember the AF Bash piece in October? Overnight he uplisted to NASDAQ! "Coup de Gras!" Now he has an unknown and growing list of possible weapons. Has he not shown that he is fully capable of wielding these weapons at the most strategically important junctures?
He will not standby for another rape of his beautiful darling of great promise bio-tech baby at the hands of the dirty stinking filthy institutionally and media entrenched avaricious scum. Hopefully he will have a greater audience for his next feat of bravery. But even without the Terminator we will win. But we have the Terminator and he will have his day!. Book it!
Good Luck Brother and GO AVXL!
Thank you Brother you have been solid this whole past year as the 12" steel of your vault door that hold your shares. I believe this is a matter of fate.

Nice thanks for the options alert of yesterday, stimulated some serious thought and actions. Today's action in options seemed to signal locking in gains on profitable options trades so one could buy at the bid or close to. Usually one must wait for weeks and endure risks of negative news/market while one's bids are hanging out there.
Might this just now start to get really interesting?

As sure as shooting and damn "TUTE"ing my friend!
They tested a nuclear weapon type algo with KBIO and executed it on BA on Feb 11 2016 and it almost brought down the whole market. I had said after the KBIO fiasco they would try it on either APPLE or BOEING. The fact that they tried it on Boeing led me to believe that yes Skrelli is a Tool of the
Russian Mob (KBG in Exile)because if it was for maximum impact on markets of the USA it would have been APPLE as the target.
The NSA seems scary because it is so secret but in really it is just a bunch of Patriotic Nerds who have our back.

Stop loss orders are for the scared Cats and ETFs where they make sense. IF one feels the need to have a stop loss order in Biotech one should drill down to a focused ETF that fits one's investment thesis. Stinky bids are for the smart and brave, saying in effect " sure shorty drive it down here to "come to pappa"" Ha! I started buying AVXL only that way last year but switched to buying every week if up have a sandwich if down have a full meal deal.
Good Luck Everyone! The Die is cast!
I had to do something with all those Angry Hornets they were itching for a fight. And they got it they nearly doubled my position in far term and medium term Calls at "in the money" or just off the money with about 10% of my capital outlay. I would have rather had the "in the moneys" at Oct and "at the money" at Jan 17 but I left it to the Hornets and they stuck the targets as they appeared. I have a some that are at extreme risk being Aug 7.5s unprotected I put in a stinky before I knew how cheap the Octobers would become.
But in the words of Matthew, that famous Cool Cat Texas Movie Star,,, I think everything will be..... "alright allright! allright!!"
Soon we will know if we eat the big fish or the big fish eats us!

Glad you are here Brother, real traders provide real liquidity. Nothing worse than to be trapped in a position because trading volume is too light. Welcome to the circus and to the board. Near term prospects are as important to long prospects when deciding when to enter or exit a position. So the input of a smart ebb and flow guy is always appreciated.
Good Luck on all your "Tickers"
They shook the tree so hard it shook up the Call Options tree I filled my stinkys on Jan 17 5s and Oct 7.5s Calls sweet! Then the rest of the day the options were super liquid and on sale! I hope I did not step in dodo But I woke up to the fire sale and started selling all my losers to load the F'ing boat with Oct 7.5s and Jan 5s, for some odd reason Oct 5s and Jan 7.5 s were hard to get so I took what I was given and seems like a super discount. Maybe profit taking and protection by the smart early players in these. But it is OK guys and gals I got the baton and will run it from here. ( I hope!) I will run these to finish line.
Now the Die is cast and we shall see what happens!
Go Luck Brother and to All!
When I had cancer and before the Doctors found it but I knew in my heart I had it, I meet a professional hypnotist and after talking to me and no mention of my sickness he looked at me sideways a little bit and commented out of the blue, "you are are very brave man." You are a braver man my friend.
I also met a very thin but very healthy looking man again before the doctors diagnosed me we had a very long and very comfortable conversation. He, a stranger, seemed to know everything about me very weird but very calming. He had a message basically watch out for your health but everything MIGHT be OK. After that I had a profound feeling of hope and peace after months of living each day struck though with fear.
My brother who was the best Cat in the world the best father the best son the best brother anyone could imagine the best smile and funny happy and positive never a bad word for anyone super smart and super good looking and fit. He died suddenly in what was termed "controlled flight into terrain" Big Bear Mountain. Nothing was left of him or his airplane. Just his Rolex stopped and the moment of his rebirth.
One is apt to ask why him? Especially as he had three high school age daughters who loved their best Daddy in the world and one newborn daughter.
So what should men like you and I ask ourselves? Why are we still here?
God Bless You Brother!
Prime numbers are some spooky $hit, they showed up on me again today. I randomly bought the options so graciously put on sale today at 2 different strikes (5s and 7.5s) and the number factored into primes was 7*3 to the third power.
The last time I did some random numerology on AVXL I was trying to find the ratio of what I sold to what I held but instead multiplied 42(with zeros) by 185(with zeros) needless to say I was a bit taken aback when I looked at my calculator. The product of the first four primes and the twelfth prime number 37 (the second star number after the Unity) Sweetly spooky? hehe! I $hit you not that is too stupid to make up. Needless to say I went about recovering the shares I sold and continued to accumulate.
Well I guess we will find out soon enough whether we will be filleting a big Tuna we caught or whether that big Tuna will pull us out of the boat and into the deep.
God Bless you brother and may your investments be squared but more importantly may the joy of your life be cubed!
Go Anavex Life Sciences!
I have never seen such liquidity in Options. I guess those who were smart and bought them early are locking in there gains and passing the baton. The puzzle of the 300+ plus calls Aug 10s @$0.30 and 300+ puts Aug 5s at $0.35 is solved someone sold the puts and bought the calls if both fail then pocket $1500 if puts fail then got an excellent price on 3000 shares. If the 10 calls win well...I assume the drift is apparent.
Of these things of which we had posted to each other. It is very different than what we had assumed or speculated. One can only deduce on reflection quite the opposite of what we both assumed. I can not tell you straight out well because I have not placed my position but it will not be it at the strike where you have the controlling interest so I am not worried.
This board is truly a cohesive unit, no wonder there are references to AVXL Army.
I will tell you what I surmise. It is too brilliant and brave to be a crowded trade. Hint, what caused me to open the conversation? Then rotate the rubic cube.
I have XENAs email i will ask her to email you what I surmise/suspect. But think hard and have a V8 (or nice Breck Ale)and you might come the the same high powered conclusion. Even if a co-incidence (unicorn!? ha!) still the solution is brilliant!
NOT LUCK at this point it is a matter of FATE!
Go Anavex Life Sciences!
I agree one can be right as rain on the stock but be wrong on the timing, taking the longer term Jan 2017 reduces greatly the timing risks and a down general market can stall the best individual stocks. Also your spread strategy reduces risk and give more flexibility to your future trades. Possible losses on the higher strikes could be offset be gains on the "in the money" strikes. If the price has not met the higher strikes one can sell them as long as they have time value then sell them naked if the price starts to rise again but can not get hurt if one holds an equal number at a lower strike. The lower strike appreciation would just be capped at the higher strike which one sold naked at. (A collar) But to be able to effectively trade options like that there needs to be much greater liquidity with open interest in the thousands not hundreds. I believe we will see much more interest in options when the price is in the $20s or better after all why buy options when one could have the whole banana for low $4s just a few weeks ago.
I hope all your call options will be deep in the money soon my friend!
Go AVXL!
Yes you do! And if my memory serves me correct you hold about 1/3 of the open interest in the Jan 17 2.50s and acquired them when the stock was hanging in the low $4s. Brilliant Move! I have the Jan 17 5.00s. But I have a distinct expectation the the Jan 17 7.50s will be the new deep in the money 2.50s. The good thing about deep in the money far term options besides moving 1 to 1 with the stock is there is very little time value to decay so one can take one's time rolling them up to higher strike prices and out to further expiry dates.
I would say good luck but that is not really applicable when really what we have here is a matter of fate, of faith and the courage of one's convictions.
Go Anavex Life Sciences.
Well we did end at 7.11 and one can not get those odds in a casino. So question becomes "what will you do with all that money?" ;) I still prefer the longer term options. I would rather pay a little more for the safety of a longer term option rather than an insurance Put for a data event. Now if it was a FDA decision we were waiting on I would say heavy on insurance with Puts because of the uncertainty of FDA "politics."
Go AVXL!
On paper it looks good and in a stock with more liquid options. There might not be an enough "open" interest to sell those options even at discount. One would likely have to sell quickly at the bid and there might not be any bidders due to high volatility in the stock so might get stuck holding to maturity and then hope one side or another is in the money. (Please Lord let it be the Calls!)
It would seem preferable to buy the longer term calls, where liquidity is less of an issue and balance the risk with the close term cheaper puts.
But it will be interesting to watch. I might have interest in the Jan 17s and Oct 16s but there is virtually no interest in the Sept 16s and of yet.
Good Luck to All especially Long call option buyers, may they win big!
Go Anavex!
The twitter "Babe" who gained the trust of this board by saying she was going to the conference and would report to us in real time via twitter, then proceeded as a possible tool of the trolls and reported on the conference in a jaded and slanted way and even surreptitiously and illegally photographed and released photographs to "prove her misrepresentations and misconstructions" of the data. Her name was Emmi or Iam Ennui, or something like! Needless to say we all became utterly weary and discontent of her and finally just bored of her. We were all annoyed and dissatisfied with her reporting. ;)
Go AVXL!
One would hope and assume that at some point it would be posted on the Anavex website and that the gist of it be included in a carefully worded PR release. Possibly someone else has an idea of the possible timing of the release?
GO AVXL!
I expressed my point indelicately, inaccurately and inelegantly. It was not to down play the evil or pain and suffering of Cancer or to denigrate the Nobility of Alzheimer's sufferer's. My point was NOT that Alzheimer's is a greater suffering than forms of Cancer or that it is a greater ill. Only that since in later stages near death the Alzheimer's sufferer might be mercifully unaware of his/her suffering and thereby can not be an inspiration to others. Maybe after all that is not a bad thing but it does shift the suffering to other's, while the sufferer is mercifully unaware the loved one's feel the suffering and suffer in their own right.
While John Wayne and Patrick Swayse were be all accounts very courageous to the end, Ronald Reagan's burden was borne by Nancy and courageously faced and witnessed by her. I believe Ronald if given the choice would have accepted any other death than the one he suffered or any death that would have been less suffering for Nancy, than "The Long Goodbye."
While cancer is a greater drain on the individual, it MIGHT be that Alzheimer's is a greater drain on the sufferer's loved ones and society and therefore deserves greater government funding than what it currently receives.
I beg your indulgences and apologize for the poor expression of my thoughts to all in my prior posts on this subject.
My great hope is that, Anavex Life Sciences is successful in developing drugs "to treat Alzheimer's disease (AD), other central nervous system (CNS) diseases, pain and various types of cancer."
Go Avanex Life Sciences
Well having survived cancer myself and having watched my Mother die of Parkinson's and the fact that I drew strength for my fight against Cancer by the inspiration and courage my Mother showed in facing her Parkinson's. I will stand by my statement. If she would have had Alzheimer's instead she would not have know what was happening to her therefore could not have exhibited the courage, cheerfulness, acceptance and inspiration she exhibited to the very end. I will stand by my statement Sir, it is not romanticized it is my experience.
Go Anavex Life Sciences, defeat Alzheimer's!
A wide strangle, 370 Aug 10s Calls @0.35 and 315s Aug 5s Puts @0.30 could be a strangle BUT the price would need to fall to (not counting 2x comm.) $4.35 to break even or rise to $10.65 to break even within 29 days SO seems like a bet on HUGE volatility. For it to be successful would need utter failure of data out of the box, seems unlikely. So it seems like a hedged Call play. Sell the 10 Calls early on a parablic move for a profit then wait for the pull back and sell the 5 Puts into the fear/panic on correction.
But who knows it is all a guess and just because an some investor is playing these is little indication they know what they are doing. A 300 of strangle of each Aug 10s Calls @0.35 and 300 Aug 5s Puts is $19,500 before two way commissions. And this being a very small volume of trading in options in this microcap it seems the biggest risk is that the options are highly illiquid. But it does seem like more than a co-incidence that these high volumes of puts and calls of the same magnitude were traded the same day.
Interesting play and one I would not do. Small cap options have such high liquidity risks, that any plays even ones in the money and furthest out expiry dates carry much more that the normal risks. I will watch this to see how it plays out, a nice little side show to the stock price action.
But I fervently hope the Aug 10s Calls work out for them!
Good Luck to All!
