Agreed...eom
This is interesting too....kid looks familiar...dyes mentioned again

Is it possible LWLG had the techs at CU sign a NDA regarding their work on the modulator?
Rick's posting sounds a lot like what TZ was referencing at the SHM.
Either this fellow worked on it or coincidentally they have multiple undergrads having success in photonics.
Hire the man, give him the Nobel, sell some hardware!
IHub's server needs some LWLG love. eom
Sweet ride, Red...eom
I second that SS. Nothing wrong with a doing a little cheerleading for a personal victory. Anything to keep the spirit and faith.
I'd imagine they'll be involved
"LightCornBusinessMachines"!!!!!
Soon grasshopper, very soon.
I wonder if Reynard Corporation will be doing the testing or if it will be LWLG in house?
Interesting company...http://www.reynardcorp.com/
Good news X...I was hoping you didn't disappear on us.
Can't really answer that, (Chem and Metallurgy grades not up to par), but I searched "gold-layered fused silica substrates" and found an article referencing the "bond strength".
Also this although not sure if it applies. "Silver is fine for many things, but where a very low voltage and low current is involved (for example in some electronics signals) the tarnish can interfere with the signal and gold must be used instead."
Tested in the new clean room I hope.
Lightwave Logic submitted an order with Reynard Corporation in San Clemente, California to produce gold-layered fused silica substrates for its bleached waveguide modulators that will be coated with several of the Company's organic electro-optical polymers. The substrates will be delivered in early November and performance tested throughout December.
Merry Christmas!
Where is Walto? I hope all is well with him.
Some frequent notable posters have been missing from this board for the last few weeks...

Thanks for staying on top of that KC...I forgot about it. Where are the wafers???
Rick, did you post a link? eom
It doesn't matter if staff from DE decide to move to CO or not. If they have the science or think they are definitely on the right track for the science, tech will be lining up to work.
If they still need more staff to complete the science, then by all means hire them.
This hereby ends my comments on the hiring policies of LWLG for new staff members, for the foreseeable future.
I can't follow the logic behind the Steve Jobs comment.
That might be true, although if someone told me back in the 70's that I'd have to leave the east coast for the west coast to work for a company named Apple, I think I may have moved.
I'm picturing an "Eureka" moment for LWLG and the additional resources, staff, labs, etc. falling into place, after all, if I possess the Holy Grail, it doesn't really matter if I drive it to the museum in a pickup or a Rolls.
This may be wishful thinking on my part but that's why I enjoy this board's opinions.
Inversor, my feeling is that the hiring of new personnel is incidental to the science. I would think they have the needed amount of hands available to complete the science. Once they say, "We got it!" the rest will fall into place. Techs and staff will be hired to work on variations and testing and production.
I don't know if this feeling is correct or not and I'd welcome your thoughts.
I'm sure they would have hired more after the PP if they felt they needed more. Hiring at this stage tells me they are not where they want to be. Not hiring at this stage tells me they feel they are on the right track with current resources and personnel.
I like the direction we're speaking about. Like the dawn of a new era.
Rock on, brother!
Mr. George Lauro (I believe is doing the marketing)
Mr. Lauro has 25 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur, operating executive and venture capitalist. He was a Managing Director at Wasserstein Perella, and head of West Coast technology investing. He has led and syndicated 18 private equity financing rounds and control deals, raising over $100M equity financing for portfolio companies and completed over $1 billion in M&A transactions.
After attending Brown (BSEE), the Wharton School (MBA) and MIT (graduate studies aeronautical engineering), Mr. Lauro began an extensive and varied career in the hi-tech industry holding positions primarily focused on the commercialization of emerging technologies. He served as the Director of Technology Commercialization at IBM where he was responsible for transitioning technologies from research labs to the market. Also, he was the Director of New Business Development for Motorola. Mr. Lauro has previously served on numerous corporate boards of both public and private technology companies.
Odd and Coolair...odds are 50/50 as to which of your guesses are accurate. I hope and agree with Cool but unfortunately Odd might be right.
Either way, I hope those college students Buzz mentioned are working hard.
Well said...eom
I don't like to hear that Six...I don't know which way this is going to go but I enjoy you being part of it.
I think we're all experiencing the post ASM doldrums...we allowed our expectations to rise too high prior to and now we feel let down. Understandable. Stay positive, my friends...let's see what's around the next bend...
Good question...I believe it was TZ at the ASM that said he was disappointed the vote didn't carry. I would have thought mngt would have communicated the importance of it passing and initiated another vote quickly. Only thought is that according to their timetable it wasn't needed in near term...only for future...and they feel they can address it later.
"The provided analysis can easily be extended to study the influence of surface treatments and buffer layers on the silicon substrate, which are viable routes to improve the electro-optic coefficients of hybrid silicon-polymer systems."
Yeah, I've been getting the stink eye too.
Come on you college students!!!!! Less beer, more perk!
Wise you're cracking up...get a handle on it brother.
Or a least light the way when I head down the same path!
I think many of us have reevaluated our positions in LWLG since the ASM. Many have gone from positive to questioning. Management's next communication better not be a "blurb" designed to pacify.
Agreed Proto...we've been enjoying the silence for too long.
