Whizz....those MM are scurrying like rats; moving the bid/ask around as fast as a possible buy at the bid comes in. They have spread back to 50% again, and are trying to kill buying any way they can.
Manipulation. Pure and simple!
Gary.....why do I have this feeling that Bixmann is not going to show up? You went through the same crap with Jetfuel at that fancy eatery in D.C. and StockWhizz wasn't able to connect with thegambler in Vegas. Wish I could attend!
Whizz......Business will continue to be business, and nothing more. There are too many interests that desire trade between the two countries. Politics is regulated soma for the masses.
Gary.....So if a 144 shareholder, who may have no intention to sell his stock, simply files to remove the stock legend each quarter: this stock can then be shorted for as long as it remains in inventory?
So there is no way, except for requesting your certs, to avoid having your stock shorted. The brokers, MM and clearing houses control everything.
Gary....a question on 144 stock. If a 144 holder files to either sell his stock or quarterly remove the legend on the stock, does his stock become "inventory" with the clearing house?
I guess I am unclear as to the progression of the cert during this process. I understand that if you give your cert to your broker for "safekeeping", the broker will send it along to the clearing house. Is it at that point that the stock becomes inventory, and can be shorted by anyone that has access to clearing house information?
Tom
Bix.....still waiting for you to respond to my questions I posed to you in a private message.
Demand for CBQI is being KILLED daily by the MM. Do you consider a spread of .16/.27 REASONABLE? Heck, someone must have tried to buy at .25, so rather than sell some stock the MM just raised the ask instead. This is all about SHORTING, and trying to scare 144's in selling so the shorts can cover.
Are you going to meet with Mr. Fisher this week and personally voice your concerns? Understand you are flying into Florida.
Tom
Gary.....I especially enjoyed the "forced" trade after the bell! Imagine the sheer panic that shareholder must have experienced not being able to sell. Why, those cruel and heartless MM! Thank God there are rules that were enforced, so this poor shareholder now has $93 and change to buy food and shelter!
Just curious, Bix, but what state do you live in? Are your initials J.F?
Tom in Atlanta
Gary....I was struck at how unusual it was for Bixmann to refer to Mr. Bart Fisher as "BART". I could literally feel the emotional outburst from Bixmann as he typed in that name. It read like an angry child lashing out at an adult for some imagined transgression.
It is highly likely that old Bix is a disgruntled ex-employee bent upon revenge at any price. Or, of course, Bix could just be another run-of-the-mill shorter who is getting tired of waiting for the 144's to sell their stock so he can cover. Both types are getting to be so mundane and predictable these days. Have the Bashers of the World forsaken creativity for the convenience of old platitudes? Tell me it ain't so!
Gary.....A market maker is charged with the responsibility to "make a market" in a stock. Do not 50 to 80 percent spreads violate the intention of that responsibility?
Now I realize that the SEC would probably state something like "CBQI is a thinly traded stock, and these kind of things sometimes happen". However, the very magnitude of the spread diminishes (or even kills) investor interest.
Is it possible that CBQI could petition the SEC to investigate this double standard?
Invest....must be with your provider. We finished the day at the bid price of .15625 with 9700 shares trading all at or near the bid.
Looks like another day of short covering.
blue......now if you were simmering brats in beer, had some good rye brat rolls, some German potato salad, fried cheese balls and some root beer chilling on ice: Well, now you have a meal!! I hate cabbage!!
Tom
rvd.....got to love these MM. Can we believe that some poor, desperate soul needed money bad enough to sell 10K at .16? This is all about short-covering, IMO.
Regarding the news release of this morning: EasySoft deal should now "close by the end of the month". Probably better not to rush this along.
I would guess that financials would not wait for EasySoft closure, but who knows?
Nice bios on both Fishers.
Good grief! Now Hammer is posting on RB that he is "concerned as to why CBQI would get rid of someone like John M".
What the heck is going on here?
Gary....I can understand if the K may be delayed, due to last-minute events like a buyout of another company. But I am having a very hard time understanding the reluctance of Mr. Moran to release any PR's. Surely there must be things that have occurred in the last 45 days that would warrant some publicity. You would think that he prefers operating in the dark. How is anyone supposed to learn about CBQI and discover its incredible potential.
Couldn't figure out if there was some selling or short covering today.
Tom
Whizz.....without infrastructure in place, no company can progress or survive for long. China will eventually grab a lot of software business from India/Pakistan, and CBQ will benefit greatly. Your grumbling resolves nothing!
rvd.....MM have to be counting on one or more 144 shareholders to starting selling shares, so they are tightening the screws even more. But what happens if nobody sells and, instead, buying starts because of good financials? I remain optimistic.
oldblue.....this news release is a really big deal. The combination of the non-dilutive agreement, coupled with the bicontinental access to future financing, positions CBQI to become a serious challenger to India for software writing.
The MM and shorters are going to play CBQI really hard now. They are still gambling, I think, on 144 stock sellers. Hard to imaging anyone selling with this news, so expect the MM to band together to protect each other. But when this deal officially closes, watch out!
I didn't know the sun came out in DePere this early in the year. I have been away from Wisconsin too long.
Gary....good to hear that you arrived safely. Looks like Liz is going to have to learn to cook something besides possum and greens. Since Florida is home to gators and such, at least you won't starve. To help Liz out in the kitchen, I think the least we all can do is chip in and buy her a "croc"-pot!
Well, I just got a phone call, and it is now official......the Ga Bard is now the Fl Bard, as their caravan just crossed the border into Florida. Gary and family are doing fine, and will get to their destination in one piece, provided that Gary can keep Leadfoot Lizzie away from the wheel.
I don't understand how they got past the border patrol with such ease. Guess that Jed Klampett disguise and all the furniture piled up on the car must have fooled the guards!
Gary.....I believe that we could shout for equality and justice until we were unable to croak out another syllable, and "high finance" would still continue to have selective hearing. Banding together for mutual sharing/pooling of financial information can save us from costly, stupid investment decisions.....but collectively we don't affect the elephant any more than the flea crawling up the beasts leg with carnal pleasure on its little mind.
Still, every so often a bad guy gets caught, pays a fine or does a little time. In cyberland, it is d a m m hard to figure out who is good or bad, friend or foe. It is very much like the scripts used by the wrestling promoters. They can change the villain into hero (and back again) with the stroke of a pen. Posters can perform the same alchemy with the click of a key.....so who do you trust - who can you trust?
It is kind of a financial "Survivor" game that we engage in daily, but few of us realize that the game is mostly rigged and the cards are marked. But then again, investing is becoming more like betting every day, or is it the other way around?
Gary....Based upon the announcement by Lycos concerning their purchase of Raging Bull, I took the liberty of sending a (hopefully) courteous email to Lycos management. I asked them to review the current code of conduct followed by Raging Bull, and to do something about multiple posters. I urge everyone to send an email to Lycos and express their feelings. Perhaps we can effect some changes for the better.
Gary.....I noticed that Q-Net was mentioned as an "affiliate", instead of a subsidiary. Perhaps there are legal reasons for the distinction, but perhaps this might mean that the CBQ/Q-Net name will condense into one name. Seems a logical progression to me, since there is so much angst over the non-generation of income/business by CBQ as a stand-alone entity.
Gary....it would seem to me that our 2 websites should, and probably will, "morph" into 1 definitive website. Now as to how it should look (content and graphics) I would leave that to the experts.
If there are acquisitions in the works, and some pruning left to do on the CBQI corporate tree, then it is highly likely that changes to the websites are on hold until upcoming events are finalized. This makes good fiscal sense to me. JMO.
Tom
Gary.....a very happy birthday! Will Liz be cooking your favorite possum with greens recipe tonight?
Here is a quote from Samuel Clemens: "Life would be infinitely happier if we only could be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen."
jj.....Please correct me if I am wrong, but the person you were promoting as IR is more a PR person, is he not? So share price would be the focus, as opposed to development of infrastructure, information flow etc! Different positions that can produce vastly different time-dependent results.
Gary.....I believe ihub has a great chance to succeed. The ability to eliminate bashers from a stock discussion thread is a badly-needed option. Raging Bull has declined to below cesspool levels and, in my opinion, actually may be encouraging the personal attacks and spewing of false and misleading information in the mistaken belief that controvery is ultimately good for business.
Now I am not against critical debate on the merits of a stock, because this give-and-take is ultimately helpful in increasing the available flow of information on a security. If a stock is a dog or a scam, then we do all investors a service by alerting the investment community. Conversely, a stock that is unknown, but promising, can be brought to the attention of potential investors for a healthy debate, based on its merits.
I hope that Fatt Matt can get ihub prepared for increased traffic; Raging Bull is about ready to be "processed" in the stockyards.
Gary....I believe that the Bible, as we know it today, was "created" at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. It was during this assemblage that Church elders "patched together" the New Testament, while rejecting over 50 other available books and religious teachings for "the greater good".
It has been whispered that Al Gore created the concept of the Greater Good, thus proving that he watches out for the Nation's best interest both in the past and the future.
If I was the Reverand Jackson, I would be somewhat concerned about my position as spiritual leader to the disinfranchised, persecuted and downtrodden citizens of the universe. The Rev. Gore, if he losed the White House, will possibly usurp the Rev. Jackson and become the spiritual leader of the Global Rainbow Village.
"Gorey, Gorey Hallelujah...His Truth Keeps Marching On."
Let's put to rest, once and for all, the illusion that all this political turmoil is going to resolve and champion "the will of the people".
The underlying and motivating factors are, in fact, power and patronage. Remember that $750 million dollars was spent nationwide by all political candidates. There are many thousands of political and appointed positions yet to be awarded to "deserving candidates". The "financiers" of our current election are waiting to be repaid for their monetary support.
Many generous "donors" are now being solicited again by both parties as they seek additional funds to continue the battle for "democracy". How deep will those pockets prove to be on this go-around?
Make no mistake, the only winners in this ongoing fiasco will be the numerous attorneys representing all sides. One can only hope that these virtuous souls do not wear out their adding machines while tabulating their bills.....for "services rendered in the name of the people". The resulting lawsuits against the manufacturers of defective calculators would be, at the very least, "unpleasant".
Waiting for the Rev. Jackson to write a book called "How to Protest Just About Anything For Fun and Profit". That the news media gives him air time to spout his hate-mongering only shows how low the profession of journalist has sunk. The Rev. Jackson has morphed into a latter-day champion of lies, lawlessness and disorder. He has become an on-call, 24/7 avenger: ever ready to travel the world to do battle with reason and common sense. He glorifies the belief that is noble to proclaim the status of "victim", and that only he (and his handlers) can offer salvation.
The Rev. Jackson deserves not one ounce of respect and credibility by any rational person.
I have heard several financial analysts state that Wall Street would be very pleased with gridlock.
You can bet that there will be absolutely no cooperation between either party, regardless of who gets to be President.
Let's all declare that Bush is the problem! I believe that this is the strategy of the Gore braintrust. Make it seem that "for the good of the country" Mr. Bush should go quietly into the night. Declare that the "will of the people" has spoken loudly throughout Florida and America. It is the "people" that have declared (and desire) Mr. Gore to be their candidate of choice.
This is clever misdirection intended to create intense feelings of passion, patriotism and hero worship. The Gore camp has enlisted the aid of the Rev. Jackson. Presumeably he is on the scene to console the grieving, confused voters who feel violated of their voting rights by a government that was out to get them. Imagine the outrage of all these wealthy Jewish retired people because they were so cruelly manipulated by a confusing ballot.
This is class warfare being run by masters. What this election tell me is that there is a definite desire by the American public to create political gridlock. And guess what: they have done it. Our view of politics is much like a psychotic person trying to define reality: what we think we see is seldom what we wanted, but often just what we deserved!
