I voted too. For all. Come on Six, buy some shares and vote em"!
This is from 14 months ago. The clean room must be completed by now, right?
LONGMONT, Colo., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. (OTCQB: LWLG), a technology company focused on the development of Next Generation Photonic Devices and Non-Linear Optical Polymer Materials Systems for applications in high speed fiber-optic data communications and optical computing, announced today the opening of its new 5,000 square-foot corporate headquarters and photonic device facility at 1831 Lefthand Circle, Suite C, in Longmont, CO 80501.

The Company has also commenced construction on a class 100 clean room within the facility to be outfitted with planar waveguide fabrication capabilities suitable for prototype and pre-production runs of electro-optic silicon organic hybrid technology circuits.
The clean room, along with the new optical testing and electro-optic polymer formulation lab within this new facility, will significantly enhance Lightwave's capability to manufacture prototype photonic devices for the defense, commercial telecom, and data communications industries. The Company's synthetic chemistry facilities will remain in Delaware to leverage the analytical chemistry talent base available in that region.
Technical capabilities within the facility--expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2014, are designed to be self-contained for prototype development and to accomplish secondary manufacturing steps on silicon organic hybrid devices. This investment in infrastructure will augment the capacity also available through the Company's sponsored research agreement with the Dr. Alan Mickleson's Guided Wave Optics Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Tom Zelibor, CEO of Lightwave Logic commented, "Having our own sophisticated facility will allow us to more efficiently develop devices to penetrate major telecom and datacom opportunities. This location is also in close proximity to photonics companies engaged in a variety of technologies such as defense LADAR, parallel optical computing, cloud server technologies and secure optical communication networks that if combined Lightwave Logic's electro-optic polymer technology, could have distinct competitive differentiation.
"Our long-range plan is to have direct control of all proprietary fabrication processes under this vertically integrated facility where we can provide design support and production capability of complex waveguides, modulators, transceivers, and optical thin film component assemblies for our current partnerships and potential new customers."
I took it as LWLG Mngt spoke to Intel, IBM, etc....Intel wasn't interested at that time...IBM was...that's what went through my mind when I heard those statements. I have no idea to what extent they were or were not interested or if any of that has or will change.
Intel may have felt they were the big dog and who is this pup barking up their tree. IBM may be interested in gaining a leg up on Intel.
Speculation on my part.
I believe he said that at last year's shareholder meeting. I took it to mean that Intel has been the benchmark for a long time but LWLG's tech would surpass it. (I also read into it that perhaps he had a bone to pick with them for calling them out that way)
Purely my take on the statement he made.
Understood. Thanks and good luck with your efforts.
Broker Non-votes exceeded 100% of all votes cast. (not 50%)
I think what would make a lot of this more palatable, would be a share price that puts most of us in the black. Once the pps reaches the point that most have made some money the attention will shift to moving forward.
That number will vary, but once it is attained for the majority of shareholders things will be much better.
I'm voting YES to all, to facilitate this move forward.
Broker said proxy will be emailed to me within the next week or so.
Question to Walt...according to Inversor's numbers from post 15449, Broker Non-votes exceeded 50% of all votes cast. For the record it was For 18,525,828 -- Against 1,154,070 -- Abstain -- 105,647 Broker Non-votes -- 20,052,126
Do you know if procedures have been enacted overseas to allow these votes to now be counted?
I was in favor last year and surprised it didn't pass.
Will the brokers do their job this time?
Can anyone find fault in inversor's logic here?
Jssdmm, thx coming out and providing input.
Sounds good Inversor....want me to pass along your vote too, along with my own?
Thanks...I haven't received anything from broker yet.
Anyone know how we receive the actual proxy statement to vote our shares?
I believe I contacted LWLG through email last year for instructions.
Thanks
I go out to play golf and leave IHuB alone for the day and this is what you guys are up to?? Haha
Get back in when you decide to...I want to see you at the investor party.
Good point...thanks for heads up on that. I'm holding with what I have until business picks up and I can add. Don't forget that we have Rick!
Trigger time, Six! Come on'!...eom
Well put Fullthrottle...I agree.
I don't know if Mngt and BOD are some of the best and brightest, or not. I hope so. What I do know is that I'm not a big fan of the status quo here. I'm voting FOR. We have to take a shot and now is the time. They need to be given all the tools and support possible from shareholders.
I don't see what anyone hopes to gain from voting AGAINST. Just sell and move along Betty.
Speaking for myself and another investor that is mute on this board...our discussion was that we should either vote FOR the increase or sell. We are not selling. Open sesame funnel...
I fell off the bar stool at harpoon Hanna's once. She picked me up and cradled me in her arms against her bosom until I felt better. Lovely woman.
IHUB shows no volume. Scottrade at .81....111K vol
X, thanks for taking the time to review the 10k and provide your take on it. I appreciate it.
Seems mngt made a effort to publish a history of testing results...response to repeated pleas?
We believe now that we have fabricated electro-optic molecular architectures that do in fact exhibit extremely high thermal stability, our technologies may soon replace inorganic electro-optic materials in the marketplace due to their considerable advantages over traditional inorganic fiber-optic materials.
I don't believe the recent 400k volume was the result of a newsletter. I don't think that newsletter exists. A poster miraculously appears and offers a vague explanation and is engaged in discussion regarding it?? I may be wrong and to each his own but if I thought the only SP increase I was going to see was because of subscription newsletters I'd be gone Monday morning at 9:31am.
I have a paid subscription to a Popular Science magazine....when LWLG is mentioned in it, I'll pass some hints along to you guys....won't be able to fully disclose though....it's all very hush hush....need to know kind of stuff. Your dentist may have a copy of it sitting around in his waiting room though.
Could the exercising of options by mngt be a reason?
Leeleeel = grain of salt
Do us a favor Smars...put a buy order in for $10!!
Think we'll hear the words Corning and IBM at the shareholder meeting , Gates?
Resolute works too!
I think LWLG investors are a stubborn bunch, so you're not alone. You have good weekend too.
Agreed FullThrottle...by the way, that Fletch pic of yours cracks me up everytime I see it.
Makes sense to me. eom
Probably investors on lunch break.
In case investors bum rush the podium? What is your take on Proposal 3 being reintroduced?
Is there any point to moving the meeting up three months, just to deliver negative news? No, I think it must be a positive, significant message.
What are your thoughts on Proposal 3, that wasn't passed at the last meeting and not subsequently addressed? Could a reason for the scheduling change be to address this?
Excerpt of Proposal 3:
If approved, the increased number of authorized shares of common stock and preferred stock will provide the Company with the ability to issue shares in connection with acquisitions, stock splits or dividends, the sale of common stock or preferred stock to raise additional capital, stock option and other equity compensation arrangements and other general corporate purposes. The shares could be issued from time to time for such purposes as the Board of Directors may approve and, unless required by applicable law, no further vote of our stockholders will be required. The Company has no current plans, proposals or arrangements for the issuance of any of the additional shares to be authorized by the amendment described in this Proposal 3.
I'll go too, if Pit and Proto promise to sit next to each other at the meeting.
