and before the 10k that we need to digest. Seems it was not thought out well.
RJ, interesting post about management change. Tom will likely not want to give up any control if he sees the company having a good chance of success. Maybe Marcelli is on the call to say good bye and introduce his replacement. A little off topic but Tom already indicated they want a new CTO. Fasick or Pickett could be replaced with stronger board members.
You won't see Canadian trades if you own Niobf.
It's trading in Canada.
Usually today would be when they submit that they'll be filing the 10k late.
Walter, those guidelines don't seem like they would preclude Lightwave from releasing the test results if there are only results to PR. The news may be more complex than that, in which case I believe the quiet period is a valid excuse.
In 2011 they issued 2 press releases right before the 10K, 1 about newly granted patents and the other about an R&D agreement with CUNY.
Spooks, I hope you're on the conference call. I'm worried too many will be blinded by the light and not seize the opportunity to ask pointed questions.
That would explain why he didn't keep his old ID. Edit: Nevermind, I mixed Sarge up with M.Barryville
Half&Half, who were you on Yahoo?
I think you're reading into the use of that word too much.
Good news can only help the volume so much when it doesn't get released by the company.
That is hopefully the case. Tom gave off the impression a merger would occur sooner rather than later. Then there was the message board chatter that it would occur in November and then December. My inclination is they could not come to an agreement on price. From the other party's perspective it would be risky to take a good bit of stock from a company that is still unsure if their material will be successful. Now that the stock is up so much someone might be kicking himself for not being more flexible with negotiations.
Either way things seems to be working out better for us and that's what matters most.
F2, do you think they have received test results from the LSS?
I'm not expecting to see a name either, but I am conscience of the impact it would have if made public. If they don't PR results and they have them Tom is probably sandbagging for the conference call. I hope they issue a release for them. I can picture the PR now "Lightwave Logic Receives Intriguing Test Results From Fortune 100 Microelectronics Company" LOL
A little trouble brewing for CBMM?

Seems the natives are not happy. If things get a little rocky for CBMM it would be the best thing that ever happened to NioCorp.
I wonder if scout4stock still holds the rest of his shares?

"SMARRS, I too sold over 80% of my total shares on 2/2/12 and 2/3/12 also. I suspected that jump was a ruse, and LPC would be tapped for funds, and the pps would begin to fall soon after, with the lack management support. Now that the pps is at this level, I suspect it will be option time for the insiders once again. The pattern is obvious, and well established here.
The fact of the matter is, my level of confidence in the current management is waning. That's why, when the pps peaked, I jumped all over it. Whew! For now I'll wait-n-see, just hanging-out in the patch"
I'm glad I read the article, I didn't know Tom joined the company and became CEO in 2011...
I guess it wouldn't be journalism if the facts were correct.
Looks like a future failed Apple product in the making.
There were some big bites from retail today.
PC just hit submit post once, or get a new computer with Lightwave gains lol.
I would really love to see any PR that has the name of the LSS in it. Even if there is nothing there about a contract. Lightwave has made 0 effort to attract new investors so PR that is linked to a company with a large investor base would do wonders for the stock.

Lightwave Logic (LWLG): 1st target achieved and offer beautiful AEX Autotrader
On 4 March, I went deeper into LWLG where exactly is doing and I gave a first price target on the short term. Well, today was that first price target already achieved. And ...
And there seems to be (much) more in the tank to sit! Technical analysis of 4 March: The proportion is clearly attracting reversal increases with volume. An important technical signal that the price has recently above the 200 day average is. MACD (12,26,9) is close to a crossover which could mean that LWLG on a short-term upward trend begins. Fibonacci In terms seems a first resistor to be within 1.59. A rate initially as a target can act today was the $ 1.59 already tapped! meantime also become clear that on 4 April, a conference call will take place, whereby the management latest developments will take a vision will give for the (near) future. (End of March we had estimated, so that's pretty good in direction) I expect very much from here. After all, when one is so far LWLG particularly reluctant to any "public relations" to the shareholders. Zelibor Tom, the CEO of Lightwave Logic, is someone who only in the spotlight will occur if there actually something to report. I therefore assume that there is good news to come from the partnership with a major chip maker. I expect for 4 April but a press release, so it will be exciting is very positive news for the course in a volatile illiquid share as LWLG through all resistances, and that in a very short time. The announcement of a global player in the chip market to stir worry! This moment seems very near to come! Symbol: LWLG Fund Code: 128778 ISIN: US5322751042 Last Price: U.S. $ 1.59 Best regards, Leon PS: Option Specialist AEX Auto Trading (A rating of Trader Shop) decreased in the period 26 March t / m 2 April 2013 the subscription price by 50%. In this way, I would greatly lower the threshold and you at a very reasonable price to see if this service may be for you. The short-term direction of the market is very well indicated by 2 fine indicators, so even if the positions are not 'd follow you still have a good guidance for short term trading. course you can also decide to transmit signals as normal 1:1 (to) follow. The efficiency of the first 5.5 months is a whopping 22.53% Net! click here for more information
Interesting. I didn't consider Samsung since they have been so focused on graphene.
Nice reasoning about Mickelson, I didn't consider that.
The coupons were coated and tested already. The PR on 2/28 was about prototype devices that the LSS sent us to coat with Indigo. Like you said, we already know how the material performs. That info came from testing the coupons. Successful overall performance of the device when paired with Indigo is much more important and far less assumable in my opinion.
I think we can all agree that these are the most important test results the company has ever received. The result of a significant amount of time, effort and money. To bury them in a 10k wouldn't make sense. PR's circulate better and reach a broader audience. New investors skimming for a good stock aren't going to just stop and read a 10K. If they have good news they need to get it out in a PR that is clear and concise.
I don't see us getting on the Nasdaq for quite some time based on the listing requirements. http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/121.asp

Don't get distracted. Stay focused on Steve. Bintz is full time and will go wherever partners or customers are located. He is not involved with the lab so he doesn't need to be close to Delaware. I contacted nLight and they didn't seem very happy they lost him. He left his job there to work for Lightwave. I wanted to make sure they didn't let him go and he was job hunting.
I think it's safe to assume he isn't here just to collect a paycheck. Some of what nLight does is centered around fiber optics. I suspect companies Bintz worked with at nLight would be interested in devices made with Lightwave's materials. After all he is in charge of product development, he is hopefully keeping himself busy if Lightwave doesn't have enough for him to do.
Is Steve in charge of the website? Lockheed Martin is still listed as someone we're working. It's been almost a year since that ended. http://www.lightwavelogic.com/applications_project_development.html
I'm not sure I would even call him part time. Most of the PR's we've gotten lately seem to be written by Tom. Steve has his own company in NYC, BioAegis Therapeutics. The people on this board have done far more to spread awareness about Lightwave than Steve has. I think he suckered Jim in with that Seeking Alpha article he wrote before he was hired.
I also wonder how it settles with a merger candidate looking over our finances to see a six figure salary for a PR person.
100% AGREE. Tom is great at adding new talented people but not at replacing weak links. Steve isn't a government employee Tom, you can get rid of him for doing his job poorly.
That shows how much outside interest a small company can attract if they have something that works properly.
This article mentions Intel. http://slashdot.org/topic/datacenter/compass-eos-makes-silicon-photonics-a-reality/
If had a $1 for every incorrect price prediction for ARNA I would be a rich man. Personally, I think we will be lucky to double before the year is over.
Someone bought shares premarket, that never happens with Lightwave. We usually get aggressive buying and a run up before good news is released.
I guess the results are good?
He lives in the Portland area and works in the nanotechnology industry. Bintz will be traveling so much that there is no need for him to relocate.
