Trading in the stock market is all about money management. Buy a little and wait. Never buy with all your capital and never have less than 5% cash in your profolio. If you want to blame the investers here for your losses than I would hope we can all share in you good fortune.
And please, show some documentation for the opinions you express as facts.
More and more pressure is added to effectuate the Cap and Trade Bill:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aOAiNTZBXsT0
State, City, Local taxes are rising as many of us think Cap and Trade is "liberal, big government, sosialism" DUH! Get a grip of this reality: a new Trillion Dollar Market can't hurt the economy!
This is a capitalistic answer to advance the health of the world.
Keep drinkin' that Big Energy cool-aid.
I'm sure your post was just a bit of the 'ol blarney. You are needed.
We had a hell of a volume (42.9 Mil) and not much of a sell off yesterday. To my understanding; it looks like buying pressure at distressed prices. Bears and Bulls doin' battle. I fully expected to see a larger price drop with all this volume. If that happens I will buy.
I truely do respect and admire share holders who have the guts to expose thier doubts about a company on a message board with international exposure. I hope other investers will vent their emotions, dreams and facts so all of us can evaluate and determine for themselves what they will invest thier cash into.
God Bless us all.
HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY! I gotta warn ya- I started drinkin' (done work but I'm stayin' off the cheese!)
Now here's the ticket as I see it:
Without a production report you are fabricating a conclusion.
The next Quarterly Report will tell us nothing...nada thing.
The extra one billion shares are just a protection against a hostile takeover from some knuckle head with a million bucks who would gain controling interest in the company. Screw up all the trust Doug has worked for with the people and communities that have offered land for future earnings.
They (Sierra Leonians) welcome the potential SGC brings and they understand what's at stake. Who the hell are you to doubt them?
Good to see ya back. Ya want a little cheese with that wine? If I can explain that first post---Nat Gas can be a transition fuel from coal to some form of regenerative plasma or whatever the future brings. Nat Gas can supply us with cheep and almost clean energy. Clean because it burns with limited by-products that conform to Kyoto protocal for ten years with minimum scrubbers. Any time I see a coal company buying gas drilling fields sends up an alarm. Coal hates gas. Oil knows gas as a by-product. This has been the cast of energy for 100 years.
Caps are good. Somebody has to yell on this board!
If ya think the share price is goin' down, tell us you sold at least some of your position so you could average down. If ya sell out, bye.
Cryin' about things is somethin' between you and your bartender. Please tip him well.
Good for you G
I didn't want to admit it Gem, but I hope the 'reality experts' get their way and share price goes into the .001 to .0013 range and I get my greedy hands on more before any news.(Got a bid for .0015 now)
A major coal company bought into Nat. Gas.

Not big news since they had Methane gas.
But----

There's a hell of a battle brewing in the US over Carbon Trade!
Thanks Roark. I bought SGC for it's unrealized potential. When you make money -- I'll make money. Good luck!
Here's a map of the Greenstone belt in west Africa:
http://www.nac-tsx.com/pdf/maliOverview/overview1.pdf
Some say these formations are over 4 Billion years old. If ya look at Sierra Leone there's a finger going right though the center. We're there and we dredge the rivers where gold and diamond have been washing down.
We just need some bucks and Carbon Credits look like the best and quickest path. Lots of potential.
I'm having fun. These are exciting times.
What's realy unusual is the volume today. I got the ten day average at 14.6 mill. It's 2:00 PM with 2.5 Million traded. Looks like everyone is holding their breath just waiting.........I won't dare sell. Not now. I won't buy either. I feel the same about all the gold miners right now. Is everybody waiting for Fed Meeting tomorrow?
Gold generally drops for the summer months- it didn't do it last year and this year may be the same.
Just my imagination. Haven't started drinking yet.
Insightfull conclusion at the end of your post. You and Eye have fed my imagination.
Check out this map and the Green Belts in Sierra Leone--

I almost forgot the reason I bought into this company back in September of 2007. GOLD!
CC's are fantastic for us. It's on the market and will be sold. I hope we control our need to call anyone everytime we loose site of the prize. On the other side of the coversation it comes off as a whine. (last field report)
I enjoy all the chatter about 'maybe this' or 'could be that' and all the 'what ifs'. All very interesting.
Eye, thank you. There would be winners and loosers but a new 2 Trillion dollar market wouldn't hurt the economy.
Some might think this is bad news:
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE62A4VK20100311
It hasen't hurt our share price.
Your right, the butt chewin' was Feb 14th. That makes two reports this year. Hummm, St. Patty's Day is the 17th. Maybe Crusader will be right. Sorry I missed that.
I know I have vacation time and if I could------ I'd take the next Greyhound to west Africa. Hahaha.
In 2009 the management had 15 field reports and now we got one in 2010. There's a break of two months (last one in Jan. 17)
I'm a creature of habit and I think management is too. I can't say that something is 'up' but when we change from talking about all the things we wanna talk about then we get quiet....well, there's two ways to take it:
Something got screwed up and got screwed up realy bad or..
Something is in the making and I just can't talk about it now.

Here's our listing. We're marketable.
This has been posted before and I am sorry if I'm stealing the value of your post. I hope you'll come forward and remind this board of your discovery.
Good advice G-Man.
The Question is: Did ya see that clip I posted? I love that movie. I'm older than dirt and twice as hard to kill! Hahaha
Here's My man Walter Huston. Here he is doin' the dance. Just give this about six minuits of your time.
Doug hasen't offered a Press Release and it's on every share holders mind. The more prudent among us will sell and use their money to invest into the next best company. I've done it with other companies.
I don't want to bash and I can't offer a time line for the share price to pump your investment. So it's up to you-----
You make the choice:
Do you hold?
Do you sell?
Do you buy?
If you're not having fun than all the money in the world isn't worth it. Most say you shouldn't trade with your heart. Good advice. Use your head.
On St Patty's Day ?!!!!! Pot-o-Gold at the end of the rainbow! I'll be doin' the Walter Huston Dance! From that old Humphry Bogart movie, "The Treasure of the Sierra Leone"
At least they'll eat well,G. If they buy or not.
Here's some news on what's goin' on with the EPA and US Carbon Market:
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6275EQ20100308
I'm not pushing any political or personal vue.
Just the facts, Ma'am
After all the posts I've come to realize we need the money now to start diggin' suckin' plantin' and show some production. Sell that puppy.
I don't think Rockefeller's bill will get anywhere but delay, delay, delay. And that's not good for us.
Yea Gem, but I like the company of G and Roj. And Keyboardman made an exelent point just to sell a little (SL1) and use the capitol right now when we can use it.
Big G and Rojotu, Maybe keyboard man has the answer. Sell a little. We can have SL2 and SL3 for the future.
Or do ya wanna go for the BIG one? Boy, that sounds like the reason I bought into this thing from the first day!
Aww come on, Rojotu, tell me I'm full of it and I'm drinkin' the cool aid from the company. You're a share holder. You got your hard earned dollars into this and you haven't a clue as to some kinda' production numbers.
Well ya know what? It's about time to show some production. Good or bad. I don't want a conference call. Let's just get a production report. We know dredging can be hit or miss. Let's hear about the ups and downs. It's March and we've been over the rainny season for two months.
I guess I have a two sided idea of an invester: Active or Benevelent. Icon would be the active type and Buffett, the other.
Icon wants to move a company forward with his interaction of the management and that works. He does have a lot to offer. He has a great gift for making things work. Buffett looks at the management and makes a judgement on thier abilities, pretty much letting things take thier course (he has been known to use derivitives and flip shares).
I choose the Benevelent side and understand that time is on our side as the Carbon Market is in it's infancy.
#1 You are right.
#2 I believe we give them a half but we make the choice. I have no documentation.
#3 Gold and diamonds are the company and CC's are puddin'. I'm disappointed that we don't have more dredges working and that was promised months ago. That can't be a positive for production and the management hasen't offered an explanation. If we have a confrence call with John he can't be expected to take responsability.
#4 If intelegence were proffitable Einstein would be a freeekin' billionare. Even dead. LOL
Newton, ya know the guy who got the apple on the head? He went to banking in his latter years and made a ka-billion.
There's been a few posts about the need to sell our Carbon Credits and sell them soon. I think you're wrong. We're sellers in a buyer's market. Now is not the time. I'm responding to a post offered by Crusader. Click on that post and read that info. Here's an artical in Bloomy:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aZ8zNBQafhxY
The coal industry is against it (CC) and that comes as no suprise. So the coal producing states want a bill to squash this thing or postpone it for a couple years. This is just what we want as sellers. Remember, a bill for Cap & Trade past the Congress last year and got nowhere in the Senat. The EPA can push regulation, it has that power and the Supreme Court told them so. Now they're (coal and petrolium/electric producers) up against the wall and something will get done. Or they'll just have to buy Carbon Credits. Once the US has a Carbon Market our credits will double in value.
There may be 100 or 200, maybe more buyers looking at our CC's. But they're under no pressure so they can push for their price.
There's no need to sell now.
Great info Doc. Reporting is twice a month. I told ya it was once. Duh! And I thought that changed when FINRA posted daily. You've added clarity. I like the way Old Geezer explained it. More to my nuts and bolts understanding. TY
Can I post again? I'll try to get my opinions accross this time. Wish me luck.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SGCP&p=D&yr=0&mn=3&dy=0&id=p31168594979&a=117202162
I won't errase things this time but more to the point-----
There's a pattern here that has strenghth. The most basic patterns are commpelling because simple is pure. (It's hard to kill dirt)
And if the price breaks the pattern to the negative? Then I'm buyin again at .0015. But this pattern should be a sign of momentum. And the upward draft ...oh hell, you all know that's a good thing.
Here's a link to my chart and my opinion. Looks like our end-o-day line touches on 4 points.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SGCP&p=D&yr=0&mn=3&dy=0&id=p31168594979&a=117202162
Looks like the annotations were lost, my apologies
Hey, here ya go; a look at the chart as it portrays recent activity:
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SGCP&p=D&yr=0&mn=5&dy=0&id=p90512983374&a=191982056
It's realy negative and that's a fact. So why do I think it'll change? We've secured a bottem. This is without a production report wich is absolutly needed to advance share price. And our bottem is 300% over the lows in October. (.0006) Why? We pay for potential. We, as investors, will pay a premium for future earnings. You want a time line? Don't have it. If i did you'd pay for it and I wouldn't have to work my night job. But I like your idea of getting HAMMERED. Talk to me Mr. Jack Daniels
Thanks for your update, Pro. You are a gentelman. If I were Doug's boss I'd say 'don't mess with my employee'. You'll never be a Teamster but if you can average down you could fake it.
Hey, if no body else is gonna' post I can spend my time better with my friends Jim Beam and Jack Daniels! (Johnny Walker gets an attitude and who knows what he's gonna type)
Thanks for offering this medium for exchange. I get deleated all the time and I don't take it personal. Probably deserve it too. I tend to type the words that are in my head.
I'm learnin' to work with adult supervision.
Oh yea, yesterday there was a lotta geological info presented and I think it's all great stuff. You, TOSCA, Bikeguy, mytvsbroke, thanks to all.

400 mil over a 'few years'
Looks like the Pres. wants to support employment and investment with a European connection. Better than the Chinneee
local news papper:

Mostly northern but we have a stake as Malal Mara district was mentioned not that it would involve SGC.
But we can grow sugar. Bet Doug's thinkin'
Without fundamentals I guess I am a poet but Swampy ain't bad company. The no good, skin tailed, buck-toothed, pointy eared, son of a red eyed ..... not that I were one to judge
Don't ya know that's the drive that inspires investment?!! To risk our hard earned into a dream? Yea, well, we'll make a proffit and that's good but there's no guarantee and there's risk. But if we can see potential and if that potential is realized in some small way, we become a catalist to that end.
We're like a paternity with a golden child: "I'm right 'cause I KNOW you can do it"
And there's Warren Buffit. He can buy Burlington Northern and pay a Ka-billion and make a Ka-zillion and all he can show for it is that he thinks the Rail Roads will earn big because America is great. And he's the greatest invester of our times. He's made his money wearing suspenders and a belt just to make sure his pants were on tight. Greatness is about taking risk. Enjoy the ride.
