You may wait a long time. If the parties reached an agreement outside of court, you may never know the details. Often, if a case like this is dismissed, it means the parties did reach an agreement. In this case, IMO, that means the money was paid or LAWA was satisfied that it would be shortly.
Several large trades (8.3 million total) were observed flashing by and reported by ccboyii on the TA board yesterday. Yet, they did not show up in the daily tally. Perhaps some sort of financing deal came through and was not finalized until yesterday.
I don't either. Sometimes trades post AH. I've not seen these large trades you say were there and then removed, is that right?
I believe that the are a number of authorized shares available for whatever - financing, perhaps?
If successful 2007 CWID trials with an invite back in 2008, upcoming participation in Trident 2008 trials, and a teaming agreement with a successful Isreali defense contractor don't make you feel better (all occurring under new management) - then keep thinking about old pr's under long-gone management and you will fullfill your desires.
I did not see it, but what do you think it could be related to - a financing deal?
Risk, we're still waiting from you and your friends to produce verifiable emails, phone numbers of sources at the U.S. Navy, SPAWAR, CWID, Elbit/Elisra confirming your unfounded claims that successful military trials have not occurred, Trident 2008 trials are not occurring with Sanswire/Globetel participating, and the Elisra teaming agreement is pure fluff. Still waiting - otherwise your "fluff" claims are nothing but pure fluff!
And Bleckman was not the IR director of that company. It has nothing to do with GlobeTel or Bleckman. Sands' rant is full of falsehoods.
Modlam, these guys must sit around all weekend hatching up ways to slime GTEM.
I can just see it: let's dig up an old Sands' blog attacking Globetel, Leinwand & Bleckman, then we'll have a poster over on one GTEM message board cite "Google" as a source (sounds so much more official than an unverified blog rant by Sands). That poster twists Sands' claims even further out of shape and finally we'll have Vern immediately transfer that post over to Ihub, again suggesting it's claims are googled facts rather than an old Sands' blog rant, which came up on a Google search.
Yes, Vern, and that poster's source for that little gem on Google was Micheal Sands, ranting away with no links or credible proof. Plus that post twisted Sands' words even further and failed to include information which disputed Sand's allegations.
Destan, why did you drop the accent but keep the same I.D.? Your reasoning has not improved, nor your predictions. You state:
"GTEM did not meet the capital call made at NMC board meeting in Mexico on Sept. 4th attended by Leinwand and Kostro."
From that statement (were you there at the board meeting? LOL), flow your dire predictions that GTEM's share in NMC will cease to exist. Last I checked, today is Sept. 17th. You somehow forget to state when the capital call you allege was "made" on Sept. 4th is due. Capital calls get made in partherships all the time, but you make no claim about when this alleged call is due. Good try.
I find it interesting that Joe M. besmirches the character of Leinwand, Khoury and others at GTEM, but it is he who has allegedly received the Well's Notice and I know of two GTEM employees who have worked with him and do not like nor trust Joe, he also has a record of past business failure and questionable deals (where did those switches come from anyway?), and since he has been fired, I believe that he has engaged in behavior which I consider beneath anyone who fashions himself as a leader of a company.
Finally, he has strong motives (money and legal liability) to fashion (twist) his particular version of the truth AND that "version" comes from one who is not privy to many facts about the company (Elisra, Trident, funding etc.) and thus, his "version" is not only skewed but missing critical data.
Scnizzle, when you start spreading "rumors" based upon your speculative opinions regarding the meaning of other unverified "rumors", you are really going off on a tangent. You should have stated your musings about a rumor as just that in the first place.
mr_schnizzle, where did you "hear" this rumor? Was it at the Yahoo or Google site started last Fall (risk it us's site?) or Joe M's website, from Vern, or elsewhere? TIA
Vern, you or whomever you get this "information" from (your "source") is adept at making allegations which insinuate something terrible may have happened, but upon closer inspection could mean absolutely nothing, such as the following.
"Also, the deadline for the cash call was September 7th and had not been met."
We know you have stated that there was a cash call due. This is not uncommon in JV's. We also know that your source claimed that it was due September 7th; so far old news. Thus, the first part of your sentence tells us nothing new, but it's the second half which is even more interesting: your source states "and had not been met".
That statement tells us nothing because you make no claims about when the call "had not been met", i.e. had not been met on the 31st of August, not met until the call was made, not made by Sept. 5th, but made on the 6th, etc. There are many dates it might not have been made (yet) and that's meaningless, but if it HAS been made your statement would be technically true, but misleading.
C'mon, Vern, let's see a clear, credible statement like: Sept. 7, 2007 a cash call was due from GlobeTel to the Mexican JV NMC, but has not been received as of today, September 9, 2007, by the JV, and my source at the JV is (fill in the blank), and his phone number/email is (fill in the blank) and I spoke/received the following email from him/her on (fill in the blank).
Also, doctorS just spoke with a NMC JV service representative in the Pachuca NMC office on Friday (in fluent Spanish) and they are signing up customers in Pachuca and Rancho, are expanding into new areas, and there is a website for customers. Others have also contacted this NMC office and reported similar findings. IMO, it looks like the cash call HAS been made.
Note: the phone number and other contact information was provided by those making these claims about the JV, so we can all check them out for ourselves, unlike your typical allegations posted with no credible links/proof/source(s).
Thanks Serious1 and DoctorS. xs_alan was also told by NMC that there are customers in Rancho. So it's 250 plus whatever number of subscribers in Rancho (perhaps xs_alan will find out on Monday - see below). All longs, I highly recommend imawswami's very interesting posts about Sanswire also posted in the last two days. Lots of informative posts since the close on Friday! Thanks to all.

THANK YOU SERIOUS FOR YOUR DD
I HAVE JUST SPEAK WITH SOMEONE IN NMC IN MEXICO.
HE TOLD ME THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS IN SAN CARLOS AND RANCHO.
HE GAVE ME A MAIL ADDRESS TO CONTACT MR. VAZQUEZ THERE.
VOY ESCRIBIRLE EL DIA LUNES.
NICE WEEKEND TO ALL LONGS
"Why the connection with Sanswire's airships and Elisra, or Trident 2008, or a repeat at CWID in 2008?"
Amazing research, imawswami (much thanks), and would explain the above developments. Am reminded of Rob's reply when asked whether Sanswire airship(s) would be participating in the Trident trials and he indicated "what else?" (paraphrased).
Thanks to all three - Serious1, imawswami, and xs_alan for some great DD and taking the time to post on these new developments! Quite the opposite of what so many were predicting we would be discussing on this board tonight.
I look forward to your next posts imawswami and xs_alan.
Thanks, Nilremerlin. Great DD, as usual. I don't think it's farfetched at all that cousins (one who is General Counsel to the company and the other whose firm has represented that company and is familiar with it) would use their contacts (Isreali) to benefit the company, eventually resulting in a teaming agreement. Of note in Jonathan Leinwand's GlobeTel bio:
"As part of his practice, Mr. Leinwand also served as a facilitator of transactions for several US and foreign corporations arranging strategic alliances and funding both in the US and abroad."
This could be about funding vs. a buyout, IMO. Bottom line, Elbit/Elisra is a prestigious defense contractor and knows the unmanned aerial business and they would not be interested in working with (or buying out) Sanswire unless there was something of value there, connections or not.
P.S. I find Mide's comment about Jonathan Leinwand's cordial behavior at the SHM to Mide rather telling. I often judge people I meet by how kind and considerate they are to those from whom they have nothing to gain or who appear to be unequal in status to them.
Good try, Vern, but you have provided a steady stream of evidence to the contrary and it didn't stop "a few months ago" . . .
Mide, I know for a fact that Bleckman will not release any information to individual shareholders that could, in any way, be construed as giving an "edge" or "inside information" and that "effective" and legal communications to all will be via SEC filings and press releases.
Rumors? Why? There have been hundreds of posts here discussing and dismissing many of them. You are claiming (wrongly) that most of the company has been divested or that there is no hope - based on unfounded allegations and rumors posted by those with an agenda. I believe this unprecedented interest has more to do with Oct. 15th and the demise of the grandfather clause.
According to whom is this true?
" . . . little left to hope for since most of the company has been divested and the remainder is in a quandry."
The technology at the heart of the company (Sanswire/HotZone/VOIP) and the reason I and many others invested, has not been divested. And, there must be a heck of a lot to hope for in that technology judging by recent and upcoming military trials, the teaming agreement with Elisra, and the desperate attempts by ex-employees to get their hands on that technology.
Please reread my message again and quit dodging the questions I have posed to you in response to your oft-repeated yet totally unsubtantiated allegations that GlobeTel/Sanswire is not "working" with the U.S. Navy, SPAWAR, etc., precisely as described by the company.
GlobeTel/Sanswire successfully demonstrated at CWID 2007, is invited to participate in the Trident 2008 trials, and has a teaming agreement with Elisra (i.e. is working with them as spelled out in the news release) - these are the things they have claimed, and you have provided NO PROOF to the contrary.
Asking a message board poster to disprove your unproven allegations is ludicrous. This is my last response to you on this subject because I know you will never back up your allegations with credible proof.
Yes, so much unprecedented interest in "nothing" - or does GlobeTel/Sanswire have something? I think I'll pay attention to the likes of Elbit/Elisra, the U.S. Navy/SPAWAR, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff/CWID rather than those you so aptly described.
" . . . along with a heavy work load" - it's my understanding Rob is experienced in financing as well as IR. I look forward to upcoming press releases and SEC filings and will ignore the "libelous statements" on the message boards.
"I think the strat is dead" - based on what evidence and what DD? Links and sources, please.
You know, nightowl, I'm not sure I believe you.
Crazy like a fox, or maybe wise like an owl: you keep going on about the Mexican JV as if that's the only game in town - you think it's a disaster or maybe a disaster, and if it's a disaster, watch out, blah, blah, all the while you admit buying shares . . . why pray tell, if the strat is dead?
Security clearance(s), perhaps? SPD: the teaming agreement is a FACT, the Trident Trials are also a FACT. SkySat is listed as a 2008 Trident "Network Initiative" - also a FACT. Do your own research, SPD. 2007 CWID trials, also a FACT. I'm gone for the day. GLTY.
Ask them, if you're interested. I believe signing a teaming agreement indicates that Elbit/Elisra has some idea of what they (GlobeTel/Sanswire) are doing, not to mention the fact that Elbit is a large Isreali award-winning defense contractor. Contact the U.S. Navy too, while you're at it. Do they just let anyone in on Trident trials?
Owl, with all due respect, I don't think the U.S. Navy, U.S. military, or Elbit/Elisra are interested in the Mexican JV - they are interested in the technology, i.e. Sanswire/HotZone.
Heads up: check your Etrade accounts. I received the following message from a GTEM long. It appears that, even if your GTEM shares are held in a cash account, if you have any type of margin account as well, they will try to borrow your GTEM cash account shares!
"I had the Shares moved to a Cash Account but kept the Margin account opened. When I called just now they said that even though the GTEM shares where switched to a type 2 "Cash" account they could still borrow the shares out as long as the Main Account was on Margin. Bottom line is I had them remove the Margin completely."
We did not discuss that.
Buying has just picked up in last few minutes at .13 cents, according to Alphatrade.
Mide suggests possibly new funding imminent. A distinct possibility.
Well, according to the company (see Investor FAQ's at Investor Relations) it's Sanswire Networks, LLC.
http://investor.globetel.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=67726&p=irol-faq
Q. What is a Stratellite and how can I find more information on it?
A. A Stratellite is a high-altitude airship envisioned to be used in the stratosphere (approximately 65,000 ft.) that provides a stationary platform for transmitting transmitting wireless two-way, high-speed data communications. For more information, please visit the website of our wholly owned subsidiary, Sanswire Networks, LLC, at www.sanswire.com.
Wow, you are reaching. No matter what the website says (where an abbreviated form of company name is perhaps used), there is a legal name for every company, division, or subdivision, and all state and federal forms will contain the correct and complete appellation for that company, division, or subdivision.
I'm not talking about "historical" references to the old company stock ticker or events which occurred under that symbol, and you know it.
You are reaching. When someone posts on a message board that there is no record of a certain company having registered with the State, paid taxes, etc., but the poster uses the wrong company name, such claims are bogus. As Mide says, therein "lies" the answer.
He wasn't commenting on Sanswire Networks, LLC, was he? It's kind of like posting on and on about "GTEL" when there is no GTEL, only GTEM.
Vern, per IR, there is no Sanswire, LLC. Keep trying, Vern.
He's still working. I received an email from him on Tuesday, (September 4, 2007).
