Good stuff!
We got the goods!
A p-value less than 0.05 (typically ≤ 0.05) is statistically significant. It indicates strong evidence against the null hypothesis, as there is less than a 5% probability the null is correct (and the results are random).
Statistically significant improvements in CDR system Cognitive Domain of Attention assessed by Choice Reaction Time (p = 0.039) and Digital Vigilance (p = 0.008)

In the United States...
We estimated a total of 1.04 million individuals with diagnosed PD in the U.S. in 2017 with an associated $51.9 billion in total economic costs. We estimated direct medical costs of $25.4 billion and indirect and non-medical costs of $26.5 billion.Jul 9, 2020
According to recent estimates from the Alzheimer's Association, the total direct medical expenditures associated with ADRD in the United States will increase from $236 billion in 2016 to more than $1 trillion in 2050 due to projected increases in the elderly population [2].Apr 1, 2018
We found an estimated half million increase in MS admissions, annually, which was projected to exceed 43.5 million by the end of year 2017. We also found the charge and the costs associated with MS care increased at rates of US$ 40 million a year and US$ 8 million a year, respectively.Jul 1, 2017

Anavex 2-73 is an oral small molecule designed to activate the protein sigma-1 receptor (S1R), which is involved in proper protein folding. By reducing the toxic accumulation of misfolded proteins in nerve cells, Anavex 2-73 is believed to reduce inflammation and cellular stressors in the brain.
The potential is staggering and positive. (And 3-71 is only getting started.)
First trade...

Added a lot up through the 0.50 level.
Continued to add over the years.
The small molecules 2-73 and 3-71 will succeed.

Just got the Flucelvax shot yesterday...
First time ever having erythema from a vaccine.
Looking forward to NanoFlu! Make it happen Novavax!
“There has not been a mechanistically novel medication approved for PDD in over 20 years.”
Congrats to the Anavex Life Sciences team, patients, and caregivers!
<3
Novavax will be the best.
Disruptive technology at its finest and one hell of a pipeline too.
NanoFlu is next, then a refined ResVax.
Mighty fine team assembled.
(And J&J has halted their P3: https://www.businessinsider.com/johnson-and-johnson-coronavirus-vaccine-trial-paused-2020-10 )
Brilacidin is still the uncut diamond awaiting its moment to sparkle in the sun.
Until that time, here’s The Pusher:
Nostalgia...
Was just thinking back to when a press release announcing that Novavax was considered one of the best places to work in the DelMarVa area. ??
And here we are now. Way to go Novavax!
Paper presented last year...
https://library.ehaweb.org/eha/2019/24th/267712/roberta.napolitano.kevetrin.dampens.myc.expression.and.cellular.metabolism.in.html
“ Conclusion
Our results show kevetrin alters several key genes and cellular metabolism. Along with cellular data, this study could provide a rationale for an experimental trial in AML patients, especially those carrying TP53 mutation who actually have very few therapeutic options.”
Well then...that was a bit of a surprise.
https://www.spandidos-publications.com/10.3892/or.2020.7730
Was thinking Kevetrin had been placed waaaaaay back on a distant back burner.
Nice.
NYT Article...
“The intelligence wars over vaccine research have intensified as China and Russia expand their efforts to steal American work at both research institutes and companies.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/05/us/politics/coronavirus-vaccine-espionage.html
Given the value of intellectual propertit’s associated with any companies doing either vaccine or therapeutics research, information security matters are likely one of the top concerns.
Hopefully nobody is spilling the beans.
Take heart...
Brilacidin, being a defensin mimetic, is not a one trick pony. It could be described as a ‘genius pony’. It has outstanding initial data sets and safety profile. Those aren’t going away.

Yeah...we’re all anxiously awaiting the RBL and FDA statements for further fact finding. It’s coming. And Brilacidin’s chance to bask in the spotlight is still possible.
Oh Canadaaaaaaa...

The good news will continue.
MDS Virtual Congress 2020
Daniel Weintraub seems to have involvement in a number of sessions. There are plentiful discussions on many of our ongoing speculations such as nutrition, gut composition, etc.

Will Anavex be entering Late-Breaking Abstracts for trials w/ Blarcamesine?
Could Rett Syndrome findings also be presented given the forum’s focus on movement disorders?
“Rhett Syndrome (RS) is one of the best human models to study movement disorders. Patients evolve from a hyperkinetic to a hypokinetic state, and a large series of abnormal movements may be observed along their lives such as stereotypies, tremor, chorea, myoclonus, ataxia, dystonia, and rigidity.“
from: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18512755/
So given our past timeline and present predictions of results being disclosed “mid-year”, maybe we’re in for more than one release of results regarding treatments with 2-73 / Blarcamesine.
Possibility for some reveals.
Calculating the Average Selectivity Index (SI)
The selectivity index (SI) is a ratio that measures the window between cytotoxicity and antiviral activity by dividing the given AVA value into the TOX value (AVA/TOX). The higher the SI ratio, the theoretically more effective and safe a drug would be during in vivo treatment for a given viral infection.
The ideal drug would be cytotoxic only at very high concentrations and have antiviral activity at very low concentrations, thus yielding a high SI value (high AVA/low TOX) and thereby able to eliminate the target virus at concentrations well below its cytotoxic concentration.
The selectivity index of a compound is a widely accepted parameter used to express a compound’s in vitro efficacy in the inhibition of virus replication.
It will not be confined to coronavirus treatment.
It has broad spectrum capabilities.
Let THAT sink in and enjoy how many infections will be treated with Brilacidin in the future.
It’s not “fluff” when the SI is 300!
“For a point of reference, a SI greater than 100 is considered exceptional.”
Correction graciously accepted!
Agreements with the UK, Japan, India, South Korea...
‘Putnik’ Russian vaccine collaboration? Maybe Pyongyang?
Novavax: The Global Nanoparticle Vaccine Leader!
Shareholders know what they own.
And there’s no way ‘Polonium-V‘ compares to NVX-CoV2373 or any other vaccine that has gone through proper procedures.
So Russia is now playing their propaganda card not only to fake out the world, but also undercut both the scientific and stock market communities. All the more reason for their condemnation, more sanctions, and putting them in the hole with North Korea.
NeuEnergy®? product impressions...
So I ordered a box of the NeuEnergy tablets to try out for a couple weeks.
https://getneuenergy.com/
My normal morning go-to is either coffee with soy milk or espresso and mix it with some Bolthouse Farms Chocolate Protein Plus, usually in equal portions. So my typical intake of caffeine is on the higher side.
Received the shipment via Canadian Post here in the U.S. and everything packaging-wise was intact without damage to the product. Display box containing 6 tubes of 6 tablets each.
The plastic tubes themselves seem like they could survive being thrown from a vehicle. Very stout...and maybe overkill? They do a fine job of keeping the tablets intact and are probably well suited to being in pockets, pouches, purses, and packs without sustaining damage.
The tablets themselves aren’t huge. Approximately 2 nickels thick with corresponding diameter. By appearance, they’re not dazzling, but fairly nondescript and chalky-looking.
As for flavor and feel, here’s the interesting part: If you’ve grown up here in the States, you’re probably familiar with Smarties. According to Wikipedia, “The candies distributed in Canada are marketed as Rockets.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smarties_(tablet_candy)
Very similar in taste, texture, and mouth feel. Not quite as sweet in terms of sugary quality, there’s a more notable berry fruit sensation once the tablets have crumbled and mixed with saliva. Personally, pleasant enough that I didn’t start gagging. Glad it’s blueberry-based, because for whatever reason, I’m not a raspberry fan.
I’m a creature of habit when it come to eating and usually have something to drink after eating solids. In the case of the tablets, I chased them with water the first day, and on most of the other days had a 50/50 mix of orange juice and carrot juice before commencing with biking, walking, or running.
Taken on their own, they might leave a berry-tasting sensation on the palate until your saliva eventually clears it, or until having something to drink. They could potentially stimulate a salivary response during activity, so maybe that’s the marketing angle about using the product while at work, play, or during physical activity.
Performance-wise, since I wasn’t loaded down with a massive intake (.5 to 1 liter) of fluid, I was not as “sloshy” in the guts. There is a stimulant content with NeuEnergy, but it’s not as high as my usual intakes’ dosages, so there wasn’t a “kick”, but everything else seemed fine whether on the bike, track, or road.
Typical loosening of the bowels (caffeine’s vasodilation and diuretic effects usually stimulate my gastrointestinal tract to pop off with a morning poop in relatively short order) came a little later than with the coffee or espresso intakes. So the post-exercise defecation aligned well with showering and feeling all fired up for the rest of the day.
I’d put the “sustained” time period at 4-6 hours. At that point, personally, the body is well into the work day and chugging right along. I didn’t try any secondary or tertiary intakes, nor did I vary the initial amount ingested from two tablets. That is in keeping with my typical routine of having caffeine in the morning, but not throughout the day, so it may be up to others to share their particular experiences on extended usages.
Overall, I’m pretty pleased with the NE tablets. They’re not readily available in my geographic location at present (midwest) and the shipping and handling make them pricier for me than the elixir of the good ol’ roasted arabica fruit, but I could definitely see myself using these for extended hiking trips through the backcountry when lugging extra fuel, grounds, etc, might be prohibitive.
Glad to be a shareholder and to see the extended contract with Japan go through. Looking like a positive future ahead.
GOOD MORNING AUSTRALIA!!!
Hope you all enjoy the fantastic news and have an excellent day.
Outstanding.
Thank you to the Aussies! Getting it done Down Under.
Thank you Gregory Glenn!

Brilacidin isn’t just for coronavirus.
With the profile it is showing, it has myriad applications.
Polymedix, Cellceutix/IPIX, the RBLs...have only scratched the surface on this next generation of therapeutics.

Wonder if there could be maternal transfer/ in utero testing?
Key thing would be administration as early as possible to affect glutamine/glutamate levels yeah?
Another thing that has been comforting...
https://cos.gmu.edu/ncbid/people/aarthi-narayanan/#.XyRL1C01ihA
Dr. Narayanan is a very capable researcher and her own curiosity in testing Brilacidin with the coronavirus might also cause her to want to test it against her previous foci (bunyaviruses, alphaviruses, and human retroviruses).
That level of professional interest coupled with peer review and multi-site testing is going to bring Brilacidin out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
4 properties apparent...
Anti fungal
Anti inflammatory
Anti bacterial
Anti viral
