No worries. Glad to see you are still lurking. Tons of noise lately.
UOIP
nvm i am just having trouble getting to the unified patents page like i did before
Very Interesting Thing I am Seeing on Unified Patents
https://portal.unifiedpatents.com/ptab/caselist?sort=-filing_date
Im seeing new IPR for a laundry list of companies
ICE! Where you at brother? I wanna know your input
I see familiar names...RPX INTEL etc
Could potentially go to trial...which would be next year spring, but keep in mind most of these plays dont go to trial because of time, energy, and $
plus they risk losing more to a jury of cable customers who have been ripped for years
Well on what? On Arris IPR? Decision soon possibly this week..but as for a settlement? Over the next few months.
Saw that as well and was delighted. Wondering if that was yste here?
Yea we pretty much do. Everyone is on the ball
I have not even really looked into the appeal of Cisco IPR. I know its happening but haven't looked into it much further
its just pending arris
Even if the stay is granted > it is a stay "pending resolution of Arris IPR" so when that gets denied we are immediately back on. I personally think we will see denial this week or early next week on both
Whatever. Go big or go home. Keep in mind our previous wins against RPX and Cisco are HUGE. Also keep in mind many plays like this dont go to trial. Also keep in mind many lean in favor of patent owner. People hung up on schedule need not worry
I do get a little lost myself going back and forth here with everything.
Arris response yesterday is actually one to additional discovery.
Hard to say:
I suppose it depends on what your opinion of Arris IPR. You have Chanbond / UOIP with an excellent response to them on why it should NOT be instituted, citing multiple precedents etc. VERY THOROUGH. Then you have Arris basically saying that they werent in privity w defendants but when I read both sides...I know where I stand.
So for longs here its just playing it by ear considering most were in early and essentially have placed their bets. Then you have people who have come in more recently ( thanks to big followings from people like AJ and even briefly SportyNorty ) who are potentially on sideline still because there is heavy DD required to understand this play. You also have a lot of short shares out there need covered. In ideal world we would have some sort of a run this week with some buys coming in and shorts covering. Follow this with the denial for IPR and we are golden. Thats not to say its the end all be all. Dont want people to get caught up in that. Like last year when the joint status meeting was overhyped and when a magical settlement didnt appear we plunged. We have cited other cases where parties have lost at PTAB on certain points and still reached large settlement. The denial for the IPR isnt going to be a settlement. Its opening the direct route to a settlement way faster.
Is there an echo? Jk but at least youve got the scheduling order in there
I encourage everyone to just re read chanbonds response to the IPR (Just look at sticky from mama) and why it should be denied. Just reading how thorough our lawyers demonstrate privity with the delaware defendants compared to Arris denying it..
Sorry, got trigger happy. Many updates from all the patents. Looks like the same weak @$$ response by Arris lawyers ob all fronts. When I read our prelim response compared to theirs...im thinking we got this!
Not seeing much different except maybe the last exhibit of the scheduling order being added? Not sure
This is under the 679 patent
PP > Billy Carter > Maybe you should research
A vague blog to say the least...very misleading.
Arris Denial
Stay Denial
Settlement Talks
Never Makes It To Trial
This will not go til 2020...
Nope Sealed
We gotta stop feeding into it. Im guilty of it. I know what I own at the end of the day. Every issue has been talked about in this forum at some point. Trust your own DD. Too many links available.
Lol. So I should buy more?
So when Arris IPR gets denied ...are we going to reach out to all the writers to get another article done? Something like "PTAB NIXES 5 ARRIS IPR PETITIONS"
Correct, I'm not sure if it will be denied prior to June 13 or if we get a combo on that date of Denial of IPR and Stay
Oh Indeed
Given the health condition of Mr. Howe, I am pretty sure that conversation didn't actually take place...
The line that talks about their chart of information being requested being color coded was funny
The exhibits are interesting looks like alot of the recent ones are emails back and forth that show what you described.
