you are right, Tabbysan, God rest his soul.... the past is past, and a new day is dawning, with more love in it, and more healing from the cannabis plant...
one of cannabis's staunchest opponents in the USA, Sheldon G. Adelson, has passed away...

Agree, Dorothy. USA legalises med & adult rec in '21-'22.
Europe (especially the big countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland) follows, and legalise cannabis in '22.
Mexico + other Latin American countries legalise in '21-'22....
We are looking at one billion people being allowed to partake in legal cannabis in the next couple or so years....
what does this mean for shareholders... ? I have 10 shares left... I had several thousand but sold out a few years back, with a handsome profit... then I read about this gaining pearshape... have the shareholders been wiped out here...?
Awww... death and taxes... is it possible to avoid both of them...?
Kaboom...
I agree with your price forecast.... and it could be higher.... because we will become a major US company with sequencing blue sky horizons with the Dems federal legalisation pathways and the roll out of new canna products, especially beverages...
hahaha.... sport on... I'll buy a score of them...
rock and roll twister...
Looks like a flipped Senate.... now Mitch McConnell's days are numbered... he has been the main road block for federal cannabis reform. He has blocked the MORE Act and the SAFE Banking Act, now with a Dems controlled Senate the cannabis legalisation movement will be spurred forward ..... As I've said all along I believe the USA will legalise in '21... Europe will follow America (especially as they need tax money for the covid crisis)... Is there going to be a major canna run....?
Thanks for this, GoSing.
The article is correct in that "federal cannabis reform is unlikely to occur under a GOP-held Senate led by Mitch McConnell." and the MORE Act and
SAFE Banking Act would not get to a vote because of veteran McConnell, however, his days are numbered, a fresh wind blows through the cannabis legalisation movement, and I still believe that the USA will legalise in '21... Europe will follow, and also the rest of the progressive countries in the world... Aphria shareholders are onto a global winner...
The latest, GoSing, is Rev. Raphael Warnock has won and Jon Ossoff has now taken a slight lead over David Perdue, with 97 percent of the estimated votes counted. So very much looking like a flipped Senate.... and a canna run...
I think you are correct, Mogollon.... right now the New York Times needle is indicating that both Warnock and Ossoff are headed towards victory in the Georgia run-offs, meaning that the Democrats are poised to flip the Senate, with KHarris's casting vote as vice-president in two weeks time. So, does anyone else believe that Aphria (and other LPs + MSOs) are on an historic run...?
The infamous New York Times needle is currently indicating that both Warnock and Ossoff are headed toward victory in the Georgia run-offs, meaning that the Democrats are poised to flip the Senate, with KHarris's casting vote as vice-president in two weeks time. So, Waltd, do you think Canopy is going to run today...?
This could be tight. Mr Trump has given his most enthusiastic support to date to the two Repub candidates, and from what I read there are brisk turnouts in Georgia, along with the 3 million votes already in... whether people are left or right or centre the world is watching this one... me, I admit I am selfish in that I want the Dems to win so that KHarris will push JBiden to not decriminalise (allowing the black market to keep running the show) but to fully legalise, and I believe this will happen this year or next... I think we Canopy, LP and MSO investors are on a run....
Not just Americans, but the world is nail-biting watching the Georgia elections today...
This (imho) is a vital election for canna investors, especially Canopy (and other major LPs)...
We all know that a major roadblock for the legalisation of cannabis in the USA has been veteran Senator Mitch McConnell....
To me (an outsider) he seems to have an exorbitant amount of power for a single US citizen, and we all know that he dislikes cannabis....
If Dems lose one or both Georgia runs-off races, the US will enter at least a two-year period of divided government, with the Republican Senate majority leader, Mr McConnell, retaining power and likely frustrating Biden’s agenda, including progressive cannabis laws, which 68% of Americans support legalisation, and that will have an adverse effect on LPs' share prices.
But if the Dems win then (imo) Canopy shareholders could be looking at 20% gains, or more, who knows....
However, it could be a long week.... There could be a run here for this week... as counting will go on, for the military and overseas ballots will arrive as late as Friday, and then they have to be counted. That means results could take days... maybe we don't have a result until Friday or Saturday....
The latest polls have the Dems ahead by about 2%, however, that is inside margin of error so too close to call, and well, who can believe the polls after the dismal performances in failing to predict Trump's vote tallies in both his presidential runs... and last November's election in Georgia was extremely close, with Biden’s victory in the state not projected by television networks until 10 days post-election. So, for canna investors, this could be an on the edge-of-your-seat election...

Happy new year, Hunch... and happiness to all fellow canna investors & traders.... yep: fun in '21...
Hopes you OKAY, Dbrown13... me not drinking as much in 2020 as I 24-7 busy constructing a self-sustaining biodiverse off-grid Shangri La in a beautiful rural isolated picture-postcard paradise, with ainimal-bird-bee friendly lands rolling gently down to a misty mystical lake and its holy islands... this magic construction and land purchases made from the profits accumulated in the first canna run, thank you Canopy et al... However, there will be great fun in '21 for canna investors, especially if the Dems take the Senate from next week's Georgia election, meaning legal canna adult rec on the cards for the US, and Mexico legalising too, so we may soonish see a canna free trade agreement between Canada, US and Mexico.... (urging Europe to get in on the act to pay for overload public spending on virus relief).... meaning: canny canna investors will make wee fortunes.... Good fortune to ye all...
"Looking for .30-.50 cents..." that would be very nice, Nonameface13, and I am hoping we are all going to get that...
APHRIA ALERT: Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C. Investigates Sale of APHA and Encourages Investors to Contact the Firm

a the present share prices I end up losing $35k....
if am a to vote I will vote against this deal....
thanks Gauge1. I agree with you that if Republicans win Georgia then bye-bye canna legalisation in the USA, going against the will of two thirds of Americans who want adult rec legalised.
However, I have the feeling that the Dems will win the two Senate seats in the Jan 5 elections.
Why..?
because Trump's tantrums will destroy all about him unless he gets what he wants... I see today's Daily Mail (which Trump quotes) revealing internal warship in the Republican camp:
MAGA turns on Mitch: Trump says 'people are angry' after allies including Michael Flynn slammed the GOP Senate majority leader for 'caving to the mob and China' by recognizing Biden as president-elect
Trump loyalists were furious after McConnell congratulated Biden on Tuesday
Top allies accused Senate majority leader of selling out the party's leader
MAGA die-hards called McConnell a 'RINO' (Republican in name only) and even a secret Chinese agent
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9057747/MAGA-turns-Mitch-Trumps-allies-slam-Republican-Senate-majority-leader.html
And we have already seen Trump attack respected Republican leaders in Georgia.
He is not fond of the traditional conservative honest responsible Republicans... the sort of people I love having a drink with, and also a toke...
I think the Senate turns into Dem power with KH's casting vote to legalise canna, and go with the will of the US citizens .... and this means we APHA.TO investors will be chasing one hundred CAD dollars a share in '21/'22.
The Trumpsters are out now to lynch Mitch, whom they now call a traitor... his days look numbered whoever wins the Senate... he has been the single biggest blockage to canna emancipation since the reefer madness.... an unstable Trump could even turn on the traditional conservative responsible Republicans to squeeze them out of their own party... wasn't it Lenin or Trotsky that lectured about taking over establishments by using the entry tactic... this is historical politics repeating itself, but not in the USSR but in today's USA... unbelievable, who could have written this mad script... for us canna investors this form of gimpy politics suits us in that legalisation is on the way in the USA thanks to Kamala Harris et al ... this beats watching Netflix .... truly a one hundred dollar share is on the way here...
Georgia flips.
These guys setting up the biggest canna company in the world probably reckon Georgia flips as the Republicans are in civil war in that State, and the Dems are getting their vote out.... with the Senate in Dems control then full adult legalisation becomes reality in the USA in 2021, latest '22.... and our new company is trading up closing on one hundred dollars a share.... happy new year boys and girls...
congratulations, Mx1001... you are a clever investor.... thanks for sharing with the rest of us.... good luck to all Aphria fans...
you will enjoy the ride, Daleb2130..... forget the party politics, and enjoy your personal profit... all people, traders or longs, will enjoy fat profits from exponential growth in this international canna sector over the next couple or three years... Only good fortune to every one of ye...
"to open $9.20 or higher "
Thanks Mt69sinai....
What a lovely morning to wake up into...
Been so busy lately finishing building a wee 'Camelot' overlooking a magic lake (from my massive canopy profits) that I haven't had time to check the markets since the US elections...
This Tilray move is a surprise surprise... hope it doesn't turn into a shock for Aphria shareholders...
I was expecting consolidations in this industry, and much M&A activity, as USA prepares to fully legalise adult rec (probably late '21 or '22)..
but Tilray, well this is a surprise surprise...
Still, I am so glad I held long here...
Like Twister most of my 200k + shares in Aphria will be going to my children and grandchildren, while I am enjoying this wild canna ride... I have no doubt Aphria one day will be a one hundred dollar share...
up again this Monday morning in Australia:
Research shows that cannabinoids will play a major role in the future of oral care, and Zelira was the perfect partner.

The vote was a “big step forward,” recognizing the positive impact of cannabis on patients, said Dirk Heitepriem, a vice president at Canopy Growth, a Canadian cannabis company. “We hope this will empower more countries to create frameworks which allow patients in need to get access to treatment.”
