COOP is the Tell!
This has been the pattern. By tomorrow people would have looked at the earnings and it will start going up.
What do you think? People at COOP have never heard of escrows.
Yes. Although the volume is very low.
They were always activated. But they had an expiration date. Now they have been converted to DTA that doesn't expire. What commitment? If you needed commitment you should have asked for it when WMIH merged with Nationstar.
The NOLs that COOP got from the merger have already been converted into non-expiring DTA, there is no unlocking needed. COOP doesn't owe anything to escrow holders.
Good point. He owns a lot of shares.
He is selling a total of 100K shares which are 10% of his holdings. So when he sells 10K it is 1% only.
There is nothing more pathetic than year after year (not just day after day) hoping that somehow magically at the end of the year escrow holders will get paid over par as the first installment. If there is so much coming back, why haven’t we seen a single cent so far.
So basically you cannot understand why the CEO is not engaging in inside trading.
What assets are you talking about. Assets belong to the investors in MBSs, not escrow holders or COOP. COOP doesn’t owe escrow holders a cent.
You are right and in earning calls COOP always talks about originations part of their activity.
Of course he traded COOP. He is always saying that everyone had the same opportunity to add and benefit from COOP. He being so smart added and gained a million.
I believe that all this talk about AZ seeing the NDA, not signing but saying he would honor it, and then making million dollars by not honoring it, is all hogwash. AZ likes to say things to impress people on the board.
There are only 76 million COOP shares.
I agree with you. JWW’s post are the most useful if you are interested in COOP. Unfortunately most of the posts are about escrows and, even though I own Ps Ks and Qs and would happy to be done thing for them, I believe those posts have nothing to do with COOP.
Most of the shares are held by institutions and in large numbers. I doubt they will just dump their shares. People who recently bought COOP and have no knowledge will dump but they likely own a small percentage of shares. I don’t believe that any new event will occur, but if it does and share price falls significantly, I will buy more.
Are you saying AZ did not know that there were pending legal issues?
Yes it was and AZ was saying the same thing last year but we got nothing.
The answer is NEVER. And you don’t need to pay me million dollars for the answer.
COOP management has been posting great results one quarter after another and finally the pps has risen to respectable amount. If you think now they will print shares and distribute them to legacy WMIH holders for free, you must be smoking something.
10,000 shares of U = 0 shares of COOP
You are 100% correct. COOP did a buy back from KKR, it is documented and new share count is reflected in the current market cap. Nothing happened to the share structure.
There are no shares waiting to hit the market.
Two more weeks till earnings call. I hope it reaches $45 by then.
Lot of IFing going on here. Just because something hasn't been disclosed does not mean that it involves hidden money that belongs to escrow holders.
I don't believe COOP owes escrow holders a single penny. If escrow holders have assets coming back that they want to sell to COOP at fire sale prices, COOP will pay out whatever the deal requires.
COOP bought back stock from KKR , if you believe stock buy backs are a good thing then this was great because of the sheer number of shares that were bought back. Paying escrow holders is obviously bad for COOP because COOP doesn’t owe anything to them. It would be an illegal act and cause COOP pps to collapse.
Of all the theories posted here over the years, this is the most absurd one.
With all the market volatility reaching $73 doesn’t seem likely. It is good enough though that COOP is not crashing like other stocks.
I bought some at $5.30. GO COOP! GO COOP!
I didn't read any documents, just saw the PPS crash.
Moreover if a windfall is coming why did KKR cash in? Ask yourself, how could KKR not know about the windfall?
AZ keeps telling his followers that opportunity was there for everyone to buy in, GO COOP, GO COOP. Well he is saying nothing is coming to you if you listened to his prior conclusions over 12 years. His deep study of documents was deeply flawed.
You are waiting for COOP to move forward? AZ says COOP is the Tell. COOP is done telling, it has already moved from $5 to $40. It may continue to rise to JWWs predicted value of $73. But to benefit from it you need to own COOP. There won’t be any free shares.
According to your statement any CEO who is doing his/her job well and decides to sell his shares is doing something wrong. In any case with all the billions to be distributed to escrow holders why worry about someone making a bit of money.
In Escrowland there is a firm belief that everything from anything that JPM owns to anything COOP owns belongs to escrow holders. No matter they have nothing to do with the success of COOP, if the CEO who has everything to do with COOP’s success sells shares they believe something is being stolen from them.
Thanks for your response.
Isn’t that crazy. The price stays up all day and is brought back down at the end of the day.
No volume today. It is very strange.
Analysts are just guessing too, you cannot take them seriously. Tesla estimates range from $67 to $1591.
You are right, something is going on with COOP. They are in rush to do a bunch of things to get ready for something big. I hope we hear about it soon or at least by end of this year.
Since when dies paying taxes a calamity comparable to house burning down. Capital gains tax should be higher than tax on income earned via hard work.
CEO doesn’t have to sell any shares on Thursday.
Thank you for posting some real information. Market cap is down to $3B. I thought the share count was to be updated on September 30? COOP needs to hire better help for filling out forms.
