Thanks TV..so Dell is making a full court press with their little secure latitudes! One would think big Pharma would be quite interested in being able to secure their information as well..
The lack of volume is what I don't get...if something was about to happen..there would be much more volume..
Hopefully after the market gets thru options expirations..Tuesday will be a little more constructive..
With NEC and the other overseas agreements and sales from Domestic oem ..WAve is quite the international play..could we do more business overseas than domestically in your opinion..This is where the strongest companies seem to be making hay..!GE etc
The earnings and forecast are not bad...they are great considering the economic environment and sentiment...Even if the computer sales stagnate..Dell and Seagate will do very well..and Wave even better ....Wish they would post and early quarterly report and give us some new oem and large contract to digest..good luck,,
exactly
Seagate earnings and CC...I didn't get to listen to CC, but earnings for qtr were good..and look what the market is doing to the sp...OH for some dry poweder...anyone listen to CC and hear anything that would warrant a sell off..tia
Are the markets closed Monday....
Ispro, Doma, all..Doesn't the mere fact that Dell has upgraded their product offering from Wave and made it factory installed and are paying more $$ for it..mean that they are selling the new Worlds Most Secure Notebook..concept and product extremely well..and that they in a tough market they can still afford to add $$ and utility to the product due to customer demand...Sounds like quite a win for Dell/Wave/SEagate..and trusted computing..
And wouldn't many upgrades follow..
Thanks Weby...I assume this is thru DEC and if Dell's numbers are up then Wavx numbers and cash flow is better than we might have thought..also Dell's qtr doesn't end until the end of Jan..
This could be a nice surprise and we need all the momentum we can get going into what is projected to be at best a flat year..
Doma..I asked if all Dell TPM machines now have ETS Enterprise vers 3.0? and got the same response as last time ,"That's the part that I'm not sure about. As I said, I know that the factory image has the full ETS Enterprise in it which includes TDM and when tyhe system includes FDE drive the entire enterprise edition is there. What the exact ETS situation is for systems which have just the TPM, I'm not sure.
Thanks..I think it is also..
Has anyone here wondered why an 8k for the Dell extension? Couldn' t this have been done with a regular pr..No announcement from Dell so obviously Wave wanted to make this public not Dell...is its significance substantial enough to determine and 8k was necessary..any help here with parameters that warrant and 8k versus a normal announcement.?
I am not sure, but I think he meant if the customer orders FDE that the software automatically picks it up...I just posted the response as I received it..seems all is factory install now !
From Lark per Dell...
’m not up on all the details of how the logistics work at Dell. With the new factory integration of ETS which was finished in December, I believe that ever Latitude has the full ETS Enterprise package installed in the factory image, including TDM. If the user orders TDM it automatically detects the FDE drive and becomes active, otherwise it is there but not used. For the FDE option I know that the user gets full ETS Enterprise and TDM and does not require any client upgrades, only needs to order the optional ERAS seats. But I’m not sure exactly what ETS version the user gets with Latitudes without the FDE drives, but it is still a pretty robust version, I’m sure. Could be ETS enterprise?
I think Dell ships over half of its volume to enterprise and govt
so say they ship 35 million units annually,,so thats 21 million
business units and half are laptops or mobile..10.5 million or 2.6 million per qtr..times ____ per unit..add in a few upgrades and send in a new guestimate on Snacks survey...
isn't Wave already in these systems..whether fde or not..The new Dell deal includes TDM in it?
Is $1.80 providing some resistance..?
share price has to go to $20
It seems like Wavx is trading exactly like yesterday, except in a different market(overall market down today and up yesterday)..and a few more shares...Is there any significance to this?
OT here is shy Widepoint is up...identity mgt, etc and now wireless with their new addition Isys
http://money.aol.com/news/articles/_a/widepoint-company-isys-awarded-idiq/n20080115090809990050
Interesting...have it on but only listening and half heartedly..will have to check it out..thanks
Wasn't the seven dollars from Seagate? or only came into play
with the seagate drives and TDM? If this is included now on all
Dell business pc's or business laptops..a drop in price is warranted by the volume...isn't it? but we don't know the price so part of this conversation is ..........unknown today.
By George Doma I believe I've got it...
Thats why Dell is advertising the product...
AND what per centage of Dell's enterprise customers will upgrade?
This is not a well known company and when it moves like this there is someone playing that knows something..their purchase of iSYS is interesting and may have some value here..hopefully their connection with Wave is what is moving the stock?
You know that if this is for tax reasons that implies the volume of the Wave relationship is worthy of such a move...now that validates our holdings. but not the current sp!!!!
Maybe we will catch up in the second half...?
OT Widepoint up over 12% on half a million shares..moving strong
maybe Wavxmaster can enlighten us!
It seems they transferred the deal to Dell Singapore..can you enlighten us at to the significance of the transfer..I have emailed Wave to see if they have anything they can say about this part of the 8k..tia
relax..I'm more concerned with understanding why the oem has not made the announcement..why would Fujitsu wait ( if it is them)..
and we finally got the NEC announcement..why did they wait?
Is the Dell/ Seagate advertising pushing the other OEMs..obviously if one is Hitachi..the ads have not made them move...but with their manuevering with their hard drive division I can see what the delay there might be..!!!
So would that be $7 times what 800,000 per month of Dell business laptops?
Aren't we still waiting on atleast one new OEM...and can anyone explain why Fujistsu would not have announced their new product and relationships as posted earlier with the full disc encryption and Wave software...?tia
Can anyone explain the move to Singapore please..thanks..
Wonder what a little more for value added adds up to?
Another reason the Seagate ads at GCN is interesting is that I don't know if Seagate has any or much direct govt/military business and this shows they are serious about it..
now are using fde.2 as a distinguishing product to address both consumer and govt markets...Seeing that they are spending advertising and marketing money on the same..
Couple that with helfuls post about Seagate and their excitement and activity with fdee.2...
That should have some nice dist..thanks Wavedoc
Maybe OT..NEC develops new operating system and microcomputer for Auto industry...and they have some interesting work with NTT DATA
http://www.neceurope.com/news_and_events/news_archive_2007/11_december_2007.html
Could this be why there have been no announcements from Hitachi or Fujitsu? the sands they are a movin...
