The international bank deal?
Is this the $5,000,000to $7 million Bank deal that we been hearing about for the last nine months? If that's what we're really talking about then I have to ask the question why is it not having any significant effect on our stock price. A bank deal of this magnitude should translate into a very significant uptick in our share price and it hasn't. The question I have to ask is why?
if I actually believe this had some significance, I would've purchased another million shares myself. Remember, I'm the guy that thinks that this company is worth $.45-$.50 a share bankrupt.
Why all the selling? Why are we not getting any significant buying and price appreciation today?
I have a question for you Wheaton, what part of you believes that some of us bitching on this message board have not had conversations with board members?
I for one I've had multiple phone conversations with board members but that doesn't change my opinion as to how poorly this company is being managed. The real problem here is that nobody believes management any longer. The announcement this morning should've sent this stock up by 50% at least and all we can manage to get is a penny if that.
Today's announcement was more of a selling opportunity than A reason to buy this stock. That's pretty sad. It tells me that nobody believes anything that this company puts out in print anymore. These announcements are basically meaningless. Where is the revenue? where is the projection of revenue?where's the hint that this has any value whatsoever?
Let me put this in perspective for you. I've decided that my next car is going to be a Ferrari. But that doesn't mean I'm out buying one or the dealer down the street from me is going to get an order anytime soon.
Sorry,Been here way too long to fall for these press releases anymore.
Let me be perfectly clear on my opinion in the value of this company.
I am not seller of this stock and neither are any of the other shareholders that I have got involved in this company.
I believe the stock is worth three times the value that is trading at today. I've made the case in the past that I believe the tax loss carry forwards has significant value and the intellectual property has a value also. I think the stock should be trading at a bankruptcy value of at least $.40-$.45. per share.
I would not be selling the stock at this price.
I think it's time to clean house. I believe the market is clearly telling us that there is nothing significant the way of orders with this company at this time. The so-called big bank job is in all likelihood nothing but a pipe dream. No pun intended there but if you look at the discount of 30 million down to $25 million in the so-called pipeline, I would probably guess that the 5 million Dollar Bank job is history.
This company has 20 employees with $4 million in sales at this time. Unfortunately, half of that, if not a little more is probably nothing more than residual maintenance on old contract. There appears to be no significant new business and I hardly see a reason to have 20 employees chasing after a couple of million dollars in business. That translates to $100-$200,000 in business per employee. Too many high paid vice presidents producing an insignificant amount of business. I think it's time to trim the headcount until this company can see a profitable stream of revenue on the horizon.
There is something seriously wrong here when a company that is in a field such as biometrics, a hot industry in today's economy that can't muster enough business to sustain itself. What's even more concerning is that investors do not believe in the future of this company. You have to wonder where all the selling is coming from and at this point I believe it is our new institutional investors that are dumping the stock and plan to ride their free warrants. The next step will be more dilution and then a reset of those warrant prices. All very very troubling.
A long time, average investor is all done. It's just a matter of time before this company is taken over by the sharks on Wall Street and our investment dollars become nothing more than vapor.
BoD, please sell the company.
B1, of course it's investors fault, were much too impatient. We need to lower our expectations to something a little more realistic.
And it should go without saying now, if management didn't want to own their own stock shame on us for thinking it was a worthy investment on our part.
Sorry trader, but I can't reply directly to you because I'm not a premium member. My only advice to you is to be careful, you may be following me right off the cliff.
I think it's time to sell the company while he still a little value left.
I think the Board of Directors and our newest boardmember's in particular should explore the sale of the company. I think a company like Apple may be interested in buying us for the tax loss carry forward and the technology that we have.
If my math is correct, we probably have about a $60 million tax loss that in acquiring company could utilize against their profits. $60 million in losses should translate into approximately $20 million in tax loss value for a profitable company. I have another $5 million for intellectual property value and that should give us a intrinsic value of about $25 million.
My math relatively correct, that should put us in about $.35 a share maybe we could even stretch and $.40 a share.
At this stage of the game, I think I take $.40 share without thinking twice.
Wick, I hope you're more wrong than me, it's bad enough if we see 12 but the dip to seven that would be really really bad. That would be putting us in of 3 1/2 cents stock again. A level we have never seen in the last 15 years if not the life of the Company.
I can't remember who it was that made the comment back when the stock was trading in the mid to upper 20s that the reverse split would be the kiss of death.
Guess they were right. Reverse split seldom go well.
Looks like we had our trade at 14.1 cents today. I hate when I'm right
I hope I'm wrong about the low of $.12.
What is marketing doing these days? I have a suggestion, how about all of those little swipe sensors, I believe 75,000 of them that we own that we probably sold zero, why don't you send those out as samples to some of these IT banking executives and let them try it out. You never can tell, somebody might actually buy one.
I had an interesting evening last night, had dinner with the vice president of technology for a major Northeast regional bank.
I asked him about fraud, security, credentialing and other areas of interest that BioKey would play in. He told me that it was their number one focus and biggest problem that they face today. He mentioned Apple Pay in the significant changes he seeing his business. Then I asked him if he had ever heard of A company by the name of bio key. He had absolute lewdly no clue about bio key and what we do.
If financial and banking along with healthcare is our most significant target markets, I have to wonder why every executive in information technology has not heard of us.
What exactly is the bio key marketing department doing these days?
Looks like a big share dump in progress. I expect the bottom is probably between 12 and $.14.
That reverse split, doubling the dilution and bringing on a bunch of slick investors really did the trick for us this year boys and girls. Only thing left to do now is wait for the next round of dilution probably another three months.
I have a great idea, why doesn't somebody go out and sell something and reduce the overhead. Too many people not doing anything to build this business.
Now that's a really hard question to answer. I wonder why we can't vote for our board members?
Can I get back to you on that one?
Maybe they will do the million this quarter, wouldn't that be a nice surprise for a change.
If they don't do the million dollar quarter, my concern is that we will need money and have to go out to the markets again resulting in more delusion.
Too many chiefs to pay, not enough Indians to go hunting.
Sell something
Just like the good old days when we had all those preferred shareholders. Every press release was used as a selling opportunity because they would get cheaper shares later on when their interest payment was due.
You all remember, they could either take their payment in shares or cash and the lower the selling price the last 10 days of the quarter the more shares they got.
Yeah, just like the good old days, all dressed up and nowhere to go.
Here's my solution, how about no more meaningless press releases that add nothing to the sales value of this company. If there is no monetary value to the press release, Skip it. The only thing that will move the value of the stock forward, is revenue.
Sell something.
We can only hope. Will the bouquet be worth anything?
Really knocked it out of the park with this press release, we are only down 5% today.
Just what we need another partner, always a bridesmaid never the bride. It's it's unfortunate that signing up partners isn't worth any money to us. If it was we'd all be doing really well.
How about if we sell something.
Oops sorry about that, I think the sarcasm was overshadowed by the total lack of performance in the stock over the last couple of years.
I guess I've lost my sense of humor when it come to this company and its performance. Of course I think the best cure for that would be for somebody to actually sell something.
What do you find encouraging about nine cents a share pre-split?
The company is probably worth $.25 a share pre-split in bankruptcy. For those of you that mathematically challenged, I guess we would call that $.50 a share pre-split in bankruptcy.
Unfortunately, all this boils down to a complete lack of confidence in management.
Has anyone read the 10K on this company? According to what I just read, they are not expected ship anything until second-quarter 2015, is that right?
Bio key provided guidance about 10 days ago indicating the quarter would be between 500,000 and $1 million. The quarter closes today, I wonder if they'll update that guidance? It would be nice. Maybe that would be enough to get this stock moving again.
Incredibly pathetic trading for a company that is in hypergrowth right now. What is it going to take to move this company forward?
Sorry Sean boy my mistake, I will try to be more careful the next time.
I have grown to never assume anything when it comes to BIO-key. Unless I see it in writing, feel it in braille, or witness it being tattooed on Mike's four head, it's a nonevent. If I had a penny for every single piece of information that came out of this company that sounded like great news, I could be very wealthy without the stock.
As I used to tell my sales team years ago, nothing happens until somebody sells something, so go sell something. If IDEX has acquired a powerful proprietary matching algorithm, hopefully they acquired it from BKYI in The form of a sale which would include revenue and profit.
My last comment for you Sean boy is, who did you piss off to get banned from the board?
Anyone have a thought as to what the statement in this IDEX article/PR means "we have developed a proprietary matching algorithm"?
Is this proprietary matching algorithm something that they would use to replace bio keys matching algorithm?
I don't know about the rest of you folks but that statement is a little concerning to me without more explanation.
B1, what are you talking about? What new investor relations firm?
Who are they?
Why do we need them? Don't we have Vice president of marketing?
With all these marketing people, why is it nobody has a clue what this company does and nobody has any interest in investing in it?
What we really needed somebody to go out to sell this stuff.
Why the big selloff today?
Somehow I seem to recall being told that the reverse split was needed so that our new investors could take even larger positions and we would have more new institutional investors after that split. Doesn't seem to be working out that well, does it?
At least we had a large volume day, just unfortunate was in the wrong direction. Things are not looking terribly promising, are they?
It looks like the only thing this new technology is disruptive to is our share price.
All confidence in this company's ability to succeed has been lost. Something significant has to change.
Sean boy, what exactly was conciliatory about his comment?
I would've been much happier to hear him say something more in the tune of, "I think our stock is undervalued given our guidance going forward and the prospects for our business plan and pipeline of opportunities".
Like I have been saying for the past many many years, management has no skin in the game with this company which makes me wonder why? Free options and free stock does not constitute management ownership in any committed way in my mind.
This company's management as well as its Board of Directors has had ample opportunity to buy stock in this company on the open market if they believe that the future potential they're trying to convey was real. Many investors that I trade with believe that insider ownership is probably the most significant key metric of the value or potential value of the company. Management isn't willing to own the stock why should other investors be interested in owning it either.
Biometric 1 I think you are right on the mark with that comment.
BIO-key first-quarter guidance is like shooting fish in a barrel.
With nine days left in the quarter, guidance shouldn't be all that difficult. It's pretty obvious they got a $500,000 in The bag already and they're hoping that another order closes in the next nine days that we get them closer to 1 million Dollar Quartet. Can't this management be more straightforward and specific?
I'm still trying to figure out what happened to all those orders from last year that slipped into future quarters. My calendar seems to indicate that we are at least 3 to 4 quarters past those future quarters projecting last years guidance and none of those orders have ever shown up. Is sales and marketing that clueless?
Given the projected loss for 2015, I think it's time to trim headcount. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians and the Indians don't seem to be getting the job done. I hate to be this harsh, but it's obvious that something significant has to change here.
On the brighter side, next year is only 12 months away now.
Wow, that was quite The adult response. I bet you own A few hundred shares and think that's a big deal. That's probably why you're not concerned with how the performance of this company actually has been going over the last five years. You really don't have any vested interest here.
You know Sean boy, my answer to you is very simple you have no clue what's going on in the world. You think that this kind of management is acceptable? You think this kind of activity in this company is good. Give me a break, when is it that management should be held accountable to do their job.?
You know, it's not really about insider buying as much as it is insiders having confidence in the company that they work for. It really does make you wonder when insiders don't own any of their own company though. doesn't that make you asked the question why?
I expect you'll be calling into the conference call tomorrow and ask you some real tough questions, I'll be listening. Maybe the other question I should ask is, are you going to be part of the conference call?
Call me, let's chat.
Biometric1, what do you think this is, Comedy Central? You think this is some kind of a joke?
We are about to embark on the inflection point of a lifetime. Naysayers Like you don't have a place in this company. I suggest you dial-in tomorrow to be part of the conference call. I think we can use your wit, in site and objective opinions on the call
What is a pipeline anyway?
It concerns me that loyal shareholders that had been holding this stock for 10 to 12 years were treated like chumps at the expense of these new investors that have absolutely no loyalty to this company at all.
And to be really honest, what I really feel foolish about is supporting this company for as long as I have and being blinded by the promises of better quarters to come.
Someone once told me that the best indication of a stock on the rise, is insiders buying. I guess I really should have listen to that advice and realized that no insiders was putting any money into this company and that should've been the clear signal to cut and run.
If the results do not look good tomorrow or any promising indicators, I think it's time for management to either step down or take a serious pay cut until They are able to produce a positive results. I think that had long enough.
It's time for the board to act.
Biometric1, not long ago, less than a year ago I was willing to throw about another 1/2 million dollars into this company, Maybe adding as much as another 2.5 million shares. I was really thinking that part time had finally come in by metrics were getting ready to make a real positive move. there wasn't another stock in my portfolio that came close to being as significant as bio key was. I have to tell you, since that time BIO-key is now far from the most significant part of my portfolio. just not convinced of its future anymore.
It took me a while but I finally realize that I could not keep all of my investment in this company. Since then, I have taken on very significant positions and another security company called Nepco securities. my position in that company has increased to such a point where bio key is more of an insignificant player these days.
I still have hope for bio keys future, unfortunately I just don't think it's anywhere's near the level that I once took it could be
Sean boy, you are so full of it it's getting sickening. I be happy to take you on but I issued you a challenge a while ago, you went mute. Maybe you're happy with the performance of this company but I can tell you, I am not.
If this company has the potential that everyone seems to think it has, then this.should be trading in a much more positive manner. The problem is, no one believes in this company anymore and to be quite honest I have my serious doubts as to whether this company is worth anything.
Insider ownership in any company is always a very positive sign of future results. With this company having very limited insider ownership, it tells me that even the executives lack confidence and aren't willing to invest their own money. When I own more shares them all inside combined and probably to The tune of twice the number of shares of all insiders combined, I think you really have to wonder what's going on.
The value of this company should be heavily weighted towards the future potential of its business prospects, not the historical value. With that tells me is that people just don't believe that the future as this company is being managed today has a bright and prosperous future.
I'm sure you will have this message deleted as I know that you can't handle the truth about this company. I would very much like to be wrong in my assessment right now especially since I have over 3 1/2 million shares of this company. Oh yeah that's right it's only 1.75 million now after they took half of my investment and gave it to a bunch of investors that really could care less about the future of this company so long as they can make their private deals
I wonder if they already have news that we did not win those big bank jobs?
Is this another big opportunity that has gone by the wayside?
Hmmmmmm..... Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
Are the new $.10 superstar investors dumping their shares already?
Sorry, It was only 111,150 shares
111,650 shares at $.15, nice job on the reverse split boys
A 7 1/2 cents stock once again
Sorry, but I'm not interested in your one dollar or now two dollar lunch, i've learned to resist when people try feeding me crap these days. I think you should take my offer up and take the cash. You can go buy another 10 shares of bio key stock with it.
Maybe you should be ranting and raving a little bit. Perhaps that would help management understand how frustrated shareholders have become over years of failed promises. you should recall the promise of being profitable in 2012 and then in 2013 and that in 2014. I'm confident so, the 2015 will be our year.
I don't recall ever discussing my investment strategies with you at any point in the years that you've been on this board. Unless of course you're an insider and then you would know what I'm talking about.
I don't even want to go down the road discussing the last pipe or should I say the last half dozen pipes. I would ask you again though, are you really that happy that other investors were made whole when investors like you and I got our investment cut in half? yes, you got it, I'm pissed off camper these days.
I'd be more than happy to go another 15 rounds with you on the subject but I'm not going to do it on a message board. Feel free to ask your buddies at bio key for my phone number, I'm sure they'll pass it along to you. Besides, how will I know how to collect my two dollars on this bet or if by chance you win, and I would be happy to see you win, because it means this company did more business than I believe they're going to do in the fourth quarter? Besides, if you win I will need to know where to send that can of dog food that they serve in the casino.
Okay Sean boy, you're on. I'll take that bet and I will even double it to two dollars if you like.
I would give you my range of $900,000-$950,000 for Q4.
Maybe you feel good about having your share value diluted by over 50% in the last 12 months. But I can assure you, I do not. as far as I can tell, I am an accredited investor and had no opportunity to get cheap share like the others. Furthermore, I really have to question why you seem to feel good about having somebody else's stock price and warrants repriced when our shares were not repriced at all. I made an investment in this company many many years ago and have weathered the storm and taken my hit in terms of shareprice loss. Nobody's come to my rescue and said gee, why don't we help you out because of this bad investment. No one has reset the price of the shares that I bought over the years. why do you feel good about that? I suggested to management that if they wanted to go ahead and do the special favors and special deals for these so-called investors, why didn't they throw investors like us a bone and give us the opportunity to buy or obtain some warrants.
I will even go as far as to tell you that I had told management that I would be willing to take on another $500,000 in stock as well as Bring in additional investors that could've probably picked up another 1/2 million dollars. I would have much preferred to protect my 3 1/2 million share investment with $.15 share is rather then sell $.10 shares to a bunch of investors that will probably just dump them as soon as they have the opportunity.
I could go on and on about this but I'll end it with this last statement. Why is it that I own more shares than all of management and insiders combined? Do they not believe in this company like I did? Our share price isn't sitting at near all-time lows because of lack of business prospects but rather lack of confidence in managements ability to get the job done. I'm sure next year will be our year though.
