GOOG's board of directors unanimously agreed on issuing class B stock and doing a 2-for-1 stock split
And a split?? Jeez, going to watch GOOG closely
Woops..meant puts!
In 10 SINA April '12 W Calls at .07 for an end-of-week lotto play
Thanks man!
Absolutely, will do. In Latin class now so I'll try and post something later this afternoon :)
Thanks a ton, could not have had the skill or confidence to pull it off without the help from this board! You guys rock!!!
Out 10 TITN April 21 '12 $30 Calls at 5.20 from .50 on Tuesday!
I just need to clarify something. For an out of the money option with no intrinsic value, just extrinsic, is the reason the premium grows with the price of the underlying just implied volatility and time decay? As the underlying moves in price, so too does the implied volatility?
Had you already! Thanks :)
Who else would you recommend following on twitter? :)
In 5 LNKD Apr 12 W 110 C's at .70, watching closely
Awesome gap up with LNKD, trading at mid-105's. Going to wait for morning consolidation as a buy opportunity, don't want to jump the gun. Have a great day, guys!
Did not know any of this! Thank you!
I don't have PM, but I'll try and figure it out over the weekend - thanks!
LNKD up 2.58 to 105.25 in pre-market, should be a fun day. Came near 98 yesterday and closed at 102.67, let's see that kind of range today and make a great play! Will post my entry/exit!
Thanks for the warm welcome, sdh! :) let's have a great Friday!
Thank you so much for clearing this up!
Close, good with the indicators but that only covers five minutes in the day. I'm talking about a candlestick chart that covers an entire day, but the candles are five minutes apart, you know?
Daily chart with 5min intervals, with ma(3) ma(13) ma(39) ema(8) ema(20) volume MACD, Fast Stoch(14, 3), RSI
Not quite
Thanks a lot, bud!
I can e-mail you the chart if you want to pm me your e-mail, I have it all ready to go, just can't get it in URL form.
I can't really do that. I am using TOS and I got it so the picture of the chart is in TextEdit (I have a mac), but I can't get it online. Anyone know how to get around this?
How do I post charts? And I have a limited number of posts per day, which is why I'm trying to fit as much into my messages as possible. I have the LNKD intraday 5min chart in front of me. At 2pm, MA(3) crossed over MA(13, 39) and EMA(8) crossed over EMA(20). At EOD, MACD seemed to be starting bearish trend, but the big dip in the RSI (from around 86.27 to 16.67) suggests a big sale, and when LNKD goes below that 30 RSI it rebounds nicely. What's your take?
Sure, no problem. I also use the EMA(8) and (20). I'll try and post my plays as frequently as possible!
Well we can at least get you a couple more steps down the road. Make sure when you post your picks to tell us why or what makes you like this stock. Like 60m chart is setting up with the macd moving into postitions and drilling down to x chart to look for entry. Something that will help someone look at the chart from you prospective. Are you more of a swing trader or daytrader and what charts are you usiing.
Will do, I'll be sure to post my take on it. It honestly depends on the trade. There are days where I'll be in and out in a matter of minutes or hours, and some weeks where I'll hold an option for a few days. But I'd have to say I'm a swing trader with a day trader's mentality.
I generally stick to the intraday 5min chart, but switch between that, the 2day 10min and the 5day 15min charts with MA(3), MA(13), MA(39), MACD (12, 26, 9), FSI (14, 3), and RSI.
:)
Alright, sounds good. I'm J. I love many topics, but my favorites at the moment are music, theoretical physics and finance. I got into trading my junior year of high school, and during this, my senior year, I've fallen in love with options trading! I have had great success (for a high school kid) in equities and derivatives trading, but I would love to someday make a career out of this passion for finance. Over the next few months, I would like to improve my technical analysis skills and understanding of using chart indicators and time cycles to plan an optimal entry/exit plan for each trade.
I'd also like to get any feedback from the veterans on this board about my picks. I'll try and post the options I like and why I like them as frequently as I can, but I am unfortunately limited to trading and posting during classes.
I am confident all of you at this board will be incredibly helpful, and I look forward to talking to and sharing ideas with all of you!
J
Hey guys, I've been following this board for about two weeks now and I want to say that I absolutely love what I see. Really intelligent points of view from really intelligent traders. I look forward to continuing to learn from all of you :)
Next Thurs
Bought 10 AMZN March Weekly Calls at .64, holding at 2.10! Bought 10 TIF April Calls at .85, holding at 1.39!
What are you all thinking about the AAPL March Weekly 635 and 640 C's?
Yesterday bought 2 AAPL Mar 12 565 C's at 1.45, just sold them both at 18.75 - $290 into $3750!
Sold 10 RVBD FEB 12 26 C's at 2.03, bought at .76 - great day for this new trader! :)
Thank you for your help, all of you! It means a lot.
Do you know how to do this on the ThinkOrSwim platform? Preferably the mobile, as I still have to attend class while trading!
Good call, I'll set that at open tomorrow. Still learning - what would you set this one at?
Thanks, man. Going to hold and see where this goes!
Bought 10 RVBD Feb 12 26 C's at .76 on Friday, now at 1.89 - gotta love those gains!
